I Finally Played Terraria Wrath Of The Gods

Now, before we begin, I want to let you know that this mod comes with a pretty big warning about photo sensitivity. If you do have photo sensitivity, I would advise maybe skip today’s video. Right, so with the warning out the way for a while now, I’ve been hearing very good things about a mod called Wrath of the Gods. It’s a DLC add-on for the Calamity mod that adds a story that spans the whole span of the mod. Really, I think it starts after Skeletron and goes all the way until the end after you’ve defeated the final boss. And then once you’ve defeated the final boss, there is a couple of boss fights that are apparently very very incredible. I am very excited about today. This is a a first for me really. I’ve never played an add-on to a to a mod before. I can’t believe really that we’re living in times where big mods are getting DLC packs. Like that’s really cool. Modding has come a long way for Terraria. From what I know though, we have to defeat Skeletron. So that’s going to be my first mission. When two of these platforms can reach each other horizontally, they connect, projecting walkable light. This light can be only be destroyed by breaking one of the platforms, it generates platforms within 220. Wow, that is so cool. Uh, all right. What’s this one? Oh, I almost got that right. Cool. Yeah. H I’ve been looking around, but there doesn’t seem to be much of note except for this. This frozen artifact appears to be some sort of seed. Furthermore, it has incredible magic potential. I can sense it. I’m not sure what it could be used for, but I’d recommend taking it and holding on to it for later. Will do. Good. As for me, I’ll give this some thought. I’m sure we could do great things with this seedling. Either way, I’ll be taking my leave. I think this place is rather small. Wow. Rather small. You live in a tent. This is not adding up. Wrath of gods. My immersion. It’s It’s broken. Right. So the item we got is called the frost blessed seedling. A cold magical sprout from perafrost keep must be planted on grass. If nurtured correctly, its limitless potential will be unlocked. There you go. Oh. Oh, is this okay? Is it all right? Uh the ground is a little infected now. Oh, it’s growing stuff. Look at that. It’s a little garden. Very nice. Now, I think that that is it in terms of like content pre-Moon Lord. I think I need to be like way past Moon Lord for the next bit, but if anything pops up, I will let you know. Oh, there we go. Uh, is that actually the Moon Lord down? What was the What was the health bar at the bottom about? That really was it? Oh, one of these days I want to set up and enjoy a picnic. As we can both plainly see, things are not as they used to be. I knew that rift would be bad news. Maybe this is why I was brought here. Regardless, it certainly will not be going away anytime soon. What now then? Do you remember that ceiling we found in the keep that I asked you to hold on to? What about it? It is weak now, but holds almost limitless magic potential. If we can harness this power and turn it to the sky, it should be able to destroy the rift for good. But in order to achieve this, we need the help of similar magical artifacts. We shall call this construction the genesis. In the meantime, I’ll consult whatever magical resources I can find in this pursuit. I’d recommend you continue your endeavors as usual. Just have uh sorry, you have a knack for encountering the obscure. That will definitely come in handy. Okay, cool. Amazing. What is that? Wait a minute. No, wait. Oh, is that the rift? Providence is uh is done. Wow. Very fancy. Now, this doesn’t seem to have affected the rift, which is interesting because from what I read, that was like the the next milestone. I’m glad you’re here. I have something important that we should talk about. What is it? I’ve consulted various old texts originating from the dungeon and have learned that a sealed rift contained within may contain something of interest. This rift is a gateway to somewhere else. I’m not entirely sure where. Furthermore, the script suggests that the ancient inhabitants of the dungeon stored something extremely powerful near the entrance at the other side of the rift. I’m certain it will be of value in constructing the Genesis. Fair enough. How can I be of help? From what I can tell, in order to explore beneath the rift, its protective seal will need to be destroyed. I ask that you draw it out. Once the rift is stabilized, I will do my part. Join you in the dungeon and explore within. Are you up to the task? I am. How do I draw it out? Thank you. I appreciate your help immensely. I read that there is a certain prof, as the text say, evoke the rift. Right. Okay. I I guess it’s that I’m unsure which room they’re referring to exactly, but seeking out profane artifacts similar to those deep in the underworld would likely be a sensible starting point. Good luck. I find any boss where there’s a circle attack just extra difficult. Don’t know why. It just is what it is. Right. So, the rift is here. I defeated the ceaseless void and a rift appeared. Wait, defeated? You have to do combat. Oh gosh. Are you all right? Yeah, I’m fine. Yeah, it didn’t take me like 10 attempts. Don’t worry about it. Thank goodness. I suppose then I’ll meet you in the dungeon. I’ll be able to find the rift on my own. Once we’re there, I’ll step inside and see what’s within. This has all been rather dangerous. Are you sure about this, Solin? I