I Played Skyblock on Minecraft Bedrock Edition

Sky Block is one of Minecraft’s most iconic challenges. It feels like it’s been around since the very beginning of the game’s popularity. But despite how long it’s been a thing, I’ve somehow never played Sky Block on Bedrock Edition. So today, I figured I should do just that. Play through Minecraft Bedrock Sky Block until I ultimately defeat the Ender Dragon. Now, I decided to live stream this entire thing on my second channel. Go check that out if you want. Link in description. But let’s just say that I decided to switch things up a little bit. I really wanted to play the default one, like default sky block, but I thought it was fitting if we play a marketplace map. We’re on bedrock after all. I mean, you know, we might as well. So, let me do it. This definitely is not the original sky block. It’s not even close, but we’re going to do it, man. We’re going to do it. We’re going to play the OG sky block. I think my goal is to beat the game. We’ll see how easily I do that. I have no idea. And this is what we get for the entire challenge. Can I get a seed, maybe? There we go. That’s fire. We love that. I’ve never Oh, I got to be careful to not lose this, actually. So, yeah, there’s a lot more islands than just a sand island. And there’s like islands that have really OP stuff on them. So, yeah, we’re going to see. It’s going to be very different. This will not be the typical sky block experience cuz we’re on a random marketplace map, but that’s what makes it fun. And I already got a sapling, so we’re like completely chilling. This is fine. Should I use all of this on planks? I think I should, right? That makes sense to me. And I think we break the chest, too. And I think we make a crafting table. And I think we plant that. And I think we make slabs. I’m already cooking, by the way. Like, I’m already on it, dude. Is there stone down here? There better be. No stone. Wait, this is actually really annoying then. So, we’re just waiting for this thing the entire time, huh? I guess I should still make a pickaxe. Oh, I forgot. Cobblestone generator. You’re right. Oh god, this is stupid. How does this work? Oh no. Oh no. How do you make this? I’m about to get outed as a fraud. Okay, so how do we make a cobble generator? I didn’t really think this far. I might need to reset. Hold on. That’s probably a step. Is this right? Should I break this? No. What do I break? What do I do? What? Tell me what to stop spamming. No, that’s where the water goes. This Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god. Nothing happened. You didn’t see anything. I guess this is how I’m spending my days, huh? This is pretty awesome. All right. I’m going to be so rich and so cool. I probably shouldn’t have made wood slabs. I used all of my wood. Dude, everything’s burning. So now we just sit here. I I should try to bridge to other islands like ASAP. Bro, this is terrible. But the one thing I do know about this map is that you can get to the Nether and the End. There are a lot of islands that are extremely overpowered if we can get to them. And they’re very far away. Should we raise the render distance? And I can try to show you. Everything’s probably about a lag, but it’s worth it. Over there, those are the islands we’re trying to get to. There might be others, but that’s my goal. Okay. I don’t remember this in original Sky Block, but that’s where all the loots at. All right. There’s like stuff over here. I don’t know. But that’s what I care about right there. There’s like diamonds on that island, bro. And they’re massive and they’re full of wood. So, if I can get over there, that’s the dream, dude. I guess. Do I just mine cobblestone forever now? I guess I just do that, right? Okay, let’s just do that. For the next 10 minutes, I did absolutely nothing but mine cobblestone. As boring as it is, my thought process was that if I just grind this out now, I’ll be able to travel anywhere I want to and never have to worry about blocks again, which is why I spent most of my time doing this. But I did sneak some other stuff in there, too. For one, I made some little upgrades to my cobble generator setup. I also upgraded my pickaxe and placed whatever crops and saplings I had left over just around. But once it had reached daytime, I figured I should do some exploring. Should I venture off? I think it’s still storming, but it’s daytime. So, okay, we’re going to Let’s just Let’s just go back to my happy place, you know? Should I go? I really don’t want to. Okay, let’s do this, actually, since I’m so scared of dying. Let’s just put stuff in here that I might want later. And now let me venture off. I really wish I could go faster, but I’m just