I Made a Working Stealth Bomber with Create!

You can make some pretty crazy planes with create. And apparently you guys really want me to make a B2 stealth bomber. Why would anyone need a stealth bomber in Minecraft? Ow. Yeah, that makes sense. Okay, first things first. I need to set up a reference photo so I know what the heck I’m even trying to make. And I think I found a relatively good picture. I just need to scale it up a little bit and move it to the right. And there we go. Oh, you know what? I almost forgot the most important part. There we go. Can’t have your B2 without a little bit of A1. You guys get it? I feel like the fact that I can’t even decide which of these blocks to use for the bomber is not a good sign. This definitely does not bode well for the rest of the build considering this should probably be the easiest part. Uh, no, it’s this one. It’s It’s always been the carbon steel. It looks the coolest. [Music] While I was setting up the base of the bomber, I realized technically there’s two different designs I could use. The one on the left here is going to look way nicer cuz it has this super clean front edge, but then all the stuff behind it needs to be built on a diagonal, which I feel like at best is going to make it really awkward and at worst is going to make it literally impossible. Uh, and then the one on the right here is going to look way worse cuz it has the super blocky front edge, but everything else can just be built normally behind it, which should make it way easier. Now, I could stand here or I guess technically float here and pretend this is some really difficult decision. Oh my god, guys. I don’t know what I’m going to do. Which am I going to pick? Obviously, I’m going to pick the one on the left here and then I’m just going to hate myself in 30 minutes when it causes a huge problem. Yeah, this is definitely the right decision. Get rid of this piece of junk over here. Nobody wants this. I just need to turn this into a physics object after I blow out my eard drums from this extremely loud noise. And then I can turn this extremely nice right angle into uh you know a much fancier and more expensive right angle. Okay, you know what? I thought it was dumb at first. The A1 joke is really growing on me. [Music] Well, it only took about 30 seconds, maybe less, for me to run into my first problem, which seems about right. Normally, I would just put a single thruster on the back of whatever I’m trying to move, but for some reason, a part of me doesn’t really think this is going to work. I’m not sure if you guys can tell, but uh that is not really what we want. Oh my god. Wait, is it just going to keep going faster? This is not what we want. But I’m really curious now. If I grab this, will it stop it? Oh, there we go. I’m pretty sure when I put this down, I need to go like speed click that lever to shut this off. No. No. Oh, wait. I can freeze it in the air and then I can turn it off. I am so smart after being so dumb. Luckily, I think I have a potential solution. I just really need it to work because it’s the only idea I have. I’m pretty sure if I just double down and put a second thruster here, then they should cancel out the left and right forces from each other and just move it straight. Or at least I I mean, I think that’s what should happen. So, please let this work. Yes. Yes, it works. No, stop bouncing around. Oh my gosh. Thank god that worked. Otherwise, this project would be dead in the water. Oh my god. What is happening? What is happening? Oh, there we go. I’m good. I’m good. You know, I really hope you guys appreciate me working with these physics objects because I’m putting my life on the line every time I touch one of these things. I don’t know why, but they are so dangerous. They’re flinging me all over the place. Yeah, it’s definitely still got a pretty long way to go before this becomes that. But in general, I’m actually pretty happy with the overall shape of the bomber. So, I should be good to go in and add all the parts that it’s missing, which is, you know, essentially all the stuff on the back that actually lets it fly. It needs the cockpit, the thrusters, the outboard eleons, and last but not least, the inboard eleons. While I’m thinking about it, I’m also going to glue all of these together. And then I’m going to put the creative motors down because every other plane that I’ve made, I forgot to do that. and it messed me up. But not this time. Third times the charm. I’m not forgetting again. I know technically all these control surfaces aren’t really correct considering a real B2 stealth bomber has a whole bunch on the back. It’s got the inboard elevon and the midele, the outboard ele. And then it’s got this thing which is like the gust whatever. I can’t even remember the name of it. So it’s got a whole lot going on back here. I had to get a little bit creative so that I could fit it in the limited space I have. But I think this will still work and that’s really all that matters. Also, speaking of creative, can anyone explain to me why creative flat bearings don’t exist? Right now, I need a creative motor and then a regular flat bearing, but I feel like there should just be a creative flat bearing that doesn’t need rotational power and it can still work. That would save me so much space. If anyone out there is a genius mod developer, please, please save us. We need you. This is the third plane that I’ve made so far, and I still just guess at how many wings it needs, which kind of feels wrong. I don’t know if that’s how