Perfecting Qi’s Secret Walnut Room | Stardew Valley | Ep 5

Hello everybody, this is Gamergar. Welcome back to another episode on the perfection farm. Can we get perfection in just one year? We’re going to find out very soon. We’re now on the 11th of summer. We’re making our way through the month. We’re over on Gingry at the moment just planting a couple of crops. We are getting some nice journal scraps which allow us to get more golden walnuts, but we’re going to have to go back to Pelican down and participate in the Luo. is extremely important because we need to do this to get lots of friendship points with a lot of the Star Valley NPCs and a gold star sturgeon will seal the deal for us. When it comes to getting perfection, as you all know, it is impossible to naturally get 100% progression in one year. So, the tactic we’re going to use is to get as much natural progression as possible so we don’t have to pay huge amounts of money to get the final few percentages. So, we’re going to go to the desert now after the L. We’re going to talk to Sandy. We’re going to buy some beet seeds along with some rhubarb seeds as well because we can plant these either in the greenhouse or we can plant them over on Ginger Island. We’re also going to invest in a lot of deluxe speedrow. So, these crops grow faster. The faster they grow, the more XP we are absolutely going to get. Now, once we’re finished with Sandy, we will take a quick stroll around the desert and pick up as many forgeables as possible. Our far skill is on level eight right now. We need to really grind that out to level 10. It needs to be done now, much sooner rather than later. Every single day that we play through where we don’t have all of the mastery skills is a lot of opportunities wasted. So, we really need to max out all these skills and that’s something we’re going to be doing a lot of now over the next few days. We’re going to be grinding out some skills, especially foraging. Now, one event is going to happen very soon, and that is the green rain. And that is really going to help us out when it comes to getting foraging up to the next level. But first, let’s just focus on the greenhouse. Once we have all the crops planted, we’re going to sleep into the next day. And we’re going to start by picking up some crops. We’re getting coffee beans. We’re getting hot peppers. That’s a loved gift for the few people. We’re also going to pick up some poppies here as well. Now, most of this does get sold for the shipping collection. A lot of it will be saved for the recipes. It’s nice to get recipes from people in the mail and it’s just a good sign that we’re doing really well with the friendship so far. Now, you might notice from the dehydrator today, we got raisins. How do we get those? We put in five grapes. Raisins are amazing. They sell for real nice money, and you can even give them to Junimos for the chance that we’ll harvest a crop twice. They’re a really nice fruit to have. Now, today is Friday, which means the forge will haven’t maximized on the beach just yet. But we were going to go to the beach anyway and get all these forgeables because we need foraging XP. And if the gatherer perk activates, that means 14 XP instead of seven, which is really nice as well. Now, these forgeables, most of them will be sold. The rainbow shells sell for really nice money. Once we’re finished with the forgeables, we’re going to go back to Ginger Island. We need to make more progression here. We need to get into Key’s secret walnut room as quickly as possible because you only get one quest per week. Now, we just unlocked the dig site area. This place is absolutely amazing for resources. Not only that, but once we free Professor Snail from his cave, we can begin the archaeology side quest, and that will reward us with tons of golden walnuts along with the ostrich incubator, which is an item we need to craft for perfection, and the banana and mango tree. Now, there’s lots of clay and boat fragments we can get from the dig site. It’s also a great place to do panning as well for lots of additional resources. So, Professor Snail is the man, and he is going to give us lots of golden walnuts in the near future. Now, we’re going to go into the cave that he spent a lot of time in. We’re going to get all of the forgeas inside here, and forge do respawn in that cave quite regularly. We’re then going to gather up all of the remaining resources that we detonated. We are going to clear all the resources from this place. This is also a great place to go every day to accumulate ginger if you’re looking to make lots of ginger ales. There’s a couple of golden walnuts up here that we can grab from the bushes and ho up from the ground. Once we’ve obtained these golden walnuts, there’s a good majority of them left inside the volcano dungeon. But first, let’s go into Professor Snail’s tent here and answer some questions about purple flowers and purple starfish. Thankfully, regardless of how many times you start a new file, the answer is always the same, which is so nice. Could you imagine if that was randomized every time you start a new