I Survived 100 Days as a DIAMOND HYDRA in HARDCORE Minecraft
On day one, I spawned deep inside of my beautiful diamond cave swamp. I was a baby diamond hydra, wanting to prove myself to my people. One day, son, I promise you’ll grow to be a strong hydra. But for now, stay close to me, your queen. Sure thing, Mom. Suddenly, the sky above the cave cracked open and portals of fire burst through. Netherite griffins dove in from the Nether, screeching and tearing through our home. Oh no. Protect our queen. Groups of diamond hydras ran in to defend. I tried to, but I was nowhere near as strong. Stay back. You’re the weakest hydra here. You’ll just mess everything up. My fellow hydras were clearly losing and were one by one dragged deep into the Nether. No, our people. For centuries I, Firewing, have slept trapped in a prison. Now I feast, and this world will burn. He sent out a fiery screech, causing our entire cave to collapse. Son, this way. She led me through a tunnel and we ran as fast as we could. On day two, my mother and I were running for our lives while the cave was collapsing by the second. Lava spilled through the cracks and netherite spikes were bursting from the ground. God, no. Bozo, you’re not going to make it unless. My mom turned toward me and launched a blast of shimmering diamond into my chest. My whole body lit up as her power surged through my scales. I gained five more hearts and I could feel a new power inside me. Mom, what are you doing? Suddenly, more spikes exploded through the floor, separating us. Son, I always knew there was something special in you. Please use this power and save us. I believe in you. Before I could say anything, Netherite chains burst from the ground and pulled her under. No. From my anger, I let out a new diamond burst, opening a way out. With this opening, I was able to make it out just in time. No. My mom. How am I supposed to save them? What the? A two-headed snake? Oh, please. You got to help me. What the What are you talking about? Suddenly, armored warriors dropped in from the trees, completely surrounding us. There’s the rodent. Capture him for the main event. They charged in, ready to capture him. Stay back. Out of instinct, I pushed in. But this time, I shot out a diamond blast, launching a few of them back. Whoa, did I just do that? A hydra? Well, this will make things much more interesting. A massive cage car rolled forward, spewing thick glowing gas towards us. In a matter of seconds, I passed out. On day three, I woke up to the sound of cheering. I was in a giant arena surrounded by a crowd of villagers. Yes, I’m so excited. We feed the arena’s greatest beast with two fresh meals. Who’s ready for a show? Oh no, a cage opened up in front of us and bursting through was a massive lion beast. Run. It charged straight at us, smashing through anything in its path. Wa! We got to find a way out of here. I spotted a set of iron doors across the arena and aimed my diamond blast, but it barely did a thing. No, my powers aren’t strong enough. Just kill them already. I want to see blood. Watch out. I turned just in time to see the lion was barreling towards the mouse, heading my way. Wa! I dodged out of the way, causing it to slam into the cage, shattering it completely. All right, come on. We sprinted through the rubble and into the stands above. But just as we were about to escape, something caught my eye. Mounted on the wall amongst other dropped loot was a severed diamond hydra head. What is that? The lion burst in again and began charging towards me. I don’t know what this is, but I’m not leaving without it. On day four, I grabbed the diamond hydra head and instantly a surge of energy shot through me. I gained five more hearts, a third head, and was now able to breathe out pure diamond. Woah, I feel stronger. The lion beast roared and charged one last time, but I unleashed my breath, spraying a blast of shimmering diamond across the floor. The ground erupted with crystal blocks, trapping the beast completely. Yes, I did it. Boo. Boo. You were supposed to die. I hate you. As everyone started to boo, a massive bolt of lightning struck the center of the arena. Forget this. Everyone run. There. Now floating above the battlefield was a giant glowing hydra. I see the Diamond Queen Pal has passed to a new champion. Champion? Yes. and you’ve already found one of the six diamond heads. Collect them all and you will unlock your ultimate form. Only then will you stand a chance to save your kind and defeat the netherite threats your world faces. That’s it. That’s how I can save my mom. You saved my life. So, I’ll help you out. Sweet. We both looked over and saw the hydra had left behind a diamond map. Maybe it leads to another upgrade. I ran over to get it until a baby cyclops zipped in and took it. Got to go. Hey, get back here. On day five, I chased after the baby cyclops through the jungle. Stop. That’s my map. Take this. Suddenly, the cyclops whistled and from the treeine emerged more of his brothers and sisters. They immediately began throwing rocks and dirt right at me. No one