Katie stream shinies here and we are live. Um, it’s been about five to six uh days since I was last live. My last stream was shiny hunting. For those who are new to the channel, my name is Katie Stream Shinies. By day, I’m typically known for my cozy games. Um, by night, I’m typically known for shiny hunting. And when I mean cozy games, it’s like Stardew Valley, um, The Sims 4. I really do want to stream Animal Crossing more. I think my first Animal Crossing stream I want to do is just like kind of show off my island that I haven’t touched in like um, it’s been like about 2 years since like last time I played Animal Crossing. I think that would be fun, but I want to progress further in Stardew first. Um, we are on the first day of autumn. Um, I’m very new to Stardy Valley. I tend to sometimes get a little bit overwhelmed. Um, I’m not like one of those speed uh players uh very clearly. So, if you guys want to have um like leave tips and suggestions those who are watching the VODs or those who are lurking and want to leave like comments um throughout the live stream or just comment after the live stream ends and like leave little tips and messages. Just know I uh read your guys’ messages. Um, I do my best to take your guys’ tips and suggestions to the best of my ability. Let’s check the weather report for tomorrow. It is a good mining day potentially. Welcome to Living the Land. We’re back again with another tip of y’all. Now, listen up. Let’s talk about sunflowers. When you harvest them, you’ll not only get nice flower, but you’ll likely get some seeds as well. You can replant those seeds or sell them. Um, you’re sold. Hey, hey, what’s up, ma? Uh, Michaela. Hi there. Just randomly saw you’re live and thought I’d pop in. I’ll catch up on your bods after the stream. Oh, well, that means so much. That’s very sweet of you. Um, I’m very new to Stardw Valley. Um, my love interest, I think, is going to be Penny. Um, my focus currently with Stardy Valley because like I said, I’m very new to it. So, I tend to get overwhelmed. Um, but I I do have fun with it. So, I kind of just crawl at my own pace. It might take me like, you know, a couple years to beat the game in in game time, but I’m okay with that. Um, but if you have any tips and suggestions, definitely feel free to like let me know. And if you guys um like want to like talk about who you guys married your first time playing Stardew, feel free to let me know cuz uh I might eyeballing Penny, but I also might go the Maru route. But I think I want Penny. I think I’d only go Maru as if uh Penny turned me down. Um okay, nice. But you’ll likely get some seeds as well. You can replant those seeds or sell them. You’re sold. Nice. Okay, so this is my little farm, right, that I have currently. Oh, wait. Whoa. Oh, all my crops are dead. Oh no, these are all the ones that didn’t make it in time. That’s okay, though. I knew that was going to happen. But look how much money we have. We have 34,193. That’s not too shabby. But we got to destroy our old crops, unfortunately. It’s been a minute. I got to remember how. Okay, it’s this one, I believe. All right. My poor crops. I also need to upgrade my tools. Um, I got a silo and I have a chicken coop. So, that’s what I currently have for my farm upgrades. And I have one quality sprinkler. I want to get quality sprinklers over normal sprinklers. I don’t think I’ll get Oh, whoops. I didn’t mean to destroy that. Whatever. I don’t think I’ll get any um like the Gosh, I don’t know the names of the sprinklers that are after um the quality sprinklers, but they’re like purple sprinklers. I don’t know if I’m if I’m very interested in those, but I just know that a lot of the tips suggest videos that I watch, you know, they tell me to do the st uh do the quality sprinklers over the standard ones. There’s my cat. My cat’s name’s Maro after my real cat, but my cat does not look like this in real life. I didn’t know you can change the color of the cat in the game. Um, so it’s okay though. It’s okay. Maro is just orange in the game, but my real cat in real life, my cat Maro, she’s like uh she’s a mix. She’s like gray, brown, tan, little bits of white. Quick tip, you can use your sword or scythe to remove the dead crops easier. Oh, thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Oh my gosh, what a lifesaver. Thank you so much. See, that’s what I’m talking about. Thank you. I’m very new to the game, so I don’t know everything. Um, but I’m very I’ve always been very interested in playing, and I think it’s fun to show somebody’s first time experience. So, thank