I Survived 100 Days in BETTER Minecraft Hardcore 1.21.1!

I survived 100 days in Better Minecraft Hardcore 1.21.1. This is an amazing mod pack that makes Minecraft better in almost every way. There are tons of structures, new features, and some of the most well-made bosses I’ve ever seen. In these 100 days, it’ll be my goal to gear up with some of the best armor and weapons, collect all of the new dragon types, and to defeat every main boss in this world, including the brand new bosses, Maladictus and the Ancient Remnant. But you’ll have to find out what they look like later on. There are so many fun things to do in this pack, so we’ll just be exploring the world and having tons of fun. [Music] Okay, y’all. We are back in Better Minecraft. It’s been so long. This mod pack, I always come back to it with its different versions, and I love it every single time. I mean, look at this, dude. We spawned in. Oh, hold on. Wait. Oh. Oh. Um. Oh. Uh. No. No. No. No. No. Wait. Wait. Wait. How do I get out of this? I’m so serious right now, dude. This is not fun, dude. Dude. Okay. Well, that was a little bit annoying. But anyways, uh, we spawned in and there’s this huge tower here and we’re in this, you know, beautiful cinematic snowy forest. But you know what? I do not want to stay here because I will not be able to live in peace. Okay, well, let me get some wood. Okay, nice. Let’s turn those into planks right away. And now I have a little bit of a fail safe if I end up falling into the snow again, which I hope will not happen. I’m not enjoying falling through and almost dying over. Okay, really? Please, please. Regular biome without snow. Oh no, there’s a skeleton. Oh no, no, no, no. Wait. Wa wa wa. Why is he shooting so fast? Oh my goodness. Is he buffed? I think he’s buffed cuz I’m on hardcore or something, dude. Holy moly. That was actually very close. Wow, dude. Okay. Um, that’s not a good start. If I get some red mushrooms, I can make some stew. You know, good old stew. And here’s a little cabin, which by the way looks amazing. Hello. You guys know I love animals a lot. This looks like it would be like a gatekeeper tower, but I don’t even know what this is. We do have some food. Need to smelt it up. Oh my goodness. Cooked god. Okay, I love it. I mean, there’s even a bed. I’m going to grab that. And I didn’t even look into the quest log at all, but I mean, these are just kind of outlining some details, which is cool. Obviously, I’m not going to read through them. Let’s dig up the necklace of the desert. Dude, I have no idea what that is. Okay, Maladictus. That’s new. Okay, we got some new stuff going on here, y’all. This looks like a cool area. I always enjoy in the beginning of one of these 100 days in better Minecraft finding the area that we’re going to end up living and building in cuz it can be so different every single time, especially with all the new added biomes. Like look at this place. That’s pretty cool. There’s also some buildings here. And hey, I mean I don’t mind that. Look at this. We got a chest. Come on. Iron gloves five attack damage. Um yeah, buddy. Give me that. While it is a beautiful site and I’d like to walk around in nighttime a little bit more, right now is not the time because I’m probably going to die. This place looks amazing. Look at this. Oh my goodness, dude. We have like red trees, pink trees, blue trees, green trees. I mean, we got the sunlight. Those look kind of yellowish. I don’t know, man. I think this is the spot. Now, it is throwing me off that that structure is there cuz I’m pretty sure that might be a pillager kind of outpost type of thing. But we can totally approach it and take him out. Oh my goodness. I think that’s the perfect spot for our home. I’m so happy with this. Okay, now there’s already coal here, which I am going to pick up and stone pickaxe. Just like that. And give me that. Okay, so we’re here. We’ll just clear out this little chunk of grass and then we’ll have this little kind of area to set up in. I wasn’t planning on starting to build a house this fast. I mean, I’ll lay out a little bit of a foundation, I guess. I don’t know what I want to use to fill in the walls yet, so I’m not going to place anything. Instead, I think maybe we should just go mining. Oh, I got a sheep. Hello, buddy. We’re going to keep this fella because we probably are going to want to start a little sheep farm. Is it just me or do I see a mine cart on the map? What is going on? Is this like a temple? Oh, dude, this is definitely like jungle temple vibes. And I’m kind of intrigued and kind of scared. Uh uhoh. This is going to be trapped, isn’t it? Uh there’s a lever. Uh there’s a mine cart. Totally doesn’t look dangerous. I don’t know what you’re talking about. Uh something moved. I feel like they’ve been in the game for so long. Oh my goodness, look at that amount