messes with our brother and gets away with it. Mess with him? He stole from me. I felt my anger build. My chest burnt, causing a blast of diamond to explode out of me. What kind of freak are you? He quickly snuck off and as I followed behind, I entered their campsite area. I was about to take all of them down until I saw the place looked like a wreck. Everything was destroyed. What happened here? A few days ago, our mama was taken. We don’t know by who. We just saw these two big scary wigs. Since then, we’ve been scavenging to survive. I’m sorry. My family was taken, too. How about a deal? If I find your mom, can I have that map? On day six, the cyclopses and I made a deal. I followed the trail to find Mama until arriving at a dark, scorched valley. And at its center was a massive nether camp. It was crawling with netherite griffins everywhere and other lava forged beasts. The griffins, if their mamas anywhere, it’s here. I carefully began to sneak through the camp, avoiding every griffin in sight. The plan is working perfectly. Once the day of burning arrives, everything will belong to the Nether. Day of burning? What is that? Just then, I looked over and saw a few of my diamond hydra people were stuck in a cage. my people. How are you still alive? That’s not important. I’m getting you out of here. No, you’re going to get yourself killed. I saw a lever and used my diamond powers to hit it. This caused their cages to slam open. However, alarms began to sound off all around. Great job, genius. Oh, we got to get out of here. I’m not leaving without Mama. Without who? We sprinted down the corridor, dodging fireballs and crumbling debris all around. But just as we reached the exit, a massive towering figure blocked our path. He had molten armor and a huge netherite battle axe. It was a minotaur. Oh no, we’re done for. Look what we have here. The netherite griffin has great plans for this world, and I was promised a front seat. He raised his axe and slammed it towards us, but I threw up a wall of diamond just in time. Wa! You want a front seat? You’re not getting it. I charge in towards him. His strength was insane and every strike shook the entire area. My people are counting on me. I can’t lose. I dodged one more attack and had an idea. He swung again, but I jumped out of the way in the last second. Take this. I launched a focused diamond blast straight into his chest, sending him flying into a pillar. Wa! You just saved our lives. Thank you. We all made our way out, but as we were, we came across a large chained pit in the camp. Inside, surrounded by lava spikes, was the Cyclops’s mother. Mama. I ran forward and blasted my powers at her chains, breaking her free. What’s going on? Who are you? Don’t worry, you’re going home. On day eight, we returned to the Cyclops’s forest home. And the moment their mama walked in, the kids rushed up to her. You actually did it. You found her. I told you I would. Now, a deal’s a deal. I followed the Cyclopses and they brought me to another hydrahead. What the? Yeah, we followed the map and found this. Thought you’d want it. Sweet. I walked over and collected it. Another surge of energy filled within me. My body pulsed, causing me to gain five more hearts and a brand new ability to slash pure diamonds through the air. Wa! I see you looking for the diamond hydra heads. Yeah, I am. Anything to save my family. It’s not just your family in danger. Netherite gripping back. He plans to scorch the entire world into flames. Nothing will be left. That must be the day of the burning. No, I can’t let that happen. Suddenly, storm clouds rolled in and a bolt of lightning struck the earth in front of us. Standing in the middle of the blast was Zeus. So, this is the creature going against the netherite griffin. Yeah. What’s it matter to you? I am Zeus and you are meddling with forces you do not understand. He raised his hands causing lightning to storm all around me. Wait. But with one more boom, I was teleported away. On days 9 to 10, I opened my eyes to see that I was teleported to the top of Mount Olympus. In front of me stood the three most powerful gods in the world. Listen closely, Hydra. Olympus has shown us that you are the key to stopping the Netherite Griffins. But we have not seen anything from you that proves you are worthy of the Diamond Power. If you do, we shall help you in your quest to grow stronger. With no other choice, I agree. As Zeus led me over to the first trial. This is the trial of the heavens. Make it to the golden archway or die trying. Begin. A loud gong sounded off as I began to leap between the cloud like platforms. This isn’t so bad. But just then, a powerful gust of wind came out of nowhere, nearly sending me flying to my death below. I spoke too soon. I tried to carefully plan my jumps, but the high winds and flashes of lightning were making things very difficult. Thankfully though, I was just about to reach the finish when suddenly the clouds started to dissipate in front of me. I jumped as fast as I could onto the last few platforms, but the last one completely