Testing Scary Happy Ghast Myths in Minecraft…

greet the Happy Ghost minecraft’s newest mob you can attach mobs to it ride it with up to four players and even create trains out of it but what if that cheerful smile is hiding something darker a terrifying secret hidden since its release waiting for us to find it now I’m part of tons of different Discord servers including ones just like this where I search for theories and myths to investigate but right now every single one of these servers have one thing in common they’re all talking about the happy gas and not just because it’s a brand new update but because people are beginning to see some pretty strange and unusual encounters like right here where a happy gas blew up this player’s base how does that make any sense they’re supposed to be friendly but then it gets even weirder here’s another screenshot where the animals are seemingly looking at the ghast is the happy ghast talking to them somehow then it gets weirder we see it again with the pigs and even just regular players are beginning to question the happy gast is something much more creepy going on but how look at how cute it is they say and yet here again more animals staring almost worshiping hold up i just noticed something I didn’t see before guys look at that cow i’m not 100% sure but it looks like that cow is smiling okay you’ll need to keep an eye out in this entire video if you see any mobs also smiling i feel like that is a key to this whole thing look at this if I’m not mistaken that smile is slightly bigger than this one here it’s like the smile grew who the happy ghast is getting happier but can I somehow get this same smiling ghast in my own world but for us to actually test if this is true and not just trolls creating fake photoshop images to scare people we first need our own happy guys there’s a few ways you can do this you could craft them or trade for them with a wandering trader or villager but the most common way is to find them with nether fossils deep underground or on the surface just dig one of these up these sad sore little dried ghasts and we need to give him life by doing so that should tame the happy gas to us and make him friendly but the question is will he turn on us will he become evil that’s what I want to know now I actually haven’t done this yet because this update only just released so there’s still a lot we don’t actually know about the happy gas but from watching some tutorials online it’s pretty straightforward chuck them down you chuck some water on top and that should cool this dried gas down it makes it no longer dried it’s like I don’t know moisturized or something and eventually it should turn into a baby ghast or a ghastling but maybe just in case this isn’t quite the right way why don’t we also get the dried ghast a different way by crafting it snowballs are used to feed the gas in order to make it go from a ghastling to a full happy ghast but you need soul sand oh I remember it’s gas tears and soul sand wait guys just think about that for 2 seconds that is so cruel we use soul sand which has literal souls in it and then we take ghast tears the tears of their parents you have to kill the ghast parents just to make their own babies if I was the dried gas I would not be happy at all in fact I would be furious that my parents were killed just for me to live however despite all those theories I’m not really seeing anything different they are both just regular dried gas perhaps we’ll see differences once they grow up [Music] finally they’ve transformed into their happy ghast state and in all honesty they are really cute they’re adorable in fact it’s hard to believe something this friendly this happy would actually be evil but I mean just look inside of it there’s red and there’s blood waiting each of the screenshots that we saw showed adult happy gas not these ghastlings so maybe as a child they’re still happy i I don’t really know all I know is that you’re supposed to feed them snowballs i guess that cools them down more look we got those little green particles i assume that means that they’re growing how many snowballs does this boy eat he just consumed 16 snowballs and you ain’t growing okay yep they’re both here seem pretty usual they’re tame to me they’re following me and they’re smiling but the screenshots we saw showed a very creepy wide smile i mean actually not all of them did only some but if they were aggressive after time has passed that means something made them angry but what what would make them so angry that they would go against their own programming or is this a secret that Mojang has put into their game i don’t know maybe we start something simple like punching them nope he doesn’t seem to care bro is like you punch him all you want what if I punch him nothing they seem unfazed they’re still happy with me all right well let’s take this up a little bit what if we went ahead and stacked magma on top of this ghast’s head that’s pretty brutal right okay okay so if we go here just like that can I place it lower oh yeah i can that’s literally touching him bro he is literally phased through the magma and he’s using it as a back scratcher all right well that was clearly not the torture I thought it was how about a bow