in this video we check out an updated version of one of the terrarium mods that changes everything i’m talking about all new terrain and dungeons let’s hop in game and check it out hey yo everyone we are here checking out the remnants mod which is easily one of the most gamechanging terrarial mods because just take a look ready boom oh my god it’s been a minute since we checked it out last time and I love revisiting and checking out the mod because it changes so much every time like look at the beehive the beehives are just normal giant beehives now if you remember it used to be like a bee kingdom so many things change every time with this mod so it’s always nice to revisit and check out what’s popping let’s get to it though off rip you can see oh my god living wood tree singular which I think I like this better than multiple living wood trees but look how big this tree is at spawn let’s see the upper area look even the upper area has got a couple little spots that you can hang in you know you could really build a treehouse and then we come down here as you can see there is a whole underground area look at that and I love the background in this mod they have a lot of little like cool looking backgrounds dynamic backgrounds whatever you want to call them we can see like the roots in the background they look a little scary i’m not going to lie but the music even changes when you come down here hold up custom enemy who is that resin slime what the heck they got centipedes and stuff they got new enemies I ain’t never seen hold up this music feeling mystical but what’s popping down here do you guys think I can find a finch staff down here or is that still impossible let’s see okay not a good start oh let’s do at least two more chests see if I find a finch staff if I can’t find one that just means that you know summoner really is rigged to be the hardest class yeah I’m not seeing one but yeah that’s the living tree it goes pretty deep as you can see one more chest yep nothing it goes pretty deep some of the roots might lead to actual caves and stuff speak about actual caves look at this we got this part the little mine shaft you know Terraria usually has like little tiny mine shafts minecart tracks all that but this one is a actual fairly sized big one not unlike the orchid mod size but look at this we enter and it legitimately looks like a mine shaft not like a little box underground this is bound to hopefully lead to a bunch of ores and loot other stuff another cool thing that if you guys don’t remember haven’t seen this mod before they actually have bats that hang from the ceiling and then they activate when you get close to them which is a nice little detail there’s a couple things like that in this mod we can also see they got a little spike trap pit what the heck this is new i ain’t seen this before oh that penetrated me hey yo but yeah that that’s cool new traps and stuff i want to see more of the bats but there’s like none down here another cool thing is the minecart tracks that they have they legit connect to each other or I wouldn’t say connect to each other but they got a nice little straight line little straight path oh there’s another bat that just spawned from the ceiling but this is pretty cool they’re all over the world too if you want to see them what else we got to go through things kind of quickly here cuz there’s a lot in this mod we got a cool little structure with the angel statues out here i am using the light and shadows mod you know make it look a little bit more pretty out here we got sky islands these sky islands are very interesting wo look there’s like little plants are spitting at us the heck how do you stop them i can’t hit this one do you got to go up and actually like hit them oh my god yeah good luck with that but this is sick these are like some sky ruins on some tears of the kingdom type [ __ ] and I mess heavy with tears of the kingdom little sky areas but this is crazy that you actually got to go up and hit these dudes has to be with a pickaxe too so these are straight up obstacle courses this would be a fun area to explore though once you get some decent movement you know just grappling around and stuff what kind of loot they got up here though that’s the real question they just got nice little areas this would be a fun place to set up a base for sure what else do they got though they got this little sky islands legitimate sky islands just like OG Terraria and look at that you know we got our goodies in here what else is in the sky we might as well do the whole sky while we’re up here giant clouds that you can also fish in so that’s very good and also on top of that they got this what is this this is stellar remnant what does this craft into stars stars look at that that’s another way to get your hands on stars okay again more sky islands this one’s a little bit taller in terms of the tower what other sky island features do we have though that looks like that’s it okay so we explore the sky pretty quickly nice nothing too crazy up here let’s keep it going let’s explore like the basics of the surface we want to see all the different terrain they got going on as you can see we got a corruption world but that’s not it there’s crimson down here too it’s kind of cool both in one world i always like the idea of that but the corruption is the one that’s on top for now which means we got this nice like jagged spike area and look at this this is so much more open to fight a boss like the Eater worlds so I mess with that heavy oh my god look how much space there is this is great i don’t have to fight in a little tiny like crevice and then we might as well check out the crimson since we’re checking out the corruption just way more space bro is it’s way better for uh fights any boss fights of course we still got the little sword shrines that exist a little bit cooler looking too old nail