I got this achievement last night and have a full proof way of getting this achievement in less then 1hr. I have been seeing lots of posts about people struggling with this so I thought I’d write a guide for anyone struggling. Hope this helps
Requires:
Pickaxe axe
Climatizer
Green solution 1000+ or 800 if you have the slime queen armour set (chance to not use ammo)
7+ mining potions
Wings or any flying equipment
Optional: ufo mount, bundle of balloons
Step 1:start a new “small world”
Step 2: fly left or right to find eater of worlds and find the edges
Step3: dig a hell hole (you only need to go down just past half way down the map) on each side of the crimson/corruption
Step 4: at the half way point connect your 2 holes by digging across
Step 5: go to the surface and while “fully zoomed out” shoot your climatizer across the crimson/corruption to see how far the shot goes then did a hole at the ending.
🚨 important note: dig just before where the shot ends 2 blocks so you absolutely won’t miss anything
Step 6: replete this process till you cover the infected area(as seen in the shared photos)
Step 7: fall down the holes shooting your climatizer to cleanse the crimson/corruption
Step 8 talk to star and she will say 6% 🚨save and quit🚨 reload the game and talk to her again.
If the achievement dose not proc do another lap of of spraying it’s best to be patient when spraying the first time. Save and quit till achievement procs
Side notes
– you don’t need to be on hard mode to do this, so keep the hallow off the map( hence why I say start a new world)
-green solution only blue solution adds hallow, if steam punk isn’t selling green you need to move her to a non infected area/home for it to be available
-this is time sensitive so make sure it’s on a new world and you work right away, iRL time is against you
-Martian mount is best for the falling spray as you can start and stop or fall slow while spraying to insure a solid coat
-save and quiting updates your cleansing progress
