The Most Annoying Features in Terraria. #terraria
Terraria is a great game, but it still has a few small things that can be pretty irritating. So, let’s talk about some of the most annoying things in Terraria. First of all, Plantera bulbs. Plantara is a great boss, but man is the way you summon her inconvenient. It doesn’t make any sense to me why there isn’t an item used to summon Planter. Having the bulbs as an option is great, but that being the only possible way to fight the boss, even after beating it, is pretty disappointing. Random invasions can also be pretty frustrating. The Goblin Army, Pirate Invasion, Blood Moon, Solar Eclipse, Martian Madness. There are far too many unavoidable events in this game, and they can often interrupt you in the worst time possible. You’ll be there mining, building, or gathering materials, and then boom, a goblin army is approaching. And finally, possibly the most annoying thing in Terraria as a whole is underground traps. Listen, I love early game Terraria with all of my heart. With that being said, I can’t stand constantly trying to avoid traps in the beginning to avoid dying constantly. It’s ultimately a good thing that they’re in the game, but sometimes I just wish they weren’t.
What are the most annoying features in Terraria? Let’s talk about it.

Biome spread is annoying
the big problem with plantera bulbs is that they force you to have to bring plantera all the way to your arena, and she's very slow and tends to despawn a lot when doing this
i hate the f angler he is just 💩
you want everything easy
I have never had trouble finding plantera bulbs. I always find one while mining chlorophyte and make my arena near her. After that they are pretty easy to find.
The events aren’t that common and are rarely inconveniencing. Especially when you can just go underground if you want to avoid it. But then happening randomly is important for new players to experience it so they don’t miss entire portions of the game.
Traps are not that bad, even if you die a few times from a boulder or a dead man’s chest. If you keep an eye out for them you can see the boulders or dynamite before you activate the trap.
they should make the enchanted sundial also skip invasion events
The goblin army and pirates can be avoided by not being at your base
Not even mentioning corruption or crimson is insane
See, random invasions can be annoying, but I feel like putting Martian Madness in that category is weird since you can actually avoid it. It only triggers if the drone sees you and then gets away, if you avoid the drone or kill it, the event doesn't happen.
Dude the invasions was SOOOOO FRSUTRATING!!!
I was doing my first Master Mode run and I was getting ready to fight Moon Lord. All I need to do was to sleep and wait for rainy days so I can use Truffle mount better but I genuinely was losing my shit when invasions were happening EVERYDAY!
It's like 4.30 am. Solar Eclipse happened
And then 7.30 pm on same day. Blood Moon happened.
I was actually tweaking. Now I appreciate the "skip event" mods bcuz holy shit that was the most horrible Master Mode run. I'm never playing Master Mode ever again
I think the Blubs being a requirement to fight her (Plantera) The first time is actually a good idea. It's always a part of the game i honestly enjoy. I think the issue is though that she really isn't a replayable boss. When you beat her, you should get something to craft planters spawners.
Well, underground traps are supposed to be annoying, so I think they are actually alright
fishing
Everyone complaining..what a surprise.
What about biom spread
The thing I love at the stage of the game I’ve reached, is that my baseline with events is straight up area denial. I just use two lunar portals, the stardust dragon, and the zenith. Good luck surviving if I can damage you
If you don't want to have to deal with traps just play the "no traps" seed
Downtime and death loops are my biggest grievances about the game. Especially on Expert or Master mode, it is really easy to be killed multiple times consecutively during a really hard event (such as Eclipse or Martians) because you lose buffs and half your hp while respawning in the middle of a bumch of enemies.
Downtime is mostly just annoying, but when I have to farm a summon item, look for Planterra's Bulb, or just wait for the Lunatic Cultist to respawn, it can get kind of frustrating.
I once got a solar eclipse and a blood moon back to back
I don't think traps that bad it could be enjoyable thing
The Martian invasion is very avoidable
If u hate traps that much try getfixedboi seed
I like the events and traps. Traps make game more difficult organically, and the events give more content and gear to obtain.
Every single one of these things are intentional. Annoying as they be, removing them would get rid of a lot of things that keep the game engaging and keep the gameplay unique and give you a new experience every time you play
I feel like goblin and pirate invasions need to be changed to single time events and goblin maybe again in hardmode, and after that you need to summon them.
To be fair you can avoid most invasions by staying deep underground until you’re ready to deal with it. Especially grinding in hell for wall of flesh or potions invasions aren’t an issue at all.
they could improve invasions by making it so they can only spawn naturally once and then after that they have to be summoned manually
Biome Sight Potions were suuuch a needed addition.
The "Suspicious looking seed" could be an item that you can craft and use for summoning plantera, not used like most boss summons and instead plantable like pumpkin seeds, letting you plant one per ingame day or sped up of you press your interact key on it in your inventory if you have fertiliser in your inventory, refilling its use meter so you can place another bulb, the seed is infinite use and if not holding a seed in your inventory or void bag plantera will drop a seed too, you can not get around the cooldown with multiple seeds.
The crafting recipe could be something like
Chlorophyte ore x20
Jungle spores x15
Moonglow seeds x10
Soul of night x6
Crafted at a mithril/orichalcum anvil
nothing will ever be more annoying to me than bosses despawning when you're slightly too far away. it feels like every time i fight golem in a bigger arena he despawns when im not literally kissing his asshole