you. Um, all right. So, we’re going to have to get new crops today, that’s for sure. What is this? I don’t know what I just destroyed, but okay. How much hay do I have? Um, if you guys uh don’t know, I also shiny hunt on this channel. So, other than Stardw Valley, I like to shiny hunt, play the Sims 4. I have all types of content on this channel. Um, so anytime I’m not live, there’s always stuff to watch. Um, so this is your first ever Stardw Valley playthrough. It is. Yes. Yes. I’m very, very, very new to Stardy Valley. This is the farthest I’ve ever played um in Stardy Valley. Um I get overwhelmed sometimes just because like so I grew up playing Pokemon in the Sims 4 and those aren’t like like those are very like I don’t know like I don’t know how to describe it but like I’m not good with strategy games and Stardy Valley necessarily isn’t a strategy game. Um oh thank you for subscribing. Um but it’s there’s just so much to do it’s like very overstimulating. But I also really have fun with it and I really like the community with Stardy Valley. I will say I’ve had a very like positive experience with the Stardy Valley community and the Sims 4 community. I’m not going to lie. The Pokemon community it’s a hit or miss sometimes, but most of the time it’s pretty good. All right, collecting this hay. What is this stuff? What is this pink stuff? Am I like destroying it? my I don’t know. I just know that we won’t be able to collect hay in the winter. And I do need to upgrade my tools still. I know there’s so much to do. I’m more focused on like upgrading my farm. Um I’m upgrading my tools and then eventually working on my house and then uh you know eventually marrying cuz I want to marry Penny really bad. Can I chop these small trees down? Okay, thank God. I was like, I want to get to this moss real bad cuz I don’t know if it’ll disappear in the winter or not. Enjoy the chopping sounds. And I will say too, sometimes when I play Stardy Valley compared to like when I stream Pokemon, um it’s harder for me to reach chat. So I can only really rehat when I pause the game. So I I promise you I’m not choosing to ignore you guys. Uh, I will catch up on your guys’ messages. I just also don’t want to keep pausing the game because I feel bad, but I also don’t want to waste my time either because then the timer will keep going. I’m That’s something I’m still trying to learn to balance to be better about as um somebody who’s not used to stream streaming these types of games with a very active chat. Um, Pokemon is a pretty linear game. It makes sense why you feel overwhelmed with Stardew. Yeah, it’s that’s exactly like that’s exactly how I I feel. Uh, but I I really want to expand my content. I really don’t want to just like stream Pokemon. And I like streaming The Sims 4. I like streaming Animal Crossing. Um, I have Coral Island actually, but I just feel like Coral Island would be I don’t want to stream my The Sims 4 and Coral Island right now just because I need a better computer mouse to be honest. Once I get a better computer mouse, I think it’d be better for me to like stream them uh comfortably. just right now they’re really uncomfortable to stream the Sims 4 and um oh gosh Coral Island just because uh it’s on the computer and right now I’m playing Stardio on the console and the Pokemon I can do console and when I play Pokemon like I don’t even competitive battle I just like shiny hunting but I do like watching competitive battle don’t get it twisted um is very quickly dissolves into a strategy game to be honest it’s the most involved and stressful cozy game I play exactly it is a bit of a challenge and that’s how I feel but like I will say though like I said you guys are like the the Stard Valley community is like so sweet. Like I have like every time I’ve gone live like I just explained that like I get overwhelmed a little bit but like I really like the game. Uh and I want to explore the game and you know after I you know finish the game even though like there’s not really finishing. It can just kind of go on a little bit for as long as you want it to. Um I I want to pick a different farm and start over and all that and go through all the love interests. I just want Penny to be my first one cuz I relate to Benny a little bit. dear. Um, stress over everything that you can do in a single day. Yeah. And I don’t want to play like that. I definitely don’t want to play like that. Um, so like I understand if I miss like some missions and I miss some events. Like it’s okay because like it’ll often repeat itself the next year. Yeah. Stard can get a little