These Official Terraria Mods are CRAZY GOOD!

These official Terraria mods from the team mod loader mod jam are amazing. These are easily some of the most unique mods I’ve ever seen. So, let’s hop in game and check them out. Hey yo, everybody. Today we are here checking out what I would consider official Terraria mods. A part of the first, I believe this is the first official T-mod loader, Mod Jam. So, Mod Jam is where a bunch of talented modders and other people get together to create mods with a certain theme in a certain amount of time. So, it could be like 24 hours. It could be like 72 hours, you know, something like that. And today, I have chosen a couple of my favorites, even though I haven’t really played any but the Plants vs. Zombies one, which we did a whole video on and the Majora’s Mass one, but I picked a couple that look cool. Let’s check them out. But yeah, let’s start checking some out. Let’s do one of the ones that I think are going to be really fun. That being the Turunky one, which is Spalunky and Terrarian 1. Two of some of my favorite games. Splunky. Splunky is amazing. I’m kind of sad I never like played more Splunky 2. I think it just came out at a bad time. And also, it came out on PlayStation first. Yeah, let’s let’s just see what’s popping. So, there’s a whip. Of course, the whip from the game. And the whip from the game is very good cuz, you know, it’s killed literally like the devil and other scary creatures. And it looks like it does stun enemies. Watch this. Boom. Stunned his ass. God, I’m seeing stars. Pretty cool. But the main thing we want to check out from it is of course the boss. And the boss that it adds in is Mech, the great old one. Come on. We know about Mech. Let’s bring my boy in. Oh, he spawns right above us. Okay, he doesn’t crush us right away. I don’t know if this sprite is changed at all to fit Terraria or if this is legit just the old mech sprite cuz it legit looks like the just the regular old Meme sprite. They lowkey should have took the one from the original Splunky back when it was pixelated. Yeah, it’s the Mech boss fight. He doesn’t break blocks, so it’s kind of weird. I kind of wish he broke blocks like he normally would. Yeah. Let’s see what happens when he lands on top of us. Oh, I dodged it. Oh, there you go. He did 100 damage. We We are in master modes, though. I expect to take full damage. He doesn’t actually hurt you like the base game where like if you just touch him normally, nothing happens. He’s kind of supposed to be like a brick wall when you touch him from the left or right and you can ride on top of his head. Pause. So maybe in the future that will be an addition. Again, these are mods made in a very short amount of time, so I don’t expect insane detail. But hey, Mech is Mech. I love Spelunky. I love Terraria. Combine both together. That’s Peak. That’s Peak to me. There might be some more in it. Oh, he actually does spawn in enemies. Wow, that’s something he does in the base game, too. When he gets later into his boss fight, he just starts spawning in enemies. It’s kind of cool how it’s like a random variety of enemies, like mainly jungle themed ones, but then a couple other ones. Wall creepers. Okay, I’ll mess with this. This is a great fight. Again, not super detailed. And I do wish that he broke blocks more like his original fight. Cuz in his original fight, if you guys don’t know, he’s supposed to break blocks and there’s supposed to be a pit of lava underneath us. So, the goal is to get him to break blocks until he falls into that pit of lava. So, I kind of wish in the future if they add more to this mod, they add in the little arena with the lava pit. That would be nice cuz his whole his whole mechanic is breaking blocks and they don’t have it in it. That’s a little only upsetting thing. But, let’s take my boy out. See you later, old mech. And of course, he does drop the little whip, which that whip low key, that might be a top tier whip. Short range, but stuns enemies. Like, come on. That’s OP in Terraria. There is also a trap this mod adds in called the crusher. Oh, I mean, it did crush the god. I have no idea how it actually works, though. Oh, it’s the eyeball crushing trap. That’s what it is. I was like, how the hell does this thing work? Okay, so this thing is actually OP as hell in the game. It could it could legit insta kill you. Well, that’s like everything in Spalunky if we’re being honest. I just completely forgot that thing existed. Yeah, let’s move on to a more surface level mod. That being the Bellatro mod for Terraria. It might have a different name. Bolriaria. Blotaria. Let’s talk to my boy here. Poker is so good. It has its own damage class. Yes, sir. That’s right. The poker class. For all my addicted gamblers out there, you now have a class that