Building a Giant Castle for My Horse in Minecraft!

Hey folks, Pip here and welcome to Misadventures SMP. I am currently building the Road Builder Guild Hall as a huge castle. Today I’d like to take it up to the next level by creating a place to house my horse chestnut wherever they are in here as well. They currently are living in the recruitment center. So, click the like button if you’re excited and let’s get rocking. I’ve been a very busy flip for the last few hours running all over the server. As I had the original goal to run the Infernal Descent dungeon a few times, but realized I only had enough ingredients to craft one potion. So, I tried to full clear all of the wither skeletons to keep working on the 1,000 wither skeletons kills quest, which almost ended short as I got stuck in the pit in a weird spot and had to eat an enchanted golden apple to survive it. As a reminder, to get into the Infernal Descent dungeon, we need to craft a potion, which requires some interesting items. From there, I decided to jump into the sewers dungeon to say hello to the rats and gives them some snacks and repair all of my tools. And then I ran the sewers another three times to try and get more buckets of tadpoles to craft more infernal potions to run the dungeon again, but I didn’t get a single one. I thankfully did get a feather falling three book though, which I added to my boots for finally feather falling 4, which is going to be very nice. Then crafted a ton of buckets to go into their resource world. As I’ve decided to do this the vanilla way, I’m hunting for a mangrove swamp as thankfully we’re in a very warm biome at spawn. So hopefully that means one is pretty close by. About 25 minutes later, I found the mangro swamp and spent far too long trying to find frogs to then create a pit and start breeding them to pick up all of the tadpoles. Mangrove swamps, though I can happily spend some time in as I brought an empty shulker box to fill with mud, making sure to check in to pick up the tadpoles that have hatched. And then I spent multiple rounds waiting for all of the eggs to hatch. On top of that, I’ve filled nearly an entire shulker box of mud and muddy mangro roots. And I’ve gotten two tadpoles so far. So, this this is my life for the next while. Found two more frogs to bring in. And it looks like four of our tadpoles have hatched. So, that is lovely. Let’s see. Can I just knock you guys down in there? No. Stop jumping away. Oh, I hate frogs. Okay, that’s going to help speed things up a lot there. Yep, there we go. Now we got three growing. My shulker was completely full and I still have a ton more time to kill. And removing the mud accidentally created a mob spawning pit from all of the trees, blocking out the light. So, I decided to chop down some mangrove trees just until I was done with all of the froggies. I’ve been here far longer than I care to admit. But here go the last bucket of tadpole that I need to be able to fill out every bucket that I brought with me. So, I’m going to leave these frogs here. And I told everybody else on the server where they are. One of them escaped again. How does one of them keep getting out? There’s ah Well, there’s a fourth frog around here somewhere. I’m done. Also restocked on mud even though I already have a double chest full pretty much. Uh, we’re going to need a lot more for all of the roads and things I plan to work on soon. I wonder how much I can actually sell these guys for if we were to set up another ATM, which I’m kind of curious. How is the ATM doing? Not an ATM. It’s a vending machine. I’m not giving them money. I’m taking the money. I forgot. I never did make a way to access inside of here. So, I guess we can just jump around the back. Ooh. Ooh, one of these sold. Okay, that’s good news. That’s good news. They are getting people to come by. Nothing in there. Anybody put anything in the junk chest? Nope. Nothing in that one. Nothing in that one. Looks like a lava bucket sold. So, that’s great. Nobody’s bought any fire coral, though. But what do we have over here? Nothing. And nothing. All right. I am still in the negative from all the coin pouches I put in to make these things work. But hey, that is 500 coins for a single bucket of lava. Speaking of uh buckets though, I’ve kind of run out of iron. I made all of the buckets to get our little tadpole friends. And that was the last 30 iron I had to my name. So, let’s grab our fortune pick right here. And we can head up to the iron mine and pick up a little bit in there. I haven’t been here for a while. Uh, let’s see how much iron we can get. Curious if the fortune actually works on all of these. I know it doesn’t do a great job on raw iron, but hopefully we can get something. Right. Mobs. Forgot about mobs. What? How did I never know this was here? You can mine all of it. Oh. Oh, this changes everything. This is more iron than I got throughout the rest of the cave. You know, I was complaining that this was a little slow a while ago, you know? Just