Why KROBUS is the BEST ROOMMATE In Stardew Valley 1.6

Hey, hey, dear farmers. Today we do a deep dive that is long overdue. That’s right. We’re checking out everything there is to know about Crobus, the best Robus. Crobis is one of the lost characters we meet, but definitely knows how to leave a good impression. A community favorite and the greatest roommate in Stardw Valley. Before we jump in, remember to like and subscribe for more Easy Lily. And be sure to comment Crobis if you learned something new or you just love Crobis. After donating 60 items to the museum, Gondor will show up at the farm and gift you the rusty key to the sewers. Enter and you’ll find Crobus himself. Crobis is a shadow monster similar to those found from floor 80 in the mines. Unlike those brutes, Grovis has broken away from his people and fearlessly chooses to interact with a human to sell his wares. And he actually has some great stuff. A few void items, blueprints, the wizard’s furniture catalog, and a whole star drop scraped together 2 million gold, and you could buy your very own return scepter. There’s some rotating stock as well, which is usually a limited amount of some rare item. If you’re lucky, Crobus will stock an aridium sprinkler. But did you know that if you visit the sewer shop with a second farmer, Crobis will let you buy an extra iridium sprinkler if you both open the shop at the same time. Crobis can sell you a sign of Yoba and this is the clearest indication that he has a deeper connection to the fabric and nature of the valley. Crobis also takes a vow of silence on Fridays as a sign of his faith. This simple gesture has been solidified in 1.6 since Crobis will no longer confront the dwarf or go to the movies on a Friday. Crobis is a great fan of the cinema, though, just as long as he’s munching black licorice and watching Mysterium. It’s the only movie he enjoys, even though he doesn’t agree with the depictions of his people. My guess is that he misses them and just enjoys being able to see them in a way. Interestingly, we know that Crobis doesn’t age at all. I wonder if it’s a trait of all of his people. The ones I encountered in the mines were uh definitely able to die. Sorry, Crobis. Even though Crobis doesn’t sleep at night, he will still pause out when watching any movie but Mistrium. Crobis is a fan of all universally liked gifts, including Magic Rock Candy, Prismatic Shards, Rabbit’s Feet, and Starrop D. Diamonds are a Crovis’s best friend, and he’ll love iridium bars, void eggs, void mayo, monster musk, and surprisingly wild horse radish. Even though he very much dislikes any other forage. He uses the musk as perfume and the void mayo as moisturizer. He’ll also cheer if the farmer drinks void mayo in front of him. It’s so cute that Krovis loves items that he can use for self-care. But even so, if you simply stock up on Wild Horse Radish in Spring, you can very easily find yourself in his good books. And speaking of books, Crobis is a big fan of the Monster Compendium. He’ll even recognize some of his old friends. His birthday is the first of winter, so it’s also quite easy to remember. As you can imagine, Crobis doesn’t live in the sewers for the views. He enjoys a humid atmosphere and is very sensitive to sunlight. At three hearts, Crobis will be filled with a burning desire to make your life on the farm a bit easier. As a shop owner, he knows the value of a well organized inventory. So, he asked the wizard to help send you the dark sign blueprint. Similar to the wood and stone signs, you can hold an item and right click to make the sign display the item you’re holding. It’s great for fish ponds, too, since it will show the type and number of fish in any given pond. If you want to save your precious wooden stone, the dark sign comes in handy. It’s not gamechanging for our farmer, but it’s nice to know that Crobas is trying to help in his own way. Crobis is not datable, but will move in as a platonic roommate once you reach 10 hearts. Buy a void ghost pendant from the desert trader. No wedding, but he’ll still get his own room and may even change up the wallpaper and flooring. Kisses are replaced with hugs and hearts are replaced by smileys. Crobis can’t have a child since your relationship is purely platonic, but he will interact with the children from your previous marriage. He gives thanks to Yoba and calls them a blessing to any household. Krobis won’t visit the sewers to manage shop anymore. Probably since traveling back and forth would be way too stressful, even with his really believable disguise. Instead, his normal spot will be replaced by a magic chest with the same shop inventory. Crobas will never get jealous when you give a bouquet to someone else, but he can be evicted, and he’ll take it pretty hard, too. Kobas won’t speak or accept gifts from the farmer, but his memory can also be wiped from the shrine in the witch’s hut. Like everyone else, Crobas rarely ventures outside unless it’s raining, but he’ll make an exception once you reach 14 hearts. Go to the beach at night on a non-rainy day, and you can catch Crobis hitching a ride with a terrifying sea monster. When returning, he’ll show a heart. Could this sea beast be our shadowy friend’s one true love? At high hearts, Crobus will be hopeful for the future of his species and coexistence with humans. Crobis may even mention that you nibbled him in the night and said he tastes like black licorice. Now, I’m not saying he’s made of licorice, but both dislike direct sunlight. You can be the judge. Or perhaps Grovis was cooked up by an aspiring chocolier using void ingredients. any excuse to mention Concerned Ape’s next project. At low hearts, Crobas will feel insecure and convinced that you dislike him for his nature. He’ll even go as far as to say that he misses the sewers. No matter the hearts, if Crobas has moved in, he will save you when passing out in the mines. Crobis will unlock the mutant bug layer for the farmer when doing the wizard’s magic ink quest. There’s also the winter mystery quest, which will require you to interact with this bush. A random shadow guy will pop out and gift you a magnifying glass for finding secret notes. A new addition for Crowis in 1.6 is his portrait, which will be stocked by the traveling merchant once you and your shadowy friend reach 14 hearts. We know that the shadow folk and the dwarfs were at each other’s throats for almost 1,000 years. Even though Crobus says the war is over, he still fears for his life should the dwarfs discover him above the surface. We have a few theories about this conflict though. First, it could be related to Crobas’ connection to Goba if we assume this connection is true for his skin as well. It could be an underlying reason for the dwarf’s contempt. I like the theory that our grandpa, the wizard, Lionus, and even Marlin caused the war to end. It’s possible they took the dwarf’s side and worked together to banish the shadow folk to the underground before establishing Pelican Town. But are Crobas’ brothers and sisters truly banished to the underground? Perhaps the spell is waning. Or maybe they’re just still too afraid to leave except for Crobis. There’s even a farm type where monsters roam your fields at night. So, they definitely can venture out when in the mood. I’d love to hear your theories about this though. Now, with all the previous information on this little bro of ours, you might still be thinking, why does almost everyone in the Stardy community love this little guy? For most of us, we feel some kind of kinship towards Crobis since in some shape or form, we all kind of feel misunderstood sometimes, just like him. Crobis is a dark little monster feared and deeply misunderstood by the normal towns folk of the valley. Most of the marriage candidates will reach their full potential and be content with where they end up after their non-marriage heart events. Like Shane finally healing from his depression by getting some help and being happy with Marne and Jazz and of course his chickens. A real happy family once more. But once you marry him, all of that is taken away from him. Shane is but one example of this. Grovis is of course the exception to this as he no longer is all alone down in the sewers, but is instead your roommate. He rarely leaves the farmhouse, doesn’t sleep, and is there to greet you after your dangerous mining adventures, even if that is after 1000 p.m. Even though you can’t have children with Crobas, he will still take care and give attention to any that you have from a previous marriage. So, not only is he adorable little guy, but he also doesn’t get jealous. These are but a few reasons the whole of the Stardio community loves this little black monster. And if you are one of the few that don’t, what is wrong with you? Crobis is a kind-hearted, sensitive, and caring creature which has struck a chord with many farmers. For those bogged down by the stress of relationships, marriage, children, etc., Crobus is a breath of fresh platonic air.