overwhelming, but I love how there’s really no wrong way to play it. You can take your time and do whatever you want. Exactly. Um, and that’s what I like tell myself. And I actually got my one my best friend into Stardw Valley. I also got her into Pokémon recently, too. She’s play uh she plays Pokémon Go with me and stuff. Uh but she also got into Stardew Valley. She streams uh Started Valley. Her name uh her YouTube names Hannah’s Comfy Couch. Um I I retweet her sometimes on my Twitter. Um if you guys follow me over there and all my threads, my Instagram, all my socials, all that fun stuff. Um I have nearly 600 hours in Stardew now and you immediately stress about the community bundle items you get. Yeah, dude. Don’t even get me started on the community center. I get so upset when the cuz like there was um there was one bundle in the spring and one bundle in the summer I couldn’t complete. But I got to I completed like cuz there’s like two of each uh that like I currently have unlocked and I also have a shortterm memory. I’m going to say that right now. So like I’m like I’m but I don’t know what bundles they were but like or like I don’t know. know there’s so many bundles, but like I just know I didn’t complete the summer one and I didn’t complete the spring one and I’ll be like I’m a failure. But then at the same time though, I know I’m not because I did complete some of it. I don’t know. I’ll show you guys later how far I’ve got in the community center. But yeah, but it is a cozy game. It’s supposed to be cozy. It shouldn’t be stressful, but it is a little bit. But it’s also a good challenge. It’s a good challenge. Oh yeah, I got a mayonnaise machine. Got to place that down somewhere. I got to make more chests. Oh no, I don’t. I forgot I already did. Put my moss in here. That’s all this geodess. I have like three geodess just chilling in here. I have 14 copper. I need to Hey, make sure I’m putting those in my coal. My acorns go in here. Oh my gosh. I’m so sorry, guys. I need to take a sip of my coffee. Oh my gosh, guys. They brought I know it’s really early. I know it’s really early and you guys are probably going to give me stuff for this, but they freaking bought pumpkin spice coffee creamer back at the grocery store and I picked it up and I’m just so excited. I’m just so excited. I’ve just been been very bougie about it and it’s been making my mornings. But listen, be nice to people who work retail this week. It’s been brutal. This is all I have been looking forward to lately is my pumpkin spice that I got got early in July that I can make at home cheaply. It’s beautiful. Uh, but yeah, if you guys wear grocery, oh my gosh, you guys get it. This week’s horrible. It’s like Fourth of July week and it’s just like, yeah, people are horrible. So, I’ve been enjoying my days off. I go back to work tomorrow. It’s going to be okay. It’s going to be good times. All right, let’s uh put my copper ore up here. Oh, wait. Ah, no. I don’t want to do that. [Music] Got my grape in there. I don’t want to carry all this stuff. Do I Do I have another I do. I do. I knew it. Get that in there. Okay. Whatever. Yeah. Okay. Let’s go check on my chickens. My cat. Oh, my chickens are gone. I shut them out. Whoops. Dang it. How do Okay, so for those who are in the chat, I guess one thing I’m still trying to understand cuz I just got this are these like uh oak tappers. Like how do you use them? Like how do I like like I don’t understand them really. I put one down, but it hasn’t really done much. Oh yeah, and I have a manas machine. I got to put that down somewhere. Okay. Where do I want the mayonnaise machine? Mayonnaise machine go here. Yes. No, I can go there for now. [Music] Should I sell my eggs or should I just turn it into mayonnaise and then sell them? What makes more? [Music] Ah, okay. I’m out of copper. I’m not out, but I don’t have enough to keep making more. But I should honestly go to the blacksmith today, I think. Get some of my geodess process. Put my copper bar in there. my coal there. Sap in there. Put my stone away. Then maybe we’ll go talk to Robin, too. We also need crops. We need to buy crops also. That’s like very important. You got to wait for it to fill up. Mayo is more profitable. Okay. So, don’t sell the egg. Thank you. I appreciate that. How are you liking the soundtrack of the game? It’s beautiful. And it seems like to too like that like so normally when I stream shiny hunting and when I stream the Sims 4, I will have uh like Streamlabs music playing uh well not Streamlabs music, it’s like YouTube uh Studios music and then I’ll