This Farm is a mess [Stardew Valley]
All right, there we go. You know what I forgot to do? I forgot to pull up chat on a separate device. So, give me a second to do that cuz otherwise I’m going to continue to forget. Um, but uh I’ll be honest, it has probably been a while since I’ve played Stardew. Or well, no, it hasn’t been a while since I played Stardew. What I mean to say is it’s been a while since I last been able to stream. And that’s partially because I’ve recently moved in with family. Um, I moved in with my grandparents. There we go. That actually works a lot better. And I still have space. Plug stuff in. Sorry if uh Avatar bugs out for a bit. But uh I’ve been goofing around with how my model looks. I hope that this looks all right. Uh I might eventually redo it anyways. Give me a second. Pull up stream manager. There we go. Oh, wait. But I’m too far off to the side, I think. No. Uh, the other thing that I’ve been messing around with is tail physics. So, hopefully I mean, I can still read chat uh just fine, though. It’s just that my tail might occasionally cover chat. All right. See, there we go. Anyways, I may have been goofing around. Uh, this is my long-term. Don’t ask why I named it Arvark. I was bored. Uh, wait. I I think I clicked load game. I don’t remember which account I was last playing on for stream, though. So, let’s just real quickly set up a new little thing. I’m just going to uh what should I call this? I don’t know. I’m playing this on a laptop, so I have no idea what I should call it. Yeah, I guess I guess the other thing I probably do eventually need to figure out is just a better lighting setup because all I really have is one lamp and the window that I with blinds that I forgot to close cuz it is 9:00 where I currently am. And I’m probably going to go until 11. Oh, wait. You know what? I’m just going to name this steamed ham. There’s a homer. There’s a reference for you. And as usual, my favorite thing is potatoes. And I’m going to go with that cat. And I’m going to set this to to a dark green. All right. And then there you go. Perfect. And there was a shirt that I found earlier that I like a lot more than the skull one, I think. There it is. Perfect. And just so that everything fits a little better there. nice and desaturated. All I need now are my glasses or a clown nose. Those I’ll be honest, those glasses look weird. I don’t like those glasses. I thought there was a different set of glasses. Those looked Oh, there we go. And I think I’m going to go with the standard farm. So, let’s just get into it. All right, here’s our present from Mayor Lewis. In other news, the thing that I will continue have a hard time doing is remembering to greet everyone because like in game I am ter like in real life I am terrible at remembering to do that which is why it took me until year two to get full hearts with one person and even then I’ll probably end up having to pull up the wiki just because I cannot remember how to do something or uh what someone likes. Oh, heck yeah, Clay. That’s going to sell real nicely. All right. Now, let’s plant mix seed and then the parsnip. And instead of talking to people like a normal person, let me water this. Oh, wait. There are more efficient ways of standing around and watering things. Watch me continuously bumble everything. There we go. And now to collect an obscene amount of resources just so I can have money. Cuz unfortunately everything revolves around how much gold you can have. And me remembering that I need to right click to interact with things and not destroy things cuz I’ve been playing too much Minecraft lately. Uh, just clean up the area around here just so I have more space to what’s it called? Just more space to farm. I forgot how long it takes to cut down one tree. This is going to take forever. That’ll get faster on day five when I can finally get access to copper. Well, then I think uh fishing also becomes it also becomes a lot more efficient to uh fish in order to get money at least in the early game. Unless I want to stand around and do clay farming, which I do not. And I have tried clay farming. It’s just that I don’t really enjoy the idea of doing that, especially when I feel like I could make better use of my time being a bit more entertaining and just exploring the area. Or at least that’s just my opinion. I don’t know. Different people take different approaches to doing different things. I like exploring to gain more and more ridiculous things. And if I ever go back to streaming Minecraft, I don’t enjoy playing in a snow biome all that much. I’m probably going to do increasingly ridiculous things with redstone as I learn more and more. Another thing I’m probably going to work on doing is that once I finally get a new capture card, I am going to hopefully start streaming again or not streaming again, streaming art again. I have not been able to stream art because well, my current network doesn’t really support the method that I’ve been using. And using Discord to stream requires me not only to sign into my alt account, but is not necessarily