disappeared. No. On days 11 to 12, I was about to fall to my death. But thankfully, I shot out a diamond platform to catch myself. Thank goodness. With that, I was able to cross a finish, completing the trial of the heavens. Act Joe Hydra. Next is my trial. Trial of the sea. Without warning, the platform below me disappeared, causing me to fall. Wait, no. I landed in the middle of the ocean. And before I could even think, I felt something in the water below me as a large shark leapt up and bit into me. Better hurry, shark bait. You don’t have long before they smell the blood in the water. I frantically looked around until I noticed a lone island in the distance. I’ll be safe there. Swimming as fast as I could, I made a break for the island as more and more sharks began to swim after me. They were relentless and much faster in the water than me. That’s it. I blasted out my diamond breath, hitting them back and allowing myself to finally swim up to the island shore. H, I did it. My celebration was cut short though as waves of flames burst out from the center of the island, making it into a lavi wasteland. Welcome to your final trial, Beast. If you even think you have a chance at saving the world and your people, you must strike me. Just one hit and I will consider you a worthy investment. Seriously, you’re on. I rushed in to attack without hesitation, but as I shot out my abilities, he vanished. Huh, fool. He slashed into me from behind, sending me flying with just one attack. Monsters like you are just a burden in our world. Your kind and the griffins. No, my people are nothing like them. His words enraged me as I made a wall of diamond to block his vision. And as I dashed around it to attack, he vanished again. You thoughtless beast. The god slashed into me again, taking me down to extremely low hearts. All I could think about was my mom. She trusted me to save our people. Before Hades could unleash a final attack, I sent out a powerful burst of diamond unlike anything I had before. And thankfully, it hit. Well, I am truthfully surprised. You have surprised us all, Hydra. Olympus has not been mistaken in choosing you. Sweet. So, what now? Enter the Diamond Temple. Within you will find the next Hydra head you seek. Good luck, champion. On his command, another powerful bolt of lightning struck down onto me, teleporting me away in a flash of light. On days 15 to 16, the light faded to reveal that I was teleported in front of a large diamond temple. Time for my prize. I walked inside the open doors only to see something was terribly wrong. Netherite corruption was all throughout and the next hydra head was hanging over a growing pool of lava. The griffins must have done this. I have to stop it. With no time to lose, I rushed in to grab the head. But dark tendrils came bursting out of the ground, cutting me off. More lava began to flow throughout the chamber and was about to destroy the head. No. In my panic, I sent out my diamond breath, which hit the head. And because of this, it began to shoot out its power as well. The head’s blast pushed back the corruption, buying me time to get it. That’s it. Hold on. I charge right through and shot out a diamond platform, finally giving me a spot to grab it. On day 17 to 18, I touched the diamond hydra head, causing me to upgrade. I gained five more hearts, grew another diamond head, and gained the strength of the gods. Awesome. Because of this, a wave of diamond power washed over the temple, which purified it of the Netherite’s corruption. I proudly walked out of the temple in my newly upgraded form, only to see my mouse friend running up to me. Oh, thank goodness. I found you. I was worried about what the gods were going to do to you. Don’t worry. They’re rooting for us now. Wait. Well, come on. Me and the Cyclops found something you want to see. I went with my friend as he led me over to a hidden swamp cove where I saw the cyclopses had begun to build us up a place to stay. This is perfect. With that, I worked together with the cyclopses to build up some statues like the ones in my old home. One for each diamond head I found. Only three more to go until I could save my family. Just then, we were interrupted by a human running into our base. Wait, you were running that arena. Oh, the diamond hydra. Please, you have to help me. And why would I do that? You tried to kill me. No, no, please. After you left, this crazy lady came in and started turning people into statues of pure diamond. Diamond? Okay, I’m interested. On days 19 to 21, I headed out and followed the human’s directions to a clearing, but no one was there. Did he trick me? I can’t believe. However, I got interrupted by another human running for their life through the clearing. Stay away from me, you freak. Suddenly, the human got cut off by a massive diamond gargoyle. He does not look friendly. No. No. Please don’t. Don’t worry, little man. You’ll make a beautiful addition to my castle. Huh? I turned to see an imitating Medusa slither out of the treeine towards him. Now, just hold still. She shot out a diamond blast at him, causing