file? It would be way harder. Thankfully, could surely didn’t do that. So, we’re fishing up some golden walnuts here. You can fish up a total of five golden walnuts on Ginger Island. But we’re also fishing in this exact spot to get an artifact. And this is called the fossilized spine. We need this for Professor Snail. We’re now going to do some work here on the ginger item farm. We are going to wipe out every single debris on this farm. There’s a couple of reasons we want to do this. The first, of course, so we can fill it up with crops eventually. That’s going to be a great money maker. Secondly, every time we mine open one of these rocks, there’s a chance we can get a snake vertebrae. We will need two of those. Because we got more journal scraps, we able to get a golden wallet there along with a pearl. The pearl is very nice. We could sell it for lots of money or we could give it to someone because it is a universal loved gift. For the rest of the evening, we’re going to roam around looking for hoing spots. We also achieved a forging skill of nine, which was nice. We can now make the rain totem. The next day begins with the rumaging of trees. As we can see, we’re getting lots of coconuts. There is a chance we will obtain golden coconuts. We’re going to need a handful of these because when Clint breaks open the first one, that’s going to give us a golden walnut. But we also need to get a fossilized skull. Sometimes you can get lucky. You can get it from the second golden walnut. Other times you can be very unlucky and you might need seven or 10 of them. We done the pylon puzzle and I’m not going to lie to you. I recorded every single combination, paused my game, watched the recording, wrote down the colors, and then I activated the pylons. Using this method, I was able to complete this miniame with minimal time spent. You know, I never said this before, but I used to be a huge World of Warcraft player back in the Burning Crusade days, and I remember if you went to one of the floaty islands, there was a mini game like this where the pylons would light up and you had to match their sequence. So, every time I played this mini game, I I think of World of Warcraft Burning Crusade when the game was actually good in my opinion. Of course, don’t attack me in the comments, please. So, we just got a couple of golden walnuts there for completing that mini game. Onwards and upwards. We’re just going to finish off the beach upgrade here. Now, this means Star Valley NPCs will now visit the beach. If Gus visits the beach, he sells the tropical curry recipe. We will absolutely need to buy that off him because we need to craft that for perfection. We’re going to pull up a another golden walnut there from that star- shaped pond. And we just hook up another ground. There’s a sneaky one right down there at the bottom of the pirates cave. So, we just got that one as well. If we come back here now into this area just before Leo’s house, we whackle up in all these weeds. There’s a chance we’re going to get a mummified frog from one of these fiber plants. And we get lucky to that we managed to grab it. So, that’s another item needed for Professor Snail’s archaeology side quest. Now, we don’t have a whole lot of work done with Leo, so we’re going to have to give this guy gifts all of the time. If we get star drop tease, we might save them for good old Leo. Leah, on the other hand, was looking for the diamond. I love these help on the quests. We had diamonds to burn. So, we’re going to give a diamond to her along with a salad. The next time we meet her, we’re going to get Clint to break open huge amounts of geote. We’re actually very close to completing all of the minerals. We just need a handful. One of the minerals we need, I believe it’s called Neptunionite. It’s a long black crystal that hasn’t popped out of any of the geodess just yet. Now, if we get desperate later on, we can always respspec so that there’s a higher chance to get on the geodess. So, there’s always that tactic as well. Some of the rewards are quite nice. We’re going to pick up the rare crow there, which is the one depicting the mouse. We’re going to put that on the farm. It was Alex’s birthday. He got a rabbit’s foot. I managed to get one from killing the serpent a while ago, and it’s called Caverns. So, I just give that one into him. We’re now going to smelt up some bars. We need to make copper bars for multiple reasons. We need more tappers. We need more cakes. We need so much copper, it’s not even funny. But the time will come where we will delve deep into the mines and we will get thousands upon thousands of copper and iron and gold and aridium so we can make all the things we need to really excel at this game. Now, in the next couple of weeks, you’re going to see things ramp up. These are just small templates we have on the farm at the moment. a small farming patch a little bit over in Ginger Island. That is going to exponentially increase as the weeks go on because we need to make millions upon millions of gold. Now, we’re putting up a lot more crops today. We’re getting some spangles. We’re getting