going to do this cuz I really don’t want to die. And there’s something over here. And it’s closer to the promised land. So, we’re going. This is so slow. If I get struck by lightning, that’s like the ultimate sign of bad luck. I should just give up now. Okay, I might actually be able to make it there. This is awful. This is terrible. I’m not doing this. Oh god. I’m going to have to go back. But that’s the promised land right there. That’s what I care about. That’s where I want to get. Okay, all of that cobblestone mining and I’ve made it this far. I probably will need more. Now I need to not walk off the edge. And for some reason, I’m like tripping out right now. The tree grew as well. Should I? Yeah, we’ll pick that up. More wood. We’re so back. A sapling immediately dropped. We love that. I’ll uh do that. All right, we’re making good progress. Slow and steady. Very slow and very steady, but we’re making progress. The rain stopped. Well, let’s bridge over to this swamp here. I can get another tree, but I just want to speedrun to the promised land. I think we’re going to have to do more cobble mining, though. But we’ll see. Hopefully, I don’t need to go to uh any other islands. I think like literally once I just get to these, I’ll be fine cuz like look at how much stuff is over there. I can just like mine the blocks that are there and we just win. Bro, do you see that? There’s a piece of string there. Why did the builders forget? Did they forget to remove it? This truly is a bedrock experience. They just I guess they forgot to get rid of string. I do kind of want string though. I That’s kind of a useful I can fish. Infinite water. You’re right. Infinite water source. I got to bring this back. That’s actually kind of big. Next stop that thing right there. I don’t know what’s going to be there, but it’s going to be useful hopefully. Okay, let’s go back. All right, I might just completely shatter that island for the most. Like I want like the dirt and everything from there. All right, this might be a waste. It probably is a waste. I’m going to make a shovel. And I want dirt so I can plant more trees. All right, we go back though. What are those other islands? I don’t know. I guess like there’s one island for every biome. I’m going to guess that’s a swamp island, but I don’t know if I really care about the other islands. I’m just trying to beat the game. And to beat the game, I think I should focus on the big islands like those, which are a little further away, but they seemingly have more stuff on them. Should I try to bridge over as much as I can? Should I keep mining? I guess sun’s about to go down. I’ll I really don’t want to die. I don’t. We’re going to get more blocks. Back to square one. Oh boy. Oh, I just kicked my desk. I ended up cutting down a few of them and planting even more saplings. So, it’s safe to say that wood isn’t really a problem anymore. But other than that, I just mined until the morning. And once it approached the morning, it was time to hit the road again. And it is turning daytime. All right, I’m making all most of this, not all of it, into slabs. And I think I try and bridge over to the promised land. All right, here we go. We’re bridging over. We’re bridging over to the promised land. I have like seven stacks of slabs. Bro, it’s time to bridge over. We’re going. Literally, look at everything that’s over there. Do you see that? Okay, I will literally never need to work another day in my life. We’ll be fine. But anyways, you see that there’s a chest there. That’s what I’m after. There’s also tons of wood, tons of wool. I’m going to go to all of these that I can, dude. I’m telling you. And we’re over. All right, I’m going to get three wool for a bed cuz I need a bed. And then we’re going to get those sweet, sweet. Oh, look at it, chatters. Why did they put this here? This completely ruins the entire point. Who needs these stupid saplings? You know what I mean? This is the bedrock experience. You know, the Minecraft marketplace experience. We’re just going to put a giant thing here for no reason. That completely makes the game ridiculously easy. All right, we love that. I have 39 logs. And there’s more right here. But we got diamonds. And we can go to the Nether. There’s just obsidian in there for some reason. I guess should I actually go to all these islands? Like I can go to the Nether now. I can wood light, bro. Should I actually just speedrun? Dude, like I’m immediately in. I think they expect you to use this on like an enchant table or something, but why would I ever do that? That’s ridiculous. We are bing chilling in the words of John Cena. We’re so fine. I actually really want to speedrun. Do I have permission to speedrun