Achieving Perfection in 1 Year? | The Ultimate Stardew Valley Challenge | Spring

Is it truly possible to get perfection in just one in-game year of Stardw Valley? We’re going to put it to the test. Hello everybody, this is Gamergar and welcome to a new Stardw Valley series. There’s just one purpose to this series and that is to achieve perfection as quickly as possible. Now, when it comes to getting perfection, we all know that normally you need to enter year 2 to get Kent. But because of the 1.6 updates, there’s now multiple routes we can take around that, allowing us to actually reach the summit in the first year. So, for the first couple of days, we are going to prioritize a fairly good balanced play style. We’re not going to be attempting to max out all the skills or make as much money as possible. We’re going for game completion. So, once we’ve planted some crops on the farm, we’re just going to run around here, open up the trash cans. The field snack was very nice. It’s always nice to get those very early in the game. We’re going to head down to the beach and pick up some forge. There’s no artifact in the beach, though. We’re going to go to pier now. We’re best going to purchase between one and two of every single crop he has except the bean starter. Why didn’t we get the bean starter? Because I forgot. I somehow just skipped past it. But not to worry. Within the next day or two, we will go back to Pierre. I will absolutely pick up those lovely beans. We’re going to whack away all the weeds and attempt to make a nice little path so we can go from the top of the farm right down to the south and out to Forest without getting caught in too many rocks and things like that. We’re going to pick up the forest resin forest along with all the spring onions. Then we’re going to head back to the farm with all these mixed seeds. We’re going to plant them. We’re then going to eat all of these lovely spring onions. We’ll get a fairly good energy top up from these. Once this is done, we’re going to basically mine rocks until our character passes out. We have zero gold. We already got a skill up today, so it doesn’t matter if we pass out from exhaustion. We’ll start the next day with zero money penalty and full energy. level one foraging at the end of the day, which was nice. The next day starts with the watering of crops. We still have zero gold at the moment because we didn’t sell anything. Now, once all of these crops are watered up, we are going to go down to Willie and we’re going to pick up the rod. But the first thing we’re going to do is get all these hoing spots that we can see. The carrot seeds are very important. If we want to obtain perfection, we will have to ship one of every crop in the game at least. So, the carrots also count. When we got down to the beach, we pulled up our first artifact of the challenge, the anchor. Now, the sooner we can get all of the minerals and artifacts to Gunther, the better because one of the things you need for perfection is all up the star drops. Now, we did a lot of fishing today. It’s also worth noting, too, that I am doing no day resets. So, if I don’t get the fiberglass rod today, we’re just moving on. We end up not getting the fiberglass rod because the fish that we were catching, they just weren’t selling for enough money. The flounders are probably one of the best fishes you can catch down here. But we didn’t get any flounders for the majority of day. We will however grab 250 gold from handing in the first artifact to Gunter, which was a nice prize to get. We’re then going to talk to a lot of the Star Chabani NPCs around Pelican Town because the more NPCs you talk to, the higher chance you have of getting help want the quests from them. And we want to get lots of help on the quests so we can get lots of prize tickets and lots of goodies. We also get friendship points when we talk to the NPCs and that is something that we need to think about now at the very start of this challenge instead of towards the end. So, we done a lot more fishing today up by the lake. We got very lucky actually and we got bubbles and the bubbles lasted for quite some time. So, we took advantage of this and I ended up putting up a huge amount of fish. Now, we ended up getting a few fishing levels today which was good. We got a fishing skill of three, almost a fishing skill of four, and we made 999 gold from selling a few bits and bobs, bullheads, carps, chubs, and a clam. Of course, the next day starts with getting the furnace recipe from Clint. We can now craft furnaces. That’s going to be vital for game progression. After collecting the forage here, we’re going to do some fishing. Now, we will attempt to get our hands on some catfish today because catfish are extremely profitable, but we also want to get max level skills as quickly as possible because I feel if we want to get perfection in year one, a lot of that is going to come down to how quickly we can get mastery because a lot of the mastery perks are extremely overpowered. We’re going to set a few fish to Willie and now we’re going to pick up the fiberglass rod. With this, we can attach bait to it and that will dramatically increase the fishing bite rate. So, it’s way more profitable to fish with that. We’re going to donate more artifacts into Gunther and we’re going to to break open even more geodess. We’re getting very lucky with obtaining geodess from the fishing treasure chests. So Clint’s breaking all these open for us. Now I purchased some copper ores off Clint today just to make a furnace. I was trying to get a pickaxe upgrade today before Clint closed, but we just didn’t have the luck. But there’s still no harm in making an early furnace because we can smelt bars as we fish. And because we only have one furnace, it’ll save a little bit of time as we smelt bars every, you know, a couple of in-game hours. Now, I was hoping to get a few more copper ores today from fishing. And I just got six more there. So, we can smelt those, but unfortunately, I don’t get huge amounts of it today. So, we’re not going to get five copper bars today. We’re not going to get to upgrade, but it doesn’t really matter. We can still get to upgrade in the next day or two. Now, I have done another playthrough many years ago where I almost got perfection in one year. I basically done everything except be Frank Clint before the 1.6. So, I’m actually quite confident in my ability to pull off perfection now in year one using some of the 1.6 updates. So, it’s going to be very interesting to see now in the next couple of weeks and months the techniques we use in order to make that happen. We’re picking up health quest here as well. Sebastian was looking for the topaz. I mean, we’ll try to get one. There’s a chance we could get it from a fishing chest, but if we don’t, we simply don’t. So, we’re just going to enter into the saloon here. We’re going to talk to everyone in the saloon just to get that introductions quest completed. We’re going to go back to the farm after that, and we’re going to mine up some stones to trigger the level one mining. It’s always nice to go into the mines on day five with a mining skill of at least once you can make those cherry bombs. The proficiencies are also very important because the higher the mining skill, the less energy we use when we swing the pickaxe. And of course, that’s vital when it comes to making early progression in the mines because energy always seems to be a bottleneck, especially for me. I got lots more spring onions today. And we got the fishing skill up to five, which was nice. Fish worth 25% more. That’s a no-brainer. We picked up the mining skill, too. And we can now make cherry bombs. Cherry bombs are fairly easy to make. You just need some copper ores and some coal and you can make cherry bombs. The next day starts with the watering of crops. We’re then going to run down as soon as that forest, pick up some more forgeables. That gave us the forge is good up too, which was nice. We got even more spring onions today. Spring onions are just so handy for energy early on. We’re going to make some wild seeds. Now, I made it for a couple of reasons. The main reason was we need to accumulate enough gifts and we need to do it quickly. And the spring wild seeds will give lots of love gifts. Horseradishes for Crobus, leaks for George, and of course, daffodilles for Sandy in the desert. So, there’s a lot of reasons why we want to accumulate lots of spring seeds during the month of spring. We’re going to sell some more fish to bring us back up to almost 2,200 gold. We’re going to take a look at the Help quests. Clint was looking for 10 iron ores. A little bit unlucky again with the Helpests. Iron ores are something we can’t freely access at the moment, but there’s a chance we might be able to get them from fishing chests. But still, a lot of it sound RNG. After talking to Maru, we finally completed the introductions quest. We’re going to get the backpack upgrade now, the first one for 2,000 gold because having the extra inventory slots makes a big difference, especially when we’re pulling up tons of fish in the early days. Now, we end up getting lots of fish today, and there’s a couple of reasons why we’re prioritizing fishing at the moment. It’s because it’s just a great money maker, and there isn’t a whole lot else to do. We’re waiting for the mines to open up. Now, we got fishing all the way up to seven today, which was great. The