NEW MINECRAFT UPDATE – GOLEM DELAY, VIBRANT VISUALS FIXES, & COLD BIOME REVAMP?!

Ah, yes. Minecraft developer Fisk. You might be finding yourself wondering like I where in the heck are Minecraft snapshots? Well, now today, thanks to Fisk, we finally know. My favorite part about being in Sweden is going on vacation in June and then not showing up to work again until November. Ha. Wish I could be like a Minecraft developer, but instead there I was this morning sitting at my desk typing away, working on some important projects that you’ll see very soon. At the same time, I was thinking about my new survival world. My not to brag too much, but beautiful brand new villager breeder, and I was doing a little bit of planning. There’ll be a live stream tomorrow from this very world at 3 p.m. Eastern. Sorry, I was sitting, writing, waiting, thinking, contemplating. But maybe most importantly, in between my manifestation sessions, I was smashing the refresh button on Minecraft snapshot 25w29a, hoping, praying, begging for not only the return of the snapshots, but of course the copper golem. Then bam, all of a sudden, out of the blue, brand new Minecraft update. Hey, it’s not 1.22. I don’t know why I showed that. On top of that, two updates, a little bit more on the copper golem, and potentially some cold biome teasers and vibrant visuals Java as well. Smash that like button, subscribe. We’re so close to 1.9 mil. And let’s do this. Oh my god, the copper golem. This thing is amazing. It’s wonderful. It’s amazing. It’s wonderful. If you are on Minecraft bedrock edition. So for a handful of weeks now, about half a month, us over on Java have been waiting, wondering, wishing, and dreaming of the copper golem coming to the game. Today, I’m here with bad news, but also kind of good news. The bad news, this new Minecraft update on Java 1.21.8. Unfortunately, I was really hoping that maybe we get a surprise experimental toggle with it, but no, they have neglect. Pretty tragically, not a statically, the copper golem is not in Minecraft Java today or the new update. On the bright side though, the Minecraft Java devs, every single year they take a break at summer. That break extends all the way until November. This is exactly what Fisk was talking about with the Minecraft Java team releasing 1.21.8. I I think we’re still back, guys. Throwing things back a couple of weeks ago, if you could remember, Minecraft 1.21.7, 21.7. Right before the Java devs went on a break for the summer, they released an update with lava chicken, beautiful good boy painting, and then they announced that they will be back with the next snapshot in a few weeks. This week, it marks 2 weeks since the dev said they’d be back in a few weeks, next week. Now, boy, the temperature feels right for that to be a few weeks. So, it seems like at least some of the Java team is back and ready to go. I would educatedly guesstimatedly say the copper golem might hopefully be coming to Java next week. And the copper golem update when we see it on Minecraft Java. I kind of anticipate there to be a little bit more. So guys, since the copper update on Bedrock Edition a couple of weeks ago, I’ve been messing. I’ve been testing. Most importantly, I’ve been thinking, where did you get a chest from, bro? What the heck? Are you breaking blocks? Now, this all dives into a little bit of a theory here, but I believe there is definitely more coming to the copper set very soon. For one, I want to start with the nuggets here. Of course, we got a brand new one, the copper nugget. It’s beautiful. Why in the world would they go out of their way to add the copper nugget? Like, just because I was thinking about it, and you can’t really say it’s just for the copper armor so you can smelt it down to the nuggets because if that’s the case, well, where’s my Netherite nugget then? Why can’t I smell that stuff now? Wait, what’s that? Am I a fire? No. Get out of here. On top of that, when it comes to copper, famously, the developers do not like inventory clutter. That’s probably why we don’t have ingots that actually oxidize. It feels like the copper nugget is a perfect opportunity for even more beautiful copper building blocks and things coming soon. On top of that, we got this really cool functionality with the copper golem oxidizing over time and turning into a statue. Oh, mama. That’s beautiful and is completely unused. As it stands right now, there is no difference whatsoever between any different oxidized state of copper golem. Like they can’t even maybe say link to a specific type of oxidized chest or what. On top of that, the copper golem seems utterly unfinished because right now it only interacts with copper chest and normal chest. This is despite the change log saying that they can definitely interact with trap chests and things like barrels, shulker boxes maybe even, or at the least mine carts with a chest in it. Yeah, all of that stuff is off of the menu for the copper golem. On top of that, the copper golem seems to be in a very, very early state. I think I showed this one off before, if not on stream, also in a video. Um, a cop for chest. It’s copper for chess. When they link up right now, they just lose or switch oxidization levels. This is actually so weird. On top of that, I keep going back to it, but the beach teaser with somebody digging down into the beach. You What was all that all about? I dig down in the beach all day long and I find nothing new at all. So, there’s definitely more coming to this copper update. What do you think the devs will add next? Call it down below and let’s move on. Brain’s new Minecraft update rolling out most likely this week. This will be the only video on it. We’ll take a look at everything inside it. 3 2 1 Minecraft while I’m playing it. Uh oh no. Do you see what happened there? The game kind of completely froze. Or did it? Did I just stop moving? I’m not too sure. Well, since Minecraft 1.20 21.5 originally created in March of 2025. Since the spring of this year, the game was freezing on some Intel graphics cards. Minecraft 1.21.8. It’s saying kaput to that. Entities and block entities, specifically ones that have been inside of your world for a little bit of time. So