MINECRAFT JUST FINISHED THE NEXT UPDATE + BIG NEW SUGARCANE & ACHIEVEMENT UPDATE!
Zoe Mama, the next Minecraft update. Minecraft 1.21.100 looks like it’s just about wrapped up, but not before a couple of final big additions. On top of that, advancement update and a little bit of copper golem weirdness. In honor of the copper golem being the only mob mob inside of this update, please give that like button a firm tap for me. Thank you very much. Oh, now Minecraft 1.21.100. This is the first major follow-up update after the Happy Ghast update earlier this summer. As a small recap, 1.21.100, well, the update seems to be a pretty consequential update in some sort of setup in some way for whatever the next major update is, be it 1.22 or just the Copper Golem Fall update. One of our largest new functionalities being implemented inside of this new update has to do with being able to set your spawn inside of the end. Now, unfortunately, in survival Minecraft, it’s not quite possible yet. Instead, this functionality is implemented on the technical side of things and is possible with commands. Another pretty massive one that we’ve talked about in recent weeks is all of the cold biome overhauls that are happening inside of this update. If you’re more familiar with the colder biomes inside of Minecraft, and the changes here are instantaneously noticeable. The icebergs, they’re way more spiky. The ocean, it’s actually less icy. And some of the biggest bugs having to do with patchy water near where the water meets the land. Well, they’ve been squashed. The amount of biome changes are actually pretty insane. For even more on them and smooth side by side, check out this one next. Technical capabilities. Oh man, this update is definitely feeling like some sort of setup. On top of a bunch of biome parody and revamps, well, we’ve got tones of under the hood changes coming to the game as well. It’s very strange. I maybe most excitingly inside of 1.21.100, 21.100, the first taste of the fall drop, whatever the heck this thing is going to be, will make it to the game, too. That’s right. In just a couple of weeks time, with the experimental toggle enabled, you’ll be able to check out all of the copper armor and Minecraft’s most coppery golem of all time. Now, before we take a look at the final changes coming to 1.100, there’s actually a different new update that’s already out. Bam. Earlier this week, one of the most beautiful images that I have ever seen from Mojang. Oh my god, I just love these baits and been toast. Like, like I could literally sit here and take a look at these pictures for hours and the whole scene in general. But wait a second. Water wheels in Minecraft ducks. No, unfortunately not. Those are Adams. But if you like to expand your game and play Minecraft with Adams, whether they’re paid or free, great news. I’m something of an advancement hunter, even though I have like most of the advancements at least on Java. I like to play a game and get advancements. That’s why I don’t put mods in Fallout. That’s why I probably wouldn’t be modding my Bedrock game very much. However, Mojang has announced that now this new functionality has been fully rolled out. Achievements, advancements, they are now earnable inside of worlds with add-ons. Kind of kind of. They’re kind of earnable. Sometimes there’s an asterisk, a large one. The marketplace. We slide into this thing. We tap on add-ons right here. Let it load. And well, inside of this thing, we’ll be able to see tons and tons of different add-ons. Some add-ons expand, basically overhaul dimensions. Some add-ons had brand new pets, and there may be some make it way easier to get things like diamonds. Whatever the add-on is, as long as it’s coming from the marketplace, it doesn’t matter. You’re going to be able to get advancements. Even better, these advancements, as you maybe know, some of them will actually unlock a different character creator items. While earning these different advancements, even in a world that has add-ons that made it insanely insanely easy to do, well, it counts. Now, if you want to get all of the advancements easy, you might want to take advantage of the soon because I can totally see with how broken this thing is going to be of Mojang changing this late. Now, I’m sure some of you are a little bit more familiar with add-ons, but from my experience, some of the security add-ons let you literally generate a gigantic bunker. But there’s a catch here, because interestingly, this add-on functionality is kind of being gatekeeped a little bit. So, this announcement article here is a gigantic FAQ with some of the well, some of the questions of all time. The bad news comes in somewhere near the middle bottom of our FAQ. If I use a mod that isn’t from Minecraft Marketplace does it qualify for achievements. No, only add-ons that are released via the marketplace will allow achievements. We do this to protect our players and avoid mods that would allow you to unfairly earn a large Wait a second. We might need to take a look at some of those security add-ons that add diamond blocks in the game for like 46. Huh. Minecraft 1.21.100. 