of iron. That is actually crazy. Let’s head back. Let me quickly sleep off the night. You know the drill. I mean, we might as well hatch this now. There’s not really a reason not to. Oh, it’s kind of invisible, but I’m sure it’s doing its thing. And I believe once it grows, we’ll just need to feed it some fish, which makes me think, why don’t I just get some fish right now so we’re prepared. [Music] Now, we also got a bunch of iron. To start off, I think I want to make an iron pickaxe for sure. We can make a chest plate. leggings. And you know what? A bucket. I’m pretty happy with that. We got some sugar cane over here. Uhhuh. We got a mine shaft here. Actually, that is kind of perfect. I’m totally vibing with a mine shaft. Look at that torches lighting up our way. Oh my goodness. Look at this, y’all. Are you serious right now? Look at this. What is going on? I don’t know what that is. Some kind of purple mushroom. It’s like a crimson color. This is a massive cave. And I don’t know if that’s like What is that? That’s not a stronghold, is it? It’s got pistons. I don’t Yeah, I don’t think it’s a stronghold. Oh my goodness. I need to make a shield. I forgot about that. Dude, I had one job. I was just supposed to use my iron wisely and I failed. Oh man, this guy does so much damage. Ow. Excuse you. Ow. Holy moly. Okay, this is not supposed to be this intense. Golden apple. Thank you. I need that right now. Okay. Wow. What an introduction to this cave. And what is this? Now, some of y’all might be mad, but I kind of want to make a diamond pickaxe right away because I feel like that’s just going to speed up all of our processes. And by the way, I’ve seen y’all commenting sometimes why I choose to mine in the Nether for quartz instead of using a spawner. The reason is mining for quartz is way faster experience. That’s all it is really. Oh, and I almost forgot to pick up the diamonds that we found. Honestly, I’m kind of feeling like making a diamond sword as well. I might just make diamond boots cuz those are going to give us additional armor toughness. That’s totally worth it. And helmet. I think it’s time we go. My inventory is too packed, man. It’s way too packed. Oh, and more diamonds. I just can’t leave this cave, can I? I know I wanted to check out that stronghold structure, but uh honestly, that’s not on the list of priorities right now. I think we’ll just come back here. Okay, here we go. Oh, okay. Hello. Now, this might be a good time to start building our base. I like those blue leaves. I feel like using oak planks is going to be way too boring. Even these logs we maybe should replace. Like look at this. We got zelova logs. I mean, it’s not every day that you see this. So, you know what? Let me make an iron axe. And I think we should go around chopping some different wood types to see what we want to use. So, let’s chop down some of this elova wood. And how do the planks look? Oh, yeah. Pretty cool. Maple. Okay. Pop this down. [Music] Okay, dude. How big is this tree? Wait, what? I It hasn’t even affected it. What’s going on? I got literally a stack and a half of logs. And I don’t even see any progress on this tree being broken. I don’t know. Maybe it broke another tree nearby or something. That’s my only guess. Oh yeah, look at that. It’s breaking the other trees around. Okay. I mean, I don’t know how to feel about that. How do the planks look? Oh, they kind of have a unique texture, actually. Let’s go over and tame this fella. Hello. There we go. All tamed. This dragon has increased flight speed. Ah, okay. Well, same with our other one. I don’t It looks like there’s other perks. There’s whistles for dragons as well. And specific dragon armor. Look at that. We get random rewards for hatching. Even got another saddle, which is nice. Can’t put it on yet. It needs to grow up a little bit. But I did also get a diamond as a random quest reward. That’s kind of nice. Maple’s kind of a vibe. I’m going to go with maple. [Music] Our [Music] aether dragon here is grown. So, we should be able to put a saddle on them. There we go. Fill in these walls. Let’s try all the different doors we can make. Spruce kind of is the winner for me right now, honestly. Yeah, let’s do that. And let’s finish moving all of this over. Boom. Boom. Boom. Okay, build this up even further. And we need a block for the floor as well. Could use something like stone brick, which also means I need to go mining for some more chap. Now, Swab Enterprises is scaling, folks, because I’m going to make four more furnaces so that I can smelt up all this cobblestone way quicker. Boom. Stone bricks. We can make slabs and let us cover the floor. Uh-huh. I think that matches up pretty well. I am kind of tempted for the ceiling to use some skyus. I don’t know. I feel like the blue will look nice with this. I do think we’re going to