shout out the juice mod and hollow knight silkong suit question mark yeah look at this this might be my favorite biome it might be a little bit annoying to navigate well not really cuz look it’s got all the holes that cut through it but look at these we got some peaks bro peak mod peak biome we got some legit mountains in Terraria these This is so sick it’s just a cool idea cool looking we even got the clouds up here that reach up into the clouds what’s going on down here i don’t know there’s like these little pillars everywhere let’s keep it going though we got the entrance to the dungeon which obviously we’ll explore a little bit later but again this is just so much room to fight something like the uh or skeleton let’s make it nighttime real quick go ahead and challenge my boy go ahead like look at this we got the whole surface up there we got this area we can build out a couple platforms but you know you don’t need to add too much to it to uh finally take on Skeletron any other beautiful surface structures let’s see we got the beach which has a lot more shells out here which I still barely use shells to extract in there we got a little island i mess with that having a little island i think it’d be cool if there was like an island out here and then it turned into like an oasis biome let’s check the other side of the map now the jungle the jungle is pretty cool because it reminds me of some like I want to say jagged peaks but like a biome i I don’t even know what biome is called i don’t even know what it’s called in the real world but like a watery biome with these giant like crags everywhere that’s what it reminds me of and it’s super cool i mess with this layout too just so much character with a mod like this makes the playthrough so much different i’ve done like one two playthroughs with this mod and they’ve been very very cool uh we we got the little desert now in the desert we got little pillars popping up i don’t even know what those do but then we got our pyramids baby we got our pyramids again we’ll dive deeper in well we can dive into it right now let’s do it right now we got the light from the likes of shadow mod peering into here and look at this oh my god so beautiful with this shadow wa damn trap off real so beautiful with the shadows and stuff and as you can see they’re a little bit more dangerous we got the little spike pits down here so we got to actually navigate around oh and another trap they’re getting me with these traps but look at this what do I break that pyramid key unlocks a pyramid chest ah okay i see you i see you a little pyramid chest question is where are they do I got to go down deeper to find them i don’t know where are they is that a chest right here no that’s just the the trap entrance i have no idea where the chests are they’re probably in there i might have just walked past one honestly but we got our normal oasis the oasis is pretty much the same but it’s cool that we get two pyramids but then the rest of the surface biomes are pretty same old same old we pretty much saw this already but look let’s start peeping the underground stuff and look at this oh my god this is dope this would be dope to pair with like spirit mod or something that adds in like a lot more aquatic life because I mean look at it i It looks like the mod here though updates the AI i know it does that for a couple of uh creatures and stuff cuz look at the fish they’re moving a little bit different but this is a great looking mod what else i guess let’s just start going through each side and see what’s popping we got the mushroom biomes they got their own little bats hanging from the ceiling here they’re they’re just bigger nothing too crazy with these but look at this these might be my favorite oh my god the shimmer is already one of my favorite biomes in terms of visuals but peep this we got like a whole shimmer cave a whole waterfall and yes you could still get sucked into the water like what am I supposed to do now i’m just stuck here oh there we go but this is so beautiful and guess what it leads into that’s right it leads into its own shimmer themed structure which is very mystical very magical look at that oh we got new enemies little toms what is this this thing looks sick i want it arcane chandelier now this is a cool biome not only because it just visually looks cool like look at the background you got little bookcases you got little glasses with like shimmer behind them but to navigate around this biome you do actually got to go into the shimmer that’s how you get around here it’s pretty cool so there’s like secret areas of a chest that you got to like drop into the right shimmer to get into so it’s cool that it’s using the actual mechanics itself to get things done and move around the area i believe there’s more enemies there’s like a mage or something down here but it’s cool to just see new enemies in general dang they don’t play around either they were shooting off site oh there you go look there’s a chest and there’s a little mage little enchanter bro looks pretty cool looking let me see what he’s up to what do you get up to okay he teleports around let me see the other move damn he shoots like shimmer i don’t even know what those were butterflies yeah there’s the chest around here we obviously get the key from killing some of the enemies or breaking some of the pots here and look at that even a new weapon i like the new additions even lower in here a really sick biome i believe there’s an area you could drop to here yep drop through to here to then get to one of the biome keys this is the hollow biome key cool so I’m assuming the biome chest are actually spread around and they’re not just all trapped in the dungeon yeah looking down deeper there’s like a whole like obsidian layer which is kind of cool which means I don’t have to make obsidian i can just like come down here and break it