Plants vs Zombies is now in Terraria…

This Terraria mod adds in Plants vs. Zombies to the game, and it is spot-on to the original. Let’s hop into the game and check it out. Hey yo, today we are here checking out a very special and cool mod. That being the Plants Versus Zombies mod. Yes, sir. Now, this mod is specifically from Mod Jam, which if you guys don’t know, Mod Jam is where a bunch of mod devs come together and make little tiny super highquality mods. Not like insanely polished or clean mods, but high quality in the sense that if you create something from Mod Jam, it’s going to be sick cuz I think they only have like a couple of hours to create it. Like 24 hours, something like that. And I do want to check out a bunch of them for a future video cuz there’s a lot of great stuff from it. But we’re starting with this one. That is the plants versus zombies one. Look at this. We got cherry bombs, we got peashooters, we got sunflowers, walnuts, zombie lure, son. Let’s bring some in. But before that, we need to bring my boy in. My boy being crazy, Dave. Oh, look at him. That boy crazy for sure. Even his pan jiggles when he walks. I don’t even know how that’s possible. But he sells everything that we need. For some reason, he sells blowpipe ammo. You know what? I’m going to buy this just in case. You never know. And let’s go ahead and buy. Let’s buy like five of each. Okay. Only one of each. I guess that makes sense. You only need one in the real game. And then I guess while we’re at it, we can buy the little lure, too. Yeah. If we take a look, when we hold a packet, it shows us our sun counter. So, let’s get a nice area to go ahead and plant some stuff. Go ahead and just, you know, tear everything down around us. Maybe even mow a couple lawns or two. Just get everything nice and flat here cuz sooner or later there’s about to be some zombies on our lawn. All right, so let’s figure out how this works. Obviously, we want the sunflower like in the middle slash towards the back. I don’t know where they’re going to spawn from. So, let’s do it right here. Boom. I don’t know how much that costed. How much did I start with? 650? I don’t remember. But look at that. He’s going to fill us up with even more sun. So, let’s do like three of these dudes. That’ll be a nice little core right there. And then we surround him with the peashooters. Of course, the sprites looking beautiful. This is made by that boy Martin, which makes the Martin’s Order mod, which is a very underrated terrarium mod in my opinion. So, I already knew this was going to be solid and decent quality. Let’s do two of the peashooters on each side. Maybe three. Let’s do three. And then we’ll Oh, that guy’s not in a good spot. He’s kind of close to the other one. Whatever. And then we’ll finish it off with a walnut on the end. Oh, he looks so happy. He looks so happy. And now we can bring out the lure. Let’s do it. Bring him in. A huge waves of zombies approach. Uh-oh. Let’s see. That ain’t a zombie. That’s a slime. Oh, still merked his ass. Anyways, but this is so sick. I’ve always wanted this in the game. There was a mod a long time ago that I covered a video on. Oh, where are they shooting at? Oh, just a slime. There’s a video I covered a long time ago that was a very older Plants vs Zombies mod, and I don’t remember how good or how bad it was. I might have to rewatch that video again just to see, but it definitely wasn’t anything like this. I think all the the plants were in pots. And I think it was more of a summoner class than actually being, you know, plants versus zombies themed like this one. Like fully dedicated to the OG base game. Where are the zombies at? Are did they lie to me? There we go. Look, brown coat zombie. They actually got the zombie fits. He spawned a little far from everybody, but it’s all right. Oh, what happened here? Where? My dudes are missing. Did somebody die while I was gone? Okay, here. Let’s move, bro. Over here and go ahead, boys. Take them out. Yes, sir. Now, that’s plants versus zombies. Yo, I wonder how good this would be against like the old ones army. This seems like this would be a solid group. All right, since I don’t know how to get the like waves to work normally, I might have to look into it a little bit more. The thing is there isn’t too much information. It’s a oneanddone mod. So, I guess the best we could do is just bring in zombies. Like, literally spawn him. So, let’s peep. They got Oh, flag zombie. Ain’t this the dude that’s supposed to come out first and lead everybody. So, he