must do this. But still, I appreciate your concern. It means a lot to me. I suppose all there is to do is step inside. Are you sure you’re ready? Yeah, I am. I don’t know, but I’m alive at least. I entered the rift and immediately got this overwhelming dread. It was like I didn’t belong there. Nothing strange happened until I took the artifact. See you around. Right. So, that is, let me look at it here. Yeah, it’s another seed. The anti-seed. An ancient seedling that was sealed away in the mysterious rift in an act of protection. Must be planted on grass. Its powers may combined with the frost bless ceiling when placed near it. Right. So, we have to put this over here with the last seed. Uh, oh, that is ominous. Oh, wow. So, it’s basically like uh it’s powering up the the previous seed as well. This is so cool. I love this. Like, I’m I’m I’m vibing with this. Right. So, bit of an update. It seems that the world is now covered in uh snow. I’m guessing. I think it’s snow. Snow would make a lot of sense. Oh, wow. It even goes into the uh into the desert. Damn, it really goes on. Okay, cool. Right. I’m guessing the the rift is doing things like it’s like bringing things into this world. Let me just say before we continue with like the rest of the mod, because this mod is apparently meant to add like really cool boss fights, Supreme Calamitus is my favorite boss fight out of any game ever. I love it. You can hear it in my voice. I’m I’m shaking. Ah, okay. So, we picked up the blazing bud. A sprout of immense power. Screams, cries, and unceasing crackle of hellfire can be faintly heard from it. Can be planted on grass. Oh, there we go. Right. I was having like a little bit of a problem doing it. Wow, this thing is getting massive. Good that you’re here. I want to talk a bit about the Genesis again. Are you sure it isn’t ready yet? I don’t think it is, but it’s close. We need one last artifact for it to realize its full potential. I’ve done more research on my own, and I believe that there is someone out there that may have what we need. Who exactly? A renowned scientist named Treyoden. Have you heard of him before? I have. I briefly contacted him before with a special computer. Aha, that’s good. My superpower is not being great at commentating over uh really hard fights and also like not picking up on Q’s. So, keep in mind I might need to refight this like 10 times. So, bear with me. So, you can do that attack whenever you want basically. And uh and Solen is uh basically shielding us from these uh lasers essentially. Wow, that’s really cool. So I’m wondering, do you need to time her laser beam with like not getting hit by this missile, for example? Hard to say. Hard to say. Oh, okay. I think we’re on to a phase two. Uh it says get to me. Where did you go? Oh, you’re down there. Sorry. This is what I mean by like me not being able to follow as I talk. Wow. Okay. So, you have to you have to catch her. That’s really cool. That’s so cool. I’ve never uh done a boss fight like this where you’ve got like somebody just helping you out. It’s quite nice, actually. Makes a bit of a change. Oh, wow. That was cinematic. Basically, Solen’s a shield. So you got like a like I I kind of figured you had to be more like big laser beam, but it was more about like using the shield to block the attacks and if you block enough attacks then he uh goes prone and you can deal a bunch of damage. That was basically it. So uh so yeah, very cool. Very very cool. Right. Synthetic seedling, an artificial seed manufactured at the atomic level by Draod for use as a sustainable source of energy. Must be platinum grass. Here we go. Here it is. It looks marvelous. It’s marvelous in a in a very sinister way. It’s been a long and difficult journey, but we really achieved something great. I love this. At last, we can see the fruits of our labors. Let’s see. Now, let’s activate it. Oh, cool. Okay. Right click, maybe. Oh, yeah. Oh wow. What is going on here? Oh my gosh. That’s not good. Oh, Solen, you be careful. This is such a a trippy bite. Whoa. Oh my god. I’ve been sucked into a different dimension. Okay, I think I’m into another phase here. Oh, maybe just the start. That was the warm up. Wow. Now, this is like I mean this is unlike anything I’ve ever seen in Terraria. The avatar of emptiness. Oh, that’s sinister. Very s Whoa, that’s a moon. Wow, that looks so 3D. That’s so cool. Okay, I got to keep out running this though. Go that way a little bit. Okay, keep cracking the moon, I’m guessing. Wow, when you die, it’s so uh so dramatic. Let me just say that warning at the start about photo sensitivity. No joke. I’ve done this fight like 10 times now. It’s not going very well, but I have such a migraine. You know what it is? It’s um it’s when it flashes white. Like when it flashes white and it’s really bright, kind of does it. Well, it does this like purple one at the start. I have to look away. And then when you die, it flashes white as well. I might actually legitimately have to skip this fight and I’m very sorry about that. Um, yeah, it’s it’s it’s honestly a bit too much for me. Very cool design though. Very very cool. I think what I’m going to do is I’m going to kick it to like I’m going to put a god mode on then I can watch some parts of the fight. Maybe include some parts but like you know not do it like skip over it. I hope you hope you lot don’t mind. I apologize. This was the uh attack I did want to show though just because of how cool it is. It’s