next day, I got cookies of the mother, which was really nice. We were build 12 gold from Harvey, which was very, very small. So, that’s why it’s always good to spend the money as you get it. Don’t leave it accumulate unless you’re saving for something specific. And right now, we’re not really saving for anything. If we get money, we either get a tool upgrade or we might get some crops, or we might get something else. It’s We’re only on the fifth, after all. Speaking of the fifth, the mine’s open today. Let’s take a look at how I want the quests. Ghost was looking for a refined quartz. That’s easy enough. We’re going to get Clint to break open all of these geodess. And we do get a lot of minerals from them. So, we can give all of these now into Gunther. And some of the early prizes you get from Gunther are very nice. You know, for example, the cauliflower seeds. You get a lot of those from the first reward. We can plant all those to make a pretty good profit. I ended up getting four additional iron ores from a trash can. That was enough to actually complete the quest for Clint. You don’t even need to have the iron ores on you. You just have to collect 10 regardless of the method and that will be a quest completed for good old Clint. So, we’re going to get a lot more gold there for the quests. It’s small gold at the moment, but you know what? It does make a difference in the early days. I finally got around to getting the bead starter off here. I’m just going to get one because it’s a regrowable crop. I was checking out the saplings as well. They’re quite expensive, but the saplings are something we will have to get our hands on sooner rather than later because we need to think about all of the items you need to craft all the recipes in the game. These are all things that you have to think about from day one if you want to pull off perfection. Now, we can always get Fizz later on from the George Core and we can buy, you know, some sort of perfections off him, but it’s very expensive and you have to ask yourself the question, can you make that much money in the first year where you can actually buy all of the perfections off Biz? I don’t think you can. So, we will try to get as much natural progression as possible and hopefully there’ll only be a couple of percentages left that would have to use visor. That’s going to be the general tactic. Now, we entered the mines today with the rusty sword. Unfortunately, we didn’t get any sort of great luck. We didn’t get, you know, the broken trident or Neptune’s glaive or any sort of fancy rings. So, we’re coming in here with just the basic tools, including the basic pickaxe. But, you know what? It’s not the end of the world. If I don’t pick up a good weapon by the time I get to the mid layer of the mines, we’ll just go back and farm some BS and get the insect head. It’s not the end of the world really. We are going to farm up a lot of the copper ores that we see here so we can start getting some tool upgrades done properly. When I got down to floor 10, I got the leather boots, which was nice. We’re now going to continue because it’s still early days and it’s only just 7:00 p.m. So, we have a good few hours left. It would be nice to get down to floor 20 today before we call it a day and head back to the farm. Now, the duckies are really nice. They give charity bombs occasion here. We’re going to take all those charity bombs and use them wisely. Something very interesting happened on floor number 14 here. I got swarmed with flies. And I mean swarmed beyond belief. It’s quite rare that this many flies would actually come out of the shadows and attack me. Now, I didn’t run away from this. I looked at this as an opportunity to get a lot of combat XP and potentially get maybe an ancient seed cuz they have a chance to drop those, but it’s very small. I didn’t get the ancient seed. I did get the dwarf scroll level four and that was very nice to get that early on. Sometimes people find, you know, it problematic to get that scroll. So, it’s always nice to get that before the others. I also picked up a nice new weapon, the wood club. Because of this, we won’t have to go farm the insect head. We can just continue. It’s a hammer type weapon, which means we can slam it into the ground and hit enemies multiple times with it. And it has a pretty good base attack power. It will do the job for, I’d say, maybe 50% of our progress through the mines before we have to swap it out. suck better. So, for now, we’re going to use that club and we are going to pave our way to perfection. We passed out in the mines, got past 420, got a couple of skill ups. I sold a lot of stuff today as well. I made a total of 5,283 gold. Most of that came from the fishies that we pulled up the previous day. Chubs, carps, bullheads, large masses, and other bits and bobs. We have some mining stuff in there as well. And a lot of that stuff has to be sold anyway for perfection. There’s a lot of stuff you have to ship off, you know, to get those percentages. Today was Saturday, which meant that the forge bills would have maximized down by the beach before they reset into the Sunday. So, we’re going to cut down all these trees to amass a total of 300 pieces of wood. We’re also getting good forging XP for this, too. So, it was nice. I hold up a prehistoric rift from the ground, which was pretty cool. So, we’re heading out to the museum first of all. We’re going to donate all of the minerals and artifacts that we’ve come across. Now, if we donate enough of these to Gunter, he will give us the key to the source. Would be nice to get the Crobas sooner rather than later. We’re also going to pay Clint to visit and upgrade our pickaxe. We didn’t really need to upgrade it right now, but because I had the funds and because I had the bars, I said, “You know what? Let’s just get it done.” Clint is going to break open even more geodess today. We just picked up a ton right there and we end up getting a slate and a few other bits and bobs. And all of these items will be given in to our good friend Gunther as well. If he already has the mineral, we’ll just sell it and make a profit that way. We’re going to get the nine cauliflower seeds now and we’re going to plant those back on the farm. But first, we’re going to run down to the beach and we are going to ho up all of the spots we can and collect all of the forgeables. But first, let’s fix up the bridge. We just needed 300 pieces of wood to fix that. And we were blessed with a lot of forageables, including the very precious sea urchent. Can use that to make a bait maker later on. And once the bait maker is made, we can basically choose what fish we want to pull up for the whole day. So, that is going to greatly maximize fishing profits. For the rest of the day, we’re putting up more fish. If you’re wondering why I’m not targeting catfish, why I’m up in the lake area instead, it’s because it’s much easier to get perfect catches up here. And I’m all about skid ups right now instead of, you know, making overall profits. The large mount basses aren’t that snow anyway. They sell for pretty good money. Now, we got very lucky later on, and this is a very rare event. This is something I never get. A fairy visited our farm and she is going to dramatically increase the growth rate of a lot of these crops. So, we’re going to get to harvest a lot of these crops either tomorrow or in the next few days, which was really nice. That means we get to pick up an early cauliflower, potato, and other bits and bobs. Level three forging was essential as well because we can make the cookout kit and we got level eight fishing. When I woke up, I saw a crow fly off and destroy one of the crops. That reminded me I need to make a scarecrow. So, we’re going to absolutely make a scarecrow and that will deter all of the crows from coming back again. We had the mats to make that. We’re going to put it down right here just to get the best coverage. If you’re wondering what all those green blocks are, all mods are listed in the description. That is the UI info suite, too. We picked up a book of power. This is our first one. Jackby Nimble Jackby Dick. A permanent plus one to defense. You can only get that from Hing Spot. So, it’s really nice to get it. We also visited the wizard and he is going to teach us the magic of the junimos so we can interact with the community center bundles. I still haven’t made up my mind if I’m going to go the community center route or the Georgia route. I think, you know, to get the best chance of perfection, the Georgia route would make sense because that would allow us to get into Ginger Island super early so we can focus down those golden walnuts and other bits and bobs. But we’ll see how we progress. Now, it was Mer’s birthday today and we got quite lucky with the traveling merchant. We picked up the hot pepper. It was 900 gold, but it’s worth it because it’s a lovely gift for Louiswis and it jumped him right up to three hearts out of 10. So, that’s very important. We also completed the quest how to win friends. We’re now going to go back down to the beach and we’re going to pull up some fishies. I was focusing on sardines as well to make some dishes very soon. Managed to get a diamond with a couple of emeralds in one treasure chest. That was really nice. Now, I’m actually going to sell those because I need a little bit more money right now. And for the rest of the day, we’re just pulling up more