as reliable due to the same network limitations. But there is another big project that I am loosely working on which is just role playing game related stuff. Um bunch nuggets. There’s a big stump here and I cannot destroy those until I have a better axe. Anyways, where was I? All right. Um, the big project that I’ve been working on is a Dong Rampa inspired style killing game, and I’m currently working with a another person on that. I plan on making cast art of everyone. So, um, I won’t probably be able to show off most of that, but I will hopefully be able to work on and show off portraits of the host that I’m planning on using for that little fun thing. Other thing I’m hopefully going to begin working on here is recreating an app I made for my mobile app design class. I actually had a lot of fun the first time I made And by had a lot of fun. I mean, I didn’t know how GitHub worked and ended up recreating the app three separate times because I broke something and didn’t know how how far or where in the code it broke. Anyways, I’m going to continue weed whacking and getting mixed seeds. I’m probably going to sell a lot of the fiber at first, mostly because it’ll be a while before it can kind of become useful. See? Uh there. I don’t really enjoy using this side. It just feels so kind of clunky. I guess the only thing I will say though is that I’m probably not going to attempt to do any Stardew based speedruns cuz I just don’t really enjoy speed running things. Ah, poor me. I’m about to pass out. Anyways, first things first, deposit the clay. Second thing, see if I can make a chest. There we go. And now I can store all those semiimportant things that are going to be surprise tools that can help us later cuz I need gold. The other thing I need to get is please tell me I’m not going to pass out if I do this. Okay, that works. Uh, can I pick you up? Okay, I don’t have to expend energy to forge. But the thing is, I’m going to need more than one of those if I’m going to eat it. Anyways, let’s go say hi to the neighbors. I say as I realized I probably should have put more down more stuff since I’m low on energy and it’s kind of pointless and I don’t want to spend any of the money that will be required to drag me back to bed. And if you if anyone knows me, it is that my organization system is horrible and will probably take 5 years for me to actually fix. Even though I have built auto, even though I it doesn’t matter if it’s Minecraft or if it’s Stardew Valley, I will forget to sort everything. Why is this always buying one leak? All right. Gosh dang it. Okay, so I can’t do that yet. I’m going to go claim my fishing rod and probably buy the uh training rod because that just makes leveling up fishing way easier and then I can sell stuff for more and then it becomes a heck of a lot easier. Hi Willie. All right. And then I’m going to have to wait for this to open at forging ahead. Craft a furnace. What do I need to craft a furnace again? I need 20 copper ore that I do not have because I need to wait for the mines to open. I think on um see I always get confused whenever that message pops up and I am nowhere near needing any kind of sleep. I think the sto the mines opens on day five, which is the soonest I can get anything from there. By anything, I mean an excessive amount of copper. Hey, free carrots. It is time to expand the farm. It expands. Why do I keep on forgetting that it is I’m going to be suffering the entire time? All right, other thing I am going to do is probably get more wood. Actually, no. Willies is open now, which means I can get a training rod and not have to deal with the bamboo pole until way later. And by way later, I mean when I can upgrade it and continue ignoring the bamboo pole, cuz there are better fishing rods in the bamboo pole and level one fishing is already hard enough. Oh, wait. I don’t think I’ve talked to Jody. I’m pretty sure uh getting like four stars with Jody gets you like a what’s it called? Get you key blossom tree blossom saplings which is a pretty good source of income. I’m not completely sure. I probably relied way too much on the wiki. Heck yeah. play. Hello, sir. I would like to buy one training rod. I will continue to ignore my bamboo pole as it collects dust in my inventory. Louis, the other reason I do fishing is that’s the only other thing that does not require on a ridiculous amount of uh chance in order to move forward. At least I think it doesn’t. I’ll take it. Okay, that spot is gone, which means it’s time to move to a better spot without the constant thumping against a rock. The best part of fishing is that I can also eat some of the fish if I want to continue fishing. I probably should check if there’s a better area to catch uh what’s called Alvie. Um river fish or not river. Wait, is this the lake, right? Cuz all the other lakes I can think of tend to have trash. How much algae am I going to catch? Oh, Jojo trash. There we go. An actual fish. thing is I don’t remember which fish I need for the river bundle for the for any of the fish bundles really. I am going to need crab