need more skyus wood if we’re going to make this happen. Oh boy. Yep. Massive tree. There is vein mining in this pack, by the way, but we need the enchantment for it. So, we’re going to have to work towards that. Holy moly, we took it down. [Music] How we looking? You know what? Now, we’re doing quite well for ourselves. I feel like the next step for us is setting up some farms so that we can get sustainable food and overall making things that are going to benefit us for a long time. Speaking of things that’ll benefit us for a long time, I definitely think we should make a sleeping bag because that’ll let us easily sleep without resetting our spawn point. So, sheepies, where are you? There we go. And also, it is a good time to make a backpack. I need rabbit hide. Oh, might have to head back to that snowy tiger that we spawned in. Then for our farms, maybe we could start building them over there. We’ll just have to clear out a bunch of trees and then flatten out some space and then we’ll just set up a fenced area. I think that’s a pretty good idea. And by the way, guys, right now everything’s nice and dandy, but as we progress forward and have to defeat some of these bosses, I know for a fact it’s going to get a lot more intense. So, I’m just trying to cherish what we have right now. By the way, I wonder if we can try to get all of the dragon eggs within these 100 days. That would be pretty cool, honestly. There’s some new ones here, too. Like, I’ve never seen this lush dragon egg before. Amethyst. Yeah, cool stuff. It looks like the fire dragon egg is the rarest with an 8.5% chance to be found in a desert pyramid. Uh, we have some clearing out to do. That’s all I can say. [Music] [Music] Mhm. I feel like we’re working with a really nice area here. Honestly, I don’t know if we need to make it any bigger at all. What we should do is make fenced in areas. And it’s night time again, which means we have a chance to use our sleeping bag. Thank you very much. Oh man, look at this view, though. Like, imagine just waking up to this every morning. I don’t think I could ever be mad at life ever again, honestly. And that’s basically what I am doing. Anyways, let’s finish filling this in. And I need two more fences. There we go. And the recipe is like extremely simple. We have bones, which can turn into bone meal, which can turn into white dye. And with that, we have everything we need to make a white dragon whistle. And we should use this on Hulk. I love our Aether Dragon, too. Looks very cool. But Hulk was the OG. And he also gives us regeneration, which is kind of cool. Here we go. Bound G. Well, we do get emerald dragon armor as a reward for making the whistle. Well, we can make it sit from anywhere, which is kind of cool. We can make it follow. Well, probably build out a wheat farm cuz we need a way to sustain these animals. Before we do this though, I do need more torches so that we can actually prevent the water from freezing up. In that case, maybe we’ll go mining for a little bit. Mhm. Here we go. Massive cave with a bunch of coal. [Music] Might as well just make four stacks of torches. And I have no idea how big of a problem the ice is going to end up being, but I guess we’re going to find out. And let’s start sewing the ground. Only thing is for the lighting source, I don’t really know what we can do other than maybe actually have little spots like this where we will place torches. That’s the best thing I can think of. And in fact, under those, we can place water buckets so that we’re fueling even more of the soil. Ow. Are you kidding me? Marauder. I’ve never seen that mob type before. He straight up took out a third of my health with one shot. Oh boy. [Music] Got to be really careful, y’all. I can’t just chill in this game, can I? Okay. Well, that was a little bit that was a little bit scary there, but we’re good. And you know what? But on top of these, I wonder if we can place trap doors to kind of give them a more solidified look. Yeah, I kind of like that. [Music] Okay, that’s a good start. Now, I want to start placing down seeds so we can see how well this grows. And if it doesn’t grow, we might have to make some adjustments. I’m honestly afraid to find out. Bam. That signifies my power. Yeah. Well, this grew a little bit more. That’s some kind of progress. But if I bone meal, it’s just it’s not really working. There we go. Growth 14%. I don’t really know what’s going on. Honestly, my pure guess is that it’s influenced by the seasons. I’ve got to that’s got to be it. But in that case, we’re just going to have to stick it through and wait until it stops being the winter. Seasons affect many things, especially crop growth and weather. Can be equipped in your accessories to display the current season on screen at all times. Okay, let’s craft that. We need a clock. We can totally make