thinking to myself like, man, I kind of wish I had an iron farm. That’d be much much easier. But now that there’s just blocks of iron down here that regenerate, I mean, look at that. Look at how much I got. I mean, I still got to smelt it, but like what? That’s insane. It’s been 6 minutes for all of that iron. That’s really not that bad. Oh, and that’s right next to the exit. Oh, I’m going to have to remember that route to get down there. I’ll get back home to start smelting these things in a moment. But first, I want to visit the forgemaster. They should have a quest. Smelt 64 raw iron. We’re going to pick that up once there. And then I’m going to load a second one so that we can start smelting all of this iron here. It’s going to start counting towards everything that we have. You can already see the count going up at the bottom. Once that hits 64, I just accept it again. And we can get two of them complete without needing to go back. There goes number one. And picking up number two. Nice. And what did we get? Ooh, that’s actually kind of nice. Actually need a load of lanterns. This is going to be perfect. Number two, we’ve got an iron hoe. Less exciting. Less much less exciting. I think that is everything to make some new potions. Let’s see. Can I just Let’s go. One infernal elixir, two infernal elixir. And it takes a while to run the dungeon. So, I’ll just make more when I get back. And I do hate that it consumes a bucket every time. Two buckets, actually. You put three in and you only get one pack. Okay, Mave. I’m back. Let’s do this thing. I’ve got my apples. I got my steak. I don’t need my bed down there. Probably want my bow instead. Oh, there’s iron in here. Kind of forgot about that. Drinking the potion, I went back into the dungeon yet again and cleared it as quick as I could. This one is so hard to show in videos, though, as it’s nearly 20 minutes of content every single dungeon run. And by now, I’ve shown all of the different parts, but I just got to keep on the MMO grind to get all of these wither skeleton kills. All right, I’m getting out of here. That was so, so long. Hey, new best time for me, though. Drop another 40 seconds. But thankfully for the next round, I met up with some friends. Are we doing this thing? Are we doing it? Are we ready? We’re going to be gamers. You got it crafted. Let’s game. I’ve got it crafted. Oh, there’s there’s a barrel of what the heck? There’s a barrel of bones in here with 426 bones inside of it. It was both of their first times in the dungeon, so I kind of just sat back and let them do most of it while answering questions when they needed some help to just get further throughout it. We made it to the boss pretty quickly, and it was a very, very chaotic fight with three people in there. Take it down. Leave the room. With the dungeon completed, Pix has been wanting to join the Road Builder Guild for quite a while, but we’ve just never met up, so he asked to be initiated. Shelby decided to jump in on this, too, as well. So, they went through the same test that the other guild members have already done, and both passed to be added into the guild, which means we now have two new members. And I’ve uh really got to get working on that guild hall supposed to be sitting up top there. A big thanks to Pix as well as he said he could give me some bone blocks and skelly skulls and oh my gosh, what is all of that’s 100 skulls and how many bone blocks is that? What are these? A 10k day award. Sev sent me a wholesome mail. Congrats on reaching 10,000 days of your hardcore world. Oh, that’s so nice. Remember watching your videos while building a village over 3 years ago. I can’t believe you’re still in the same world and haven’t died yet. I know. Me, too. Love your bills. Oh my, this is so nice from Seb. Everybody go give Sunny Seb some love for me. Oh, this is such a nice mail to receive. One squid was killed to write this letter. Okay, that’s fine. Totally authentic and definitely doesn’t have any lore attached to it that I stole from Sausage’s house. So, don’t tell him. Oh, do I want to know? I don’t I Nobody tells Sausage. What is this book and quill? Oh, right, right, right, right, right. Somebody’s trying to sue the Road Builder Guild. Yeah, yeah. L’s trying to sue us. Right, right. I forgot about that one. And then a cam bam head. Oh, right. Cuz he died on the road. Right, right, right, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, right, right. Yeah, we can ignore that. We’re moving on to where I need to finally clean up this mess so I can get my life together and figure out how much stuff we actually need and how much we actually have on hand already. Oh, I have so many skulls. That’s so good. But first, from Sev, we can put our 10k day award right there. Before starting to put together a new mess of Shulkers, I cleaned out the floor space in my storage room. I just teleported in the resource world to go to the desert, and this is the best thing I could have spawned into. Oh my lord. I need