21.100. This update began development a long time ago. This update kicked off development in the beginning of June before the happy gas was even fully released. Sorry if it’s felt like it’s been a million years. Well, that’s because it has been. The first big thing that I’ve noticed inside of this update is this button right here. This is an undocumented change, but I swear this used to say marketplace or something. Now they’re just straight up heavily promoting add-ons. Forget about mashups, texture packs, and anything like that. They don’t exist anymore. The second thing that I noticed that I wonder if it’s going to be left alone for the full release of this update is the settings menu. It is so spacey, so completely broken, and the audio menu that the devs were working on. No further changes have been made. There were meant to be different example test sounds in here, but they still don’t play when you adjust the slider, the piston, the chest. Oh man, I am so envious of this functionality on Bedrock. If we have a chest on Bedrock Edition, I always every time I see somebody using this, I get so envious here. Um, excuse me. So, this is allegedly a fully intended mechanic of Redstone on Bedrock Edition. We can move and push and pull entities. It’s pretty beautiful. Well, it was beautiful until it wasn’t. We had a nasty bug in the game that was corrupting chests if they were moved around inside of your world. Basically, this setup right here, let’s say we had something inside of this chest. We had something else inside of this chest. that I went ahead and pushed these chests together. Well, in certain instances, the chest would be corrupted your world. No bueno. Now, with these bedrock updates, usually you could tell when they’re about to wrap up without the devs even saying anything. If the change log looks something like this, like absolutely minuscule, and it basically is just bug fixes for the most part, the update is definitely done. Usually these final small releases are basically just bug fixes and not maybe big oh my god big changes to things like gameplay or maybe in the case of the sugar cane graphics. Do you see what’s happening here? When I walk up to a sugarcane and get close to it, it now will actually fade out inside of my world. And this is going to happen to the sugarcane even if it’s not in front of your eyes too. Like this one is all the way down there. And why am I so excited about this? It’s like becomes fully invisible. So, I could like see inside of the sugar cane, maybe while I’m moving around in my farm or something. And again, this will happen when the sugar cane is small, too. However, if you can notice it here, it is only going to happen if the camera is in between myself and the sugar cane or if I’m in first person. If I’m in first person Minecraft, this camera thing is always going to happen. Now, vibrant visuals, the most graphical update of all time. If I move around in the sugarcane, same exact thing. It will become fully invisible. Well, not quite fully, but probably like 80% invisible while I’m inside of it. But that’s not the only thing here because Mojang is actually changing how ladders and climbing works, too. Kind of. So, here we are in 100% survival my world. I’ve got a little platform right here. I want to get all the way up to the top of this thing. Lucky for me, I’ve got scaffolding, vines, and ladders. So many options. If I walk over to scaffolding and say in first person here and start to climb it, you know how it goes. Usually when you’re climbing in Minecraft, things move pretty smoothly when you go up and down. As long as you’re holding down the move button, well, yeah, like I said, it’s smooth. Now, how it looked right there with the scaffolding was basically how it has always worked with the ladder before, but now you take a look at this thing. We’re going to walk up to the ladder, hold down climb, and oh my god, why am I so excited again? When I go up and down a ladder, you will actually like go up and down a ladder. You go step by step, basically. If I flip over into third person, you want to see this? Well, it’s actually really really smooth still. Same with the other third person. But first person when climbing and looking forward, you will go step by step. If I look up, then I will start to go smooth when I go up and down. But looking forward and I’m bumping. Looking forward except not looking at the ladder and I’m smooth again. But looking at whatever I’m climbing and you step up or you step down, guys, I I don’t know why this is so crazy to me. Maybe it’s because I’ve been playing Minecraft for so long and it’s always been the same. Now, you might be wondering, they changed that with the ladder. What about the vine? When I walk into the vine. Oh wow. The same exact thing happens going up and down looking forward. It goes step by step. Like I’m actually properly climbing the vine. I think at this point all we need is a proper climbing animation. And now we’ve got the real deal. You’re actually climbing things and not just pressing your square blocky body up against a block while you smoothly glide upward. Now look, I don’t want to be that guy or whatever. Like everyone’s personal opinion. I like this new effect. I think it’s better, but this is allegedly done to reduce eye strain. Um, huh. I have to be honest. I feel like eye strain was better with the smooth movement, but maybe that is just me. I don’t know. What do you guys think? Now, another interesting change that we’ve had gone down inside of this update has to do with items on the ground. When I drop an item on the ground, they will now float a little higher, like