that. Yay. I’m going to be able to figure out when I can actually grow my wheat. Bam. Looks like it’s mid-spring. It’s day eight out of eight of spring out of a total of 16 days. So, apparently I can equip that. And now it shows me what season it is at all times. I think that’s a little bit unnecessary though. I prefer to just refer to it. Scoop all that up. I’m getting a bunch of levels actually. We’re close to level 30 already. And I do want to start progressing in the adventure aspects of the mod pack because there are a lot of bosses to defeat. Some of which I’ve never fought, including this ancient remnant. I don’t know if I’ve fought this. I definitely haven’t fought Malictus. And I’m pretty sure this is a really powerful boss. So, with all that said, and given the fact that we are close to being able to do a level 30 enchantment, I think we should go mining and get ourselves another diamond so that we can make an enchanting table as well as some obsidian. [Music] Got some hay and more food. Oh, little secret chest. Look at that. Aha. Okay, here it is. I found the mine shaft. The legendary mine shaft, may I add, because this place is amazing. And I mean, we could kind of enchant everything with like level two enchantments if we wanted. Wow, we actually got really good enchantments. Protection two on everything other than the boots, which have feather falling, two amazing pickaxes, honestly. Just no fortune, unfortunately. And then smite two, sweeping edge two, sword. That’s a huge upgrade from where we were. Now that we do have our upgraded gear, I am kind of feeling like we can try to approach this tower again. All right, here we go again. Hello. And our other option is trying to get netherite armor and starting to fight some more of the bosses, including that end boss that we were very close to. Both are very important. Honestly, I think it’s a good time to work on our cow and sheep farm and at the same time I’ll work on the build. Now, can I vein mine this tree? Yes, I can. Nice. We find the villager, and then we might just do the good old trick where we turn him into a zombie villager and then save him from being a zombie villager so that it discounts all the trades. In order to take it on though, we might need to prepare some more potions. And golden apples are going to be really helpful. And we do already have a good amount of gold. We can make it looks like just over 16 golden apples. In fact, make that 24. Let’s quickly grab some apples from a nearby apple orchard area. Looks like the apples around here are not fully grown yet. Yeah, grow 33%. So, in that case, it’s just easier to go to a structure. I’ve definitely left apples in structures before, but now it’s coming back to bite me. Yep, here we go. To be honest, I do kind of also wish we had golden carrots as a food source since we still don’t have steak. Food actually has a huge impact on how fast you can regenerate your health, which is extremely important, especially when you’re doing boss fights. So, maybe we’ll do a quick mining trip after this. That could be pretty good when fighting bosses. Honestly, might be worth making right now. Then while I wait for that to cook up, I feel like Tarzan, but like an evolved cataclysmic version. Now, when I arrive home, I’ve been needing a place to land cuz I keep having to land here, and I don’t want to make the dragon landing area all the way over here, cuz then I’d have to walk back home or even swim. And in fact, I think that’s the next boss we should fight because the other one is the Ancient Remnant. And that seems to be the final boss. Oh, okay. You know what? I guess the only boss we can fight before those two is Ignis. I’ve fought Ignis before. It’s actually one of the toughest boss fights I’ve ever had to face. But for that, we’ll need to find the Burning Arena. It looks like we can use the Eye of Flame for that. Here we go. Eye of Flame. Now, before we go on a wild hunt trying to find the burning arena, I do think we should actually use the chance of there not being dragons in here to finish the build cuz that’s just going to make it as easy as possible for us. This gives you armor when you equip it, which is actually pretty cool. And let’s see. I mean, it does 11 damage with 1.6 attack speed. I would argue that this is much better than the Infernal Forge cuz even though the Infernal Forge deals two more attack damage, the attack speeds half as fast and it also doesn’t give you any armor. Yeah, I think this Gauntlet of Guard is going to become our next weapon. And it also looks absolutely sick. And I’m pretty sure you can make some upgrades to it. Yeah, look at that gauntlet of bullwark. That just gives it an additional ability. So hopefully we’ll get this bull work of flame from defeating the Ignis boss and then we will combine those. There’s also sandstorm in a