have like the background of my like um Switch audio like on low kind of. So it’s like kind of combined. But with uh Stardy Valley, I just like only put the Stardy Valley soundtrack on like for the game. That’s it. like and you know it seems like it works. Everybody’s like like it’s just like ASMR. You know what I mean? What’s not to like? [Music] Okay. Let’s go. I will look at that in a moment. Pumpkin seeds takes 13 days. My goodness. And then what else? 14 days, 5 days, 4 days. Yams takes 10 days. Cranberries. Wow, there’s so many things to plant. Oh my goodness. I need freaking sprinklers. This is messed up. you can uh plant wheat seeds, but okay. So, what are like the most profitable uh crops that you would recommend? Cuz I know the community center matters, too. But I’m also I think I’m just going to get plant the pumpkin and corn first cuz it takes the longest. We’ll do that first. All of the um Stardew Valley music is a bop. I agree. Cranberries repopulate, too. Okay, so definitely cranberries. We like those. All right, let’s go. I need to plant these and water them. And then I also need to get my geodess processed. We are not going to the mice today. Oh, is it somebody’s birthday today, too? Cuz that would be unfortunate. Oh, thank God. Oh my god, it’s Penny’s birthday tomorrow. Oh, it’s Penny’s birthday. My love. I’m so glad we checked that. I would have been so upset if we missed her birthday. Hope wanted an invasive crab species is living in the local mines, threatening the native wildlife. These creatures are known for disguising themselves as stones. I’ll pay someone to slay two of them. Demetrius. Yes. All right. I have room. Okay, I do have room. I need to get them. a back hack upgrade soon, too. Oh my gosh, it’s been a while since this stream started to be fair. It’s been like two weeks, guys. I watched Wicked for the first time with my roommates and it was beautiful and I could have cried at times. It was it was glorious. I just wanted to share that with you guys. It was the new one with Ariana Grande and um oh god, I’m going to forget all the names cuz I have a shortterm memory, but it was so good. It was so good. And I listened to the soundtrack while I was in the shower last night. It’s beautiful. All right, what did I get? An earth crystal stone. Nice. I Okay, some copper ore. Very good. Very good. That’s all she wrote. Wait, hold on. I want to see how close upgrade tools. What do I need? I need five copper bars. And I wish we could upgrade the our watering can, but everyone’s like, from what I’m told, it’s not worth upgrading the watering can. You should do it very last. But I’m so tired because I don’t have enough sprinklers. Uh, but I’ve I was told that like quality sprinklers are the way to go. like standard quality like the standard sprinklers are just not worth it. So I I literally only have one quality sprinkler so it takes up a lot of my energy. But I know I can buy food at the saloon and stuff and I can also like I have I can fish for food and stuff too. But yeah, I know that the most important tools to upgrade is the co uh copper axe and the copper pickaxe. They did so good in Wicked. I love it so much. I can’t wait for part two. I can’t wait for it either. And to be honest, um it was fun because my roommates, uh one of my roommates, they’ve actually like seen it on Broadway and stuff. Um because like they like they just like grew up kind of like in that culture. And they were telling me like basically like about like how cuz I didn’t know that like like I don’t know like I’ve never seen Wizard of Oz, fun fact. Like I did like kind of like in elementary I guess, but like I never paid attention to it like really and like I have a very bad memory just from like my childhood and stuff. like my memory is just really bad. So I I’m so excited to watch part two and then watch Wizard of Oz cuz like that I’m not going to watch Wizard of Oz until I watch part two of Wicked and then I’m going to watch Wizard of Oz. It’s going to be full circle and it’s going to be beautiful. I found that I can keep my watering can and Scythe and a chest on the farm because I don’t typically need it anywhere else. Pumpkin, corn, and cranberries and eggplants. I appreciate you all so much for like being so kind and helpful. It really means the world. You guys are so nice. I honestly like sometimes like I I I do listen to tips and stuff, but like I get so overwhelmed with like these uh like videos and stuff cuz like they’re all like people who want to like speed through the game and I’m like, “Oh, I don’t want to play like