him to turn completely into a statue. Ha! This diamond hydra head works like a charm. Bring him to the castle with the others. No way. She does have the next hydra head. I need to be careful. I do not want to be turned into a statue. With that, I quietly followed her and her gargoyle minion to an ancient castle. But the moment they walked across the bridge, it raised up behind me. I guess I have to find another way in. I looked around until I saw a pipe entrance far below. All right, here goes nothing. On days 22 to 26, I made my way inside the pipe and began to sneak inside the castle from below. Ah, who knew gargoyles needed a sewer system? Gross. Just then, I heard a voice echo down the pipe. Keep watch my guardians. It’s time for me to get some beauty sleep. All right, now my chance to steal the head. I ran around the corner only to see the exit of the pipe was far above me. Quickly, I began to jump up the pipeline using the old pipes and sewage as platforms. But just when I was about to make it up, one of them broke under my weight. Unfortunately, this caused them to take notice and look down towards me. Uh, hi. You betrayed. They began to throw down rocks at me from above. I was trying my best to dodge their attacks, but one of them hit the pipes above me, taking out the platform I needed to get back up. With no way forward, they continued to bombard me. However, they all stopped when I heard a loud voice shout out on the surface. Medusa, give it back. What the? Who’s that? Defend Queen Cl. The gargoyles quickly ran off, giving me the chance to make a platform and jump up into the castle. And as I did, I saw the Netherite Minotaur was now here, fighting his way inside. Fire will not rest until I bring him that Hydra head. On days 27 to 29, I watched as multiple gargoyles fought to contain the Minotaur as he was fighting back. I need to find the head before he does. As I said this, Medusa came charging in from deeper in the castle. What is the meaning of this? Firewing and I had a deal. Not anymore. Now hand it over. They began to fight as I noticed that Medusa wasn’t using the same diamond attacks from before. She must have hid the head. Now’s my chance. I quickly snuck my way past them and headed to the next room into the castle. There, I saw a massive throne room with the head laying on the throne. Bingo. Before I could run towards it though, multiple diamond gargoyles came crashing down in front of me. No one catch Queen’s treasure. They rushed in and began to try and slash me back with their massive claws. Two can play at that game. I fired back at them with my diamond slashes, but noticed that my abilities had no effect on them. Oh, right. You guys are diamonds. The gargoyles didn’t hold back and continued to chase after me around the room. That’s when I noticed the floor on the old castle was cracked. I have an idea. I ran over to it and waited for the perfect moment. And as they rushed in to take me down, I used my new godlike strength to stomp into the floor, causing it to fall below them. Yes, time to get out of here. On days 30 to 32, I picked up the fourth diamond hydra head, causing its power to wash over me. I upgraded into a more powerful diamond hydra with five more hearts and stronger diamondplated scales. Sweet. But just as I was about to leave, Medusa came flying into the room. Yeah, I should have never trusted Firewing. I guess I’ll tell him you said that. With that, the Minotaur took down Medusa with the powerful lavi attack. All right, time to What are you doing here? How did you He was suddenly cut off as the old castle began to fall apart because of all the fighting. Oh no, we got to get out of here. We made a break for it. Running back through the castle as rubble fell down all around us. Watch out. Wa. Uh, thanks. Just shut up and keep moving. We were now approaching the exit where I saw that the drawbridge was still raised. So, I shot out an attack in the chains, but nothing was working. Stupid Hydra, stand back. He rushed forward and broke the chains with his fire, but a Netherite Griffin came flying in out of nowhere and hit him back. You traitor, you’re helping the enemy. On days 33 to 35, I had a clear path across the bridge. But what are you doing? You’ll kill us both. Griffin didn’t hesitate, though, and pushed him further from it. Firewing will never allow this. I’ll die before I let you help the Hydra. No, I have to do something. I shot out a blast into the back of the Griffin, making him focus on me. He was about to rebuttal, but this distraction allowed the Minotaur to slam into him, taking him down. With that, we were both able to dash across the bridge and safely make it out. Why? Why did you help me? What? You saved me first. Look, I can tell there’s some good in you. I don’t know why you work for Firewing, but can’t you see? He doesn’t care if you live or die. No. This world left us trapped in the Nether. You are the enemy. I was made to destroy. But just before he could rush in to attack, the bridge gave out from under him, sending him falling far below. I wish I could