Chatters? Why not? All right, we love that. Is the Nether sky block as well? I think so. So, I probably will need to bridge to all that. Okay, how much do I have? I have I have so much wood. Okay, we’re just going to leave. I’m just going to go. I think that’ll cut it. I think we’ll be fine. I don’t even think I need to go. I mean, I could go there. The only real problem is food, honestly. All right, we’re headed home. It’s time to woodlight a portal. We’re so back now. I can’t misplace any of the obsidian cuz if I do, we’re cooked. I think I’m going to die like 40 trillion times in the Nether. But it’ll be worth it. It will be worth it because think of the speedun. All right, first things first, though. We got to make a bed. Can I even do this or does this not work? Is this game lame? I can. We love that. All right, now let’s woodlight this smelly thing. We’re gonna get blocks. What are No blocks are really useless, but we’re just going to do this. This is a little terrifying as well, so I’m just going to be extra safe. Okay. One, two, three. Boom. One, two, boom. One, two, three. All right. Now, do I remember how to wood light? I think I do. Off we go. Work. You’re lighting the wrong blocks. There we go. Sweet. Well, the Nether has been unlocked. This is so awesome. And I got a melon. Let’s just go in with only this stuff. Let’s just see what it’s like in there. If this is the normal Nether, we win the game. That’s all I’m saying. Like, obviously. I don’t think it is, though. Please load. Hurry up. Hurry up. Hurry up. Hurry up. Hurry. Oh my god. You’re just going to put me on the edge. Island locations. Oh god. Soul. I don’t have coordinates on. Soul sand valley warped forest. The end. What do you mean the end? I think we should go to the end. Huh? Thoughts on going to the There’s just one called the end. We’re in the Nether, you goober. Okay. Well, to the end we go. Negative. Positive, which is this way. Oh my god. Please. Nothing spawn. Oh my god. This is awful. That is just the portal. So, how do I get stuff? Hello. What are the odds that there’s just a chest here and it just says like here’s everything you need. Go kill the dragon. I don’t think there is. All right, let’s go. Soul sand valley. Warped forest the end. Starting island crimson. Where would like how how do I get blaze rods? All right, warped forest is 200. Okay, it’s like straight this way. You know what? Peep the tech. You ready? That was incredible. That was incredible. All right, we got to keep going that way. Let me go back. I need blocks. All right, let’s go. It should just be at 200. That’s where it said it was. So, all right. Oh my god, my game just like killed itself. There’s a spawner. That looks like a blaze spawner. If that’s a blaze spawner, that’s crazy lucky. That’s a blaze spawner. Okay, we can’t have wood being near the blazes cuz that’ll just like remove everything, I guess. Should I check? We’ll check. Yeah, there’s a blaze spawner. So, how do I get Enderman? Do I actually have to just like wait there? There’s no way. I guess the pearls are going to be a piglin thing. Oh, you’re probably right. I might have to trade. I could try to explore the other islands. They might accidentally give me good stuff. I don’t know. But I think let’s get blaze rods at least right now. I just got to make it out. I I just have to save the loot before it falls. Okay. Well, that one’s gone. Fly up, pal. Okay. Well, we lost a blaze. That’s That’s not good. Okay, we got two. We got to just wait for this thing to spawn. I guess I could break this tree. That probably wouldn’t hurt. Give me something to do while I wait for stuff to spawn. For the next couple minutes, I farmed this spawner for exactly six blaze rods. And while I died a few times, ultimately things worked out and I got everything I needed. And if you couldn’t tell by now, my worry here was less about the blaze rods and more about ender pearls. I had no idea where I was supposed to get them in order to craft Eyes of Ender and beat the game. So, all I could do was come up with a plan. I think I’m going to go to the red biome. I always forget what that’s called. the the crimson forest. That is negative. So that’s this way. Wait, no, that’s this way. We’ll go that way in a hot second. And let’s get more blocks. I’m going to hope for some way to get pearls. I don’t know, though. All right. Okay. I messed up my flow there. It lagged. I do see it over there. Do we have no spawner? What the poo? I thought there’d be Okay, so how am I going to get pearls? Uh, I guess I could farm the thing to try to make like a big plat like a massive platform. Should we go to the warped forest? I break This is like a big This is a big gamble, honestly. We