like a shulker box and a half of diorite for today’s build. So, I’m going to just be here for a minute. And that is a full shulker box of diorite right there. This blob was massive. Look how far back it goes. All the way back to the caves over there. Just this whole stretch was diorite. It’s amazing. And there’s still more. But I’m going to stop at a shulker box because I hopefully don’t need more than that today. I just need to go find that desert again. Out in the desert now. I decided to pick up 15 stacks of each sand and sandstone to stock up a bit more as I will definitely need it later on for the future builds and deserts can be a little hard to come by. I’ve been crafting and gathering things from the storage room for so long now, but we’re getting up there. Oh, I didn’t realize there’s a bee in there. He can hang out over there. Just a few items left. One being a ton of stripped pale oak logs again just to get that nice white coloring. But back here in the cleaned up storage room, I’ve got bam, bam, bam, wham, shovel, and that going in here. And I’m still waiting for more glass to smelt down. I want to go with a light blue color for the windows here. So, we got to take some of our lapis that I don’t have too much of, break that down into some blue dye, and we’ll turn this into white dye to make a light blue dye for light blue stained glass. The last items I need are pretty much just a ton of pale oak here as I need um well to get started 100 pale oak trap doors and to make some fun window shapes. Why can I not craft a fence? Oh, weird. Oh, all of my paleo recipes are gone. What the heck’s up with that? Oh, I don’t know. But well, there we go. I can I remember them. That is everything I need except for the good old faithful flip. Will always need this for a build that he’s doing. And you all probably know the block that I’m talking about. I need some tough blocks. H just a few stocks this time, though. Let’s hope that we can easily find just a huge cave to jump down in and water bucket clutch it and just land on some tough. That would be amazing. Just right here. Aha. Still nailed it. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oopsies. Wasn’t me. Up we go. That’s a lot of lava. That is a huge amount of lava for one source. Stuff blocks. Yay. Oh my god, I just dug into a spawner. What? I don’t have any torches though. Oh, just regular apple. Oh, it feels good to finally be able to save this. But I’ve got everything to build the next section of the castle. And boy oh boy, I am very excited for this one. I’ve been really really happy with how this has turned out. Thank you for all the positive feedback on it. And next up, I want to work kind of going around that direction with a big old stables and like a massive tower to be able to look out everything from. And we might maybe hopefully if I can get some inspiration, let alone time. We can do some interior that I don’t know. I don’t know. I don’t want to get your hopes up, but like maybe maybe interiors could happen. To get started, I need a better space to build on. And so I’m building out the courtyard to have something to actually walk on. Now, I did just notice that the roof over here has started to age to the second and third stages of copper. And I really, really love how that’s kind of creeping across. I’m glad that I didn’t just Ooh, it’s even over there a little bit, too. I’m glad I didn’t just wax it all down as the first. That’s definitely giving me a lot of ideas of what we can add in. Now, for the floor, though, you might have seen I added a shovel. The Road Builder Guild, we have a lot of shovels around here. Okay, so we needed another shovel carved into the floor. I do now, however, want to take this archway right here and rebuild it on the back of the castle to leave out into where we’re going to have a large pasture space on the back. But I just kind of want to copy the same design so it’ll be super clean coming through. I originally copied this over directly, then decided to change up some of the shading just to make sure that I wasn’t making an exact replica of the front gate, but instead keeping the same ideas in mind when building up the different shapes. That’s looking pretty good. But my focus today is going to be building a big old stables over here. So, we need some large doors to get inside that, which for some outer framing, I want to bring in tough bricks right here to create some big big pillars that are going to be going up. And then, I think just a little regular tough right back in there. Then, you can see I’ve already marked out some two wide entryways that we’re going to be filling in throughout this point where on top I just want to do some of our little stone work in here with some chiseled slabs. And then we just repeat that right over here for a second little smaller entryway from the two big doors that we have here. This is like a little stable hand entrance of sorts as I’m really want to figure out how we can work in more of these big