and arrow to the face nothing nothing really you don’t even care do you not care that your brother’s getting shot at right now no what if I kill his literal brother in front of his very own eyes i mean it’s worth a shot right oh man guys I feel like the bad guy right now okay here goes nothing there’s our other ghast over here all right he’s looking he’s looking ready and drop the lava he’s watching his own friend burn before his very eyes i I feel awful but did you all see that his mouth got bigger did it not you all saw that right just turn around there there that mouth is definitely wider guys rewind the video and can you check for me is that mouth wider or am I crazy right now okay just go from a distance that’s a wider mouth there’s no doubting it i killed his friend and he was happier about it doesn’t that make any sense hold up will he attack me now no he seems normal as always i I don’t understand one thing I do know is so far that’s the only thing that’s managed to get a reaction from this guy so I’m going to take him back into the Nether and we’re going to kill even more ghasts in front of his very eyes guys this might be one of the crulest videos I’ve ever filmed but I need to understand why Ghasts after being sad for literally what 12 or 13 years why are they suddenly happy is it all a ruse is it all a scam to trick us into making them our pets are they actually doing this to infiltrate our lives i don’t understand but we’re going to find out i’m going to the Nether and I’m going to find out oh no he’s getting away quick run after him that was way too close to losing our literal only lead of this super smiling gas okay that doesn’t really sound that scary i’ll work on the name the point is I’m chucking him on a fence post so we cannot lose him at all wait did you just shoot a fireball at me he’s becoming aggressive wait oh nope nope no it’s not it’s just other guards wait hold up this is actually perfect guys we can kill them right in front of his eyes prepare to see your brother die another one and another one he’s watching he’s watching this is perfect come on hit him right back and now any moment now he’s going to turn around and the smile is the same i don’t understand we literally killed two more gas in front of him what if we already hit his limit i mean we already killed a gas in front of him we need to do something that will make him even angrier take him to the next level by messing with him directly you can ride happy gas i’m pretty sure you just need one of these harnesses so if we unleash him chuck the harness on not going to lie this is sick this is the first time I’ve ridden a ghast and I love this it’s making me feel a whole lot worse for what I’m about to do i am going to fly this ghast directly into lava i mean that’s how we got the first smile we killed a gasp with lava okay ready and Oh but we can’t kill him we have to stop we have to stop get out what hold up wait guys he just kicked me off did you see that i was riding him and then I’m suddenly just kicked off wait can we try and reride him here what the he just took off his own harness wait grab him grab him grab him he’s getting away no no no no no no no no no no this is bad this is bad he took off his own harness he’s running away he’s trying to escape why oh his smile his smile is bigger his smile is bigger it’s working it’s working it’s working but we’ve lost him oh I got him i got him i got him i got him we did it we did it we made him even angrier look at that smile it’s literally twice the size we’ve killed his brothers we forced him to bathe in his own lava he won’t even let us ride him anymore this is crazy maybe he’ll even shoot fire charge but he wouldn’t have any cuz he’s not here in the Nether what if we gave him some i know technically he’s getting happier but I don’t believe it i think it’s all a facade a mask of his true anger that’s the only explanation that makes any kind of sense to me and I’m going to prove it why didn’t you eat a fire charge buddy come on munch up what what the he just shot it at me oh holy do you see that on the ground his his fire charge created a smile on the ground he ate my charge he can shoot them okay I’m not feeding you anymore and I just noticed his smile got even bigger you know what now that we’ve proven those work I’m just going to um get rid of those i cannot risk dying i’m going to do something that would make even the nicest the happiest Minecraft players furious i’m going to sleep in the Nether turns out I did not have a bed on me but I’ve gone back and along the way I’ve developed an even newer theory i keep calling it a mask but did you see that there actually is a pixel gap in between the smile and the rest of the gas body i think we could break it with the explosion damage of this bed okay here goes nothing we’re about to break that smile right off and see the anger underneath what the What the Um guys no no no no no no no no no no no no no no how are you stopping me from using the bed i can’t even damage it now what if its own kind was the one to damage him it’s stopping me it’s angry at me but if a gas just so happened to shoot a fire charge at me and then suddenly miss me and hits that gas that would work right okay perfect this