Copper Golems, Copper Chests & Armor / Tools OUT NOW – Bedrock Beta 1.21.100.23

Hey guys, welcome back to another video on my channel. Today we’re back with another snapshot or beta. Minecraft have released the first features for the third game drop and that is confirmed with the bedrock settings. Now, one thing I have just noticed, vibrant visuals is way too much. So, I’m going to quickly just turn these down a little bit. So, this first game drop does require a experimental toggle. And currently, it’s only on Bedrock Edition. Minecraft have confirmed it’ll be coming to Java probably around the end of July. So, the first thing it includes is a new mob. And this new mob is the copper golem. It is obtained just by placing a carved pumpkin on a copper block of the variant. So, if I place it on this one, I will get a normal copper golem. And if I place it on all these, you can see the oxidization does go up. Now, what do these do? Well, you can see when I summon them, they will place down a copper chest with them. These chests can be interacted with and work like normal chests. You can also double them up. But these copper golems will go around and move items between these chests. So, for example, if I was to put some copper blocks in this one, you can see this one right here has taken some of the copper blocks out. They can take up to 16 per copper golem, and they will move them around. So, I’m pretty sure if I was to now just put one of these inside of this chest, they can move them from this chest into this one. I think obviously they can only move them up. So, if I was to put that in there, can they move it from that one to that one? Um, I don’t actually know. This one just seems to be standing still. They don’t seem to be moving them in any way. Okay, it’s now walking around. Is it going to put them in any chest or is it just going to stand there holding them? Now, I don’t really know how these work. It says on the patch notes that they meant to move them, but it seems like it’s taken it and it’s now not doing anything with them. If I was to place a normal chest down, will it place it in a normal chest? Okay, I’ve put down a normal chest and it seems to be interacting with it. Yes, it’s put it in here. Okay, that’s kind of cool. So, it’s taken it from a copper chest and put it in a normal chest. You can see there’s now 40 in there. But also, if I was to give them an item, can I just give them an item like so, or do I need to drop it on the ground? So, I’ve dropped them ones on the ground. Will it pick them up off the ground or does it need to be from within a chest? Okay, it seems like it needs to be within a chest because they’re not picking them up off the ground. They are just going to copper chests and moving them from copper chests into a normal chest, which is kind of cool because you can create item filters. For example, if I wanted this chest to only be oxidized copper, I can then fill this chest up completely just by doing something like this. And then if I want say random items within this chest. For example, if I was to throw a copper chest in here, it cannot place the copper chest in this chest. So, it has to place it in this one. That is really cool. Now, the next thing to check, can they pick up non-stackable items? So, if I was to throw a Netherite chest piece in there, can it pick up this Netherite chest piece or can it only take items that stack? So, for example, you’ll notice that chest is now gone. It cannot place the chest in here cuz this is full. So, it will notice that. And then you can see it goes to the next chest and places it inside of here. This is going to be such a cool feature. And there we go. That one has the Netherite chest piece. You can see it checks this chest first because it’s closest. And it will go to this one and place it inside of there. This is really cool. And I love this. Although, that didn’t place it inside of there. That’s weird. Is it because there’s no Netherite chest pieces in this chest? Let’s see if that’s the case. So, if I was to put one Neite chest piece in there, will it now be able to place this one inside this chest? If so, that is really, really cool that it checks to see if there’s an item of the same kind in there because it means that you can now create really cool storage systems. So, yes, it’s gone in there. I really do like this. These are going to be so useful for storage systems and just sorting out items because you can now just have these as your chest you ditch items within and then have your actual storage system behind and these guys will do all the sorting for you. It does take quite some time. It’s going to be way better than you doing it yourself. Now, copper golems and copper chests are not the only thing within this update. But one other thing I do quickly want to mention, when you summon a copper golem, a copper chest will be placed down. You can also craft these. You do not just need to rely on the copper golems. I’m pretty sure the crafting recipe for them is just a chest and some copper. So, if I was to do that and throw some copper in there, is it full