show him just how wrong he is. I headed off on the long journey back to my base when I saw someone in the water watching me. Ow! Ow! Huh? Hey, who’s there? I stepped closer, but didn’t see him anymore. Weird. Whatever. Just as I turned around though, I felt something poke me from behind. Ah, a poison dart. The poison quickly began to make me feel weak as I passed out. On days 36 to 39, I woke up and found myself trapped in a net. Hey, what gives? Wa! Wa! It’s awake. One of the fish people tried to swim up to me, but I sent out a burst of diamond, knocking them back and breaking out of the net. I’m getting out of here. More of them tried to get in my way, but I just stomped right through them until I heard a voice call out. Wait, Diamond Hydra, we need your help. Huh? I looked over to see that in the middle of the bay was the very weak fish king. You see, our king is sick, and we need your help saving him. I’m sorry. I wish I could help, but I have my own people I’m trying to save right now. But just as I turned to walk away, you’re looking to save them with this, aren’t you? Their king then revealed that he had the fifth diamond hydrahead. We’ll only give it up if you save our king. You got it? Okay. Okay. What do you need me to do? With that, one of them led me over to the coast to a thick jungle entrance with a massive walls all around. It’s said that an evil unicorn lives at the heart of this maze. If you can find it and bring back its horn, it’ll heal our king for good. An evil unicorn? Does that even exist? Hey, do you want the hydrahead or not? Get a move on. Confused, I started to make my way inside, trying to find the best route to the center when I saw someone running away ahead of me. Hey, but when I rounded the corner, he was gone. What the hydra? I spun around to see that a group of jungle saters had surrounded me. Leave here at once. On days 40 to 44, the saters charged into attack. They blasted me with their powerful nature magic, trying to trap me in a dead end. Oh no, you don’t. I hit them back with my god-like strength and went charging back through the maze. Don’t let them reach the center. They were hot on my tail and shot out everything they could to slow me down. One of them even hit the maze walls with their power, causing it to move. Whoa, you got to be kidding me. I was able to leap and dodge around the moving roots. But because of this, the saters started to catch up. With no other choice, I spun around to try and hit them back, but the ground below me began to rise up. Huh? A sader then fired off another blast from below, sending me flying over the maze wall. What are you doing here? I looked at my new surroundings and saw that I was blasted right to the center where the powerful looking unicorn stood up high. There you are. Give up your horn. What? Men, take out this plague in our jungle. The sader rush in again, but this time I shot out my diamond breath all around me, pushing them back. Take that. I see. All right, Hydra. I’ll deal with you myself. On days 45 to 47, the unicorn began to blast down at me with powerful beams of light. Each hit would burn away at my hearts and nearly blind me. I fought back with my abilities, cutting away at the platform it was on, forcing it to jump to my level. Stay away from our home. She charged in and pierced me with her horn, knocking me down to low hearts. Those fish people said you were evil. What? The fish put you up to this? The unicorn stopped attacking in her confusion. So I used the opening to blast into her with everything I had. Give up your horn. But just before I could land a finishing blow, more saters ran up and cut me off. Wait, wait. What did those fish people tell you? They said you were evil and they needed your horn to save their king. Those wretched fish are the ones who are evil. They tricked you. Their king isn’t sick. He just wanted to use my horn to live forever. Is that right? Prove it. The unicorn led me over to another exit to the maze where I saw the sader’s original homes were completely in ruined. The fish did this. Correct. They will do anything to kill me for their own personal gain. They were just using you. But I don’t know what to do. I have to get that hydrahead from them. Oh. Uh, we can help you with that. On days 48 to 52, after making a plan with the saters, I made my way back to the fish’s bay. And there I saw their king looked as healthy as ever. Oh, Hydra, have you slain the evil beast for us? You know, I almost did. And then they show me you guys were lying to me. Charge. The saders came charging out of hiding and began to blast into the fish people with their magic. The jig is up to the sea. They all tried to flee, but thankfully the saters expected this and summoned a wall of earth to block off the water in the bay. You’re not getting away this time. One by one, I watched as the saders captured them in cages of wood until the king had enough. The murlocs are not cowards. We will fight. They started to fight back against the saders using powerful blasts of water to take them down. No. I rushed in and began to