is it all right come on here goes oh no how did you miss me come on come on come on hit him surely we can get him hit like this right there yes perfect woah woah woah woah woah it got way larger it got way larger okay kill this one kill this one kill this one no no no no no no no please no uh-oh uh-oh uh-oh okay we can’t risk it we can’t risk it let’s hit him with the arrows oh I thought he almost died there okay but the smile didn’t crack it just got bigger oh wait wait it did kind of crack i mean it’s Is that Is it bleeding we saw in the Gling that there’s this like red fleshy layer underneath him is the smile cracking to reveal that flesh is that’s what’s happening given he’s taking a little bit of damage here i just want to make sure we get him to the overworld heal him up and then perhaps we bring him back after that since snow was used to grow him I’m pretty sure we should just be able to take him to the snowy mountains being in the snow will heal him right the gas is in the overworld we just got to run and make sure we do not lose him again come on come on come on no we can’t lose him he’s going too high please please please please please please please grab him grab him holy that has genuinely been the most scary part of this video is potentially losing our only test subject okay you know what now looking at that smile it might not end up being the most scary part of this video especially once we heal him in the snow maybe healing him will make that smile disappear and we’ll finally discover what the happy ghast is truly hiding all right come here buddy into the snow here you go buddy good boy he’s not healing i don’t think he’s healing normally if a mob is healing you would see like a particle effect but I’m not seeing any here unless it’s just the snow so he could be healing we just wouldn’t no oh no oh no guys did snow always look like this i mean they could have changed it in the most recent update but if I’m not mistaken those are smiles those are the same smiles of the happy girls it It’s spreading its smile why why does it want to spread its smile onto everything onto the snow what what purpose does that have okay well we we’ve tried making him angrier by hurting him by hurting things in front of him what if we do more things physically after all when we rode it he kicked us off even though we can’t ride the Happy Ghast right now you can make a gas hold a boat i’m pretty sure that’s part of this new update all you need to do is unleash him then you attach the boat first then to the happy gust wait hold up now we’ve just attached two leads to me that’s not right it’s supposed to have a like a harness appear around him is he not letting that work either or am I doing it wrong okay not attached to me there it is yo look at that okay again the happy is such a cool mob but what happens if I try to ride in the boat jump yes what it just broke he is refusing to lift me and his smile stayed the same wait a minute all of those screenshots guys it wasn’t players that were looking at it it was mobs it was mobs what if we make him carry a mob will will he destroy the boat the same way he destroyed the boat for us there’s only one way to find out will the the sheep suddenly start worshiping him like we saw in the images or will the sheep gain the smile after all the snow has all the smiles and in that one screenshot that the ship’s not smiling the sheep is dead i don’t understand oh my gosh okay now it’s bleeding out of its eyes we are so close to cracking that smile guys okay grab him grab him yet in all its anger it’s still not attacking me why not okay we’re getting him more mobs the mobs clearly worked they’re connected to all of this somehow the smile is connected to all of this somehow how exactly i don’t know i haven’t quite made that connection yet but I’m pretty sure I should have some mobs around here i mean look yeah mobs plenty of mobs for us to grab i don’t think that was a cave sound i mean I’m technically not even in the cave that was a growl a growl from what that we left the happy gast all the way up there on the mountain what could possibly be growling at us there’s literally nothing here maybe it was just like a distorted speaker glitch i don’t know we just need to find some wa what’s attacking me the cows attacking why are cows attacking me all of a sudden it has It has the same smile as the the hum kill it kill it kill it ow ow it’s biting me it’s biting me no get back get back get back what the How did it get its smile first first the snow and now the animals no it’s just it’s just one cow no other animals would be affected right okay i I see another cow over there we can just What is going on why is it doing this why Why does it want to spread its smile it’s trying to spread its happiness that should be a good thing and yet that cow it attacked me immediately after that sound oh my gosh no another one wait it’s a sound again it’s a sound oh my gosh the sheep as well no no the pigs the sheep it’s all the moms it’s all the moms oh no no no no no no the sound it’s going over and over again i’m going to die i’m going to die i’m going to die run run run run run okay that sound is driving me crazy what is that sound there’s something we’re missing with it