all right so before I move on with Tides of Terraria stuff too much I just want to take a quick look at the raiding meta game that we are going to be having so first I’m just going to see if rescue pals still work using the PAL pods over here and then I’m also going to see how it plays out with this new statue thing the new PAL box management structure let’s see if I can show it pal is that enough of a search or is everything in this game called PAL remote what is it called palbox okay did I not Maybe I scrolled past it palbox okay here it is level 32 it’s basically just a pal box you set it up wherever you like and you can change pals in the base so maybe for some breeding farms you could have it right there and I guess mostly for raids so let’s start a level one chillet we’re going to let it get knocked out and we’re going to see if this rescue Rio this was the rescue rio right not the Oh no wrong wrong Rio let’s not start with a mistake so we got our rescue rio we got combat turned off let’s see where’s my monitor stand combat is turned off perfect and then I’m just going to summon a Rio random Rio boss here so let’s take this one and just let it punch Chill in the face go on get it that should do it it’s down are you going to rescue buddy you’re mining come on is this uh your priority it is rescuing okay let’s see now oh I mean it is attacking but it’s not healing okay let’s see if that is consistent let’s just remove these pals for now do I have any other level one pals okay some Musarina level one level one level 13 i’m on fire and I’m stuck that’s not good okay bunch of knocked out pals can you rescue why am I stuck not easy to dodge when you’re There we go hey stop stop why is it running after me like that that’s not how you usually fight okay so rescuing isn’t working rescuing has been removed so rescuing has been removed that much is for sure let’s see then how you deal with an actual Rio are you going to attack me there oops i am burning down here okay Rio get him hey stop attacking me i want you to attack the Rio so I can reset okay so did he used to burst right and now we we reapply him and I’m stuck again he’s using holy burst again we do it again are you going to hold the burst again yes you are okay so that has not been fixed so I guess the new meta for raiding is that we are no longer going to be using rescue pals instead we are going to be spamming like you just accept that you’re going to die right you can even have like zero armor on you just kind of like you send out your pals like this you let them use whatever skills they have and then you just you know stand and casually move them back and forth like this you let them hold a burst you accept that you’re going to die just you oh he he’s stunned okay then let’s just take all of them again holy burst him that’s a lot of holy burst right that’s the wave of holy bursts we remove it again sorry pals but I need you to holy burst the boss and that’s the next wave of holy burst unless my ears are lying to me and then we do it again and that’s the final wave of holy burst very exciting stuff super exciting so rescue pals are done for oh am I going to have the electric sound bug now going to move away the pal box never stops being electrified once it starts so overall um at the goblin dudes thing here as well put the fire out please uh I’m not really sure how I feel about the rescue pile was uh way too strong but I was hoping they would change it instead of just removing it now Cen Lord Ultra I feel like yeah sure you can uh you can fly around and swap pals in the PAL box thing here and I guess I guess like I would just build my base with an overhang or something and place one of these and then just stand there swapping pals i guess that’s how raids are going to play out now unless you really just force yourself to join the fight i guess it’s just depends on how you want to play the game oh is that a meteor let’s just see let’s just check this one out real quick okay not a supply drop would have been fun to see if I got one of those uh applied workbooks so yeah that was a really quick test on the rescue strategy um we’ll see how it plays out i guess I want to be optimistic about it but I mean personally my wish was that they would lock the palbox no pal swapping during raids and balance for that because I find pal swapping during raids to be pretty boring like I prefer doing this kind of stuff you know flying around holy bursting even meowir now but you Oh they fly pretty far um so I guess it’s just like my personal bias for how I want to raid uh this goes a little bit against what I want as I said I would have preferred no swapping at all rather than that being how raids work but it is what it is we’ll see i’ll do some Senor Lord Ultra attempts uh later i just want to do this real quickly i still have to do the whole uh leveling up part as well i still haven’t tried out fishing so there’s quite a lot of stuff to do before I really try out Cena Lord Ultra again with just swapping pals and they didn’t fix that bug where the skills reset so now you can just holy burst spam forever or just stand switching Bastigor for double blizzard spike or something so we’ll see we’ll see that’s it for this quick test

Tides of Terraria seems to have removed Rescue strategy and replaced it with a new spam swapping strategy.