pots regardless cuz I’m not doing remix. I hate I hate it when the bobber bounces. It makes this mini game so much harder. Oh, yay. B. And I’m already out of inventory. I’m drinking the worthless item first. Hey, theoretically this should also get me everything I need in order to get the first backpack upgrade. I think that happens at 1,00 I think it’s 1,000 All right. Come on. Get stay. There we go. I’ll be honest, I don’t really value either of these that much, but going to toss that out for now. Eat the jelly and fish into the ground. There you go. Although what I will say is that one one thing I will probably never do again is use the four corners farm which I’ll be honest kind of was a little frustrating because I could not figure out how it worked. But the classic is pretty good. It’s It’s a little dull, but it’s reliable. I am curious how the other I I probably might eventually make farms on the other versions. I mean, the long-term game file that I’ve been playing on was done on the four corners farm. All right. All right. What do you got for me? And I’ll just toss up the stone cuz I’ll be honest, I don’t really I can get an excessive amount of stone whenever I want. I don’t need it right now. I cannot wait until this becomes a less significant issue into the trash because I don’t have a recycler. I mean then again like recycling does become a lot more valuable later on. Then again a lot of things become a lot more valuable later on. I mean, I do know one thing I plan on rectifying at least with this run is that I am going to start getting farms farm animal stuff a lot earlier. Mostly because it just is kind of useful and important to have. Not to mention, it’s a pretty good money maker. especially if uh you get the artisan products. I think I the other thing I know I need to do early on is probably set up like a bunch of cap trees that would have been useful to hold on to until I could get a recycler cuz I think yeah glasses are a source of refined quartz at least if you put them in recycler. All right. Oh, rice shoots are really nice. Um, I mean, green algae is kind of a dime a dozen. And mix seeds are an absolute mystery. I mean, right shoots, I can literally, as long as they’re next to water, I can just plant them and wander off. So, I I definitely want those. No. Get in the bar. Stay in the bar. All right. Uh, invade. I’ll take all of those. Then it is time to head home. And before I do that, I’m going to say hi to Sebastian. and Demetrius aka Nerd Supreme. Great. I need all of these uh nuggets. What can I just put down? What can I afford to put down? Um I hate having a tiny resource bar. The horseradish and the railroad is blocked off which means no sauna. Oh, look leaks. I can upgrade my foraging level. Let’s see. I think that just means I need a dandelion because I’m pretty sure I picked up a daffodil yesterday. And unfortunately, I think dandelions are the one thing I struggle the most to find. all those back. And then take that and time to pass out for the night. Oh, look. Uh, I do know that a lot of fish are probably just going to be out of my skill level to catch. Actually, yeah, if I go to the river, it is definitely going to be a lot harder to catch, even though the fish there are a lot more high value in terms of both experience and gold value. All right, what is this first request for? Probably not to walk into a a building. seaweed. That requires going to the ocean. Well, time to test my luck and see how terrible I am or if my skills have become rusty. But 60 gold is 60 gold. Charging ahead. Craft a furnace. I can’t do that yet. Although I do know I won’t be able to deliver the seaweed at the very least today because I think on rain days Elliot just stays in his cottage and you can’t get in unless you’re like friend level four with him. I’m probably also going to wait for like the day of a festival to finally say hi to everyone. All right, come on fishies. Bite my hook. The waiting part is the worst part of fishing, but this part is the frustrating part, especially if it’s a squirmy little guy. No. Come on, please. Please. I don’t remember how much value they have. I’m gonna I sell my coal to get stuff a little faster. I mean, regardless, I’m going to need a lot of gold pretty quickly, especially if I kind of if I don’t want to just sit for a long time. All I know is that I’m still pretty sure like the mountainside lake is the best source of like early game quick or at least value in terms of difficulty. Then again, like getting a bunch of easy to catch fish is also just a lot better in ter um just getting the fishing level ups which make that bar get bigger. Okay, I’m going back to the training rod. I hate this thing. Oh, wait. Oh, Sebastian. I still have yet to decide if I ever want to romance anyone or just do anything related to moving one of them in because I just don’t really care to cuz I do know that is technically a part of the game but it’s just not one I’m that interested in. All I know is that I cannot wait until I unlock the mine carts upgrade because otherwise this is going to be