sunflowers. Haley loves sunflowers. So, we will save a bunch for her, especially the gold star sunflowers. All of these oak resins would of course be used to make lovely kegs. We have a couple of mahogany trees there as well that have been fully grown. We’re going to cut all them down and we are going to get all of that lovely hardwood. We’re still going to need tons upon tons of hardwood to make a lot of the artisan machines, but also if you want to get a lot of upgrades done, especially the house upgrade and if you want to fix up the raccoon’s home. Now, we have a deluxe on the farm. We’ve got some animals. We need to fill those siders up with hay as soon as possible. Thankfully, we haven’t really touched off the grass since the beginning of the challenge. So, we have got tons of grass around the farm that we can sight away to get lots of hay. And that hay will automatically go into the sideo. Because we have the delux coupe, we don’t have to manually feed the animals, which is absolutely great. Now, we’re going to make a little mini tree farm down here. And the reason for this tree farm is for foraging XP. That’s basically it. I always had to remind myself that there just isn’t enough trees in the game to max out foraging. You really need to use that tree fertilizer. You need to make tree farms if you want to max out the skill sooner rather than later. And I don’t mind spending the next couple of days cutting down trees upon trees upon trees if I can find them to get the valuable XP. But the next day was a godsend. We finally got the threshold to get into the sores to make crobus and access his wares. But first, let’s harvest all of these lovely star fruit. This is going to bring us right up to level 9 and almost level 10. We were so close, but there just wasn’t enough star fruit planted to get us into the level 10. But not to worry, we are very close and it won’t take us too long to finish off the farming to get it up to level 10. Look at all these beautiful battery packs. Oh, we’re going to put these to great use. We’re going to save a lot of these and we’re going to focus on aridium sprinklers. The reason why you want to upgrade your quality sprinklers to aridium is so you can put more crops down on your farm. And there is going to come a time, it’s going to come very soon, where we’ll be using every single tile on our farm to grow a crop or to do something productive. We will absolutely not waste space. So, we’re going to go to Clint to upgrade the pan. The pan is absolutely amazing after 1.6. We’re now going to go down to the source here, meet Crobas. But first, let’s pull up another legendary fish. This is known as the mutant carp. It’s probably one of the easiest legendary fishes you can get in the game. We’re going to smoke that up and set it. It’s now time to name these beautiful animals after our channel members. We’re going to start with the chickens, then the duck, and then the rest are going to be rabbits. So, for the brown chicken, we have Nicole Fallon. For the white chicken, we have Sabrina Duty. Then we have Bunker’s Busy as our duck. Dar Wiseman as a rabbit followed by Natasha Smith, Taylor H, Sarah Crawl, we’ve got Pink Blossom, Mana Ilana, we also have the awkward BB, the Sleepy Brit, and last but certainly not least, Fluffy Fish, and if you want your name incorporated into one of these challenges, just sign up for the game membership. It’s only a couple of euro up per month. With all these animals on the farm, it’s going to come in very handy for resources, especially the rabbit’s feet later on. More importantly, we get XP every time we pet these animals. That’s why the auto pedal can be so good sometimes because it auto pets all the animals and you get the XP for that. That’s right. The auto pedal will transfer the XP to you. So, we finally got around to giving Lee that diamond. We also gentle on four out of eight hearts at the moment. We’re making good progress with the friendships, which is nice. We’re going to go back to Sandy here now. We’re going to buy way more starf fruit. We spent all our money on star fruit. way more than the star fruit we bought initially. Before we leave, we’re going to run around the desert, look for hoing spots, look for forgeables. We’re going to plant all the star fruit, but we may have to expand our farming plot just a little bit to get the rest of the star fruit down. The general tactic to make all of the money in this challenge is to fish up legend twos and make tons of starf fruit wine. They’re the two big methods we’re going for. But if we can get into masters early and if we get a level four parrot, we can also incorporate fighting bugs with monster musk to get hundreds of thousands of gold every single day as well. We can also go to the summit and fish up lava eels. There’s tons of methods, tons of methods. Primarily starford will go into the greenhouse and it will dominate Ginger Island. The next day, finally, we get the green rain. We are going to spend the whole day farming up fiber and moss and everything else in between. We’re going to get tons of forging XP from this. Now, our forge