supports that are going to be sticking out. Almost going for like a semi- gothic style. I just been looking at a bunch of like Elden Ring things when I’ve been designing this castle and I I think it’s going to come across pretty well once we get through it all of it. So, the stone bricks are here just to make it slightly skinnier, but still also slightly wider. Then, from here, it’s going to come up to this point, and then we’re going to move into some diorite walls. They’re going to go up here even further. But then the building’s going to kind of start getting a little skinnier as it goes up, which I think is going to be super cool. Behind our little archways that we created over here for the doors, going back to those to finish them up cuz I forgot. I want to just bring a little bit of spruce in here with our strip spruce logs just as kind of an accent showing that the inside is going to have a lot more wooden detailing to it. Then going right back into the whitewash actual style that we’ve been using on everything. And for this one, I want to run at this level. We’re going to just take some birch signs that are going to go all the way across here just to give that that little tiny bit of a lip. The center looks a little awkward from down below, but I think it’s going to be all right. We can grab some jungle trap doors and our dark oak leaves as I want to really return those into the region here as we have uh, you know, a lot of dark oak leaves in the area that we’ve gathered. So, I just thought it’d be kind of fun. Let me give a little planter and another one right over here. The upper level, I want to have light blue stained glass windows that will have diorite and pale oak to help frame them out with a nice curve. These windows are going to extend across both sides of the structure, which should give it a fun upstairs space to build the interior in the future. More importantly though, I’m putting the skeleton skulls to good use on the front of the build. Bringing all of this together with a smaller window section as a third floor, then placing in the copper roof to finish it off. This here is a lot of diorite, but I think it actually works out pretty well for a grand like whitewash build, especially when you’re farther away from it. I’ll be honest though, it doesn’t really look like much of a horse stable or place to put mounts at all, but you know, we can get there when we get to the interior. It’s just going to be a really grand fancy one. Yeah. Before I start thinking about that, however, I want to build a very tall, huge tower on this corner that’s really going to change up the skyline. I really want this space to be grand, but I’m kind of planning it here as I go. So, all this means is that the main part of the castle now needs to be even bigger than I thought. I just realized I have a new neighbor. Huh. I’m not too sure when that house popped up over there, but I do like it. They have a little bit of a fire along the back there. kind of worried about that. But the tower up here is looking pretty grand. I’m very, very happy with how it turned out. Just got to find a way back down along all of the skeleton skulls. I mostly built this for the view from in here. And I think that works out really, really well. We could get a little bit more detail along those edges with some buttons. And I I don’t know, maybe some pale look buttons or even birch buttons or something could help out a lot with kind of finishing the shape and getting some better angles on it. But overall, I think that finishes off the corner here pretty nicely. And we will eventually have some sort of a wall coming along here and going over to create a pasture space. Regardless, I’ve added a custom tree here into the middle for a little bit more greenery. And since I’ve been picking up so many red tulips from the top of the mountain here, I thought I would throw those back in here too for some fun for their planter. And then we got sweet berries and some peies behind that. out in the front here. You might have caught this on my second channel, but I did a whole video talking about all of these new custom spruce trees that I built. Taking a little baby sapling of a tree and growing it all the way up to being a full grown one that’s pretty much as tall as that building. It was super fun challenge and I wanted to finally put those into a survival world. So, I’ve decided they’re going to decorate around here. So, we got three of the smaller varieties that I’m really really happy with how they turned out. And then back here near the tower to give it some more scale, we’ve got a much much bigger one of those that is also looking very cool here. And I think we’re going to replace a lot of these gross vanilla plus spruce trees with our custom ones once we can get around to it. And what is this shop? Powdered snow cafe. Oh, Philly Freeze. Wow. You can’t interact with objects here. Just kidding. Never mind. Can’t can’t buy powdered snow. But it’s also 1,000 gold per bucket. Honestly, I