everybody does it, but that’s how I always do it. And eventually it works, but it needs a lot of trial and error. [Music] I swear every time I come back to this it looks even worse or weirder, but I promise this is a 500 IQ idea that I just had. So, normally I have an issue telling the wings and the flaps apart because whether it’s the copycat ones or the regular ones, they all look the same. But I made every wing white because they both start with W. And I made every flap black because there’s no color that starts with F. This may be the best idea I’ve ever had. Right behind the creative flat bearing, I am popping off with good ideas right now. The last thing I need to do before I can take this absolute beauty for its first test flight is hook up all the drive by wire stuff. So both of these need to be shift to make it go. Oh my god, I hate this part. So this this one is up. And if I want it to go up or the inverted controls. So if I hit the up, I need it to go down, which I think is the back of both of these. And then the down would make it go up, which would be the front. I hate this part so much. Doing this with inverted controls is just the worst thing ever. I’m pretty sure left is the front of this one. and then the back of this one. And then right is just the opposite. I really hope that’s right, but I guess I’ll find out in a second here. I just need to drop this down. And the first check is when I drop it. It looks like it might be a little bit floaty, so maybe there’s too many wings for how much mass there is, but otherwise it looked okay. Oh man, time for the first test flight. Is anybody else extremely nervous? 3 2 1 go. or not go. Oh my god, those thrusters need a little bit of upgrading. I’m hoping two upgrades is enough. Maybe this will fling me into oblivion. I don’t know. Okay, take two. 3 2 1 We’re moving. Oh, wait. It started going really fast there for a second. And they’re not turning. I’m What is happening? I’m just going up and I’m not turning at all. Does it look like the flat bearings are even moving? Why are they not moving? Obviously, I need to do some serious diagnostic work on this before I take it for the second test flight because that one I was genuinely concerned it was going to disappear. Oh my god, there’s no way. Oh, I disassembled them so I could glue everything together. No, I thought I avoided I super glued everything. I put the creative motors down and then I didn’t assemble it together. Well, that’s the first problem. But I also think there might have been too many wings, especially on the front cuz it felt like it was going up a little bit too much in the front. Okay, test flight number two or uh number three, I think. Here we go. So, it’s going up, it’s going down, it’s going left. Nope. And then it’s going right. So, it kind of works, but it doesn’t feel super steady. And it flies relatively straight. The front’s getting maybe a little bit too much lift. But it turns really weird. I just want to get back now. Please let me get back. There we go. Steady out. Stabilize. Oh, it’s it’s shifting from side to side. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. Take me down. Smooth landing. Smooth landing. Nice. I’m pretty sure the problem is a distinct lack of vertical stabilizers, which as you can see in the photo is also a problem in real life, but from what I’ve read, the B2 stealth bombers in real life fix it by having an extremely complicated computer system that messes with all the stuff in the back to stabilize it. I don’t have that in Minecraft. This right here, this is my complex computer system, and I don’t think this is doing anything for me. So, we already knew that vertical flaps acted like a vertical stabilizer, but normally you have them at the back of the plane. Apparently though, from what I’ve read, it doesn’t matter where they are on the plane, they just need to be there and then they count as a vertical stabilizer, which should mean that I can just hide some vertical flaps in the body of the plane. And eventually I’ll cover these up, but I think this should stabilize it. It’s time for the fourth and hopefully final test flight now that I have some vertical stabilizers. I’m really hoping this works and I’m hoping that four on each side is enough. Uh but there’s only one way to find out. 3 2 1 lift off. Okay, it’s really stable. This is like perfectly even. And then I can turn. It seems steadier. It’s not great at turning. It takes a while to turn. And I think I need to speed this up even more because the drag is making me sink down a lot when I use any of the flat bearings, but it’s a really steady ride now. Also, I don’t know if you guys noticed, I installed Distant Horizons cuz everybody said it made flying way nicer. And this is pretty scenic. I’m just I’m kind of vibing here. I can fly this thing around for hours. Here we go. Can I land it again smoothly? Well, it was relatively smooth. Not Not the smoothest. Now, the time has finally come to turn this absolute monstrosity right here into that, or at least to try to turn it into that as best that I can. I also updated my data pack, so the copycat blocks are all 10 kg now instead of 100. So, when I put a whole bunch on here to make it look nice, it shouldn’t really mess with the center of mass, which will be nice because the whole thing is pretty well balanced right now. There’s definitely too many wings on it, but once I make it look nice, they’ll all look the same. Nobody needs to know. It could just be our little secret. Sh. You know what? I don’t I don’t