fishies. The reason why we spent so much time down there is because we also need to think about the fishing collection. In order to get perfection, you need to capture every fish in the game. So, we just got to be versatile. We met almost 9,000 gold today, primarily from selling fish and a few other bits and bobs. The next day, we’re going to go into the community center and we’re going to donate all of the forgeables to complete the spring foraging bundle. That rewards us with some spring wild seeds, which is very nice. We’re then going to go to the pantry and we’re going to give in the parsnip, the green bean, the cauliflower, and the potato to complete the spring’s crop bundle. The reward, 20 pieces of speed grow. I actually sell this speed grow to be honest because I just needed money. We picked up a help wanted quest for Elliot and because we have over 12,000 gold on us right now. We’re going to purchase the aridium rod. It’s always nice to get that early in the challenge so you have it for the rest of the game. We’re going to make some hash browns. Then we’re going to make some dish of the seas. and we are going to go and fight the legend today. But first, let’s go to Clint and get our copper pickaxe. Now, we had 4,500 gold and we had some copper bars. So, we handed in our axe to Clint to get upgraded to a copper axe. It was now time to fight the legend. Now, this honestly was a very easy legend compared to some of the others you can get. RNG was on our side for this one. It didn’t spurt out too much and I was able to nab it there without too much hassle. Once we picked up the legend, we went back down to Clint and he started processing more geodess for us. The reason why I’m focusing so much on the museum right now is because I don’t want to get screwed over later on in the challenge when I realize I’m missing something very specific and you can only get it from a very specific place. So, the more effort I put into the museum now, the less I have to worry about it later on in the challenge, cuz the last thing we want is to get caught out by one or two artifacts, and they’re just not popping up for us. If we can isolate those artifacts much sooner rather than later, we’ll have the rest of the year to come up with tactics in order to get them or go to, you know, very specific spots every single day and look for hoing spots and look for other things that we can use to get those artifacts. So, that’s why we’re going to the museum so much to give in artifacts and minerals. So, we’re doing more progression in the mines there. We melt down to floor 40, which was nice. Got the slingshot. We’re now just running along trying to make more progression. We got a couple of Skittles. Look what I got the next day. I picked up another Jackby nimble jackp thick. Now, if we activate this, we just get some combat XP, just 100. But you know what? That was enough to get me up to level two combat, which was really nice. We’re then going to ho up the ground. We’re going to make way for more mixed seeds. I might decide to expand on our crops later on. I’ll see how we’re going though. I got a seaweed on the beach today. This is incredibly rare. Unfortunately, you don’t get forgetting to me for picking up the seaweed. I give Willie a leak as part of a help want the quest and I got a prize ticket there because that was the third help wanted the quest that I completed. We’re also going to go to Clint and you guessed it, Clint is going to process more geodess for us. There’s also a chance we can get a prismatic shard out of a geode. Now look, it’s incredibly rare. I don’t even know if you can get out of regular geodess, but you can definitely get omni geodess. But the more geodess we crack open, the better. So we’re definitely off in the right direction here when it comes to donating stuff to the museum. Now, I’m kind of half thinking about if I should go all out and attempt to get into the Desert Festival by day 15. I will play it by ear. At the end of the day, this is all about perfection. The Desert Festival would help, but because I’m not resetting days, I’m not at my best at the moment when it comes to progression. Normally, I’d have way more achieved by now. I’d probably have a better pickaxe. I’d have a better weapon. You know, I’d have more skillups. I’d probably have more money. So, we’ll see how we get on. If we get lucky, maybe if we get a nice couple of drops, we can sell them and get some more cash. We might just jump in and get our feet wet. We made it down to floor 50. We picked up the tundra boots. We also picked up the wood mallet. This is a level three club. It’s much better than that of the wood club. It swings way faster and it does a lot more damage. This is going to make our lives way easier. We could probably use this wood mallet to clear the rest of the regular mine. It’s that good of a weapon. It’s that good. The ground pound, just like all other hammers, will make very short work of a lot of the enemies that you find in the regular mines. On floor 58, we also come across our very first diamond, which is really nice. That’s going to give us 150 mining XP, plus the diamond, of course. We’re going to sell the diamond for money because money is something that we really need right now. I almost made it down to floor 60, but I got caught out on the spiral floor. We got lots of scups today, including mining and combat. And Demetrius paid us a visit the next day to put in either the mushroom cave or the batcave. I selected the mushroom because we’re all about XP at the moment, and the mushrooms are really nice early on for energy and health. Later on, if we accumulate enough mushrooms, we might be able to get some rifle extras as well. Robin will make a fishing pond for us so we can put the legend inside it. And Clint is going to give us back our copper axe. We’re going to use that to get rid of this stump up here. This will allow us to collect another prized ticket. Now, a lot of you are probably wondering, you know, we could sell the legend. That would definitely increase the odds of us unlocking the bus for the desert festival. But trust me on this because we’re going for perfection because it’s going to be a long challenge. You want to be putting that in the fish pond. See, when it comes to Sarah Valley, the trick to time management is having as many passive money makers as possible. And the fish ponds are the ultimate passive money makers. But because this is a perfection challenge, I don’t have any restrictions. I can sell whatever I want. I can build whatever I want to build. So later on, we’re probably going to see combinations of mushroom logs, bee houses, fish ponds, animals, you name it. There’s going to be tons of passive money makers. Now, we done very well with the fishing today. We got lots of goodies in the treasure chests, and we also got the fishes skill of nine, almost 10. So, we’re getting there. We also picked up a new book of power along with four rubies. How lucky was that? The book of power is really nice. It’s called jewels of the sea and it will give a chance to get row of the fish you just captured if you get a fishing treasure chest as well. We also put up some eels and that is the first 10 days. Let me know how you feel about these perfection series. This one was pretty long in length. So I am thinking of kind of making up 20 minutes in length now instead of 10 and 13 minutes. So let me know how it goes. Thanks again everyone for watching. I do really appreciate you a huge shout out to all my channel members. Stay tuned for the next 10 days and we’ll keep going until we complete the first year. Bye for now everyone and I hope you all have a wonderful week. Is it possible to get perfection in just one year? We’re going to find out. Hello everybody, this is Gamergar. Welcome back to another episode of the perfection challenge. We’re going to start with watering up the crops and it is the 11th of spring, so we’re still quite fresh into the challenge. Once the watering of crops is complete, we’re going to make some furnaces. The more furnaces we have, the more bars we can smelt up. And we’re going to need tons of bars if we want to achieve perfection. Then going to take our copper axe and we are going to break open all of these small tree stumps. Once we’re finished with this, we’re going to pay Clint a nice visit and we are going to upgrade our regular copper pickaxe into a steel pickaxe. We’re then going to go to the beach and we are going to do some hoing spots. We’re then going to make a bait maker. And the reason for the bait maker is to allow us to pull up very specific fish for the rest of the challenge. So once we get a couple of largemouth basses, we are going to put those into the bait maker, get back largemount bass bait, and that would allow us to pull up largemouth basses for the rest of the day. Now, you’re not guaranteed largemouth bass each time, but there’s a very, very high chance we will get the large mouth bass one after the next. When it gets into the evening time, we will try our hand at bullheads. And this is just the tip on the iceberg when it comes to using the powers of the bait maker. Wait until we start to do some catfishing. Wait till we get into summer and we get the more exotic fish. So, we got a skill up in forging, which was really nice. We’re now into day number 12. And for the rest of the day, that’s right, we’re going to do even more fishing. We are aiming for the fishing