what if dying in Minecraft was actually fun the first time you die in the world you get asked if you want to become a demon or not if you choose yes you enter a soul state and can fly around or fade through walls now you can possess mobs that have no soul so you can’t possess mobs like animals or villagers if you choose a zombie or skeleton you burn in the sun you would have to eat raw meat or bones to regenerate if you’re something like a stray shooting mobs would give them the slowness effect and if you choose an iron golem you would have way more health but no inventory to be a human again you would cure yourself with a potion of weakness and a golden apple just how you cure zombie villagers but this doesn’t last since if he died again you would return to your soul state and will have to possess another mob

  1. had an idea and it hit me
    it's a game gimmick

    basically a coop game with two players
    one being a normal person with guns and so on
    the other being a ghost that possesses people

  2. That doesn't sound fun, I don't want to go in a whole side-quest before I can res, that just makes it more likely my stuff will de-spawn before I get back to it.

  3. But are they all the same? If they were different, you could argue fairness – put them all in a bag and pick out however many you need to roll. Could also be good for DMs who want to have subtle curses/blessings for their players, by changing the favouring of the dice