because this is the close. A daffodil. Where on earth is a dandelion? And the other thing I do know is that I think like day four is like the earliest you can get into the community. Well, not day four. Day five. I mean, it also just comes with the added bonus that fishing in general can get a pull a decent amount of income in the early game, unless you’re more in favor of clay farming, which I don’t enjoy doing. Cuz at least with fishing, you’re kind of doing something. I still can’t believe that someone that people make it a game out of seeing how fast they can complete the game that is all about being pretty relaxing. Obelisk. Obelisk. The end game is the obelisk. Cuz the only thing that really feels kind of inconvenient is literally walking everywhere. Fish, fish, fish, fish, man. What I will say though is that uh at one point in time I did play a funny knockoff version of Stardw Valley on my iPad. I forget what it’s called, but um for some reason there was a weird fixation on um multiplayer stuff, even though the multiplayer stuff was like there was literally a guild system in it. I just never really got far in it because I found some of the mechanics a little too frustrating to even be worth continued play. I’m going to sell all I got today. Yeah, please be enough to get me backpack and a fiberglass rod because I hate the training rod and I hate the other rod. Nice. Okay, I think I only have enough to get the backpack up, right? I mean, today I also It would also be nice to get a decent stack of green algae. I don’t know how much I’ll need though. Because the goal is to get as deep in the mines as possible. I don’t know how speed runners do it. I don’t have the patience to speedrun and meticulously calculate everything. I’m just here to have a good time and a little bit of fun. I think I could theoretically level up farming a little faster if I cuz there is a place um in the forest. Uh I forget the exact name of the forest yet what the forest here is called but there is a place where I think spring onions can grow although those are considered forable so I don’t know if it would count towards farming or forage. After the I catch those fish, I’m going to go ahead over there and see if the if I can find a dandelion down there cuz right now it is more annoying to get a little bit more annoying to do a lot of things in the early game cuz this goes down so dang fast. The other reason I don’t really like cutting down trees early on is because it is a lot of time invested for little in terms of returns for very little reward unless you count wood. So now that I have all of those, I’m just going to hold on to them instead of planting them right away. And with that step handled, it is time to go back to fishing. Mine, mine, and mine. Oh, look. I didn’t have another nearly have another complete set, which means I can make spring seeds. There we go. Hi there. I’m going to skip past that. All right, because it is going to spawn me over there and I still need to walk all the way there just so I can go inside, poke one thing, and then leave. I have all the forgeables. can’t read that. So, I’m going to need to wait for the wizard to turn translate it. And by translate it, I mean give me a translation guide. And I’m pretty sure the next backpack upgrade is also 10,000 gold. So, I’m going to need that as soon as possible. Now on to the slow part of the day, which is literally just getting materials so I can or not getting materials, gathering an excessive amount of fish and praying. that a good luck day comes. I probably shouldn’t anymore, especially since I noticed that even though I am up late at night, it is harder for me to keep talking. Especially since I am in a house with the elderly and evening is also my go. This is probably going to be the last time I stream this late at night. cuz I think I like it better when I’m streaming around mid to late afternoon. Then I could also theoretically start streaming all day until I finally find a job. Especially since I’m honestly kind of having me luck with the job market that isn’t aren’t a lot of people by a lot of people I mean people in the No. Come on. Fish. Fish. There we go. All right. And yay, another fish. I’ll be honest, this is probably one of my drier streams, but it’s late at night. What can you do? Chest. I want the chest. Stop running away. You know, one thing I have been thinking about doing is eventually starting my own SMP. I don’t know what I’d do. It’d probably just be a bunch of a loose collection of random individuals running around like headless chickens. The other I mean I am also looking at like other projects to join because I am getting kind of bored. Is that the end person chasing community especially since I’m out of college now? And there are also a lot of games I haven’t played in a while or at least I temporarily stopped playing them. Partially because of strikes, partially because I just lost a little bit of interest. But I might pick them up again. I don’t really know for sure. It’s just that I kind of I’ll be honest, I feel like I’ve largely lost