I Tried TERRARIA for the FIRST TIME in 2025… It DIDN’T GO WELL!
TERRARIA in 2025… and I went in COMPLETELY BLIND. No guides, no tips, just me vs. slimes, zombies, and some VERY angry eyes… Today, I’m going to be surviving (barely) and figuring out why this game is a 10/10 masterpiece. Will I beat my first boss? Tips: no night skipping is really practically achievable for you rn. As a game thing. Also, for the purposes of NPC housing, you need door (the platforms count, so you can make a hotel to keep it simple), the walls and light, a table (crafting bench counts), and a chair oddly enough

Nice to see you trying this out! Terraria is one of those games that's better experienced with some knowledge, whether it's from someone who's willing to join and not spoil things too much, or by glancing at the games wiki every now and then.
As for a house, the basics for any friendly npc you want to move in are walls, light, a door, a table/workbench, and a chair. Good luck on your adventure!

Dear butter, don't be afraid to take it slow, look up stuff, and learn that way, terraria and minecraft actually really like one another, some of the intro quotes for both tell you to try both games, and only play calamity with a friend if you can, it's more fun plus easier with someone
press ctrl to swap mining modes- makes it easier to mine in one specific direction. Fun content tho i love terraria
