Average players still won't have a fun time doing all that fishing though, they would likely rather just go through a few more years to reach perfection, if they even want to get to perfection.

In my memory you get so much trash that the nr of eels is barely enough to keep their bait stocked up.
Or is this on a high luck day?
Barring lava eels, I think the next best route is to go to cove at daytime for (stingrays I guess?) and move on to the island pier at 6 pm for the super cucumbers.