that.” So, I really appreciate you guys being so helpful in the chat. Um, okay. Just wanted to see. We are not close to upgrading our tools yet. And I still I’m not going to talk to Robin because I’m pretty sure she’s already closed and we need to go plant our crops. So, those are the two things I have on my farm. So, I don’t know what’s the next thing I should go for. Unless you guys like have tips and suggestions what I should build next to for the farm upgrade. I don’t want to work on my house yet. I know like the the next upgrade for my house would be the kitchen. And then you can marry somebody once you have your kitchen and stuff, but I’m not trying to marry right away. Um I always So, I got into Pokemon just because my brothers basically like my I have a big family. My brothers got me into Pokemon at a young age because they liked Pokemon. They would let me play their Game Boy games. So technically my first Pokemon game was Emerald, but um after Emerald cuz like I wasn’t allowed to save on it cuz it was his Game Boy. Um but I was allowed to play on it. Uh me and my brother who’s a month older than me because I’m adopted, fun fact. Um, we both were gifted for Christmas one year the pink DS light and the black DS light and Pokemon Pearl and uh Pokemon Diamond and uh you know a few years later Pokemon Soul Silver came out and I remember I was like going through um oh gosh I can’t remember if it’s called Ilix Forest or if it’s Forest I think it’s I Forest let me double check my facts here but I was going through the forest and I randomly found a shiny Oddish and I knew what they were because Sarv the website was a thing back then That’s Elix Forest. Um showed shiny sprites and stuff and uh found a shiny Oddish randomly and that’s kind of how I got into shiny hunting was um it just like excited me so much and then uh I just shiny hunted from 12 years old to 18 and kept it on going from there and now I’m 26. But I kind of want to branch out. I’m not going to lie. Like I love shiny hunting but I don’t want to just be tied to shiny hunting. So, I’ve been kind of mixing it up a bit when I go live and just to kind of, you know, just because I love shiny hunting doesn’t mean that has to be the only thing I stream. I have so much shiny hunting content on the channel that anybody can watch whenever I’m not live. Um, Verizian, good morning. How are you? It is glorious. I am great. Verizian, a member for 42 months. And uh fun fact, our member badges are um themed from Pokemon Quest, which is a free Pokemon game you can download on the uh your your app, like your Poke Oh my gosh, I’m sorry. I woke up like literally an hour ago. I’m tired. And I had to clean. We have a guest coming over today, so it’s it’s fun. But um so basically I got I redid my badges just cuz I got monetized on YouTube kind of fast and I didn’t know what I wanted to like design my badges after. Um and Pokémon Quest is like my favorite Pokemon game. Um just cuz was one of my favorite Pokemon games just because it’s free. It reminds me of Pokemon Rumble and it’s really cute and you can find shinies in it and um I think you get a lot of your bang out of like for it being a free game. It’s really fun and you can download it on the phone, the tablet. You can download it on the Nintendo Switch for free. I’m actually still asleep. Haha. I feel you. I feel you. It’s my day off, too. I go back to work tomorrow and I’m like, I’m so scared. Please be nice to retail workers, guys. But it’s okay. It’s good. Good vibes. I’m so excited. We’re going to stay up late tonight. You see, with Dream Farm back its uh in business, the local economy has really been picking up. As a result, some of the local towns folk have been asking me for a way to source local ingredients for their business or personal projects. And so I think it’s just best for me to enjoy the mines and just like stock up on materials and stuff and get chests and stuff and just really go through the levels 1 through 10 and whatnot. Like I can start off at level five and work my way up if that makes people feel better. But I just don’t want to go past level 10 really. All right. At least not until I’ve upgraded materials. But my my plan is just to kind of just do this for materials and whatnot. Start off at level five. And if it’s too hard, I’m going down. I swear. I’m sorry. I’m so dense sometimes. I recently got the Lenovo Legion Go. Searching for ways to emulate Nintendo on it. Wait, what is that? I don’t I live under a rock. But uh is that like um like a I don’t know what is that? I am not techsavvy at all. One thing I want