skill of 10. And we just unlocked that today, which is great because we now have maximum fishing. we can get the very powerful fishing perk angler fish worth 50% more. We’re going to go and get the Georgia membership because if we want to get perfection, the Georgia route is the way to go. Especially if you want to achieve everything in year one. The sooner we can get to Ginger Island, the better. And I know a lot of people were hoping for the community center route in the comments in the previous video, but don’t worry folks, we will eventually do a challenge where we have to use the community center to get perfection in year one. I just need a little bit more experience with the community center, but that will happen and it will happen a lot sooner than you think. So, we’re doing more help wanted quests and we’re also collecting all of the mushrooms from the mushroom cave. We do get valuable forging XP for those. For the rest of the day, we’re just going to cut down huge amounts of trees. The sooner we can get forging level five, the better because we can then take the gatherer perk and that would give us a chance to pull up two forge instead of one, giving us more forge, more importantly, double forging XP. Now, the big question is, will we be going to the desert festival on the 15th? We won’t because we just didn’t have enough money or skills accumulated. But it’s not the end of the world if we don’t get into the skull caverns on the 15th, 16th, or 17th. We will have the rest of the year to do as many skull cavern challenges as possible. Now, we are going to go to the Easter event here on the 13th because we want to get strawberry seeds. We need those in order to get perfection. We’re going to sell one for the shipping bin collection and then we’re going to save the rest and we’re going to use them for loved gifts because Maru and Demetrius both love strawberries. And if we can get some gold star strawberries amassed, that’s going to make our lives way easier when it comes to getting friendship points with those NPCs. With the rest of the strawberries, we can just sell those to make a nice profit. We also put our legend into the fish pond. We now have a legend fish pond. And hopefully every couple of days that will give back some legend row, which sells for over 2,000 gold a pop. Once we get our farmers get up even more, we can make reserve jars. We can really, I mean really, get a lot of money from that legend fish pond. We went down to the tide pool area before the day was finished just to get some forgeables. We made a total of 13,381 gold today. Most of that came from selling fish. We also got our first piece of legend ro today, which was nice. We collected some mushrooms inside of the mushroom cave. We’re now going to run around Stu Valley. We’re going to pick up forgeable as we go along. We’re then going to go to George. George was looking for the parnip as part of help the quest. We completed that. We’re also going to give George a leak while we’re here just to get some extra friendship points. We’re then going to talk to Evelyn as well, but we didn’t have any love gifts for her. With the prize ticket, we are going to get 15 pieces of mixed flower seeds. We will plant those back on the farm. We’re going to go to Clint and get back our steel pickaxe. Now, we have 16,000 gold. We’re not finished with Clint. We are going to give him our copper ax and upgrade that to a steel. That means we will be able to get access to the secret woods. So, we will be able to farm hardwood every single day if we so wish. And farming hardwood is something that we’re going to do now much earlier rather than later in the challenge because we have to remember if we want to get to Ginger Island very quickly, we will need tons of hardwood to fix up the boat. Now, we got quite lucky today in the mines. We ended up getting a couple of diamonds, and that was really nice in terms of money and in terms of mining XP. The weapon we’re using right now, the wood mallet, is still a real nice weapon. The ground pound is still very much overpowered for the mid-level enemies of the mines. Now, I’m not too concerned on getting down to floor 120 as quickly as possible. What I’m really after is lots and lots of resources. You also have to take into consideration monster eradication goals. There is a lot to do in order to achieve perfection. Wiping out monsters is one of the many tasks that we need to accomplish. We just picked up the lead rod. That’s a really nice weapon. It has slightly higher base damage than that of the wood club, but it’s a little bit slower. Between the two weapons, the lead rod, I suppose, might be a little bit better if it was a little bit faster. Now, these skeletons we’re starting to encounter because we got into the floor 70s. They have a lot of HP, and they don’t give a whole lot of combat XP when you kill them, but they do drop a few things that can be quite valuable in the early games. For example, they drop bone fragments. It’s always nice to stock up on those earlier rather than later. They have a lot of uses later on in the challenge. There’s also a chance they can drop the bone sword. We just become a bone sword here. Any extra bone swords we get, we can sell to Marlin at the Ventures Guild for 250 gold a piece. So, it’s really nice to get a lot of those. Now, we got quite lucky today with iron deposits. We got a lot of iron today. And a lot of this iron ore will be turned into iron bars. We won’t actually be using most of this to make bombs, believe it or not. We need to use this to make other things. We need to make recycling machines. We need to make crab pots. And the reason why we’re making those things is because we want to have a farm that’s very versatile. We want to have a farm that has a lot of things going on in it to make perfection a lot easier. Now, we end up getting a level up in mining and a level up in combat straight after, which was really nice today. And because we had so many wanted quests done, and because we got so many prize tickets, we activated the event here for Mr. Key to drop mystery boxes. There’s now a chance we can get mystery boxes from all different manner of activities. Level five mining. We’re going to take minor for now. We’re going to get plus one ore every time we break open the node. We got find 1,000 gold for passing out in the mines. But you know what? It was worth it because we made some pretty good progression. The next day though was really nice because we can harvest all these lovely forgeables and we can use all these forgeables to make even more wild seeds. Now, we’re not going to plant most of those. We will plant some. We’ll sell some and then we’ll keep some of the forgeables as well for love gifts. Because today was raining, I didn’t have to water up all the crops, which is really nice. We also had 13,000 gold. But we’re going to go straight back into the mines because I wanted to get a lot more skill ups in combat and mining, and this is the best place to do it. We can now get access to gold ores. And we are going to need hundreds gold bars for many of the stuff that we need to make. We picked up the genie shoes as well. They’re actually really nice for the immunity. They give something like five or six immunity, but they only give a plus one to defense. And I will always prioritize defense over immunity any day of the week. On floor 90, we picked up the Obsidian Edge and we switch to that weapon straight away. And this will be the weapon of choice unless we get something more exotic from the chest down here. A tempered broadsword would be nice. Maybe even a steel falcon. Now, we do get quite lucky in the next few days and we pick up a fierce nice weapon, but I’m not going to ruin it right now. You’re all going to have to guess in terms of what we’re going to get, but the weapon that we do get is really nice and it comes with a very powerful enchant. The squid kits are always such a nice enemy to defeat. They get 15 XP upon defeat and it’s just one hit to destroy them. We also got a new book of power here known as the monster compendium and that gives a very small chance for enemies to drop double the loot when they are defeated. So, it’s always nice to get that earlier rather than later. Now, we ended up getting very lucky on 496. And we got yet another diamond. And most of these diamonds, believe it or not, we’re actually selling them. I’m not actually accumulating them for triple shot espressos just yet because I’m still at a stage where I’m not happy with the amount of money that I have. I want to unlock the bus. I want to get into the skull caverns. So, I’m now at that stage where I just want to accumulate lots of money. But, there’s other things I also want to get. I also want to get the fish smoker. If we can get that early, we can more or less double the profits of fish that we get every single day. And because we’re going into the mines now most days, we do have a lot of code accumulated. We end up getting the holy blade, which is written that comes with an enchant called crusader. It does bonus damage against undead enemies. That will actually come in very handy when we go to Skgar when we’re fighting mummies. Now, that is of course if you haven’t picked up anything better before them. When I got down to 104, I end up getting tons of cave cards, which was nice. Level five combat took fighter all attacks to 10% more damage. And we also picked up the steel axe of