They said it wouldn’t work and that it was impossible. But after 4 years and the entire community campaigning about the mob vote, they added in the copper golem to Minecraft in vanilla. We actually did it. Yesterday in the latest Bedrock preview, the copper golem was added alongside other new copper features with Mujang explicitly saying they wanted to make copper less useless. I guess they really do listen to the community. Are we the plonkers? The copper golem is made how you’d expect with a pumpkin and a copper block. And it walks in style apparently. God damn. And it will sort your items in your chests by taking items out of a new copper chest made with a chest and eight copper and also appears after summoning a copper golem and putting them in regular chests that already have that item in them. They can hold 16 items at a time individually. And any item in a copper chest can be picked up by the golem, including the dragon egg. Put that down a little, bro. Do not lose it. Copper tools have also been added. Because copper is so common, you can make a stepping stone between stone tools and iron tools. They do the same damage as stone, but have better durability. And the tools mine quicker than stone, but slower than iron. But weirdly, they’re more enchantable than diamond, but apparently less than iron. Mojang, are you just trying to confuse us? Copper armor has been added, too, with higher durability than leather, but less than iron. And finally, copper nuggets exist, too. But I mean, come on. We got the copper golem after 4 years. the the Minecraft community’s healing.