it’s must be connected to the happy gas somehow is it Is the gas transmitting that sound is that what’s controlling them maybe there’s something online about this sound is it an Enderman is it It’s kind of sounds like an Enderman i scratched the internet for a single way to decode that sound but nothing with nowhere to turn I desperately opened up chat GBT in a lastditch effort to ask for help luckily I was able to go through my recording file and get an MP3 of that sound the issue is it’s kind of useless cuz I can’t figure it out and I know AI is wrong like 99% of the time but what other choice do I have can you help me find a secret in this file i guess come on please analyzing please please please waveform of uploaded audio okay well that’s what it looks like but I don’t see any hidden secrets there if you’re looking for hidden messages or secrets common techniques include specttogram analysis i don’t know what that is i’m not an expert in this speed or pitch changes reversed audio it appears to be reversed i can’t send the file back directly but you can download it here it’s got a message when you reverse it all right let’s download that okay pull out the downloads file let’s listen to this we’ll open it in Audition that way we can see the exact file now let’s see what it us angry who is the us are those the mobs that attacked me are they saying I made them angry why are the mobs angry i mean I guess we always kill mobs for items they could be angry at us for that or is it something to do with the happy ghast maybe we miss something no it clearly says you make us angry what if the gas was pretending to be happy so he could get into the overworld and convince the other mobs to finally take revenge against the players we need to calm the happy gas down right now just take deep breaths and stay calm where did my fence go why is he not attached to a lead uh hi buddy we’re totally chill now in fact so chill I’m going to cool you down you know when I put the water on you and turned you from a sad dry gas into a into a happy gas i’m I’m going to cool you down now okay yay yay smile that’s not Okay that’s not the kind of smile I was hoping for snowballs right you loved snowballs before eat Eat those he’s just absorbing them no no oh sorry i didn’t mean to hurt you oh he’s drowning oh he’s drowning what you can drown um I’m trying to cool you down the opposite thing okay he’s still alive he’s still alive everything’s chill we’re all chill how do I cool you down how do I stop you from controlling my mobs just Do you want my valuables yeah have some diamonds is that what you want i’ve cooled him down what else can we cool him down with bro just except something okay oh okay i’m sorry i didn’t mean to punch you oh no okay well confirmed he can in fact shoot fire charges wait I can explain i was just trying to cool you down buddy what is he doing on fire is it just me or are those explosions like twice the size of a regular car no no no no no okay we just got to get inside the way Minecraft mobs work is if they can’t see you they can’t attack you that’s the case with every single mob hide okay we’re safe i I didn’t hide for command what do you mean what uh-oh what how can he see me inside my house no my house this is my own survival world are you kidding me no no no no wait what’s that sound it’s that sound again oh they’re down to summon the mobs there’s so many of them they’re all chasing me oh I’m done for i’m done for dude I barely survived when there were like four of them those are like There’s like 20 there go faster faster faster faster he makes that sound you make us angry or whatever it is and then they just summon all those mobs appeared out of thin air he’s still shooting me ow our base maneuvers how could he see me inside the house how how i don’t understand i just can’t believe my base is destroyed the gas and its stupid smile made all the other mobs angry and now I’m just getting so mad wait you don’t think that means as well what no no no no no no this smile is on me too it’s spreading absolutely everywhere how why first the snow now the mobs why does it want this smile on me too it doesn’t make any sense wait a minute i I didn’t do that i didn’t switch to the sword wait I’m not controlling my hands are here no I didn’t hold that sword what’s going on what’s going on it it it’s forcing me to smile wait I get it now it’s forcing me to smile because every for the last 12 13 years we’ve been abusing gas killing other guys and now this is the happy gas revenge and now it’s controlling me and I’m not even playing wait it’s taking me back it’s taking me back to Happy Gas he’s just staring at me he knows he knows he’s controlling me dude if this gets into other people’s worlds it’s all over i need to stop this right here right now do I plug my unplug my PC that could corrupt it i would have to buy a new PC but no I got to risk it i got to risk it for us all i really hope I don’t regret this which cable is it my setup is so complicated um Um Which power cable is it guys if we pull the wrong cable it could ruin everything wait I think it’s that one there it’s that one right at the very end okay we’re almost there get it and pull oh we did it the power cable’s out okay did it