skill is already on level 9. After today, our forge skill doesn’t get to 10, but it greatly accelerates and it gets pretty close to 10. All of these fiddle head fern trees going to be cut down. We’re going to collect lots of fiddle head ferns. Now, I believe we need a handful of fiddle head ferns to make that fiddle head roto. So, we will keep a few and we will absolutely sell the rest. Every time you sight open those big fiber plants, you get 15 forging XP. It’s just so nice. I’m using the golden sight today instead of my galaxy sword because I find the site is just way better at gathering stuff. It’s much stronger and in all fairness, it’s not that slow. Now, once we’re finished with Sinap Forest, we’re going to move all through the valley to get as much trees and fiber and moss as possible. The only thing I would have redone if I reset today, I probably would have taken a speed buff. I would have covered more ground, would have got more resources. That’s the big mistake today. I didn’t activate a speed buff. And with all of the coffee I had on the farm, I don’t really have an excuse. I just forgot to do it. But as I said before, on that reset days, you know, I just don’t have the time for it right now. The next day started with the collection of mushrooms for mushroom logs. We petted all of our animals, which was nice. If you take a look at our farming skill, it’s very close to 10. We went into the mushroom cave to get even more forging XP. We also picked up some dried oranges that we’ll also sell. Thanks to the fertilizer and the green rain, all of our trees, most of our trees are fully grown. We picked up the book of power, Jack be nimble, Jack be thick. Because we already had the perk, we got XP instead. XP towards combat, which was nice. I wasn’t complaining. We’re now going to cut down all of these trees. Now, we get very lucky when it comes to cutting down these trees. We managed to pick up some more books of power. We just got the woody secret there. We already have that. So, if we activate that again, we’re going to get 100 forging XP. It was just so nice to get that. And if you think about it, what’s a 100 forging XP? It’s about like what, seven or eight trees that you have to cut down, including the stumps. Once we’re finished with all the trees and went into the woods to get all the stumps in here because you get a lot of XP per stump. We then went back to Clint. We got our steel pan. We’re going to hand it back in straight away though and upgrade it to the gold pan. Eventually, we will have an Aridium pan, and we’re going to get some crazy resources from panning. The quarry is doing quite well. As we can see, we’re getting lots of oak resins today. We’re now going to go back to the farm and we’re going to collect some hops. All of these will go into kegs to make pale. You know, if you pursued the career of a hops farmer in this game, it’s actually very profitable because once the hops are fully grown, you get to harvest hops every single day after that. So if you used farming perks, you know, like the 10% to accelerate growth rate along with a really good speed fertilizer, I mean, you’d have those hops in no time at all. So using the right tactics and strategy, you could make some serious money with hops in the first year easily. For the rest of the night, we’re cutting down trees. We’re so close to for itself. I was just going to keep going and keep going until there was no trees left. While we were down here, we might as well pay the wizard a visit. I keep neglecting him and I’m going to suffer for it later on in the challenge. I tried to max out all his friendships. So, I popped into his tower and gave him an essence and it kept him happy for a few days at least. We’re still cutting out more trees. The good news is we do get level 10 foraging today and we’re going to get it very soon and this was a huge stress off my shoulders because it’s by far the hardest profession to max out. Now, level 10 forging, we’re of course going to take botist. It’s a great money maker. Everything we pick up is idium quality. That means if someone has a forest loved gift, we’re going to get even more friendship points. Botist all the way for the rest of this challenge by far. As we can see, the greenhouse is still fairly empty. We will eventually fill that up with star fruit. Farm me is almost on level 10. So, we spoke to Crobas today and we’re going to purchase a void egg off Crobas for 5,000 gold. We’re going to get this now. And what we’re going to do is um we’re either going to sell the first one, buy another one. We’re going to put that into a mayonnaise machine, sell the void mayonnaise. That’s it. Then in terms of the shipping bin collection, you don’t really need void eggs after that. You just have to buy one, sell it raw, buy one again, process it, and sell it. We picked up the dark talisman because we were down here anyway. And since we were in the area, we might as well fish up the slime jack because it’s the exclusive fish down here. You can’t get this slime jack anywhere else in the game. and we need to capture all the fish to get the star