spawns in and then like a bunch of these dudes spawn in behind him. Go ahead, boys. Go to work. I wonder how many hits the walnut can take. How many times can he bump into the walnut and be good? You know, I do also want to see the cherry bomb. Of course, we got to see the cherry bomb in action. So, bring in some zombies. They’re not even walking the right way. Blow them up. Oh my god. Now, here’s my question. Maybe because it’s not night time, maybe they’re not working correctly. But I mean, you play for zombies during the day, most of it with a couple of nighttime levels. So, let’s make it night time. Maybe that’ll fix everything. Okay, there’s regular zombies. I mean, I guess technically that works, right? Oh, there’s the flag zombie. Okay, it is working. Let’s bring in some more uh you know, peashooters. We can never go wrong with peashooters. Now, like I said earlier, this is probably going to be a one-off mod, as in like they’ll probably never work on it again, unless we give it like a bunch of traction from like a video like this, cuz I would love to see a lot I would love to see a whole Plan versus Zombies mod, like a fully detailed one. I’m talking about with enemies and bosses, you know? There’s a lot of content to go off of nowadays cuz you got things like Garden Warfare, Neighborville, you got Plants for Zombies 1, two, and I think three exists, doesn’t it? I don’t know. I only play one and two. I I heard three was very weird, but they got a lot of content to work with in terms of plants you could use, zombies you can use, like everything. So, I would love to see it. So, you know, at the end of this video, make sure to check out the mod, leave a comment, like the Steam Workshop page, all that. All right, so now the thing I want to see is apparently the zombies can trample your uh dudes. Oh my god, look at that. He just did them like Super Mario. So, yeah, if they actually get to them, yeah, good luck. They’re they’re dead. They’re getting trampled on the the walnuts, though. They’re They’re strong. I wonder do they actually break or not? Who knows? It looks like, bro, he’s he’s withholding. He’s standing in there. Okay, here we go. Blow everybody up. Damn. Except for that guy, apparently. On the Steam page, though, it says that zombie waves that spawn clusters of zombies when it becomes available. The first three can happen naturally during the night or in a graveyard. So, I’m wondering, let me go to a new area here. For some reason, my mini map isn’t working. Let me go to a new area. Let’s just step over here to the left. And I’m going to make this a graveyard. We are in a graveyard, but I don’t see any of the zombies. I can hear them. Like I hear them. They have a special like groan that they make every now and then, but I don’t see them. I haven’t pressed like the lure button yet, though. So, I don’t even know. It does take you a minute to actually get your hands on some sun, too. So, I actually like that. It’s kind of balanced. Yeah. Let’s click on this again and let’s see. See, you hear that? That’s That’s their That’s their zombie run. They got that solar eclipse zombie noise, but I’m not seeing nobody. I I really don’t know how this works in terms of like spawn rates and stuff. So maybe that’s something that they got to tweak in the future. There’s a raven. I got my team ready. I’m trying to defend my spot right here. What I really want to do though is the old one’s army. So I think I’m about to set that up right now. Okay, old one’s army is here. Can my boys do it? Let’s see. I’m going to set up I’m going to just keep them set up down here. I feel like they could do it if we just guard the main area. Let’s see. I’m kind of already out of sun, boys. I hope you do good here. Hold up. We could make this not a graveyard. No, we can’t. I I can’t use my pickaxe anymore. Oh, look at that. That’s solid damage. I am on a journeys mode, but still, that’s solid damage. Hold it down. I kind of wish that there was like one or two more like offensive plants, specifically like the chomper or something else. Maybe the just repeater or what’s the what’s the triple one called? Whatever the triple one’s called. Even the ice one. I wish there was a little bit more variation for the default guys. Now, the thing is these dudes might be OP cuz I think it’s only the the zombies specifically from the mod that could do damage to them. Let’s go ahead rush the next wave and just see how good these dudes are. Like, can I really just sit here and dominate the old one’s army? The old one’s army