Terraria, But You Fight Gods

Terraria boss fights are one of my favorite aspects of the game. And there’s so many mods that add insane boss fights. And a very popular example, as you guys know, is the Terraria Calamity mod. What if I told you that there’s actually more mods for the Terraria Calamity mod? And these introduce even more crazier, and dare I say, worlds shattering bosses. I have added four main Calamity add-on mods that each add and change a major part of the game. And the bosses that these things add are absolutely jaw-dropping. But before I explain every single mod, let’s start piece by piece. And it all starts with here a brand new basic Terraria Calamity playthrough on my second channel where everything is pretty normal. Off the bat, we’re doing some basic things such as making some brand new houses, killing the king slime. It’s all sort of smooth sailing from here. Now, like I said, overall this is a very normal Calamity playthrough except for the fact that we can now get the Murasama in the beginning of the game. One of the mods that I’ve added onto my playthrough is the Calamity Overhaul mod. This is one of the four major mods that I’ve added. And this mod in particular kind of overhauls and changes some of the bosses and also when you get specific items, including the Murasama. Now, we’re actually able to get the Murasama early on into the game and we can actually upgrade it as we go. As we defeat more bosses in Calamity and in vanilla, we end up increasing the damage and also we unlock more and more abilities. Now, initially this might seem really overpowered at first, but trust me when I say this, the bosses in this game get so much more difficult that the Murasama is the last of our worries. And so, we continue our regular old Calamity run until we run into a brand new NPC called Solen. Solen is an NPC that is added by the Wrath of the Gods Calamity mod, the next out of our main four that is going to be changing the couple final bosses that we’re going to be fighting in this mod. Solen isn’t a regular NPC. She has special dialogue options. She also doesn’t live in a regular house. you actually have to set up a camp for her and inside of her base, you can actually fill out a bookcase with a bunch of tomes that you can get throughout the map. Now, you would think that after struggling this much on such a very easy part of the game that you would think that I would need some sort of help. And honestly, maybe I should have gotten a friend to help out or at least had a friend that can somewhat do building on Terraria play with me because I’m not going to lie, I did not work on this base that I started working on at all. But you know, the problem is I can’t host this server 24/7 while I’m offline. Or can I? Well, this video is sponsored hurdles in the game so far. Like I said, we’ve added a couple more mods that make Calamity much more crazier, including some crazy god boss fights. And with that in mind, I ended up challenging the wall of flesh, defeating him, and also defeating Cryogen. And with this, we are now in hard mode. And because we’re in hard mode, this is where a lot of these changes start taking place, notably the Calamity overhaul mod. Every single boss so far has been somewhat completely normal. We’re playing on expert death mode on Calamity. So, there’s a couple of changes, but nothing too crazy. No godlike attacks, no godlike battles. But with the installation of the Calamity overhaul mod, the mechanical bosses, right, the mechanical bosses that you fight right before playing Terra have been all completely modified. Lasers are what’s bad and getting stuck in here. His debuffs also burn a lot with his lasers. His lasers. All right. Now, so now this is his new phase. This is when he starts getting a little bit faster. He’s kind of going to be charging at me kind of like do So, trying to hit me. Okay, it’s not so bad right now, but uh-oh. Uh-oh. Yeah, low HP. Oh, so that’s a destroyer. But now, let’s do Skeletron Prime because this guy is an absolute menace. Let me show you guys. Skeletron Prime summons out. Brand new sprite. Summons with the twins. So, the twins kind of do mini attacks. It’s not so bad. And it’s kind of like a mini exom. But then also while with the projectiles, he’s kind of shooting out and going in the spinny mode, Beyblade mode. That’s the destroyer. And then he swaps out the twins with the destroyer. And then lasers. Okay, I think we’re in what? I don’t know what phase this is, but he’s using twins again. Okay, now in this phase, he kind of has a brain of Cthulhu form, which