sight of what I originally wanted this channel to be. I mean, I’m probably going to continue doing a whole variety of things because I enjoy variety, but I don’t know. I’m probably not going to play that many big games though because I’ll be honest. I think retro and I think stuff like this is more my cup of tea because I’m not really that big into combat focused and oriented games. At least I’ve never really been that into them. Like long-term strategy stuff, but that’s about it. Hit the kitty and then pass out. There we go. Scarecrow. And all right. All right. This is the part where I’m going to regret not having a lot of fiber. Am I? This is the part where I regret not selling half my fiber. Crafting. I need Oh, wait. No, I just need one more viver. I can get that really easily. Come on. Drop a piece of fiber for me, please. There we go. Uh, before I forget, pet the cat. I never was able to figure out what the food bowl was for. wood and what else? Okay, that is all I needed for a scarecrow. See, one, two, three, one, two, three, six, 7, 8, 9. We’ll just put it there and hope that it covers enough. And can I craft fertilizer yet? Yes, I can. All right, time to sprinkle that wherever the heck I can place it. That is apparently going to be all I can place. Now I can buy the fiberglass rod. Pull that back in there and go talk to Resnius or go talk to the wizard. Darn it. Forgot. I can’t go this way. Never mind. I guess I can’t go that way either. I need to go get my I really need to clear the area. At least I have a path back there. There’s inventory. And I also forgot to check what my luck was today. I’m going to be sad if today turned out to be a good luck day. Notice do not have my cursor hovering here if I’m going to be attempting to use a tool later. Hello, sir. Just tell me what you know, nerd. Now that is official introductions. Five more people left to find and one of them includes cranky old man. I mean, I guess the other thing I can do now is get a fiberglass rod, which means I can use bait. Eight. No. Oh, wait. Child I have not met. Who have I not met? Oh man, Haley. Wait, I never I never actually talked to Pierre. I bought stuff from Pierre, yet I somehow never met him. Crab pot. Can I have pot? And he’s gone fishing. Gosh dang it. I guess I’ll use that time instead to go formally introduce myself to Pierre. I’m trying to scratch my face. Wait. Hello. I don’t think we formally met. All right. So it is 10k. Um that case today I just drop stuff off and then cry if it turns out today was a good luck day. the spring forgeables. All of these I don’t remember if but I do know that I unlocked the props bundle and the fish bundle immediately after filling all that. Okay, so today is a good enough day to go mining. That that and where is this? All right, let’s do community center cuz I get good rewards for it. All right, let’s go all the way over here. Spring porridge, collect my seeds, and unlock more foraging stuff or not foraging, other stuff. and realize I didn’t bring any of the fish. I need a cauliflower and a potato. And I’m pretty sure I already grabbed and planted those. Oh, wait. No, I don’t think I got the cauliflower. I got a bean. That’s what I did. All right, let’s go to the mines. Today is a good a day if any. And I need to level up my mining skills. The children yearn for the mines. All right. I also get a trusty old sword. All right, there’s one copper. Only 5 billion more to go. Give me the stone. There we go. I forget how frustrating these things are to kill. I cannot wait till I have better weapons. That also requires leveling up, I think. What was the quest? What am I on? Reach level five. Okay, I can do that. I need you. And you know, they’re honestly kind of 50/50 in terms of how valuable they are. I mean, like they’re okay early game, but late game they kind of just are better to sell instead of crack. I mean, I do know at the very least that you don’t need to um they at the very least contain some pretty good stuff, but they tend to be more valuable if you just sell them as geodess instead of cracking them. Right now, the goal is to get to floor five. And I’m not going all the way back just to pick up a rock. Darn. It didn’t drop anything. I’m just going to continue to ignore that rock cuz it is more of an inconvenience to mine and it and I don’t think the 2 by twos even have a chance to drop a hole. Come on. Please. Please give me a ladder. I need a ladder. Ladder. No ladder. Please. Ladder. There we go. I still need a lot more copper. And I am not finding a lot. And I think we am going to have to look for the miners thing uh somewhere around here. There we go. Then I think I’m just going to head out of the mines for the night. And what time is I’m probably also going to actually turn in for the night too cuz I am a little tired. I guess I need to I get that at in the morning bug me. I need the I need the copper. Yay. Walking into stuff. I I forgot to water everything, didn’t I? I’m waffling so hard. There bombs. Uh, I’m just going to call it here. I’m tired. Anyways, good night everyone.