drop in order to achieve perfection. It was Sam’s birthday. He gets a pizza. Lots of friendship points for us. We also had Jodie, so we give her a diamond as well because she loves those. We’re also giving Jodi a grape because she wanted that as part of a help wanted quest. It’s just more friendship points for us. And I have to say these help wanted quests are really, I mean really helping us, no pun intended, to get extra friendship points with people. We’re going to go to Ghost, buy some salads. You can guess why. You know, we’re going to be doing a lot of dungeon delving in the next couple of days. We’re going to be doing a lot. We have to think about monster eradication goals. We also have to think about getting lots and lots of resources to make lots and lots of machines. So, we just picked up our second snake vertebrae right there, which is really nice. We got another one earlier breaking open stones. We also got very lucky with the muscle nodes. We managed to get three of the five golden walnuts from these today. I was very happy with that. One step closer to getting into Mr. Keyy’s secret walnut room. Now, we’re on the 17th at the moment. It’s a Wednesday. If I can get into that room before this week is out, I’ll be all so happy. It just means more opportunities for key quests. We got a couple of golden coconuts today, which was great. We are saving those up. Eventually, we will get Clint to break them all open. We can get five golden walnuts from farming up nonregrowable crops. So, eventually we should be able to get all those as well. We are going to the dig site a lot. We’re just bombing the place up in the hopes to get lots of resources, but there’s also an awful lot of artifacts we can get from this place too that we can give in to Gunther. Now, we got very lucky already. We managed to get the trilobyte and we got some other fossils as well. And sometimes they can be very hard to get. You can’t get those from artifact tropes. So, it’s always nice to get the nonartifact trope stuff earlier rather than later. Now, with all the bombs we made, we’re going to go up into the volcano dungeon. as well as our farmer displays. The reason why you want to be doing a lot of dungeon runs early is to get the monster eradication goal for those lava and magma sprites cuz you need to kill something like 100 or 150 of those. I mean, it’s a tall order and fair enough, they’re a fairly common enemy in the dungeons. You can only go in do a full dungeon run once per day. So, that’s something we have to be mindful of. We got around to Pam. We gave her the pale ale that she requested. She was very happy with that. We now have Pam on eight out of 10 parts. We’re doing exceptionally well with relationships at the moment and we’re still only in summer. If I can max out everyone by the end of fall, I will be so happy because it just gives me extra time in winter to get the other tasks done. These prize tickets are really starting to pay off, but the great stuff hasn’t even come yet. Eventually, we’re going to get more Star Drop TE’s. We’re going to get a dehydrator. We’re even going to get a magic rock candy if we keep pushing ahead with those quests. Now, we got the gold pan today. We could not afford the aridium pan upgrade. So, for now, we’ll keep the gold pad and we’ll get Clint to break open all these golden coconuts. So, we got a golden wallet from the first one. And from the second last one, we got the fossilized skull. I was so happy with that. I didn’t care much for everything else. I just really wanted a skull. Look what we panned up today. A lucky ring and a diamond. I was exceptionally happy with this. Oh, it’s so good to get lucky ring. It just means the next time we do Skull Cavern Run, we’re going to be luckier. We’re going to see more of everything. I also got the fossilized tail as well. That was the last item I needed to complete Professor Snail’s archaeology side quest. Now, the gold pan isn’t half bad, but you can do much better. And Aridium pad with generous, you’re going to get some serious resources. So, we’re going to donate all of these items now to Professor Snail. Once this is done, we are going to get rewarded with mountains of great things. As I mentioned before, the golden walnuts are going to greatly help us get into Keyy’s secret walnut room. Now, it’s not going to be enough. We need to wait for the frog to evaluate our crops, of course. But for now, we are going to grab all of the golden walnuts that we can, but we’re not finished with today. Oh, no. We’re just getting started. We are going to visit the cave. The pirates are back in town and we are going to talk to Dartman and play his mini game three times to win three golden wallets. So, the dart game is pretty cool. You have to score a total of 30 points and every time you play the game, you get less and less darts to throw. Now, I’ll show you the first game and it’s just rinse and repeat three times with less darts. Now, it’s not too difficult, you know, to to get the triple 20, you know, to get to 60. Once we get the three golden walnuts here, we’re going to head on out and we are