here are the absolute worst crops in Stardew Valley first up blue jazz and tulips these flowers might look nice but they have a horrible profit margin netting you between 1 to 2 G per day then there are six different possible variations to harvest with different qualities meaning each one takes up an extra slot in your inventory it’s so annoying next up it’s comb i love corn corn can grow across multiple seasons and you only have to plant it once so it seems useful right nope think again corn has a terrible profit margin and it takes quite a while to grow but let’s give it some credit if you missed out on using your golden parnip for the quality crop bundle this is an absolute lifesaver in fall and summer and if you thought blue jazz and tulips were bad poppies are even worse poppies are a universally hated gift for every NPC except for penny they have the same annoying inventory issue as all the other flowers they’re only used in one terrible cooking recipe and they’re not even worth any real money but finally the worst crop in all of Sardu Valley is sunflowers yeah don’t buy flowers in Stardew Valley guys you can buy seeds for 200 G at Pierre or 125 at Jojima but sunflowers only sell for 80g each meaning you actually lose money every time you harvest one about 1 to 2 G per day well at least Haley loves them and who could put a price on that thank me later

Your complaints are valid but I still think the flowers have some value, like they are good for making flavored honey, and jas likes jas, and the fairy roses are so pretty I love the sunflowers

Hey sunflowers drop seeds when harvested, and those seeds can be turned into oil for 100g.
As well as the sunflowers themselves turned into seeds and then oil. It's not great but it has far more uses then tulips and poppies and such
I usually only buy flowers to put next to bee hives for the flavored honey. Surprisingly worth it, if you know which type sells the best.

Personally I just got a small crop of sunflowers cause theyre pretty and then they kept dropping seeds, so there, infinite sunflowers to make your farm cute❤

sunflowers are really easy to get more seeds. you won't be losing money after you plant more from extra seeds
I completely disagree on some. Blue jazz is important for fairy dust when I don’t want to wait for kegs or if I want to finish something fast for the raccoons. Poppyseed muffins are an easy gift and food to eat that won’t affect the food buffs you already have, especially when you don’t want to waste a pink cake on that one hit of health you took. Both sunflowers and corn are op with making oil. Don’t sell them on their own if you don’t have pigs to make truffle oil use those instead. Tulips are useless though except for granny. 🎉
Fairy rose honey is pretty nice. Also pretty flowers are pretty.

If you aren't processing crops, you're missing out anyway. Corn makes tortillas, sunflowers make oil, and all those annoying flowers are essential for honey.

The real draw for flowers is making honey- additionally, sunflowers always drop seeds when harvested, meaning they technically have an infinite profit margin.
sun flowers give sunflower seeds so for me personally they are great you can basicly grow em infinitely so they actually make great money for just 200 a piece but thats my perspective

corn is quite useful for oil and tortillas. It's really not bad and it lasts two seasons.
Sunflowers give you seeds back, at about 95%, so you buy the initial seeds, and a few extra, and then never have to buy seeds for them again. And they take only three slots, instead of 18, since they have no color varieties.
Actually, sunflowers are awesome! They make great stackable gifts (again, three slots, maximum). You need one for the community center, and a gold-star sunflower gives you top points at the fair.

As for tulips and jazz, I grow them for food. Evelyn loves tulips, so I keep a few for her, but honestly, that first spring, when food is scarce and I'm watering all morning, and having nothing left for the mines, tulips are a GREAT source of energy, for only 20g. Jazz are an ingredient in lucky lunch, so grow a few, and stash them in your fridge.
This is why the mixed flower seeds were introduced, so people can actually plant flowers without going into debt.
You can use flowers to double the cost of honey. Just plant 1 flower with however many hives, and you can get a good amount of money.
Sunflowers produce seeds every harvest so you're only losing the initial harvest while poppies can at least give you the second highest selling honey in the game
Blue Jazz is the best flower for bees in spring.
Summer Spangle are best in summer (but you can plant sunflowers at the end of the season because they’ll last into fall while your fairy roses grow)