go to the warped forest. I break the blaze spawner and just make a giant platform. I have six. Hopefully, I think I’m going to do that. It breaking the blaze spawner is kind of sketch. I’m not going to lie. But we’re just going to hope. I don’t know what. So yeah, we just extend what I already have out. I’m going to just make a platform that goes like really far out this way. You think that’s a good idea? This is such a gamble. I could just be doing this for no reason. Okay, so will this even work? I don’t know. But my thought process is is that they spawn like out there. This is going to take forever, bro. How does this work? Like should I just make this like a giant platform? I guess I could, right? I’m going to get more blocks. Hopefully when I come back there’s some here. We’re We’re going to see though. Okay. Yeah, this is definitely the hardest part. There might just be a way that like they give me emeralds or emerald ender pearls or something. So, I was just thinking like just like do this and then I sit back here. I just need this. That spawner is a problem. I kind of want to break it. I’m not going to lie. All right. I’m going to just break the spawner and we’re going to sit there and just see what happens. Uh, so if I lose the blaze rods that I have, we’re so cooked and the run’s over. But you know what? Game’s the game. I’m making a gamble. Rest in peace to spawner. All right, now things. Can you consider spawning in? I’m just a chill guy just chilling. So the weather, you know. Oh no. Oh no. Why is nothing spawning? Am I crazy? Did they like turn Nether spawns off? Okay, there has to be a way to get pearls. Hold on, Chatter. Should we do some Should we do some some slight cheating? We’re going to do some slight tom foolery because I need to learn the tech. Okay, we’re going to make a copy and I’m going in game mode. I have a feeling there’s just going to be pearls in a chest on a random island somewhere. So, we’re going to dupe the world and I’m going to explore and we’re going to see sky block one creative. Here we go. Soul sand valley 182. Okay, that’s this way. Does this have a thing on it? Okay, literally nothing’s here. And Basalt Deltas is this way, past the portal. There’s nothing here. Um, okay. So, the portal’s just done. What’s the fun in that? You could beat this map in 4 seconds. I genuinely think you might be able to speedrun this in 45 seconds. Okay, it’s already done. Okay, well I guess we’re preparing for the dragon now. This is the easiest sky block map ever. All right, so what is even the point of there being blazes? Why is there a blaze spawner? Oh, we just go back. It’s time for the end. So yeah, I did all of that just for the portal to be already made for some reason. And there’s not really a point in sitting around cuz my goal is to kill the dragon and I’m essentially right there. So, when I headed to the overworld, I made a ton of blocks, a diamond sword, then moved all of my other loot from the overworld to the Nether. I want everything to be in one place since it makes my plan to kill the dragon a lot easier. And that plan is to slowly whittle down its health by repeatedly entering the end, hitting the dragon as much as I can, and then dying and just resetting over and over again. I thought this was a great plan, but uh the reality wasn’t exactly that. All right, we’re going to take the stone sword first. I’m probably going to end up using a lot of wooden swords, but that’s okay. We’re just going to keep going. There’s no end crystals. There’s nothing. So, we’re just going to keep going in. And I’m going to just keep hitting the dragon until it dies. We’re going to die over and over and over and over and over again. But it’s fine. To be fair, this probably will be like ridiculously difficult this dragon fight. But you know, we got to do this every time. All right, here we go. You could bet it. I could Where’s the thing? It’s over there. Oh, here we go. I’m about to die, but it’s fine. We get two hits. That’s big. Oh, you little rat. Get over here. This thing’s got to behave so weirdly. Bro loves to perch cuz he’s got nothing else to do. There’s nothing here. This is either going to be the hardest or the easiest dragon fight of my life. You little rodent. Oh, okay. It’s getting aggro now. He’s mad at me now. But all right, we’re going back and I’m We’re bringing uh Wait, wait. I’ve never done this in my life, but we’re trying speedrunner tech. There’s speedrunner tech where if you place a lava bucket above the dragon, it just freezes in time. And I kind of want to try that. Let’s do it. I think you have to do it in like a specific spot. I don’t know. But if you just put lava over him, he just sits there. Probably