doesn’t really affect me cuz I have homing. Ow. Wait, don’t actually tell me. I actually can’t believe I died. I thought I was going to do that first try. That was my fault. But yeah, that’s the Skeleletron Prime fight. I did it first try, believe it or not. It It’s genuinely not that bad. I should have not been on the ground at that time. Now, the problem though is I can’t beat the mechanical eye or the twins. And uh I’ll show you guys. So, that was Skeleton Prime. It’s kind of like a mini ExomX fight. And then Destroyer is kind of like a mini DOG fight. The twins are kind of like a seizure resistance fight. Okay. A lot of projectiles already. So, that’s what they do. Then they’re going to be tackling. Now it’s almost daytime, but I don’t believe they enraged. The spasm has enraged. He shoots out green and purple fire. I’m dead. They’re not even enraged. I’m going to die. And yeah, let’s try the twins again. And I really do hope we can beat it. Second form. They’re both in second form now. This is good cuz they’re more stagnant. No, I got the wrong man out. I need to pop a heal. I’m switching. I need more life regen. Why was that so far? That Hercuanian lunged. Oh my god. Oh my god. I’m getting creamed. That’s one. Now he’s going to be enraged. No, please. Please. Nice. The underground hollow has been blessed with consecrated stone. Oh my god, I was so scared. And that, my friends, is the first hard mode instance of a brand new boss being changed to almost like exome levels of insanity. But now we’re back onto the regular Calamity progression. We end up quickly taking out the Calamitous clone, but after defeating Planter, the seed of the wrath of the gods has once again been planted quite literally. After talking to the perafrost NPC that you get after defeating Cryogen, he ends up giving you a strange key. And with this key, we’re able to take it to Solen. and she tells us that there’s a strange like magical energy emanating from the bottom of the frost caverns. And so when we go down to investigate, a brand new area and a structure appears. I’ve been looking around, but there doesn’t seem to be much of note except for this. This frozen artifact appears to be some sort of seed. Furthermore, it has incredible magical potential. I can sense it. I’m not sure what it could be used for, but I’d recommend taking it and holding on to it for later. She just cool Frost Blast seedling. If nurtured correctly, its limitless potential will be unlocked. Can I plant it here? Um Um Okay, I’m just going to play it on the safe side and plant it somewhere else. Maybe here mayhaps, right? I don’t know. Let’s make some space for it, right? Uh it’s spreading. Wait, hold on. Let me go get some grass seeds. I know I said we’re going to fight Golem, but this is more important. Honestly, I can just kind of go out and fight Golem while this thing spreads. What is it? It looks like a like a mango. But after this, we end up going back straight into action and we defeat Anahita and Leviathan. And eventually we defeat Golle. And then after a couple more hours, we’re able to not only take out Duke Fishron, Ashram Deis, but also we’re able to take out the lunatic cultist and also defeat the Moon Lord on our very first try. Thus putting all of the vanilla bosses to rest. And now we’re moving on to the Calamity post Moonlord boss fights. Not only are the regular boss fights in Calamity going to get way harder from now on cuz we’re going to be fighting things like Providence. But also, this is where the Wrath of the Gods content starts to really really shine. I mentioned that there’s four main Calamity mods and each of them add a very specific boss or bosses. And now starts the preparation phase because when we get to these bosses, things are going to be absolutely insane. After defeating Moon Lord, we end up noticing that the sky is a little bit more red than usual. There’s kind of a black gold going on back there. And so we take this conversation to Solen, who tells us that we need to construct something called the Genesis. No idea what that is, but we listen to her. With this in mind, we now tackle the other bosses in the Calamity mod. Because as we defeat more bosses, this is also progressing the wrath of the gods like quest line with that sapling that we planted earlier. The first hurdle that we tackle is obviously defeating the profaneed guardians, which obviously in turn lead to Providence. This is one of my favorite groups of fights in the game. Like hands down, I think Providence is my favorite Terraria Calamity boss. But it did make me a little a little upset. No, please. 