push them back with my abilities, trying to save as many of the saters as I could, but that’s when I noticed that the murloc king was sneaking away with the diamond hydra head. So long, suckers. I can’t let him get away. Forget about these guys. We can handle it from here. Go. On days 53 to 56, I jumped into the water after the murloc king. He was faster in it though and was easily getting away. But then he started to swim deep underwater. Where are you going? Suddenly something slashed me from behind as the king snuck up on me. You should have just played along, Hydra. Now I’ll make sure you pay for betraying us. He then began to attack me from all different angles, using his mastery of the water to overpower me. Ah, I thought I was done for until I felt my feet touch the ground underwater. In a bright flash of light, the Merurloc king and I were now standing on a platform of vines. I think it’s time we end this deceiver once and for all. Couldn’t have said it better myself. We began to fight together now using my diamond and his light abilities to blast into the Murloc king. And whenever I was hit back down to low hearts, the unicorn healed me back to full. Thanks. You blabbering beast. I am a king. I am. But the unicorn shot out our most powerful attacks, hitting him headon and taking him down for good. And there, where he once stood, was the fifth diamond hydra head. On days 57 to 59, I picked up the next hydra head, causing its power to grow within me. As I upgraded, I gained five more hearts, a fifth hydra head, and even more powerful diamond abilities. What will you do now, Hydra? Well, I needed this to get stronger and stop the Netherite griffins. They have my people. Then you can count on me and the saders as your allies. We will fight with you. With that, the Unicorn and her forces became a part of my team. So, I led them all the way back to my base. With that, I got to work building up the Unicorns and the Saders their very own jungle home in our home. Then, I made sure to take some time building up two more hydraheads as well. Just hold on everyone. I’m almost strong enough to stop them. As I said this though, I saw the baby cyclops and their mother came running up to me. Dear Hydra, while you were gone, I remembered something during my captivity. The Griffins were talking about sealing away the last Hydrahead with the Warden of the Nether. Well, then I guess I know where I have to go. I headed out back to my original swamp home where all the griffins had attacked all those days ago. And thankfully, they still had their massive Nether portals all around. Here goes nothing. On day 60 to 63, I appeared on the other side of the portal in the middle of the Griffin’s Netherite Outpost. Oh no, I have to hide. Wait, is that Keep it moving. All right. All right. These griffins are monsters. Focus. You have to find where they’re keeping the hydrahead. I slowly began to search around the outpost, staying out of sight until I came across two griffins talking in front of a key. The day of burning is almost upon us. You think Firewing is going to let the warden off his leash for it? Oh, I’d love to see the terror heat cause. The boss will have to come get this key if he wants to get anywhere near this prison, though. That warden is who the Cyclops was talking about. I got to get them away from that key. I looked around until I saw a weak part of the wall. And with my newly upgraded form, I was able to unleash a pulse of diamond energy, shattering it instantly. What was that? The two guards rushed out to investigate, giving me the opportunity to run up and grab the key. I then started to hear the griffins come back, though, and had nowhere to run. Out of pure panic, I blasted open the nearest wall and jumped out, only to see that I had jumped right towards a lava lake. On day 64 to 68, I was falling to my death when I was suddenly hit to the side by a diamond blast. Huh? Go, my son. I looked over and saw that my mother had hit me to the side. What the? That’s the champion. Get him. They quickly took her away as two of the griffins flew up into the air to chase after me. No, mom. I had no other choice but to make a break for it, dashing across the Nether and trying to avoid the pits of lava. But the griffins knew this place and were starting to shoot down deadly blasts above me. There was nowhere to take cover, and they were about to close in when I had an idea. Take this. I shot out at the ceiling above them, causing one of them to be knocked down by the rubble. He blasted towards me, making me drop the key. Ha! You thought you’d get away. Your kind will always be inferior to the Griffins. “No, I’m done running.” I charged in and began to barrage him with all of my abilities. Each hit pushed him back as my rage empowered every attack. “Wait, no! How are you this strong?” He tried to blast me again, but I let out another diamond pulse, taking down one of the griffins for the first time. Woah, I guess I really have gotten stronger. With him defeated, I picked up the key and made my way deeper into the Nether until I came