So, when we first started dating, I was going to Thanksgiving, which is a United States holiday for anybody outside of the US. Um, I was going over for Thanksgiving with his family for the first time. It was our first Thanksgiving together. And we were doing some grocery shopping the day before. We come across in our um local grocery store uh local grocery store these dried like freeze-dried um garlic cloves. And we’re like, “Oh, that sounds really interesting. Like that could be really really good.” Like as a little bit of a snack, like just one or two. We get it. I try one. I’m like, “Oh, absolutely not.” Hubs loves them and proceeds to eat like a quarter to a third of the little container, which isn’t like so little. And um you know him and his two brothers, they get like they hit a bottle of whiskey pretty hard that night. They hit the sauce like Pam that night for whatever reason. And uh just having a good time, you know, like being brothers, being bros. And uh then I come over the next morning. They’re all sleeping it off and everything like that. And I am the one that’s set to go and wake everybody up. Um cuz mom and I are already in the kitchen like getting everything done. Mother-in-law and I are doing that already. And uh okay, it’s time to it’s time to get up. You can make a decision to help now or clean up later. So, I go around and I go I open the door cuz he stayed over at his mom’s at night. I open the door to the room and I’m hit just with a wall of garlic and sweat. I’m just hit with like almost a physical wall of garlic and sweat. The smell was so pervasive. It was so much. He smelled like garlic. He literally exuded like cooked garlic and Italian food for probably three or four days. Probably three or four days. I died. It was so funny, but also like I had to walk away. It was so bad. Oh gosh. But yeah, so hopefully that was a good hub story. That was a good hub story. And he won’t be mad at me for sharing that.