going to do some more panning. Now, we get some cool stuff from panning. Lots of copper ores, lots of coal, lots of iron ores. I wasn’t complaining at all because I need these ores to make things. Lots of things, especially sprinklers and cakes. So, the gold ores were still nice to get as well. I was also getting mining XP from panning, too. Panning gives you mining XP and forged XP. And the XP is based off of how much of the thing you panned up. So when it comes to level 10 farming, we’re going to take agriculturist for now crops grow 10% faster. Finally, our melon and our wheat grew. So we’re going to get five golden walnuts from the melon and five golden walnuts for the wheat. Because we had so many golden walnuts, we got the pars to fix up the warp obis back to our farm. We’re then going back to Pelican Town. It was Demetrius’s birthday, so we gave him ghost star strawberry. He was very happy with that. We’re then going to get Robin to make us a big barn. Eventually that upgraded to a deluxe barn. We then went back over to Ginger Island. We got another golden wallet there from the chest along with the deluxe pirate hat. It’s a rare hat, but I was happy with my cap. I got this super rare mushroom floor in the volcano dungeon. This floor is just awesome. Now, these enemies are quite unique. If you kill these fake mushroom enemies, they will drop magma caps for you. And the magma cap is absolutely amazing at giving you health and energy. And because we have botonist, if we forage the ones on the ground that aren’t enemies, we get aridium quality magma caps. I don’t think, you know, besides the life elixir, I don’t think there’s anything else in this game that can give you more health and energy than an aridium quality magma cap. They’re just absolutely insane. And if you got five aridium quality mang caps you stuck them into a dehydrator is actually a waste because fair enough you get back to superfood and you’d make a little bit of a profit. But in terms of eating them for health and energy, don’t bother. Just keep theium quality ones. Eat them if your energy gets lower. If your health gets low and just watch your bar get topped right back up to full. Now I ended up getting dragon scale boots today. Unfortunately, I just wasn’t recording when I popped it. I thought I was recording, but I wasn’t. So, if you’re wondering why I got in the elite chest, it was the dragon’s pale boots. I’m going to pick up the prismatic shard because yes, this is the first time we got to the summit. We’re going to enchant our galaxy sword. We looked out, we got crusader. Couldn’t have asked for a better enchant. Killing mummies would now be walk in the park. And it just means getting combat XP, getting the monster eradication gold for those mummies would be way easier. Level 9 combat. Let’s take a look at the skills. farming 10, mining 10, foraging 10, fishing 10, combat 9. So, we need to get combat maxed out as quickly as possible so we can get into the mastery tiers. And once we unlock mastery, we can just floor skull caverns to the limit until we have the five mastery levels. We also get access to keys secret walnut room. Let’s take a look at the perfection tracker. 25% complete. 101 out of 130 golden walnuts. A lot of those tasks will be completed kind of one after the next, I’d say, especially when we get into winter from the way things are going. The fish can be done quite easily if we buy some magic bait. You know, if you had enough magic bait, you could probably capture all the fish in maybe 2 or 3 days, unless you’re Argon Matrix. He can do it in one day because he’s just insanely skilled. We’re going to take Skull Cavern invasion. 40 key gems. It’s a no-brainer. Now, we only have two days to do it because it’s Saturday. You know, once Monday hits, new quests come in. But I was confident in my ability and of course the resources I currently had to make it down to 100 in the hardened versions of the skull caverns. I had the dragon scale boots. I had a weapon with crusader, but before I went down, I was going to spend the whole day in the regular mines wiping out iron ores, collecting coal, killing bats and dust sprites, of course, and slimes for monster eradication goals. So, you know, multiple purposes we can serve out here. Now, we end up getting lots of iron ores today, which was great. I can make lots of bombs tomorrow. Now, this is the last day in this series. You’re going to have to wait a few days for the next episode to come out, but I’m telling you right now, the next episode, it’s it’s going to be amazing. There’s a big ramp up in terms of resources, in terms of money. We’re going to be hitting the skull caverns, the hardened versions. We’re going to be wiping out the toughest monsters in the game. We’re going to be getting lots of resources. This is just going to be a great couple of days. So, thanks everyone for watching the series so far. The hard mode Skull cavern dungeon will give us plenty of prizes that we use to make getting perfection much easier. along with an array of Qi gems, the currency to buy some of the best items the game has to offer.