bottle. Look at that. You can summon a void vortex. That’s kind of cool, too. Anyways, let’s get out of here. Our reward from defeating the Ender Guardian is five levels. I need nether bricks, so I’m just going to grab some from a Nether fortress real quick cuz I’m too lazy to smelt up netherrack on my own. That should be enough. They all have different abilities. Like, let’s look through these. Hey, so the aether dragon has quick flight. This is probably the best dragon to use if you just want to fly around different areas. What does the magma dragon have? The dragon and its owner will not be targeted by hostiles in the Nether. Wow. Fireproof. When you’re the dragon, you are immune to fire damage. Wow. Okay. What about this one? This is the fire dragon. Ember aura. Any hostiles near the dragon are set on fire. Wow. And then also fireproof. Okay. Lush dragon. What do you got? I’m very curious. Floral trail. The dragon will leave a trail of plants and flowers when walking. Okay, we might need to test that out. And then nature’s blessing. When the dragon is near flowers and plants, it will grant itself and its owner regeneration. Kind of like a more flowery version of the green dragon that we’ve got. The forest dragon, ice dragon, frost walker. The dragon will freeze water when walking. That’s actually pretty useful. Frost aura. Any hostiles near the dragon are given slowness. If we’re ever traveling over a lot of ocean water, then we definitely want to use this fella since he can just stand on the water while we look around. Let’s give the lush dragon a ride. I want to see the flower trail that it leaves behind. And what should we name it? I feel like maybe we go with a girl name. H. What should we name you? Flora. Okay, Flora. Perfect name. I’ve decided. And we got three Cursium ingots, which means we can do a lot of things. We could make three pieces of cursium armor if we wanted or we can make one of his weapons. Like even the cursed bow. You can shoot three phantom arrows. If it’s a spectral bow, two shots will be fired. I kind of want to go with the bow. I think that’s the most practical for us. Anyways y’all, we did it. That was a beautiful boss fight, but we are not done. We still got some business to attend to. Now y’all, at this point, we made it to day 100 and we defeated Maladictus. But there was still a few tasks we’d been working on that I didn’t complete, like finishing our dragon’s crest, getting the final two dragon eggs, and fighting the ancient remnant. So, I decided to continue on until I completed all of those. And uh that was kind of a mistake cuz it turned out to be really difficult. So, leave a like for the bonus days, everybody. And uh yeah, let’s let’s get into it. Oh, and look at that. Our amethyst dragon is grown. Hey, buddy. Let me tame you. Yeah. Oh, dude, the amethyst dragon looks so cool. Wow. But y’all, we still have two big things to do. We still have the ancient remnant boss to defeat. But before that, I want to finish designing our dragon sanctuary. So, let’s see. Now, with that, we have two more dragon eggs. We need to get the skullk dragon egg and the ghost dragon egg. It says I have the ghost dragon egg, but I’m confused cuz I also thought I found it, but I guess I didn’t. I might have just got confused in the middle of all the dragon glitches that I was having. But either way, I have to get both these dragon eggs. We need to head to an ancient city. And we also need to loot some more abandoned mine shafts. What we can do before anything is just literally go underground and then look on our map. And bam, ancient city found. Beautiful. Let’s just uh run over there then. Wow, I’m so happy with that. Honestly, we can find abandoned mine shafts in the same way. And you know what? I am definitely going to do it. We have this potion, which honestly should be the perfect way for us to be able to easily adventure through this ancient city and get the dragon egg that we want. So, we got a desert temple. This would be one of the places, I believe, where we can find the suspicious sand. Oh, our skullk dragon is hatched. You know what? I’m going to rush home because I don’t want it to despawn. Aha, here you are. Skullk dragon, you are by far the most challenging to obtain. And that’s not enough fish for you. I see how it is. We also got block of ancient metal and that can be used to make some bone reptile gear and remnant skull. Summon modern remnant can be tamed through sniffer egg. But let’s head home. And y’all, we have returned to our home after conquering literally everything that was in our path. I can even summon this new remnant skull that we got. Oh, dude, that’s so fun. I love that. But I do not have a sniffer egg, not going to lie to y’all. So, this fella is just going to have to kind of be walking around. And yeah, I don’t know. We might lose them.