you can use. Look at this. Now, the question is, well, what do we even do here with this class? Blank deck. Analog anal anoglyph deck. I’m out of gold. How How do I not have gold on my character with infinite everything? Okay. And then we got a regular joker. So, this is an equipable to increase our damage. Oh, makes the bell noises. Fool’s cap. Not just the fool, but the whole coliseum. M. Okay, let’s put this on. What does my character look like with this on? Look like a fool. So, what do I do here? How does this work? We got a regular blank deck, which seems to just shoot cards. If we look at the mod itself, Oh, there’s a lot in here. What the heck? So, I’m assuming the deck Oh, yeah. The deck is what affects how your weapon works. So, I’m assuming this is a deck throwing a thrower class sort of class. So, we got a blank deck which is uses default cards as ammo and then we got the anoglyph which doubles the amount of cards thrown. Let’s put this joker on. Give us some extra damage. So, we could take these blank cards. We can use them with a blank deck. We’ll throw one at a time or we could use the anoglyph deck and throw multiple at a time. Now, what I’m assuming is we could take this blank deck and turn it into a bunch of other decks. Yep. Just like all the other decks in the game that we could make. What do we got? We got abandoned one. Even the ancients played poker. We got the black one, which just does more damage. That’s it. We got the blue one, which has I don’t know, more speed maybe is what it looks like. Bone deck. I like that one. That one looks sick. Green deck. Magic deck. Red deck. Okay. So, like half of them don’t even do anything. But I’m assuming it’s because we got to turn them into something cuz some of these are materials. So, which one is a material? Okay. This one. So, the black one goes into the checkered one. A combination of the red and black decks and then goes in the chromatic deck. There’s so much going on. I don’t know. Let’s just grab them straight up instead of looking at the recipes. We’re only going to grab the cool ones. Okay. This one drops a star from the sky occasionally. Maybe they just don’t have the description of what some of them do. Liberated deck. Wo, this one’s quick. Ghost deck. Does this go through like blocks? Wa, we shoot like little tiny ghosts every now and then. Dungeon deck. Wo, even more ghosts on top of all the cards. Okay, some of these are pretty sweet. Chromatic deck has to be crazy. Oh, it just shoots a different type of card. Ah, maybe that’s what the decks that don’t do anything do. They convert the base cards into special cards. Okay. Okay, cuz I’m assuming we could get all types of cards. Yeah, regular cards, gel cards. So, these are ones that bounce. Ghost cards go through walls. Green ones, I don’t know. Magic ones summon stars. Red ones, I don’t know. This one’s soggy. I hope by just regular water and not any other liquid. Undead ones, yellow ones, black ones, blue ones, abandoned ones. So, there’s just a lot of variety in here. Some things probably do need to be listed what exactly they do cuz it definitely does not tell you like what half of them do. So, hopefully in the future they do that. Again, it’s a short amount of time they had to make these mods, so I expect some errors like this. And then, of course, on top of that, we got all these accessories. DNA chance not consume cards, poker damage increase, eightball, one in eight chance to apply random buff. Like, this is a pretty cool idea for a class. It’s definitely something that could be expanded on and made way cooler. Moving on from that though, we’re going to check out a boss. Let’s go to hell. I don’t think you fight, bro, but I’m going to just go here anyways. We’re fighting a boss from a very, very fun game that everybody likes. So, let’s check it out. Take this unbroken key and let’s just spawn it in. Bring them on in. It’s the Jevil. Oh my god, he’s so loud. Jevil. Jevil. I’m assuming it’s Jevil. Joker Devil. That’s what I’m assuming. Yeah, it’s a boss from Delta Rune or I don’t even know if he’s a boss. I still haven’t played Delta Rune. I’ve only played like the first hour of Undertale. I kind of want to do it on stream. What you What y’all think? Yeah. Let’s see what’s popping with my boy’s move set. It’s kind of crazy. I think he’s a post. Damn. I don’t know what he is. He’s either post wall of flesh or post Moonlord. I know it’s a big gap. It said on the workshop page. I just completely forgot what it said, but my boy hurts. So, I I expect him to be post post Wall of Flesh. At least his health bar might be glitched a little bit cuz we’re playing in master mode. And I know sometimes I can bug out health bars, but his move set consists of what I’m guessing is his uh main attacks from the base