think that means all my stuff is priced pretty on par here, too. Oo, look at that. Oh, it’s coming together. I’m so happy with it. I’ve still got to do the interior, but I’ve been going on this thing for far too long. I need a little bit of a break. I’ve heard our first fast travel system has been added into the game, but you need to Oh, hi, Chestnut. I thought you’d be on the other side, but you need to unlock both ends of it in order to be able to use it. So, I really would like to check that out today. And I believe there’s some new locations we can explore for new quests and NPCs along the way too that we can hit up. First off, headed to the west side to build sausages done. Well, they’re actually both builds by him, but it’ll be fun. Here we are at the village of Oridia, which is looking amazing. Oh, that’s new. What is that? This is not what I’m looking for, but that is a boat, which could mean another fast travel’s been added. What? Stay here, chestnut. Don’t run away. International waters. Perfect spot for pirate activity. Oh. Oh, it’s a radio. Oh, right. I probably shouldn’t be here. Now, if we get all the way out here to the Emperor’s Rest Inn before we hit the crypt dungeon, we can take a right across the bridge. And out here, we’ve got a road that, oh my gosh, needs to be cleaned up. And finally, at the end of our journey, we reach Riverwood Hamlet, a place of lore and legend. I’ve been here before as well. Uh, I joined an assassin’s guild cuz I wanted some friends. So, uh, I’m in a one of the seven assassins of the withered hand. Now, our headquarters is in there. So, super spooky. Uh, is there a stable? There is a stable. Let’s just throw you in here, buddy. I don’t think Ash is supposed to look like that. But they sell decorative anvils, so that’s cool. Oh, they need some coal to get the forge going. That’s definitely not going. And I’m also going to buy a decorative anvil because that sounds kind of cute. Look at my It’s adorable. Okay, something might be wrong with me because they’re all like this. Oh no. So Ash is actually a dwarf and that was completely my fault. Ash, you’re looking great now. Looks like there are quite a few quests out here which is pretty fun. And I believe this is tugboat to the dwarven kingdom. So travel point unlocked to be able to reach here which is great. And now we just need to go to the far side to be able to get that one too. I did pick up quests for uh 32 coal, 64 mangrove logs. Oh. Ah. So that’s with the withered hand wrap. There’s withered hand wrap and withered hand, but slaughter witches. That’s going to be rough, dude. And maybe one final one. Fish themed Riverwood salmon. Oh, I am so prepared for this. I just got a huge riverwood salmon. Not a regular. What the heck is that? I got another huge riverwood salmon. And there we go. 10 rep with withered hand. And got a special reward. Can’t place it down here, though. Well, there’s more than 32 coal that we can go turn in right here to Ash where we hopefully get another reward. Yes. Oh, we’ve got two crates. Okay. Oh, he wants even more coal. Oh, hotter and hotter. Wait, no. Smelt charcoal. Gross. I don’t want to waste logs. The withered hand controls Riverwood Hamlet. What the heck is that? Oh, there’s another person. Also very very disappointed to say that the riverwood salmon and huge riverwood salmon same item model same size. I really wish one was like see like there’s no change. Exact same. Really wish it was like three times the size. I would definitely throw it in an item frame. That’s enough of a distraction on these quests for now. I’ll have to complete them a little bit later on and keep them moving. But for now, I’ve got to go find where that little tugboat would drop us off on the far east side of the world. What the heck is this out here? How have I never seen this before? That’s a whole temple in the jungle. There’s even a bit of a road out here. I didn’t build this. This must be OG. Longlost jungle temple. All right, Chestnut. I know you’re a jumper. Yeah. Who needs to do a maze when you got a good horse? Let my horses stop by stairs. Stairs always mess up horses. Golden monkey skulls in ones missing. I’ll keep that in mind for later. I don’t think I’m supposed to be here yet. I do need to go behind it though and keep going even farther to the east as we need to reach all the way to the coast. Well, I just got a pop-up saying I’ve entered a dwarven kingdom. So, I believe we are getting pretty close to should be on the other side of that mountain. Yes, that is our goal right there. Just got to slowly make my way down to where that same tugboat is here. Yeah, perfect. Look at that. And then we walk over on this point. Travel point unlocked. Traveling woodland hamlet. No, no, no, no, no. I don’t want to travel. Don’t don’t want to travel. Thank you. Unfortunately, Chestnut can’t probably go on the boat with me. So, that’s wee bit of a problem. But, I know Sausage is still working on this space and the interiors and all