Clint. Now, with the steel axe, we’re going to break open that large tree stump. And with the steel pickaxe, we’re going to break open the large stone. Just to the right of Clint’s house, we’re now going to get a new book of power called the alleyway buffet. And this increases the chances of us getting items from trash cans. It just makes the trash cans a little bit more lucrative. We’re also picking up salmon berries from the bushes as well. We’re going to get the final backpack upgrade for 10,000 gold. It’s better to just get that now and get it out of the way. Just means I’m not throwing away a lot of valuable resources picking up in the mines. We get another level up in mining. We come across a lot of emerald nodes today. They’re not as good as diamond nodes, but they do yield 80 mining XP when you break one open. And you can set emeralds for I think it’s 250 gold a pop. On floor 110, we get to space boots, and they’re the best boots you can get, more or less, before you get to Ginger Island. I used a charity bomb to blow up a huge cluster of gold nodes. It was just a sight to behold. I got tons of gold ores from it, and they got tons of mining XP. Before we knew it, we met it under floor 20 in the regular mines. We picked up the skull key. Now, the reason why I picked this up is because enemies now have a chance to drop prismatic shards. It’s a very low chance, but you never know. Any enemy in the mines has a chance on dropping it. Sure, the enemies are harder to kill, but we had a fairly good weapon. We got more skin-ups today. Level six mining means we can make regular bombs. That’s something we might make in the next couple of days. More legend row means more profits for me. 5,000 gold right there. And that’s why we went with the fishing pond early and we didn’t sell the legend because the money we’re going to make from that pond far outweighs the money we would have made selling the legend when we first got it. If it was a spring challenge only, I probably would have sold it. But because it’s a one-year challenge, it’s good to accumulate lots of fish pots. Because we had to steal that, we can get rid of all these large tree stumps all around the farm. We’re also going to visit Gunther here in the museum. And we are going to donate even more items we picked up from the mines. It’s absolutely worth donating all these items early on because we also need all of the rare crows if we want to make the deluxe scarecrow. That’s something we also have to think about. And there’s a handful of rare crows you can get from donating all of the items in the museum. Not to mention a star drop that we also need for perfection. So, there’s multiple reasons why we want to get this done sooner rather than later. That marble I got, I was thinking of keeping it and putting it into a crystalarium, guaranteeing me a, you know, a second marble because we need that to make a blazer later on, but I ended up just donating it. I surely will come across at least one more marble later on in the challenge. Hopefully, it’s a choice I don’t come to regret. Could you imagine us failing progression or having to buy a percentage because we couldn’t get another marble? It would actually be funny and sad at the same time. Now, because we have our fishing skill maxed out, it doesn’t mean we’re going to stop fishing. We are going to absolutely fish. We’re going to use that level 10 perk to the best of our abilities. Eventually, I will get the fish smoker and we can start smoking up all these largemouth basses. We can start smoking up all of the bullheads. And if we get rainy days, we can spend the whole day just putting up catfish and we can start smoking those up as well. And then we’re going to see some serious money come through. We made a lot of money today. You know, we had a lot of large mount bascot, lot of bullheads, some carpon there as well. If we take a look at the mining stuff, we got diamonds, lots of gold bars. Gold bars are really nice in the early days. Obsidian, jasper, those things have already been donated. So any spare ones we get, we just sell them. in terms of monster parts, solder essences, slimes, bat wings, white essences. Eventually, we will have to accumulate a lot of those to make certain items in the game, but we have the whole year for that. For now, we’re just going to sell lots of stuff and get lots of money. It was actually Pam’s birthday today, and I had a gold star parsnip. Pan loves those. It got her right up to three hearts. Pam would give us a recipe note the next day for that. I also went to Gus and I picked up a spaghetti. Reason being, we’re making our way up to Robins with her last ax. would be nice to give her a loved gift. While we’re up here, we also gave Gus a green algae because he wanted one as part of a help wanted quest. So, that was one step closer to getting another prize ticket. Now, we got very lucky here with Sam. He wanted a diamond as part of help wanted quest. That’s the most profitable Help Wanted quest you can get. You get back 2,250 gold. With the prize ticket, we’re going to get more mystery boxes. If we get one more prize ticket, we can pick up the star drop tea and that will be used on some NPC’s birthday, especially an NPC where we can give them maybe a gold star loved gift just to more or less max them out or almost max them out. The more NPCs we can give max out now, the better. So, we’re back in the mines. We’re in the mid tier. We’re focusing on iron ores. We’re focusing on jade. There’s a chance you can get jades from killing slimes. We’re also focused on monster eradication goes. The dust sprites does take quite some time, but the more dust sprites we kill in the early days, the less we have to kill in the later days. We do have to kill 500 of these. Now, because this is a perfection run, there is no restrictions. That means I can go all out once I get all of the masteries. And there’s a real cool combat build I will be using later on where we can use the burglar ring, we can use the hot jabber ring, we can use the parrot, and basically we’re just going to go around with a monster musk wiping out monsters left, right, and center. and the items that we’re going to get from that we can sell to make huge amounts of money. I’m going to show you in this video how profitable combat can actually be. Mastery was just a fantastic rebalance of the whole game. Not only did it make farming even more overpowered, but it made all of the other professions extremely powerful as well. And not just in the money-making category. That wood cutters weekly was an absolute magnificent drop from wiping out those dust sprites that give me 250 XP towards foraging. And that’s the bonus of cutting down a huge amount of trees. It’s always nice to get skill books when we go and fight enemies. These infested floors were an absolute godsend. The more enemies I get to fight, the better. So, we get level three farming at the end of day. We can now make bee houses. And when I unlocked the recipe for the bee house, it hit me quite hard and I realized I didn’t have any sort of toppers put down yet. I didn’t have any tree farms made. So, we are going to take the time to put down some trees because we want to get oak resins. We want to get pine tars. And of course, we want to get map syrups as well. So, we’re going to go to Pier here now. And we are going to purchase some kale. I need to make some money. I mean, lots of money. So, I thought to myself, 200 pieces of kale should be doable. I could have bought way more, but if I bought more, I’d spend the whole day watering, and we don’t want that. I went to Clint. I picked up my gold axe. We’re now going to hand in our sealed pickaxe and upgrade that to a gold pickaxe. Now, we can’t upgrade those any further. We will have to do skull carbon runs, but it is nice to have gold tools much earlier rather than later. Once we’re finished with the axe and the pickaxe, we’ll go through the rest of them as per usual. The watering can, the hoe, and of course the pan when we pick that up as well. We’re going to go to Willie and buy the fish smoker. This is going to dramatically increase profits we make from fishing. I gave Haley a daffin as well because when I get more friendship points up with her. Jod gave me a quest to give her the cauliflower. So, I give her one and I give her an additional cauliflower just to get some friendship points up with her as well. We’re now back on the farm and I used my site to get lots of unmilled rice. I’m just going to sell this raw. If I had a mill, I could have turned it into rice, but you can just buy it from here as well. I sold the unmilled rice just to make some extra money, but I think we also need to sell it for the shipping collection as well. We’re then going to spend the rest of the day hoing up the ground and planting kale. This is going to be a big project, but it is going to pay off so well and it’s going to give us a lot of farming XP. It would be nice to go into summer with the ability to make quality sprinklers. Once we get the quality sprinklers down, we can eventually cover the whole farm with them and then we can start purchasing thousands upon thousands of crops because we also need to get the gold clock. Now, someone mentioned that it was cheaper to, you know, buy 10% of perfection rather than spend 10 million gold to get the gold clock that gives you 10%. Just so we’re all clear, I want to get as much natural progression as possible