across a massive prison in the lava. This looks like the place. On day 69 to 73, I used the key to open the doors of the Nether prison. Now, where is that hydrahead? As I said this though, I heard a loud howl echo deep from within. Who dares enter my prison? The entire prison reacted to the howl as vents opened up, allowing lava to pour in. Okay, not abandoned. I raced down the hallway, but before I could reach the end, the entire ceiling opened up, causing me to be cut off. No. How foolish can you be, Hydra? I turned to see the Netherite Minotaur from before. What happened to you? Why are you in here? You were right. Firewearing only cares about the destruction of the overworld. Once I came back to the Nether empty-handed, he sentenced me to die here. I’m a failure. No, don’t let firing decide what you are. I slashed out and freed the Minotaur from his cell. If I let him decide my fate, then me and my people would just be food for his army. And I’m not letting that happen. I understand now. Let’s decide our own fate. He ran up and slashed out with his ax, which gave us an opening. We walked out into the next room where I saw a large central chamber. And there, turning to face us, was the prison warden, a giant Cberus. You come to my prison and free one of my prisoners. Where’s that diamond Hydra head? Why would I tell you that when you are not leaving this room alive, Hydra? On day 74 to 77, Cberus charged in, shaking the entire room with every step. Find the hydra head. I’ll hold him off. They began to fight as I ran around the room to look for any sign of the head. Cberus was extremely powerful, though, and each of his attacks shot out deadly lava everywhere across the room. I won’t be slain by a weak traitor like you. Thankfully though, with the minotaur distracting him, I was able to find a spot on the back wall with the multiple levers connecting to the prison. Which one do I flip? I don’t know. Try them all. I did as he said and began to flip all the levers at once. One lever caused all the cells to open, releasing more prisoners. Yes, I’m free. Another caused part of the floor to fall away, revealing a deadly pit trap. No, seriously. Sorry, but the last one I flipped caused the center of the floor to open up, revealing the last diamond hydra head. I ran towards it, but I can now see that my friend was getting overpowered by the Cberus. Any last words, weakling, stay away from him. I finally joined the fight, blasting into him with everything I had. My defeat is not the end. You will never stop firing. He shot out a final attack right past us and hit the head. No. Thankfully though, I blasted him back, taking him down for good. Oh no, bo. I looked back towards the head and saw that his attack had corrupted it. On day 78 to 80, I ran up to the head, but because of the corruption, it was losing all of its power. No. No. What do I do? Is there nothing we can do? Just then, I felt a familiar presence as the diamond hydra spear from before appeared from above. Champion, we don’t have much time. But the last head, it’s corrupted. Can you fix it? Here, I can do nothing. Back in the overworld, we may have a chance. Here, I can help. The Minotaur walked over and summoned a new Nether portal to take us back home. Sweet. We walked through and the moment I was back in the overworld, I felt something pulling me to a nearby cave. The spirit must be leading me there. Come on. I led us over and down a strange tunnel into a hidden spring filled with diamond crystals. Wo! Place the head on the center crystal and I’ll do what I can. I did as they said and placed it down. But when I did, something began to happen to the crystals around me. This corruption looks unlike any other. I need your help. What? What do I do there? I looked to where he pointed and saw three of the large crystals had started to turn dark with netherite corruption. I’ll try. I blasted out my diamond powers which struck the first crystal and began to fill it with light. Yes, now the others. Hooray. On days 81 to 85, I tried to run close to the next corrupted crystal, but a sudden burst of tentacles cut me off. Ah, no. I was trying to fight them back, but every second I wasted, the spring was being corrupted more and more. Hold on. He ran up and began to slash away at the tendrils, carving a path. No. I blasted the second crystal, purifying it completely. This is it. Come on. The two of us rushed forward, slashing and pushing through more tendrils as fast as we could when the last crystal burst out in flames. I was brought down to low hearts. But that wasn’t going to stop me because in one final diamond pulse, I struck the last crystal and overpowered the corruption with everything I had left. This purified the entire spring and the six diamond hydra head. Yes, we did it. I knew you would be my champion. Now take it and become the strongest creature this world has ever seen. With that, I grabbed the last hydra head, causing all my power to surge once again. I now had 40 hearts, and the hydra spirit itself empowered me, turning me into the strongest hydra in the