600 HP. [Music] It’s blue. It’s blue. It’s blue. It’s in rage. He’s taking less damage. Oh. Oh my god. All right. At least we killed it. All right, fellas. Just try it. Oh, lord. Let me try Arc of the Agents. Damage is a little better, but I like the ranged. Why am I taking so much damage? Oh, I’m far away. I forgot you have to stay close enough. Okay. No, not too far. Uh-oh. Oh, no. I dash. I dash. I dash. No way. No way. Sorry, I choked. No way. No, no, no. I can’t see [Music] it in. I studied that fight so much back then. Yes. Now, to be fair, that is just regular Calamity Providence. There’s nothing too crazy about that. I even fought in Frodom one time. That was really fun. But with Providence done, we’re now able to start moving towards Devour of Gods. The first boss we immediately defeat is Poltergass and start moving to the DOG servants. This part was relatively straightforward. I didn’t really have any struggle at all. Actually, lucky me. But the really cool thing that ended up happening is after you actually defeat Ceaseless Void in the dungeon, a portal void thing actually ends up showing up. And this is actually continuing the Wrath of the Gods quest line. Because of this, we end up going back to camp to talk to Solen. and Solen ends up checking it out herself. She decides to dive straight into the portal. And when she comes out, she’s actually able to give us the seed. And when she actually comes out of the portal, she ends up giving us a brand new part of that seed frost bless sapling tree thing, which we promptly add it to. And of course, after this, we fight, of course, the devourer of gods. I think out of my entire playthrough, this is the boss I had the struggle most on. Obviously, it’s devour of gods. I mean, like, what do you expect? And after I was able to defeat it, I ended up just going to bed. And so in my next session of play time, I ended up upgrading all of my gear, defeated the dragon folly, and then defeated Yurin. Dash down. There we go. Yes. Oh my gosh. Once I had the arena, it just clicked, bro. Mega mine. And because we have defeated Yurin, we now have access to most of the endgame bosses, which include obviously Supreme Calamitus. Now, usually I would fight XOMX before Supreme Calamitus because I think it just makes it easier that way, but the problem is I needed a bunch of batteries to make the codereaker. So, I ended up just farming Supreme Calamus. And turns out I actually did not record the part when I defeated her. But don’t worry, I ended up redoing the fight and I didn’t use any of the gear that dropped from the actual fight when I actually did defeat it. So, you know, just to keep things fair. And of course, I got to show the whole fight. I mean, it’s Supreme Calamity. She’s a god in her own right, right? This is like my 30th attempt, I think. Okay, maybe like 15. Oh my god, I want to die again. Okay. Uh, close part. I always die at this part. Wait, we actually have a shot. Whoa. What is that? How did I do that? Morasama. [Music] Am I recording? I am recording. Okay, cool. Okay. Why did I Please, please. I have a family and friends. Yes. Second time, man. I already did it the first time and I wasn’t recording. Am I recording? I am recording. Okay. Boom. That was the second time I did that. I already did it the first try. I’m opening this up and I’m going to go play Pokémon Go. Defeating Supreme Calamnus gives us the Blazing Bud. This is the third part of the Genesis/frost bless sapling tree thing. I actually just kept it in my inventory and waited because the last thing we need is from the ExomX. And so I ended up building the Code Breaker, which is the device I need to summon the ExomX. And after waiting like I think a couple of hours for all my batteries to complete, we summon the ExomX. But here’s the thing, it’s not just the regular ExomX. It is the ExomX that have been reworked from the Wrath of the Machines mod. And I will say it and I’m going to lay it down right now. This is the best boss fight that I’ve had in this series and my favorite one so far. It was just pure cinema. I have waited long for this moment. Your nature fascinates me for I do not understand it. You will face my creations which have surpassed even gods. Now choose. I forgot which one I do first. I believe I do Hades. Wait, Hades? Is that always his name? I thought it was called Thanos. So, the way that it works is you pick one of them to fight first and then after you beat the first phase of that, the other two will pop out and then they’re a little bit weaker and then you do all of them eventually