when it comes to achieving perfection. So, I will absolutely be aiming to purchase the go clock with all of the warp oblisks. I went to the saloon today. I gave Clint an amethyst. He loves those. I then spoke with Gus. I purchased two beers, a salad, and I also purchased a spaghetti along with a coffee. And the reason why I’m getting these, I also got the pizza there as well, is because these are all loved gifts for people. Now, I didn’t want to buy too much cuz I didn’t have huge amounts of money, but because everybody was here, or most people were here except Harvey, I thought it was just a good idea to start giving lots of love gifts out now to get those extra friendship points. And it’s going to pay off real well. I’m also going to visit Marlin, and I’m going to sell him all of the items I’m never going to use again. all of the weapons I’m not going to use, all of the boots I’m never going to use. It just means that I have a lot more inventory slots in my chests, and I made a little bit of money as well from selling stuff that’s actually useless right now. I also went down into the secret woods as well, and we are going to wipe out all of these lovely tree stumps for forging XP and for hardwood. There’s also a chance we can get mahogany seeds from that as well. I made some recycling machines with my iron bars. So, we’re going to make five of those in total because we have lots of trash accumulated for all the fishing we’ve been doing. The next day was raining, but the day after is also a rainy day. So, we got extremely lucky here with that 200 kale that we planted. I also got 500 pieces of gold off the mayor, which is really nice. Now, all of those iron bars that I’m collecting, they’re going to be used to make even more stuff, including crab pots. I also needed wood to make crab pot pods as well. So, I spent a good deal of time this morning just cutting down lots of trees to get lots of wood. While I was cutting down trees, those furnaces were smelting up more iron bars for me. I had a lot of iron accumulated so I can make lots of iron bars, no problem at all. I was also very close to getting forging level six. We do want to get forging seven as quickly as possible cuz then we can make three fertilizers and we can start making lovely tree farms. Gold axe was really paying off in terms of time and energy. It just took a handful of swings. Not as good as the aridium, but still I was cutting down trees very quickly. So, I made lots of crab pots. I then went to Caroline, gave her a daffodil as part of help on the quest. Give her another daffodil because it’s a light gift. I got 90 gold there, but I’m not really after the money for those quests. It’s more so for the friendship points. Now, I was hoping for some snails today in the crab pots, but we weren’t that lucky. We got lots of crayfish and other bits and bobs. We can sell all those. I’m going to put a lot more crap pots down by the beach so we can get more items down here, including lobster. And guess who loves lobster? That’s right, our good friend Elliot is a huge lobster fan. I also went down to the tide pools because today is Saturday and we want to collect all of the forgeables before they reset back into the Sunday. We got lots of sea urchins and lots of cores. Now, I’m happy enough with one bait maker. You don’t really need more than one, so we’re just going to sell all those. Now, we will eventually start accumulating those, too, because you do need those to make certain recipes in the game later on, including a warp obelisk to the beach. Once we were finished with harvesting all of the stumps in the secret woods, we went up to the lake and we started pulling up way more fish. We then went down and we gave Shane a bear because it was his birthday. And that got Shane right up the tree hearts, which was pretty nice. For the rest of the evening, we went down to do some fishing. We got some catfish. We’re going to sell those, but I might just keep one to put into a bait maker. so we can abuse the catfish the next day. And I’m telling you right now, we’re going to abuse those level six foraging. And that is the end of another let’s play episode. I really hope you enjoyed this one. Thanks everyone for watching. I hope you have a great week and I’ll see you in the next episode. Bye for now. Is it truly possible to obtain perfection in just one year? Let’s find out. Hello everybody. This is Gamergar. Welcome back to another episode of the perfection series. We are now entering the final week of spring and what a week this is going to be. Because we’re working a lot with friendships, we’re getting some recipes from a lot of the star NPCs, which is great. We’re going to sell some more strawberries and blue jazz. We’re going to keep a lot of the ghost dark crops for loved gifts later on. The help wanted quests are still extremely important. Demetrius is looking for the copper bar. Now, because today was a rainy day, we are going to use this to full effect. We are going to basically pick up a huge amount of catfish today. I think we get at least 50 catfish today. Thanks to the efforts of the bait maker. Catfish bait gives you an extremely I mean extremely high chance to hook up a catfish every time you span that rod into the water. Now, we’re not going to sell these catfish directly. We’re going to smoke them up first and then we are going to sell them. Now, the first thing we need, of course, is a smoker. So, we need to amass jellies. this week, specifically cave jellies. We have lots of jellies from the ocean. We have lots of jellies from the river. We don’t have any cave jellies right now. So, we just got farming level four. We can make the preserved jar. This is a huge boon to us because we can now put our legend row into that and we can get a much better profit for it. With over 50 catfish, that’s coming in at 22,500 gold. We could sell it and get loads of gold today, but we’re not. We’re going to smoke up every single catfish, and we are going to double that value. All of the other fish will be sold, you know, like the crab pot fish, the shads, things like that. We are getting quite a lot of money because we’re passing out, but it doesn’t really matter because that extra hour that we used to get fish well exceeds over 1,000 gold. Now, we are going to get some forging none today. All of these leaks, dandelions, daffodils, horse radishes, some of them will be sold. A lot of them will be kept and used as loved gifts. If you take a look at that pink chest that we have there, that chest is going to have one function, and that is to hold loved gifts for all of the Ster Valley NPCs, it just makes it easy for me to stack it up with things. And then every time we have some free downtime or when a new week starts, we can take all of the love gifts out, run around the valley, and just start gifting everyone left, right, and center. So, we just went to Clint. We picked up our gold pickaxe. We’re now going to give Clint the watering can, and we’re going to upgrade that to at least a cop. We might upgrade it again to a steel. It would be nice to have a good watering can going into Ginger Island. We’re then going to head up here and we’re going to fish up four chubs in total as part of a help wanted quest. And it’s very important we keep doing the quest because you get some really nice things from the prize ticket machine. Now, for the rest of the day, we’re heading up to the mines. We’re on floor 100. All we want here are cave jellies. We don’t get the best of luck today, and the majority of things we do fish up are trash. Now, we do get the odd lava eel here and there. And this makes coming up here worth it because if we smoke up a lava eel, we’re going to get a lot of money. We’re going to get at least 3,000 gold for lav eel. We came out with one cave jelly today, which was unfortunate. I was going to reset the day, but I said no. I did promise myself that I wouldn’t reset any days in this challenge, so we’re not going to do that. We make one fish smoker, and we make two preserved jars. We can now start smoking up catfish and double their value. We also paid Willie a visit because we fished up Fort Chubs yesterday. He gave us a price ticket for that. We’re now going to head on over to the river here and we’re going to spend the rest of the day fishing up lovely catfish. We have the bait maker and the fish smoker right next to us. So, they’re going to be used if we need them. The bait maker of course will be used if we run out of catfish bait and the smoker will be used every time it’s off cool down. So, we’re going to end up with lots of smoked catfish today as well as natural catfish. Now, if you’re wondering why we’re doing so much fishing is because we need money badly. We need money for the Georgia development projects to get to Ginger Island. We need money for staff route in summer. So, fishing in my opinion is one of the best ways to get that done in the early games. So, we’re just going to the flower dance today. We picked up a tub of flowers recipe along with the rare crow. This leaves us with 16,000 gold. I had a choice between Haley and Shane. I’m going to go with Haley this time around because it’s really easy to get loved gifts for Shane. You can just get him bear all the time. So that’s an extra heart with Haley who’s got an achievement there. New friends. So I believe that is now Haley up on five hearts out of eight, which is really good. To be honest, most of