very bright. But uh wonderful. Look at that. So like these two planets come along and then you just uh yeah go up or down or left or right. You know what I mean? Ooh, this is fancy. Okay, so like 60% health. I have to close my eyes. That’s horrible. It’s calm. And yet it feels as though something terrible is coming. Something from below. Oh wow, that is proper static. You know what? Feel quite old saying this. I feel like a lot of people today don’t even know what static is. Sounds bad, right? Like I remember it. We used to call it uh dead flies in Britain. That’s what static was called. Is that is that a thing around the world? Let me know. There we go. Oh no. No. Oh, we lost Solin. She died to the dead flies. That’s tragic. You’ve done well. Now seek Terminus. The final test is at hand. Um, but in terms of like the actual fight, I saw glimpses even in god mode. I thought I was going to die. That’s how uh intense the fight is. So, I will say if you are in the mood, if you can if you can look at that and that’s fine for you, although she’s dead and her banner’s gone, if you personally can look at that and and nothing is an issue for you, I think you’ll really enjoy that fight. If you really like hard boss fights, I think that would probably be too hard for me. Just being honest, like even looking at it, I think even if the colors were right, I’d struggle with that. Right, let me um let me turn my mod off so we can enjoy maybe the final fight. The avatar of emptiness. Grave murmurss. Whale from beyond. Press left shift to listen closer. Looks like a like a chicken leg. Uh, we also got a treasure bag. So, it comes with uh different dyes. Uh, dis chromatic dye. Let’s see what that looks like. Ah, okay. Very cool. This one. Very nice. Uh, paradise die. Cool. All right, so we got some uh milk cartons. Don’t use this if you have photosensitivity. Thank you. The milk effects take a while to set in. Does interdimensional lactose intolerance exist? We got a metallic chunk to material. Let’s see. What does it make? It makes iron bars. Amazing. Amazing. We’re lucky to have it. We’re lucky to have it. The portal skirt. Equipable vanity item. Surprisingly, it’s only waste deep. Ah, that’s cool. That’s a neat little effect, actually. I like that. Emptiness sprayer shoots a stream of chaos mist that vaporizes everything it touches. Kills 99.90% of lesser beings, guaranteed. Wow, I love the look of that as well. That is so cool. I’ll keep that. I don’t think it it probably doesn’t do anything. It just looks good. An impossibly old artifact locked away at the bottom of the abyss in an act of protraction. It gaze is opened. You will be tested, right? Please don’t test me too hard. Please don’t test me too hard. Here we go. What? Wow, this is very beautiful. Ascend. Okay. Oh, look at that. It’s laying the tracks as I go. But this is very beautiful. This is like sometimes you see a Terraria mon like this ain’t Terraria anymore. Like how’ they how’ they do this? Like where did they get the idea for this? The rainbow road. Cool. So all the we’re off all the way up into the skies. It’s beautiful, isn’t it? It’s absolutely stunning. Oh no. Not more white light. Your final test begins. I’ve got a feeling I’m not going to be able to do it. I got a strong feeling. This is beautiful. Look at this nice little background. Reminds me of uh I used to have this as my like uh computer background. Okay. Oh. Oh. What is this? What is that? What is that? Uh okay. I’ll do my thing. I’ll do me best. Seems like a a bullet hell though. Not really my forte. I I’ll try it though. I’ll try it. I won’t say no. I’ve come this far. So far though, I will say even though this is like I think what drew me into this model or like what I’d heard is it had good boss fights. But you know what? The actual like story with Solen and and and all that and the quest and everything, I think that was really special. Like I I honestly think that was really cool and I really encourage you lot to to give it a go yourself. This boss fight is hard though. I don’t even know what’s going on. You have failed the test. Well, I seem to have uh run into a bit of an issue here. You can see that that Solen’s alive. I don’t think that’s canonical. I think she’s dead. Basically, I logged out to go get some food and I’ve logged back in and the mod thinks I’m like hours behind. So, I haven’t done um the exommech and I haven’t done the the thing the the flashing one. So, yeah, I’m kind of a bit of a rough spot here. I had a little look on YouTube just to see like how does it work at the end, right? If you beat the boss, it kicks you back to the main menu and then you log back in and it’s like here is some rewards. So, I can’t even like I don’t know, cheat them in. I can’t even do that. It’s weird because it’s not like the world has gone back in time. Like I still have the relics and I still have, you know, all my items from it. I’ve got my good apple. I’m not feeling good about this. Um, but I think I’m going to wrap it up there. Uh, the final fight seemed very hard. I mean, I was I did about like 20 attempts and I wasn’t into phase two yet. Like I I just mastered phase one and I was like, “Right, this is a good time to to basically like go eat.” But yeah, that what a cool mod though. What a cool mod. Overall though, I would say I’ve had a wonderful time with this mod. I’m very, very glad I checked it out. Maybe a little bit too difficult for me if I’m being honest, but overall very cool.