copper? Yes. There we go. So, it’s eight copper ingots and a chest will get you one chest. And these copper chests can be waxed. And they also can be oxidized. So, if you leave them in your world for long enough, they will eventually go up to the final state over here. Same with the copper golems. The copper golems can also be waxed and they can also oxidize. But unlike the Minecraft live showcased when this mob was in the vote, they do not freeze into a statue at the final state. As you can see with this one, this one is still walking around just like all the others. Now, the spawn egg for them is right here. You can see what it looks like. And this just spawns a normal copper golem at the default state. Now, that is not it. We have also got copper armor and also copper tools. So, if I was to quickly just grab all of this, you can see we have copper shovel, copper pickaxe, copper axe, copper sword, copper hoe, and also chest piece, leggings, boots, and helmet. And if I was to throw these on, this is what they look like when they’re on your body. These can also be trimmed with armor trims. So, if I was to grab a smithing table, and then I was to grab, let’s just say, diamonds. And let’s also grab a template. Let’s just grab the silence armor trim. So, let’s grab this one right here. If I was to now just decip this, place this down. You can see throwing it in there will create custom armor. And copper does have a new darker variant for if it’s trimmed onto copper armor. So, this is what it looks like. copper armor with copper trim, it just goes a lot darker. And then if we was to now do copper armor with diamond trim, you can see what this looks like. This is copper armor with diamond trim. It does look really cool. Now, the tools are also in the game. These cannot be trimmed, obviously. They just work like normal tools. So, if I now go into smoke mode, you can see I can break these around the same speed as iron. They do also have a lot more durability than stone. So on the website it says what comes between stone and iron. The answer is copper. So copper is a level between stone and iron. Crafted just like normal ones using copper ingots. They also repaired using copper ingots. They do the same amount of damage as stone but they have higher durability. Now we don’t exactly know how much durability they have because inside of bedrock you can’t really see things like that. But they are the same rarity as stone. They just have more durability, which will make them more useful early game. So, you don’t have to keep crafting new stone tools before you get iron. Now, you can also smelt down copper armor inside of furnaces, and that will get you a copper nugget, which you can see right here. I think you can also turn one ingot into nine nuggets. Yes, you can. And you can also turn nine nuggets into one copper ingot. Now, that is everything within this beta. It’s focusing more on copper golems, copper chests, copper tools, and also copper armor. Now, once again, this is currently only available in Bedrock beta. It will be a part of the third game drop, which is rumored to release around October time. And not going to lie, I can’t wait for these to come to the full game because using these in storage systems is definitely going to be a gamecher. And it’s going to save me a lot of time because I’m one of the players who don’t really like sorting items. I just throw them in the chest and hope that someone I play with sorts them or it never gets sorted. But anyway, if you did enjoy this video, do like and subscribe. Let me know what you guys think of this snapshot or beta in the comments. And I guess I’ll see you guys another one very soon. Thanks for watching and I’ll see you guys next time. Fire

  1. This was such a cool video thank you so much for making it. If you look at my recent short, the second one I show you that with a item frame, you can tell them where to put Pacific items basically a item sorter mob with a item frame, basically just put a item frame on a chest then place the item in the item frame then it will go looking for the item frame

  2. The tools feel kinda unnecessary / redundant since iron tools are already easy to get. The armor on the other hand, is a great replacement for leather in the early game.

  3. Hope they’ll add more features to this mob like making it slower when oxidized overtime and unable to work anymore with its eye lights turned off, also curious how lightning will effect it

  4. You’re the first one again!
I think that will get you a lot of growth if you keep being earlier than Wattles, IBXToycat and Eckosoldier

  5. Now we need to remove leather armour and make leather use for vanity items and add vanity slot like terraria. Imagine being able to make jackets, trench coats, pants, suits, and shirts with leather

  6. There was a teaser for the glare at the end of the official announcement video. Personally I’d like the iceologer & crab first before the glare but hey I shouldn’t complain! It would also be cool if they added the copper buttons that only the copper golems can use, would make them even more useful!