even know if that’s too many wings. Maybe this isn’t too many wings. I don’t know. I don’t care. Whatever. Anyway, [Music] [Music] oh my god. Okay, it took so long to make this. There are so many copycat blocks here. So many different levels of copycat layers all over the place, but I think it looks awesome. You got the top here. I even got a little bit on the bottom. I even included the air intakes up here. You know, we got little bumps here for the air intakes. And then the exhaust right here. It’s got an area for that. And I even put the thrusters inside the exhaust cuz I feel like that’s more accurate. And I added a second one that doesn’t really do much, but it’ll help it go a little bit faster because I assume these things are supposed to be pretty fast. I mean, come on. From this angle, it just looks so good, which makes like the hours of time I spent trying to make it look correct sort of worth it. There are still a couple small problems that need to be addressed. And one of the easiest ones would be the thrusters and the flat bearings clearly standing out a little bit too much, but that is very easily fixed with a resource pack. And you can see I’ve got three different versions here. A brand new version just came out and look at that. It looks so good. So the thrusters look amazing now. They fit perfectly. And the flap bearings are completely gray now, which I specify that because that’s new with the newest update. They didn’t used to be like this. I know this probably seems like a really stupid thing to get excited about, but I feel like the little details for these builds are so important. And oh my god, wait. The creative motor isn’t purple anymore. That has to be brand new as well. Oh my god, guys. It’s so good. Black Eagle, who makes this resource pack, is absolutely crushing it. He is saving all of my builds single-handedly. One of the other small problems is there is very clearly no landing gear anywhere around here. And I’m not even going to try to fix that one. I think it looks so good as it is. I’m not going to ruin it with landing gear. And let’s be real, who who even needs landing gear anyway. Just buy a new one of these every time you fly it. It’s what, like $2 billion? That’s nothing. And the very last problem is this awesome bomber needs some kind of weapon, which obviously should be bombs. So, I spent 2 hours getting the Tali Ho mod, which adds a whole bunch of awesome bombs in. And it’s time to blow stuff up. Look at these things in the hot bar. They’re like comically large. The biggest one is going off my screen right now. I’m going to do the smart thing and I’m going to test the bombs over here instead of putting them on the bomber first. That way I don’t accidentally blow it up, which feels like something I would do. I’ve got my nice makeshift physics object right here. Let’s see if this would Yes. It’s time for the test. 3 2 1 Oh my god. Wait, that’s crazy. All right, the damage isn’t that insane, but the animation and the noise is wild. Wait, I want to do another one. I I have to do another one. It shakes the entire screen. There is so much smoke. That is awesome. And that one was the small one. I’mma holding the big one right now. What does this one do? Oh, that was that was absurd. I think maybe I just use the small ones on my bomber cuz the big one will look really awkward and I don’t I don’t need an explosion that big. That’s excessive. That would be me overcompensating. Apparently, this ripple block triggers bombs around it whenever it gets a redstone signal. So, I think that should work well with my linked controller. I just need to hide it somewhere down here. Maybe right here. So, I just need to link from this and then make it trigger this whenever I hit space. And I can cover both of these up. Or no, I need to link my controller to this again. And now I can cover both of these up. And I should be good to put the bombs right here. How do I orient it properly? Like that. And that. They look a little bit weird, but I think that’s the best I’m going to get cuz like I said, I’ve said it the whole time. Putting it on an angle will make some parts more difficult. And apparently this is one of them. So this is how the bombs are going to look. Oh man, I’m so excited. It’s time for the final test. And I’m really just hoping this works. So 3 2 1. Here we go. Okay, it’s flying well. Nice. It’s steady. It’s going to be time to test out a bomb in a second here. I think we go right here. I dropped a bomb. Oh, there it goes. Oh my gosh. It looks so good and it worked perfectly. The ripple block is awesome. The controls work so well and the thrusters look great. Hidden in the exhaust. And looking at it from this angle, they look so good. Now I just need to do a drive by over here. There we go. It’s down. It looks so good. The explosion animation looks so good. I changed my mind. I’m putting the bigger bombs on it. Oh my god, it sticks out so far in the front. I need to looks so stupid. This is just the dumbest looking thing ever. But I want to use the big bombs, so I’m rolling with it. Plus, nobody makes fun of a person with big bombs. That would be a very bad life decision. This nice pristine forest seems like the perfect place to blow up. So, here we go. First big bomb. It’s going down. I love that you can see it. Oh, there it is. It’s so good. Oh, I know what I have to do. I have to blow up the birch forest. We all hate birch trees. It’s time for them to pay. There we go. The second bomb has been dropped. Yeah. Yeah. Oh man, I love blowing stuff