the underground desert is pretty much same old same old you know just a little bit bigger in areas but look at the fossil look at this it’s never going to stop endless fossil now let’s peep the underground jungle the underground jungle in vanilla is already pretty sick i got to mess with it i got no problems with it probably my favorite underground just cuz it’s so easy to navigate and find new areas but look at this we get a couple more platforms in here you know especially in the areas where there’s mine shafts you still got that ugly ass guide painting but then the beehives this is a major change because like I said the beehives used to be like whole like kingdoms i’ll put a picture of what they look like before but look at this this is this is cool i think I like these original beehives better the kingdoms were pretty sick too but you know I think this fits more of the theme of the boss i think maybe there should still be a kingdom just for fun just for a little difference but it it’s cool that they change it back to you know more organic beehives and then of course the jungle temple jungle Temple is another structure that you know I’m pretty okay with in Vanillaaria they’re a little small sometimes like the area where you fight the golem itself so I guess it did need a little redesign in certain areas cuz you got mods like Calamity that make it so the golem arena can’t be small but this is still cool it’s obviously going to be a lot more fun to navigate all these branching paths so it’s not just like one winding path all the way down and obviously it’s just way more beautiful look at the background it looks like it’s never ending in the background and then we get down here look at the size of the arena bro so much room to fight the golem you never have to worry again but this this is good this is a good change great change amazing change keep it going we get to the marble caves now the marble and granite caves got a complete overhaul my only problem with them is that in base terrier there there’s really no content in here you got Medusa you got granite golems that’s about it so the fact that they get such a cool change and nothing else really added into them it’s a little bit upsetting so you’re definitely going to need to find a mod that adds some stuff to both of these biomes but I like how this is just like a giant cave now and then we look at the granite biome and look at this it’s like a giant cave that goes downwards so you got a vertical giant cave and a horizontal giant cave i like that that’s so cool that gives both of them a little bit more character i think I like the granite one better cuz it just looks cooler visually but you know this marble one ain’t too bad is just missing like I said a couple of enemies or something else down here it’s annoying that the marble caves actually have like a great theme like Greek theme but there’s really nothing else in it but the hot plate and Medusa like the theme is already there they might as well just finish it off add a bunch of more Greek themed stuff they could add Greek gods that could be like a mini boss down here something why does this ugly ass painting keep following me everywhere what’s down here i believe this might be like a spider themed cave oh look at this yeah it’s like a dead spider themed cavern or structure i like me some more structures into you know more dungeons to explore i’m a big dungeon fan you know usually when I play modded Minecraft I love installing like 30 mods that add dungeons but yeah this is cool it’s even got some little ambience and music down here little little scary biome to explore i mess with it are these like altars what are these yeah sacrificial altars look at that what the heck who they sacrificing down here i hope it’s the god in that ugly ass painting oh even ghost spawn out here naturally that’s sick all right let’s head over to the left now what’s popping over here we got giant ice caves so most of the regular caves are pretty much just like tripled in size which is really nice but most of the layout remains the same let’s peep the structures over here now obviously we got the dungeon i love the entrance to the dungeon look at this it’s super long super long it feels a lot more dramatic to drop down makes more sense that a dungeon guardian would hit me on this fall down but boom it’s just better i think the thing I dislike about both the uh jungle temple and the dungeon I guess is that they’re just one giant winding path with no branching path but look at this this got branching path they all connect eventually to the bottom area and look at the paintings this is so cool it feels like I’m in Hogwarts the paintings float in the background and they actually move that’s so sick how the hell do they get that done i don’t know but placing them down they actually move i guess we got to see if it works on this ugly ass thing yep well very cool uh I want to see if there’s any different traps oh yeah look at this so this is like a whole water trap area and they got little grates that piranhas spawn out of that’s so cool can I break the grates i can’t break the grates so that means endless piranhas bro look how many there are so this is really dangerous oh my god they swarm you when you go in the water i never knew that i never knew this mod added that that’s so cool so not only do they jump out of the water every now and then try and hit you doesn’t seem like they really home in to hit you when you’re out of the water but as soon as you touch foot yeah rest in peace but cool we got chest in here if you want to risk going through all the piranhas to get the chest let’s see the main area though that’s what I’m trying to see look at this this is like a main connection area i don’t remember this painting this sick painting of the goblins playing poker and then at the bottom oh here we go here’s our biome chest okay so