later. I’m going to do the worm first. So, let’s um let’s do this. They will arrive shortly. Wait, they changed the fight. I forgot. Oh my god, what is happening? That’s for my morta, buddy. I’m losing HP rapidly. I don’t know what’s happening. Twins using Adoraxia. [Music] Holy. Hm. It appears that you have struck by minor blunt force trauma. These results were excellent. What? We should now reset the variables for the next phase of testing. Please stop following me. My remaining machine shall return shortly. Okay. Ow. I have no idea what’s going on. I actually have no idea what’s going Did I kill it? Your abilities up to this point have captured my interest. Now it’s time for the final phase of testing. Did I kill it? Is the Moro sama just broken? What the Oh my god. Oh boy. No. [Music] Oh my god. Oh, dude. It’s wriggling like a centipede. They’re [Music] shooting the beam again. I don’t know which direction. I got it. Did I win? Let me watch. Let me watch. Another completed ex. [Music] Wait, that was the whole fight. Why did we do it first try? I ended up redoing the fight a couple of times because I was kind of upset that I beat it really quickly. My guess is that the Calamity Overhaul mod kind of glitches out the Muros Sama to kind of scale it beyond what is I would consider fair. But after I did a couple of retries, I was just gawking at the fight. It’s just so beautiful. I ended up continuing Solen’s quest line by talking to her. And then now she allows us to actually talk and initiate a special boss fight with Jayden. But instead of fighting the Exomx, we are fighting a completely different boss, XG07 Mars. In order to finish the Genesis and get rid of that rift in the sky, we need to defeat this fellow. And let me just say, his mechanics are a little bit different than a regular boss fight. It’s going to be the XG07 fight. I accept. Excellent. It will arrive shortly. What the hecky? What? Hold LB RB. You’ve been holding out on me. Okay. Whoa. Get to me. I’m coming to win. Take this. The power of friendship. The family son. K. Hi. Ha. What’s the shield? There’s someone giving me a shield. What is going on in Oh my god, he’s so tanky. Oh my god, he smacked me with the beam. [Music] I got it now. I solved it. Oh, adrenaline. Solid. Protect me. [Music] We did it. Synthetic seedling. Marvelous. The data you two have provided me is immaculate. That was surprisingly fun. That was very fun. Worry not. I have already fulfilled my end of the bargain. The seed you now possess was my machine’s sole energy source. I’m eager to see how you use it. That was amazing. Good luck and farewell. Are we going to fight our first god? Or I mean, we did. We’ve been fighting gods this whole time, but you get what I’m saying. Okay, so now we should be able to make the Genesis. I’m just going to double check that I have all the dialogue for Solen. Uh, I’m not missing anything. We’ve made great progress, but we can’t slow down now. Okay, I guess I just plan it now, right? Okay, we are able to completely construct the Genesis. And so, we activated in hopes of turning off the rift in the sky or doing something to it. And let’s just say things don’t go as expected. And now we should be able to construct the Genesis. Here it is. It looks marvelous. It’s been a long and difficult journey, but we’ve achieved something really great. At last, we can see the fruits of our labor. All this is to stop a a void in the in the space. Now, let’s activate it. Okay. Right click. Please don’t crash my game. Holy crap. What is this? What is that? What is this? I got so I did not know what that was at all, but all I do know is that our current gear was not good enough. And so we went back to the drawing board and I searched up if we can make shadow spec bars. If you don’t know, shadowspec bars are like the Calamity Endgame type of bars. And typically they only need materials from Supreme Calamities and materials from the Exomax. The problem was though, there was a third brand new material that I was not really familiar with. And after a little bit of soouththing, it turns out there’s an extra boss that I’ve added from the Hunt of the Old Gods mod called Guzma. Guzma is I don’t even think the slime god. I think he’s like a slime interdimensional galactic deity being. But this fight was also absolutely beautiful. I I I just love all these fights. I cannot believe I’m living in this like stage of Terraria modding. It’s absolutely unbelievable. How do I dodge this? [Music] What is happening? [Music] What the heck? What’s happening now? There’s another phase. Oh