I Survived 7 Days with POKEMON in Minecraft…
Me and my friend are going to spend seven real life days surviving with Pokémon in Minecraft. It’s unlike anything we’ve ever done before because our aim is to explore and try to find out about the different kinds of Pokémon in our world. And over the next 7 days, we have got three main goals. One is to defeat every gym trainer in the game. Two is to catch at least one legendary Pokémon. and three is to battle each other at the very end to see who is the strongest trainer. So, who will work the hardest and come out on top? Let’s find out. I know exactly what Pokémon you’re choosing.
Obviously, I’m going to choose that. It’s the coolest one.

Let’s fight. With me and Johnny having chose our starting Pokémon, with him choosing Charmander, and me choosing Syndicquil, we figured the only good way to start our adventure was to battle.

Having destroyed Johnny in our first battle of the week, we began to gather some basic materials and started looking for a village because inside a village, we were able to heal our Pokémon. And while gathering some wood, I decided to capture a Zigzagon just so that I would have some sort of backup Pokémon in case of an emergency. What are we doing? We’ve got a map. Why don’t we just look? Oh, yeah. Press M. And there’s a village. Perfect. If it doesn’t have a Poké Center, we’re finished. I want a slow poke.

Yeah. Well, I’m I’m actually just cooking right now, Johnny, so I can’t really talk to you right now. As you can see, we quickly discovered how easy it was for us to get distracted, as everywhere we looked, there were our childhood favorite Pokémon all the way around us. So, after somehow managing to catch the slowpoke, I made my way over to the village where Johnny was and started gathering some stone for better tools. Okay, look at my new friend. Okay.
Oh, that’s actually pretty cool. He’s level one though, which is so unhelpful.

So, we began to battle with more wild Pokémon in order to level up our current team. While doing so, I ran into quite a tanky Drowsy that eliminated my Slowpoke and Syndicquil. But I somehow managed to catch him while he still had loads of health. Yes. Oh, unreal. Okay. Nice. Thank you. A level 13. 13? Yeah, baby. And there’s a Meowth here. I love it.

It says level cap. So, my level cap is 25 until I beat Brock. Right.
Exactly. So, once we beat Brock, we can then get our higher level and so forth so forth.

I’ve got 41. So, we did it. We won our first trainer battle. And then I caught an electrike and decided that we needed to go mining and collect all the apricorns that I could find because as these were the main for Pokéballs, it was the only thing we needed right now. And although Johnny and I will be fighting each other throughout the adventure, we are still friends. So, we do need to work together, especially with all of this grindy stuff. Damach. And then I tried biting off more than I could chew whilst fighting a Pidgeotto where inevitably all of my Pokémon fainted. And so I went back, healed them, and then Johnny and I stole some beds from the village in order to mark where our future base would be. Oh, cool. These green beans give resistance and instant health to my Pokémons. I like that. Come have a lie down, Johnny. It’s sleepy time. No more rain, please. Yes, we’ve done it. No, it’s not. It’s clearing. And then furnaces. I’m sticking the copper in one of these. Nice. Iron and copper going. Unreal.

And finally, I had evolved my Cinderquill into a Quilava. But anyway, I continued to battle Pokémon to train him further so that I would be better prepared for when I entered this first gym. And while training, I gathered loads more apricons whenever I stumbled upon them. And then Johnny also mentioned he had found something cool. So, I began to make my way over to him, fighting more Pokémon along the way, and managed to teach my Magikarp the move tackle so that he wouldn’t be completely useless anymore. Ooh, Johnny, I see you. Oh, whoops. I see you. So, I’m just I’m just fighting this wulu. Do you see the tower behind me?

remedy restores 60 HP of a Pokémon. Nice. So, I don’t have to go back. Once we’ve been in that tower, I got into a fight with another trainer that was roaming around in the snow. And the poor fella didn’t stand a chance. Switch him out. Oh my god, I just merked this guy. Oh, 86 coins. Lava level 20. Just got a black belt. Boost the power of holders fighting type Pokémon. Oh. Oh my god, you Oh, I’ve got to try. Now, looking back, I know this wasn’t the smartest idea. I definitely should have ran, but this level 30 Machoke was way too tempting to pass up on. And so I began to fight him and I was losing every single one of my Pokemon in the process. But I got him fairly weak, so I had to give it a go and try to catch him. This was out of usable Pokemon. And so that’s exactly what I did. I began training my Magikarp like crazy, throwing into battle after battle and then quickly swapping him out so other Pokémon could do the work for him, but he would still get the experience because he is the most useless thing I have ever seen. And Johnny also managed to evolve his Charmeleon into a Charizard, which just looked awesome.
Yeah, boy. Oh my god, he’s so cool. And this made me realize how Johnny was starting to pull ahead. So, I really needed to step my game up. After training briefly and seeing Johnny narrowly lose his fight, I decided to give it a second go. But this time wasn’t to go for the win exactly. It was to help me figure out what the best order and strategy would be for me. And once I had an order in mind, I trade up the proper Pokémon so that I had an easier time. There we are.