the Stu Valley NPCs have love gifts that are fairly easy to obtain. The hardest by far though is Pierre. Pierre is quite difficult. There is no kind of loved gifts you can just forage or, you know, pick up off the ground to give to him. One of his love gifts is a fried calamari. You need squid to make that. So, when it comes to Pier’s birthday in a few days, we’ll actually give him the star drop tea to dramatically boost friendship. Now, we didn’t go to bed after the flower dance. We did some more fishing. We picked up a few more cave jellies, which was nice. Let’s take a look at all the money we made. Three smoked lava eels that committed over 9,000 gold. It’s really nice to get that. We also have a lot of smoked catfish, which I’m going to show in the next picture here. We’ve got 14 smoked catfish coming in at 12,600. And we have a lot more catfish in a chest that need to be smoked. If you’re wondering why some of the crab pot items are silver star, it’s because we’re using deluxe bait instead of regular bait. The next day was the 25th. It was a glorious day. We get some coffee beans. We get to harvest some strawberries. But look at all this kale we get to harvest with our lovely sight. There’s about 200 pieces of kale right there we get to harvest. Not only are we going to get tons of money from selling this kale, but we are going to get lots of skiups as well. And these skillups are very important because I wanted level six farming for quite some time now. So I can make quantity sprinklers. We can now automate the watering process. That’s going to come in very handy now for summer when we start planting star fruit and other bits and bobs. We also went to Clint. We got our copper watering can. But we’re not finished. We have 43,000 gold and we’ve got bars. So we’re now going to hand in the hoe and upgrade that to a copper hoe. We’re then going to go to Morris and it’s now finally time to get the first Georgia development project, which is the bus for 40,000 gold. That brought us right down to 1,800 gold. So, yet again, our money is quite low, but because we sold all that kale, we will have lots of money tomorrow. So, not to worry. The copper watering can is nice. We can water up three slots at once. The mushroom cave is still turning out to be a real good choice because if we get, for example, five common mushrooms and we dry them out, we’re getting back a super mushroom. If we get purple mushrooms, I don’t really save them up. I just eat them as I go along because the purple mushrooms give so much energy. We are getting through our catfish slowly but surely. We’re also going to get into the secret woods here as well, and we’re going to farm up these stumps. Hardwood is something that’s still needed badly. We used up a little bit of hardwood to make those fish smokers. We need to keep the rest of it now so we can repair the boat to Ginger Island. We should actually have all of the projects done. Believe it or not, within the next few days, if we can keep a solid line of money coming into the farm, between the kale that we sold and the catfish that we get to smoke up, we should be okay for the next week or so. Now, we got very lucky in the secret woods today. There was lots of forgeables. The green slimes occasionally can drop mahogany seeds, and if we do get mahogany seeds, we will plant them straight away. Now, I decided to focus more on foraging today. So, I’m going to cut down a huge amount of trees until I get foraging number seven. We also picked up a Woody’s secret book of power. This is actually amazing to get earlier rather than later. It gives you a very small chance that trees will yield double the wood and that includes the mahogany trees as well and the tree stumps. It’s 5% chance, but you would be very surprised how often it actually activates. Now, we ended up getting huge amounts of wood today as well. And to be fair, regular wood was something that we also needed because if we’re going to start fruit without, we’re going to need thousands upon thousands of wood to make kegs. And that’s something we’ll be putting a lot more time into as well over the next couple of weeks. The spring onions are always a godsend in spring cuz once you accumulate so many of them, you can eat them for huge amounts of energy. Now, we’re probably not going to get, you know, all skills maxed out in spring, but it would be nice to get them all maxed out within the first one or two weeks of summer, so we can jump straight into the mastery tiers. Regarding the very first mastery we’re going to go with, I’m not too sure right now. I might go with fishing, maybe if we can get our hands on some magic bait earlier rather than later. It would especially be nice to get some extended family key quest later on, but that’s way ahead in the challenge. For now, let’s just focus on cutting down these trees and getting into skull cavern and getting some aridium moores and prismatic shards. After the boss has been upgraded, we can now do skull caverns as much as we want. Level five farming for now would take till crops for 10% more. Now that I look back on what I have done, it probably would have been a good idea to keep the kale and set it to Pierre directly the next day to get that extra 10%. Because there was so much kale there, I probably would have made a few more thousand gold. Level seven forging was very nice though because that gives us the tree fertilizer and now we can start massing up tree farms. We met almost 50,000 gold. Let’s break it down. The big fees there came from the kale of course and we had bits and pieces of strawberries. In terms of fishing, we have a lot of smoked fish. 23 smoked catfish and we have a smoked lava eel thrown in there as well. So, it was really nice to get that kind of money now, especially coming into the end of spring. We can now unlock more Georgia development projects and we’ll have a little bit of money left over for Starfruit. So, we’re going to pay Mayor Lewis a visit today. We’re going to get that lovely star drop tea. That star drop tea will be used on P year. So, in terms of giving Pier gifts, we’re going to give him a gold star daffodil for the birthday gift for the first one. That’s going to put him up to two hearts. And then we’re going to give him the star drop te that’s going to put him up to five. The star drop tea gives 750 friendship points on a birthday. So, that’s basically three hearts, which is what I love about the Star Trop TE’s. We’re now going to get Clint to process some geodess and we’re going to process some mystery boxes as well. There’s some really nice stuff you can get from the mystery boxes. Bombs were really nice and I got 10 pieces of hardwood as well. I was really happy with that. We’re then going to go to the museum with all of the new artifacts that we have. We’re going to donate those. We’re actually making really good progress in the museum right now. I reckon if we keep this pace up before we know it, we’ll have access to the sores and we can talk to the lovely Crobus. We’re going to go with the minecarts for the next project. It’s the cheapest project by far and getting the fast travel is always nice to save lots and lots of time. Now, we’re going to be doing skull cavern runs on the 27th and the 28th. So, we’re going to spend today in the regular mines farming up as much iron ores as possible. And all of the iron ores we get today, the great majority of them will be used to make bombs. If we come across dust sprites, we will eliminate them as well for multiple reasons. The main reason, of course, is because they drop coal, but also we need to think about the monster eradication goals. So, this all counts towards that. Picking up diamonds today will be saved for triple shot espressos when we talk to the traveling cart the next day. The rubies will be saved for spicy eels. Now, any skillups we get today will be a bonus, of course. We have a very nice combat level for the skull caverns. Level six isn’t bad, and we have a fairly good mining skill as well. We also have a gold pickaxe. Now, the gold isn’t strong enough to one-shot regular mining nodes in the snow caverns. It would still take two swings, but the reason why I went for the gold is because I only have one more upgrade to do to get the original. And because I had the money at the time in the bars, I said, we might as well get the upgrades done now rather than later. Because what I find is that once you have all your tools fully upgraded, progression, it just becomes way easier and you can save so much time as well when it comes to whether you’re mining up the ground or cutting down trees. The Ridium tools make it so that you have a much greater chance to get where you want to go in terms of progression. Now, floor 67 was an invested floor, and we actually hit this floor multiple times today because of the sheer amount of enemies that was on it. My only regret is that I don’t have a stronger weapon. Now look, this holy blade is good for undead enemies, but when it comes to the dust sprites, when it comes to the frost limes, it was only all right. If I had a galaxy weapon, I could have made way better use of that room. Mars is now repairing up the traveling carts for us, which is great. We get level six combat, which is nice, and level seven mining. So, it was a good day. The next day starts with a collection of aged catfish row. And the reason why I got that was because of the book of power jewels of the