something like an armor stand or maybe more so my boy, you’ve been sitting around for so long. After a little bit of time, these entities sometimes were becoming corrupted. This is another big issue that has been in the game since the spring of this year. We can see this entity corruption happening in real time right here. Hey, kind of. It’s an enchanting table with a missing texture. Another problem that we’re having here. It has to do with the banners and weird textures going on. Or these chickens, as cool as they look, they are definitely a little bit wrong. On top of that, after playing the game for a little bit of time, your text entities or components, things like the chat over there, well, text can become corrupted as well. This is all so weird and probably related to a little bit of the visual updates happening behind the scenes. Hey, wait a second. That’s really weird in the middle, too. How did I almost miss that? Entities. I mean, of course, with all mobs being entities, they’re a pretty big part of Minecraft. Now, entities have a little bit of shading going on on them depending on the light, where the blocks are, how everything’s hitting them. You know how it goes. In order for your game to look smooth, crispy, and juicy, well, we want our entities shading to go over smoothly. No pun intended. However, tragically, since some of the newer updates here, the happy gas and the movie update, entity shading, I actually feel like I definitely have noticed this one with the happy gas going on in my world where bro has like a completely dark top, no fade out or anything like that. Yeah. So, entity lighting with all entities in the game sometimes could be completely broken. Unfortunately, it’s no epic troll. Oh, and even worse, items inside of the inventory, whether it’s creative inventory, survival inventory, or even hot bar inventory, well, sometimes the lighting on those things could be completely broken as well. Hey, yeah. Yeah. Do you catch the common theme here? It’s all about lighting and visual issues. Yeah. So, Minecraft 1.21.8 release candidate Numato Uno. It’s all about fixing a bunch of different graphical issues that have been going on with Minecraft. In total, currently in this update, we have about seven different fixes, all having to do with graphics. Quite tragically, unlike the previous update, there is no beautiful surprise painting or music disc or anything like it. Even though 1.21.7 was considered a hot fix, and so is this one. Well, I guess you could say not all hot fixes are hot. This is an update that will hopefully release very, very quickly. 1.21.8 release candidate 1 will hopefully be the first and only snapshot for this update. Now, as we know, as recently as 1.21.7 that had two release candidates, sometimes things don’t go as planned. With this update already being in release candidate phase, this means that very likely we could see the full release of this update this week or another snapshot for it that I probably won’t talk about. Now, look for this one, I’m not 100% sure, but very interestingly, in the Vibrant Vanguard Discord server recently, the Devlog was updated by Dinnerbone. He was talking all about how they were looking into a bug that affects 10th gen Intel graphics. And surprise surprise, this update, it’s all about Intel graphics. If I had to take a guess, all of this bug breaking that has happened, which by the way, I think they all occurred this year. It is definitely related to some of the vibrant visuals upgrades. Basically, the getting ready of Java Edition for the most beautiful graphics update of all time. I think like I’m pretty sure here 1.21.8 update. It’s another step towards vibrant visuals coming to Java Edition. But did you know that’s not the only Minecraft update that has dropped this week? There’s another. This one, however, doesn’t even get its full-blown own change log. So 1.21.93, we talked all about it in this video right here on the change log on July 14th. So yesterday, we got a brand new hot fix for Bedrock Edition with one issue fixed. It’s tiny. It’s minuscule, but if your game updated and you were wondering what’s changed, that’s it. Hi. Now, finally, today I’d like to wrap things up with a little bit of theorizing. Perhaps are redue for a cold summer update sometime very, very soon. So, this one kind of stems from the devs. To be honest, lately this year, they’re on something different. The devs are all into update teasers now, which is so fun. It makes the game so exciting. Well, here on the change log for 1.21.8, and eight. At the very top of it, we can see a very, very frozen image. Now, I’m no fool. Of course, this frozen image is for a hot fix, so it’s a little bit of a pun. And a lot of the issues here, they have to do with some things freezing and breaking. So, haha, very funny. It’s frozen, but I think there could be more. What if we imagine just for a second, it’s not just a funny pun, and maybe a slight teaser, too. We take things back to the spring to life update this year. And just earlier this year, the desert biome, they’ve got a bunch of new ambiance. And in fact, correction, it’s not just the desert. It’s all of the warm biomes. We got a bunch of sandy ambiance, a ton of brains, new plants, and everything like it. Meanwhile, our cold biomes, yeah, we got a bunch of new mobs, but new plants and ambiance, the exact opposite. If we take a look at what went down earlier this year with the cold biome, and this wasn’t even that long ago. Only a couple of weeks ago on Bedrock Edition, the cold biomes received a gigantic parody overhaul with brand new icebergs, oceans, big water upgrades, and tons of other polishing fixes that seemed to come out of the blue, no pun intended. This type of biome parody upgrades is exactly what went down the setup that was required for the spring to life update earlier this year. Another side note that I like to point out here, the cold biomes, they’re really, really plain and empty. And the only mob inside of them, basically, the polar bear, it looks like it’s from the ‘9s. And mechanically, it’s so out of date, too. With the missing features, the recent parody updates, and now this little post, what do you think?