to do is get my hyperkin set up re uh and go back to my fire red file and hunt in fire red eventually again. But it’s just like my Hyperkin’s not working like no matter what what I do with the controller. My controller like it won’t register that my controller’s plugged in. Um, and I got a new controller for it. I just haven’t messed with it since just cuz I’ve been hunting on the Switch on the Nintendo Switch so much. But I don’t know what cuz like my problem is Legends Off right that’s coming out Pokemon Legends on and all that is it’s there’s going to be two files. one for the original Switch and one for the Switch 2. And in my mind, if I’m going to get it, I feel like I should just get it for the Switch 2. But the problem is, I don’t think I can get the Switch 2 in time for Legend Zaw. So, it makes me nervous that I won’t be able to stream Legend Zaw uh when it comes out in October. So, I’m thinking instead of feeling left out uh while everyone’s streaming Legends on and all that, I’ll maybe like try to figure out my Hyperkin situation and kind of just go live with Fire Red just cuz I also know that like that’s also why I haven’t been going live with Pokemon lately as much is um some people just haven’t been so kind to the people who haven’t gotten to Switch 2 and whatnot. My community’s been great, but I’ve seen it in other people’s communities where they don’t have the Switch 2 yet and their own chat bullies them for not having it yet. And I don’t want to get Legend Zaw on the Switch one and then buy it again just for the Switch 2. Like, that’s just like crazy to me. I don’t know. We live in some tough times. Food for thoughts. It’s a gaming handheld. All well, but the windows on it. If you have a change from Nintendo console, it’s a great alternative. Uh, bullying someone is not having a console is crazy. Yeah, Pokemon community. It’s mostly the Pokemon community that does it. Um, which is why I really haven’t been going live with shiny hunting and stuff as much. I’ve been recording and stuff still, but yeah, I I see it in some of my favorite streamers. Like I lurk in their streams and I’ll watch them get bullied by their own chats and I’m like that’s crazy. It’s mostly with people who will like try to scream stream Scarlet and Violet and like they don’t have a Switch to yet and like you can tell really you can tell a big difference in Scarlet and Violet like who has a Switch to and who doesn’t. Like I feel like you really can’t tell when you’re streaming BDSP or if you’re streaming Sword and Shield. Unless like you’re doing reset hunts, then you could probably tell. But like Scarlet and Violet, it’s just like it looks like a different game, which is kind of [ __ ] up cuz it’s like $60 and they want you to pay. It just makes me mad. I can’t even think about it. like it just boils my blood. But that’s why I just would rather save up for the Switch 2 and buy Legend Saw for Switch 2 instead of buying Legends for Switch One, buying Switch 2, and then buying Legends Saw again for Switch 2. Like, that’s just insanity to me. No, but the Switch 2, but I’ve not run Rush yet for yet for it yet. I only have Breath of the Wild and the Metal Gear Sold uh collection on the Switch. I get that. I’m in the same boat. But I do want the Switch, too. Don’t get it twisted. But I don’t really care about like the chat thingy on it. I just want to like I want Scarlet and Violet to like work. I want it to look good. And it makes me sad that I have to buy the Switch in order to make the game look good. All right, it’s 10 p.m. Should I go up? No, but um cuz I know like so like I know I want to like this is like the beauty I think of me streaming other games is like it’s going to introduce people to shiny hunting. You have to buy again uh get you have to buy games again on the Switch 2 even though you already own it on the Switch one. That’s crazy. Only just Legend Zaw and like it’s literally if you buy Legends Zaw it’s just that game that I I don’t know about the other games to be honest cuz I don’t play any other games on this Nintendo other than Pokemon and Sims. I mean Sims. I said Sims. Oh my god. Pokemon and Stardew. My god. Uh and Animal Crossing occasionally. So, I don’t know about the other games and what their situations are going to be with the Switch, too, but I know the only thing that’s affecting me really with it is uh Legends Zaw, but it’s okay. I’m not panicked yet. But it’s also okay if I don’t get it right away cuz I also think it’s important that like people realize not everybody can afford a Switch too, like at the drop of a hat.