the biome chests are mostly in the same area a couple of them but I’m assuming other ones are not in the same area like if I look at the crimson corruption are there biome chests somewhere in here probably maybe before we get to this structure let’s just go to hell real quick uh hell’s got cool little like laboratories down here i mess with it sort of like steam um I was going to say steam I guess steampunk laboratories would work and then they also got these cages that I’ve messed with look at this cages where they put the damned in anything else down here oh yeah we got bigger areas so these are our hell hotels you know the little structures in hell i can call them hell hotels these are the new variant of them uh is there anything else we do still have the ashwood biome which is a great vanilla feature you can see look look at the hanging hellbats down there watch once I go down there bump they start spawning that’s so cool that’s about it okay there’s a little like crust of hard stone which you can break okay interesting but my favorite structure is right here from the mod easily the best structure definitely one of the most unique let’s head in here i’m not going to say anything if you guys ever seen the structure you haven’t seen it but get ready cuz it is peak ready here it comes i’m going to hop into fake god mode too see if we uh run into any scary things what the Uh-oh uh-oh we got a giant death like block that literally will chase us down where’d he go it’s gone giant death block and you got to find your way to safety i got stuck right there oh my god look look i chose the wrong path there’s no safety here hold up cut through on some Crash Bandicoot dude and it keeps going until it hits a spot where it actually like despawns it keeps going that’s terrifying i don’t feel safe down here what was that oh [ __ ] that one would have crushed me if I was in FA god mode the block looks a lot cooler though it definitely has changed wo this is two block summoning points i think this is what spawns them yeah look at that oh my god can I grab it oh look i can grab it yeah not so scary now but I can like drop them on our head oh he said “Bro let go of me.” Yeah super sick it’s just a cool little unique biome bro cool little unique biome oh my god I didn’t even know what spawn down here adds in a lot more character to a structure that looked like it could have just been you know plain old terraria structure nothing in it there is stuff down here too look essence of might which gives us little buffs so this is kind of like the mage stones from uh Skyrim you know you get to choose which stone you want and you’ll get a little buff from it it’s really cool kind of wish something like that existed in vanilla territory like the the little stones that give you blessings scatter them around the world in different biomes they all give you different perks like that would be very sick but that I think is all of the remnants mod again it’s really fun to always come and visit it and check out the mod i might do a video where we install a couple of mods that work together with it like some other structure and biome mods which isn’t too many because obviously it overhauls the whole game but yeah it’s super sick i really wonder how the hollow works let me let me kill the wall flesh real quick okay so the hollow just took over you know the same old area the thing is the corruption in crimson wow look at that it’s changed to just take over the area immediately next to it so instead of us getting like a little column like this that goes to the side goes diagonally it just takes over the area around it okay I like that i mess with that and then yeah the hollow is just over here so nothing crazy with the hollow it just takes over usual area like like it always does in the base game now real quick let’s peep any items and goodies/ enemies that the mod adds in it’s got its own music boxes it’s got a couple of accessories of course cosmic stone that thing looks sick of course a bunch of little uh furniturees and stuff we can place i placed that furniture and it gave me a whole error box but I’m still in game little interesting there hopefully that gets fixed there even is weapons vintage sniper that’s pretty cool because isn’t this like the old one of the old weapons that got removed or retextured it might be the dart rifle and then there’s a bunch of lance weapons very interesting that they chose lances as the one they want to add in fragment grenade what does that do just like a bunch of chunks everywhere when it explodes yeah we got a hook this one gives us light apparently when you use it and then we got a wand of refinement the shimmer magic in this wand makes certain walls look nicer interesting and then let’s peep how many custom enemies are in the mod oh hold up they got like gunners and stuff what the heck where do you find those that has to be down here has to be down here let’s bring them in yeah look at this we got little like little bots that shoot at us blaster flamer kind of gives me uh Bioshock the little sentry turrets we got Iser Gunner Shocker that’s cool a little bit upsetting we didn’t see any of them uh exploring some of the areas but it’s cool that they exist i always love me some new enemies especially in some of these new biomes i think that’s all the enemies though yeah there’s a honey slime and then obviously there’s the ward and the centipede was actually a cool addition but yeah that was the remnant mods make sure to check it out shout out everyone still working on it i again I really just love seeing the updates with the remnants mod because it’s one of my favorite like giant overhaul mods ever it’s the best one ever so make sure to check it out and do a playthrough with it it’s really game changer doing a playthrough with something like this it changes up a lot but other than that make sure to leave a like