that. So, it’s still a work in progress. But look how cool it is. And more importantly, up this way, he is building a giant, and I mean giant dwarven fortress inside this mountain. And it’s going to be so cool. Look at the entrance. Oh, it’s crazy. I haven’t been out here yet. And wait, wait. I see Bubbles. Hi, Bubbles. Oh, he’s got a storage room in there. Okay, gotcha. So, for the like the near 30 minutes it took for me to get out here from the Riverwood Hamlet, if I just do this. Now granted, they’re not either super close to where I work and live, but you know, it’ll definitely be faster to get out here and I won’t get trapped in the bamboo forest again. It was horrible. It was awful. I’m just trying to wind down the 15 seconds. Okay, look at that. Where are we going? Oh, and now we’re out here at the Riverwood Hamlet. Oh, that’s so cool. And please tell me I can go get Chestnut back. Oh, hi, Sir Carlos. Okay, there’s a little bit of a cool down, but we’re headed back to the Dwarfven Kingdom now. And we are back. Oh, that’s so cool. Now, chestnut and I need to make our way back to the road builder’s guild. Back at the guild now where I’ve been pretty busy. And I also just put these chests down. And we have wither skeleton school, wither roses, and oh, I got two. Wait, we can summon a wither and get a beacon then. That’s so huge. But also, probably much more importantly, if we come up to the ramp here with Chestnut, they have a brand new home inside of the guild. I’ve done the interior of the stable and I believe we can get through the middle of the walls right there. Perfect. The fence gates got to be behind. I’ve got a little pile of hay bales over here. We’ve got a few more stalls that other people can park their mounts in if they’re coming to stop by the guild. And we’ve got a little tack room over on the side where I wanted to throw our decorative anvil in right there just for a little tiny guy. He’s so cute. But I wanted a lot of space here in the middle. We got entrance for people to come in and out. And do I have any? I’ll have to go get another fence gate. I think a spruce fence gate right there would look real nice. Maybe right through here, too, just to give ourselves a little bit more framing and something that can’t hurt the player if they’re running through. But yeah. Oh, yeah. That looks much, much better. I love that little extra bit of spruce underneath. But I’m very happy with how this has turned out on the inside. There’s plenty of space to move around and get into all the different stalls. I even broke into the wall on the outside to add some grates so we can get some natural skylight in here. And it should be super cool. We’ve got all this little space to be able to see in between with the grates and everything. I haven’t done anything up above. I’ve literally just placed that in and hidden it as I uh haven’t really figured out a way to get to the upper floor yet. It’s probably going to be something like over the top there. You can go through there and also over the top here. You can go through like a hallway on one side and some rooms maybe for guild members on the other side. And we’ll figure that out as we’re going. But that has been a ton of stuff today on Misadventures. I’ve apparently got a lot more wither skeletons to kill and wither skeleton skulls to get from the withered hand. So, thank you so very much for watching. I hope you did enjoy. Subscribe if you’re brand new. But that’s going to do it for today, my friends, for this episode of Mitch Adventures. So, I will catch y’all on the flip side where Oh, yeah.

  1. 14:45 i noticed you were hitting the done button every time you put up a sign and just wanted to let you know that you can just press escape. At least from my experience its much nicer to quickly press escape rather than the button when i'm placing a lot of signs

  2. Gotta say, probably one of my favorite builds you've done in awhile. I especially love the "horse stable" and its shaping it looks great!

  3. Friendly Correction: It was Shubble's second time through the dungeon! She just never defeated the boss before, so it was her first time COMPLETING the dungeon!

  4. Hope you enjoy today's episode on Misadventures! I really am happy with how this castle is turning out! What do you think??

  5. Idea have the road guild members have their own office room in the castle so it's there bedroom that way you don't have to fill the entire castle in

  6. When you were building out the road builders' guild I saw that cave. You and the road builders should make a Road Builders' Guild Dungeon in that cave. Maybe with a Dwarven theme.

You should also do a tour of all the roads and bridges built by the guild.

Also When did this assassin guild get started and when did you join? Was that a live steam thing or did I just miss it some how?

  7. The castle is turning out great. And i love getting to see you explore the populated builds!! The withered hand vs scarlet veil quest mechanic is a very cool detail.