no. [Music] What the [ __ ] I I don’t know. I I don’t know if I need better gear or it’s a skill issue. Definitely a skill issue, but holy crap. [Music] All right, second phase. The reason why my adrenaline is activating is because I have Draden’s heart, which instead of giving me adrenaline, it gives me HP whenever there’s time. So, I’m more tanky. [Music] Am I supposed to go inside or something, dog? What do you want me to do? [Music] I don’t know what’s going on, man. I’m in the zone. I’m in space. [Music] Oh my god. After defeating Guzma a couple of times after my first initial try, I ended up upgrading my weapons and my armor. For weapons, I was rocking the Triacis, Paladin, Hammer, Thingy Mabobber, and also the Imperium knives. They’re kind of like better vampire knives. They heal you. And also, I swapped my armor to demon share armor, making it where I can do way more damage than before. And so, we return back to the Genesis and reactivate it to see if we can kill this mysterious void or something like that. I I don’t know what it was. Please. Damn it. Does so much damage, man. Dude, that does so much dam. What? What is this game? What is this? He has a Frieza solar eruption. That’s what kill Vegeta. It’s 3D. I’m on the wrong. I’m dying. I’m dying. I’m dying. I’m dying. I actually have no idea. I’m taking damage from something. What is someone fighting with me? That’s so tough. What does this do? What does that do? Why is it dealing damage to me? [Music] I don’t even know what’s happening. Oh my god, that does so much damage. No. No. No. No. No. Goodbye, world. I’m I’m I’m dying in here. Just kill me. What do you want me to do? A recall potion? Are you actually just going to kill me in here? Wait. Was that a memorization game? I have limited flight. I’ve never seen this before. I’m taking so much damage. Stay below me. It’s happening again. What color do I stay in? The red. Keep dashing. Keep bashing. Keep bashing. No. Okay. No. Frick. Heal. Heal. Wrong. Okay, I think I got the hang of it. I don’t know how to dodge this. 350 left. 350 left. Three left. Revolve. Dash. Dash. Dash. I don’t know. Help me. Where am I? The red heal. What am I supposed to do? The reason why I keep dashing is cuz I can build up my healing. Oh, I’m screwed. I got a heal coming though. Run. Oh my. Am I even hitting it at all? I got to fly. Go, go, get out. Get out. Get out. Get out. Fly through the planets. Oh my gosh, my feet are numb. What? This is new. Get away. I don’t trust you. No. Ice. [ __ ] [ __ ] run. I’m scraping. Look at my world. [Music] This part’s light. This part’s light. This part’s light. This part’s light. This part’s light. Fly, fly away. Heal, heal, fly away, fly away, fly away. Hop V for heal. Oh my god, Draden’s heart is saving us so much right now. We’re so close. Unless there’s another face. [Music] Location paradise. It’s calm. Don’t do this to me. And yet it feels as though something terrible is coming. Something from below. Solid. Don’t believe me. Oh, I’m supposed to fly up with her. Get out of here. Go, go, go, go, go. Wait. Solid TV. [Music] [Music] What? What? What? What happened to Solen? Did Did she just die? Did Did I think she gave us her protection and she died? And so with that, we have successfully defeated the Avatar of Empessness, but at the cost of losing Solen. Now, our final task awaits us, the final god that we need to fight. We head on over to the abyss to pick up the terminus. Once an item used for the boss, Russian Calamity now is used as a teleporter to the Nameless Days Battle Arena. And I’m just going to let you guys witness and watch this fight and everything about it because I can’t believe that you can make something like this. This blows my mind. But yeah, enjoy. Your final test begins. Oh, it’s beautiful here. Ooh. Um, it’s here. [Music] Oh my gosh. Wait, there’s a sky limit. [Music] dude, he threw a black hole at me. When you listen yourself down below. Heat. Heat. [Music] What? He took my balls. I was using them as a quad. I have no idea what’s happening. I’m dead. Oh my [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] I’m scared. [Music] That’s good. Heat. [Music] [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. No way. That’s No, there’s no way they end it like that. What? What? Um, what’s with this health bar? I actually still don’t know what that health bar is. But now with that being said, that is every single boss in our brand new Terraria Calamity journey. namely the bosses from the Hunt of the Old Gods, Wrath of the Machine, Wrath of the Gods, and the Calamity Overhaul changes.