sea. And it just means more money for us. We weren’t getting any legend road today, which was unfortunate. And we also got build 1,000 gold for passing out. But you know what? That 1,000 gold doesn’t really bother us anymore because we have so much money. And I would rather spend the extra few hours in the evening trying to get more XP or, you know, trying to make more progression than going to bed early. We are going to make a total of 48 tree fertilizers. I didn’t need 48 right now, but it’s always good to just have it on standby. We are going to fertilize up all these trees. Once these trees are fully grown, we will tap the whole lot of them except the mahogany trees. We’re just going to cut them down for extra hardwood. Those mahogany trees will ensure that we have enough hardwood to fix up the boat. Now, the hardwood is just one component. We still need five battery packs and five aridium bars. Hence why we’re doing Scott Cavern runs over the next 2 days. I gave Pam a gold star parip my way into the Georgia Mart. It was time for another development project. Now, I was kind of on the fence about should I spend money to unlock another project or should I save my money to get even more staff route. But you know what? We’re going to get 10,000 gold if we make it past floor 30. And I still had more catfish to smoke up. So, I was fairly confident in my ability to make lots of money from today until the 1st of summer, which would allow me to get lots of starf fruit. It was Emily’s birthday. She got an amethyst, and we also paid Clint to visit. We got the copper hole. We’re now going to hand in the watering can again and upgrade that to a steel watering can. It was then off to Gus to get some salads because we needed some healabs of course for the skull cavern run. Then it was straight off to the desert to begin our skull cavern adventure. For troubleshot espressos, we are going to trade in some diamonds and for spicy eels, we’re going to trade in some rubies. I had a nice healthy supply of bombs, salads, and I had a fairly decent weapon and pickaxe. Now, the weapon isn’t great against serpents, and it won’t be great against slimes, but it will be also super effective against the likes of ghosts and mummies. Now, on the very first floor, I was met with a diamond. I decided to hang around, wipe out the enemies, and claim that lovely diamond because it’s just so hard to ignore them, especially this early in the challenge. When I was on floor number two, this was what I call an undead floor, so it was filled up with mummies and ghosts. This is where the holy blade shines because we do extra damage against these enemies. What’s more, once the mummies have been defeated, we don’t have to blow them up with bombs. They just die. So once their HP goes to zero, they just disintegrate. That’s what I love about this weapon. Now, we got very lucky with holes today. And if you end up getting two or more holes on the same level, it doesn’t matter which hole you pick, they will all bring you down the exact same level. Just so you know, we went down 11 levels there, which was pretty significant. I was hoping for a lucky running in one of these chests or some sort of a weapon upgrade, but it wasn’t meant to be. Now, we didn’t have the greatest defense right now, and my health was below half. As a rule of thumb, I will always take a salad or some sort of healable before I jump down into the next floor. You never know what you’re going to meet. Sometimes you could jump down, there could be nothing. Sometimes there could be a few enemies. Other times, it could be about five or six serpents ready to ruin your day. It was so satisfying to just attack all these mummies at once and just watch them all die without using bombs. Each one was giving me 20 combat XP as well. When I got down to floor 20, I was swarmed with bats. I I mean, it wasn’t like two or three bats. There must have been about 15 or 20 of them. And it was just so nice to wipe them all out and get all the bat wings. I was still getting lots and lots of holes I could go down. Now, look, some holes weren’t great. They might give you maybe two or three floors. Some would give you eight. On the rare occasion, you might get 11. But you know what? It was much better than a staircase. the fact that we got lots of holes, I didn’t come out with a whole lot of aridium oores. So, I left a little bit early to go to the desert merchant. I got some troubleshot espressos. I got some more spicy eels, but I also picked up some warp totems to the desert by trading in omni geodess. It just means I don’t have to wait until the bus, you know, until 10:00 if I want to just got caverns from 600 or 7:00 in the morning. I can do just that. I got Mars to fix up the bridge here. We can now enter into the quarry. The quarry will be put to great use in this challenge. Once we get rid of all the resources in the quarry, it’ll more than likely end up being a huge tapper farm. So, we’re going to have, you know, oak resins, maple syrups, pine ts, all of that in the quarry. So, if we ever need any of those things, we know where to go. We’re now on the last day of spring and we’re getting through the catfish. There’s still a, you know, a good few catfish left to smoke up. We’re going to make some quality sprinklers. We had the gold bars, the iron bars. We had a lot of refined quartz. Believe it or not, most of my refined quartz came from the recycling machine, which was really nice. We’re going to put down these quality sprinklers. I’m just not going to bother water any crops today. There’s there’s really very little point. I know I have some coffee beans there as well, but look, the sprinklers will get them eventually. Once I was finished putting down the sprinklers, I popped the warp totem. I went straight down to the scout caverns. Now, the start of this run, it wasn’t great. I’ve had way better starts. I wasn’t happy only for the fact that I pick up an early prismatic shard. I would have been very very tempted to reset today. And I I promised myself I wouldn’t do resets because I just want to see if you played through one whole year without resets, what’s actually possible. When I got that prismatic shard, I left Scott Cavern straight away. I wasn’t down that deep and I swapped it in for the Galaxy Sword. It was now time to go back in with a much better weapon to see how much progress we could make. And I have to say, despite the fact that the Galaxy Sword didn’t have the Crusader Enchant, so we would have to detonate the mummies, the sheer attack power upgrade was enough for me to comfortably make very short work of all of the enemies here. It made the run far more enjoyable, I have to say. Now, it was almost 4:00 and we were only on floor 7, but I started getting some real good luck here. And it all started with that rabbit’s foot. That’s going to come in very handy now for a loved gift. I might even sell it actually, you know, for the for the collection later on. But we’ll see anyway how we go. The rabbit’s foot is a universal loved gift bar one of the star valley NPCs. It’s also worth noting too that if I want to increase my odds to max out all of the Star Valley NPC friendships, a coupe filled up with rabbits is the way to go. So during summer, it’s not just going to be a farm filled up with star fruit. It’s going to be a fairly balanced farm, but it will be dominated by star fruit. But we’re now going to have to look at getting a coupe, a barn, and some other bits and bobs as well, just so we can get all of those items needed for perfection because the less perfection we have to buy, the better. We got very lucky today. We mined open another prismatic shard. That one will be given to Gunther. I know I could keep them, trade them in for magical rockies, but we’re all about completion. And I already traded in the first one for the Galaxy weapon. This one would be given to Gunther. Absolutely. Now, I ended up fighting a dinosaur on 63 and luck just prevailed once more. We got a dinosaur egg again. We could save this one, put it into a coupe, but you know what? We’re going to be doing a way more skull cavern runs. We’re going to come across way more dinosaur eggs. They’re not that common if you absolutely abuse the skull cavern on your first year. So, we’ll give that one into Gunther. And if we get any future dinosaur eggs, we might turn the next one maybe into a dinosaur mayonnaise. And then we’ll sell the next one. And that’s basically it then with all the dinosaur eggs. And if we end up getting the movie theater, there’s a chance you could get a dinosaur egg in the grain game. So I’m not too worried about dinosaur eggs to be fair. We also have to get the monster eradication goal for dinosaurs. Surely a few eggs will be dropped between those kill counts. So we are now finished the month of spring. Let’s look at the money we made today. We met 5,000 gold. Couple of smoked catfish there. We are now in the first of summer. This is where we’re going to leave the challenge. 10,000 gold from Mr. Key was nice. It puts us up to a nice healthy 43,000 gold we can spend on staff with maybe a few other bits and bobs. We have some catfish left over as well. A lot of catfish actually. So, I’m now thinking to myself, will I just sell those catfish just for the extra boost on the first day of summer? Thanks everyone for watching. Huge shout out to my channel members. I’ll see you all very soon in the next Stardu Valley challenge.