has given me troubles in the past, specifically the later ones. I think till this day, I still haven’t beat the third wave of the master mode one cuz there’s just too much going on during that one. And I’ve done that one during some of the runs specifically catered to beat. Yeah, I could even use ballistas and stuff on top of this. Like we really could just be OP. My boys are are chilling down here though. They got the middle unlock. They got the outside unlock. Now here’s the thing. We should definitely get a walnut out here. Boom. I don’t know if that’s going to stop these guys, but you know, at least the vibes are going to be right out here. Boom. Again, I can’t even see them over here. Look at them. They’re just bodies on top of bodies. And once I get a little extra sun, I can help the boys out. You know, hit them with a cherry bomb or two. All right, here’s the part that might be a problem is the uh the wyverns. Uh come on, boys. We need you to take out those wyverns. I should have set up some like aerial platforms or something. Hold up. Just stack them all on the crystal. They’re bound to hit them. Uh-oh. They only shoot a straight line. This is our is our weakness. I got to help out myself. I need like a a plant themed weapon I can do damage with. Shoot. I guess the blowpipe. Maybe that was why they’re giving me uh ammo, just so I can use a blow pipe weapon. Here we go. Blow gun specifically. I don’t think I’ve ever used this thing in my life. There we go, boys. I got y’all. You know, I know a thing or two about blowing pipes. Wait, hold up. Not like that, though. I’m starting to notice they do eventually disappear. I lost all Oh, not the wipers again. I lost all three of my sunflowers. I just had to replace them. Look, and I lost the peashooter. So, you can’t just have them sit there as like turrets over time, which I guess makes sense to balance them out since they literally just don’t even die to regular enemies. That or there’s a certain limit you can have. That might be a possibility, too, cuz I do have a lot. Oh, the dark mage. What size is he on? I need y’all to show to me that we can beat either the dark mage. Where is he? I I don’t know what size. Oh, he’s on the left side. Hold up. Let’s drop a cherry bomb on him. I have just enough. Hit him. Yo, that was a good chunk. Now, I need some more. Hey, we got to stuff these wers, yo. I I need the cactus or something. He’s the one that fought like the aerial balloon dude, right? I need the cactus or I need like the the the lobers, the cabbage and corn lobber that I just need 150 sun. There we go. 150 sun. Drop another bomb on him. Oh, we’re looking good, boys. We looking good. We got this under control. Once he gets on the same level as a bunch of the peashooters is over. That’s a W. I’ll take care of the wyverns for now. I’m having a little bit trouble doing it cuz this this weapon is terrible. Okay, and I’m back. And guess what? I got 150 son again. Dropping on him. Yep. Come on. If he comes a little bit closer, a little bit closer, he’s going to step into the range of all the peashooters. Look how close he is. Oh. Oh, come on. He’s edging us. I might just have to wait for the 150 sun again. He He’s hovering over the peashooters is my biggest weakness. Okay, hit him again. One more hit. One more. Come on, Sunflowers. Come on. Nobody wants to shoot him, bro. He’s right on your guys’ level. That’s perfect. Oh, Da. Yo, you’re an MVP. You right here. This dude right here specifically. MVP. All right, let’s bring the light back to the world because I hate being in a graveyard for that long. Oh my god, so beautiful. Look at all the light. But yeah, it’s a great little mod. It’s a fun little mod that came out. I love it. I hope there’s more that gets added on and I hope that’s just not a one-off. So again, make sure to show some love so we can make it like a fullon mod cuz the sprites are amazing. The animations, like look at them bouncing around. We can’t really see the cherry bomb there. I I’ll put him in a more clear area. He’s kind of hard to see cuz I kind of put them on enemies. Like everything about it is beautiful and it’s literally just scratching the surface. Literally like 24 hours, but however long you have for team mod jam. The zombies are cool. I mess with them. I would love to see more like the bucket head and maybe even the special ones. Crazy Dave is probably the best looking sprite here. Uh the funny thing about him is when you kill him, it says Dave the crazy. But it’s amazing, man. I mess with the heavy.