game. There’s a lot of projectiles, so it’s lowkey a tough fight. Look at that. You got to weave through all this. Oh my god. I like that he’s making like noises probably from the game, I guess, too. So, there’s actual custom quote unquote custom audio. This move kind of hard to dodge, too. It’s like diagonal spears. I can do anything. My boy keeps on saying he can do anything. Oh, yeah. Can you make Terraria 1.5 come out quicker? That’s right. Not even 1.5. Let’s get 1.4.5 first. He’s like making shadow clones of himself. I don’t know if this is just a visual thing. It looks like it’s just a visual thing. I don’t think it’s uh impacting the fight directly, but he is getting a couple new moves along with that little shadow attack or shadow clone attack. He’s like moving around in circles every now and then. Just a little bit of different AI, which is nice to see because this being made in such a short time is crazy to see anything that’s really like super good like this. Let’s take out my boy though. I think I’ve heard enough of him saying he could do anything. You can’t live. You can’t live, bro. He dropped an IOU. Here, have this and some platinum coins. True. That’s lowkey not even that bad of a item to get in return. I I’ll take it. But yeah, I’m assuming in the future maybe they update more in the mod. We’ll see. The good thing about Mod Jam is something like this. Not only do do we discover new talented mod creators, but it’s a potential base for future mods just like the Plants vs. Zombie mod we checked out. Yeah, if you’re looking at all the mods so far for Mod Jam, there is a theme. I think the theme was like a reference to a game. I believe that was the theme this year and obviously we could tell. But the last boss is pretty cool. If we look in the sky, we see a sick looking arena up here. I’m going to put the game on normal mode. Now, I saved this dude for last. I probably shouldn’t have saved him for last. But in terms of visuals, this is this is a sick presentation. Like, look at this, bro. My boy just floating in this little crystal. And we got to bust him out of there like he’s the avatar. Now, this is a Kirby reference, I believe. It’s not Metanite, it’s Galactite. I’ve only played like two or one or two Kirby games ever. So, in the comments, let me know which ones I should play. I played Forgotten Kingdom. There was another one I played. I don’t remember. Probably like Air Rider back in the day. I do own Epic Yarn. I remember I bought that for like 15 bucks somewhere a couple years ago. And that’s one I’ve been wanting to play. But yeah, let’s bust out Galactite. Let’s see what’s up. Break them on out. Damn, that crystal got crazy health. 30,000. Isn’t that how much healthc had? Bust him out, though. Boom. Galactite. Now, here’s the thing about this boss, right? This is it. This is the whole boss, right? Again, made in a couple of hours, maybe like a day, maybe even less than that. I really don’t know how long the Maj Jam stuff is. When I Googled it, it just said like Majam can vary from a couple hours to a day to blah blah blah. I couldn’t get the specifics. I didn’t try that hard, but I did Google it. But yeah, Galactite, he just flies back and forth. Visually, he looks cool. The music is bumping cuz it’s probably from the game. Visually, I’m assuming this is a custom sprite. I don’t think it’s from whatever uh Kirby game they’re from. It could be. I don’t know. But either way, still visually impressive. Why does he have 150,000 health? What? 150,000 health and he’s going to do nothing but fly around back and forth. Let’s kill him though. There ain’t there ain’t much to see. He he will do like a couple of different patterns here and there. Like sometimes he’ll slow down and just like stop. But other than that, there ain’t too much to see. But there might be some items. Let’s peep the items. Let’s see. We got a galactic alter. I’m assuming that’s where he spawns at. The crystals, the rocks. We got a trophy. We got a relic. Okay. You know, I love my relic. So, let’s see what this relic is looking like. Oh, that’s a great relic. This is This is a good mod to just throw though somewhere in a random mod pack. And I like the trophy, too. It’s a shield. Yeah, there’s a lot more other mods in Mod Jam. Uh some of them are very small/ very minor, so like I didn’t want to include too many of those in here cuz there should be a lot of mods to cover. But either way, it’s great. I like Mod Jam. I’m glad they’re starting an official T-Moder mod jam. So, every year we’re going to get some peak cuz usually every year in like Minecraft we get some peak. The thing is I think there was some unofficial mod jams the last couple years and there’s also some great stuff from those. So, maybe we check that out for a future video too. I don’t know.