just slightly higher up on the ground than where they used to float before. I also feel like this dropping shadow is a little bit different as well, but maybe that part isn’t and I’m just used to the Java one. I feel like I can notice this item dropping thing ever so slightly being bumped up a little bit more. Graphically, this is probably happening so items will never collide. Who took those? This is likely done so items will not clip into the ground from time to time. Interestingly, it is big to note that the items on the ground will not actually be higher, though. They just appear to be higher. And bam, a Minecraft 1.2100.24. That’s just about it. From the looks of this preview right here, next week we slide into a new era. Oh, in next week’s sliding into a new era, well, I think we’re poised for something potentially quite large. If you’ve been around here a while, you’ve tapped like, you subscribed, then you might notice a pattern that typically it’s the beginning of a brand new Bedrock Edition update era. And while that is sometimes when we will see new big exciting things, combine this timeline with the fact that the Java team appears to be back from break. And oh boy, I hope it’s about to get spicy. One intriguing thing that I’ve been doing a little bit of testing with in preparation for this video, though, I’ve noticed that the copper golem, I guess, is going to remain insanely broken for this update. If I go ahead and place chest right next to the other chest, the waxing oxidization stuff, uh, it’s like literally completely broken. And the copper golems, like the different oxidization states, I don’t know if they ever intend for these to have different mechanics or what, but copper golem and memory, searching, and reach is also still really, really short. And they still don’t care to look in any other container as well. So, uh, huh. With this stuff being experimental, I really don’t see them pushing out another fix to fix only the experiments for the next update. But I I mean, I guess we’ll have to wait and see. Only time will tell. But anyway, my friends, that’s all I have for you today. I hope you enjoyed the video. Tap like, subscribe. It’s been me, Wattles. I’ll see you all tomorrow. Goodbye.

what do you think of the new climbing mechanic and sugarcane?? i feel like its going to be a bit divisive 🤔
🎉🎉🎉
Achievement stats are already worthless, it’s just one line in a config file you have to change to get achievement ability back. Even after being in creative for the entire time before that
Nah the climbing is making me nauseous 🤢
I think I’m the only person who likes the ladder change. It could some kind of arm and leg animation.
Copper golem statues😭
copper
I’m back in Minecraft baby! And yah boy waddles is still here to show me the way. Mmm flying gasts and copper tools and golem!
I love both the ladder and sugar cane changes. Maybe the ladder should be a toggle because it doesn't affect the player in the third person, so it could easily be client-side. The sugar cane should also disappear only when your head is completely within it because I don't think it makes sense to be clear otherwise
I like how this is only bedrock updates.. what about Java :/
I can't wait until the copper golem comes to Java edition.
I kinda don't like the sugar cane fading out when ya walk in it.
Might just be me not liking new changes though I understand its functionality, being partially obscured in a sugar cane farm just hits home.
But that's just my opinion.
Please make speed potions work on the happy ghasts.. if not its a useless mob almost
I did see the achevements with addons post on the Nintendo News and I'd say, that is pretty cool although I never play survival.
Okay but when we we see it actually roll out?
Take a look at minecraft's latest post on YouTube (it is a poll)
If you read the post last two words
And the second option
It looks like a hint for a future update
So technically making Minecraft pay to win with a leaderboard?
Aww, I love boating across ice biomes, looks like thats not really gonna be a thing anymore with all the holes ☹️
How can they be with add-ons and not with experiments it's ridiculous, my oldest world that I now don't play has experiments enabled and it used to be that you could earn achievements and then they took it out, probably just delete that world eventually now
As someone who has addons in his world it doesn't work for me. Apparently there's other criteria. Your world cannot be a flat world and it can't be a template. MINE IS LITERALLY A DESERT TEMPLATE So they need to work on that next. It should really only occur when you turn on cheats otherwise nothing. Flat worlds and templates worlds should be unaffected
Eww bedrock
The achievement update was so good, as someone who wants to try add-on on survival while also wanting to keep getting achievement. Great update. ❤
Wow new update
Unrelated but
Verse of the day

Stay Godblessed
I don't think the golum should look in other containers. Itl just get confused when you use them in any builds that use chest minecarts or barrels in villages or wander off to the chest boat you left nearby etc. It'd be really annoying
Idk if this is a bug or what but everytime i leave a chunk, things like conduits (that i'm using as decorations) reset to the straight position from diagonal 🤷
Ladder climb is horrible and pointless
They only added the first features