going to murder me immediately. We’re going to try it. You have to do it at a specific spot or he breaks the lava. Well, let’s just hope I did it right. Oh well, that’s not good. Well, the lava’s going down. Oh my god, you evil rat. He does just break the lava. I put it in the wrong spot, so that’s not good. Um, it did not work. So, we’re just gonna big damage. Big damage. We got another hit. Ender Dragon or wooden sword. You know what I mean? Top 10 epic battles. Okay. Okay. Ooh, this is like a 100 men versus one gorilla, except the men are Discord mods. Oh, so that’s actually terrible. This is unironically death by a thousand cuts. Okay, that’s actually what we’re doing. How do I get down? I That’s how I’ll be the first to admit it. It’s not going great. You know what? New plan. We’re now back. I’m going to bring this this this this. We’re going back to the to the outer lands. We’re going back out to the weird islands over there. I definitely have probably not choked the run. We’re fine, guys. Everything’s under control here. We’re just going to go back. I’m going to mine all of this wool and we’re going to make beds. And instead of wood sword suicide, we’re going to bed suicide until it dies. I think that is the ultimate strategy. Every time it flies over to me, boom, bed. So, let’s see how many uh of these things I can make here. It should be hopefully a decent bit. All right, 30 wool. Let’s make 10 beds when we get back. And then that’s the new play. All right, 10 beds. What a time to be alive. We’re going back. And I’m going to stand on the edge of that thing where he always flies to and then suicide every time he flies up. All right, we put everything in here but one bed. This is all I need. All right. Hey, boys. All right, we’re just going to stand right here and he’ll probably fly back sooner or later. Here he comes. Let’s go. No, we just do that 40 zillion more times. We’re back. What’s his health at? That’s a good chunk gone. I don’t know how much of this bridge got destroyed. We’re just going to put three blocks back every time. Come back up, Mr. Dragon. Let’s go. Hopefully, it’s at like half health. It probably isn’t, but that’d be awesome. I have 10 beds. Surely we can kill it with 10. And if not, I have more stuff at my disposal. More wool. Let’s go. I’m trying to get it in the head. I can’t really tell if I’m doing a good job, though. That was kind of bad, but it’s okay. This is definitely the the strat over the wood sword. Okay, it’s at half health. I’ll probably need more beds, but that’s fine. Let’s That was a fire bed. Okay, how many more beds do I got? I think I could kill him. Do you think I can kill this thing in five beds? I might need a little more. We could bring back the wood swords for the finale. I can’t tell when it’s near the head or not, but I think I should just keep building up. Let me see if I can get like closer. Let’s see. I don’t know if it just goes higher up depending on where I am or if it like hits a ceiling. I think it just goes higher up depending on where I am. So, I should go lower and then put the bed up there when it flies up. I don’t know. I think what I’m doing is fine, actually. I think let’s just keep doing this. I’ll probably need to to go back to wooden swords for the final little bit, but uh yeah, we’ll see. So, I need to like as he’s flying at me, boom, boom, bed. Okay. Hello. I’m on the edge of the block. Oh, that was a juicy bed. I think one or two more. Probably two. I’m going to use my bed that we have at on the the overworld island. I’m going to break that. But I do have one more in this chest that we are also going to use. Boom. Oh my god, what a bed. Do you see that one? That was a great one. Okay, we go again. And I just wait till the last second and place these blocks. Hello, sir. What did it die? We’re going back with the diamond sword. Diamond sword. And I’m bringing blocks. I’m bringing a lot of blocks cuz I think it’s dead. I hope it’s dead. If it’s not, I’m going to need to like put it out of its misery. It’s going to be like one health, but that might be it. Go, go, go. It’s at one health. Oh no, it’s dead. Okay. Oh my god. Why does Minecraft do that? Don’t Don’t play me like that. Look, it’s in the distance. The dragon’s dead. And now I hit my little grreydy. Well, with many wood swords and many beds, many blocks, many friends, many enemies, with all of those people and things and and life out of the way. I have beaten Bedrock Sky Block. It literally took me one stream. I I thought it would take forever. It didn’t at all. I guess that’s what you get when you download a random thing from the marketplace anyway. And boom, the end. and I’m just back. That it’s very antilimactic.