world. Awesome. On days 86 to 90, the minotaur and I headed back up to the surface. However, right as we did, we saw the sky had turned a horrifying fiery red. No, it can’t be. Just then, netherite griffins came flying by in the air, shooting out flames as they went. The day of burning is upon us. We have to follow them. The Minotaur agreed as we rushed after the griffin, who led us to a burning village. The entire place was covered in flames as the Netherite griffins easily swooped down and destroyed whole buildings in one pass. And there in the center of it all was the one and only Firewing. Burn it. Burn it all to the ground. This world will feel my wrath for locking me away. No man, god or beast can stop me. All the villagers tried to run off in the chaos, but Firewing easily took them all down with his deadly flames. No, he’s even stronger. The day of burning was always his master plan. A day when nothing could put out his fire. A day that would burn this world to ash and make him its ruler. Time to refuel back to the Nether. We have some more hydras to feast upon. All of his men roared out before flying back through a Nether portal. No, they’re going to eat my people. I went in to rush after them, but the Minotaur stopped me. What are you doing? Listen to me. You may be stronger now, but so is he. Going in now would be pointless against his entire army of griffins. We need more allies. You’re right. Come on. I have an idea. On days 91 to 94, we hurried back to my base to meet up with all of my allies. While my friends were gathering together, I built up the last hydra statue in the base, reminding me of the home I was fighting for. I’m coming, everyone. And mom, just hold on a little longer. We’re ready, Foso. What’s the plan? Are we going to make it, Hydra? I’m scared. I know, but please, we can do this. With the help of everyone here and the power of the Diamond Hydra, we can stop Firewing and save not only my people, but this world, too. This is our home, and I’m not going to let him destroy it anymore. Yeah, let’s show that overgrown bird who he’s messing with. All right, then. It’s time. I nodded towards the Minotaur as he opened up another portal within our base. Time to end this. On days 95 to 99, my friend and I charged through the portal and came out right into the griffin’s netherite base. All around us were the cages full of my people. And my mother was being forced in front of Firewing. Don’t touch her. Ah, the lone hydra. You really think some weak creatures like those can stop us? Burn them all. On his command, the Griffin army came flying into attack, but the Minotaur and I started to slash them down out of the air. Stay down. Once they were on the ground, the saters and cyclopses would rush up and overpower them with all their numbers. Never threaten a mother and her children. With that, the Griffin started to spread out, giving me an opening to run towards Firewing. Mom, my boy. I went to run towards her, but he blasted out his overpowering flames, blasting me back. How sweet. You fought all the way here just to watch her die. He charged up another attack and was about to take down my mother for good, but I was ready and shot out a pulse riot at his head. With the opening, the Minotaur rushed up and pushed him into the portal. Mom. Oh, my son. I’m so proud of you. You became even more of a champion than I could ever imagine. I did it all for you. But now I have to finish this or all of us hydras will never be safe. I know. Go get him, champion. While the rest of my team fought to free my people, I jumped through the portal after Firewing. On day 100, I was back in the overworld face to face with Firewing. You fool. You never stood a chance against me. And on this day, above all others, I am invincible. He flew in and began to shoot out his deadly flames all over the area. Clearly, he was much stronger than anything I’d ever faced, but I wasn’t afraid anymore and was fighting with everything I had. with his wings. He was incredibly fast and he used his speed to avoid my attacks. I knew that I had to force into the ground. So, I focused on my brand new ability, a diamond tornado. What is this power? This thankfully pulled him down, allowing me to run up and slash into him. No. No. He then burst me with flames and brought me down to low hearts. I won’t let you do this. You ignorant beast. This is how the world works. The strong rule over the weak, and nothing is stronger than me. In his rage, he swooped in again, but this time, I summoned a wall of diamond to block his attack. He slammed right into the wall. However, it slowed him down for me to unleash a final attack. I let out everything I could, which took him down for good. Yes. And with the leader of the Netherite Griffins defeated, the entire world could now live in peace.
Today I had to survive 100 days in Minecraft as a Diamond Hydra! I had to go throughout the world and collect the diamond hydra heads to reach my full potential! Will I be strong enough to stop the all powerful Firewing? Make sure you watch until the end to see what happens!
