The Abyss Weapons Only Experience in Terraria Calamity Mod
Hello everyone and welcome to yet another Terraria Calamity run. Another video, another subclass that I, Fantasm, want to check out and see if it’s possible to finish the game with it. Now, this subclass is related to a specific biome, unlike in my other runs where I choose a specific class and decided to play with guns only, for example. This is the abyss weapons only, and it means that I can only use weapons that are acquired in the abyss or weapons crafted with materials obtained from there. I also extended this subass so I can also use weapons that are acquired from the sulfurosis since these two biomes are directly connected. So it makes a lot of sense. This was heavily inspired by free weapons only run and some comments and messages saying that I should do a beast sword only run. Again, for this run, I decided to play without quality of life mods and actually spend the time and don’t fake the dodges with some bluring potions from the alchemist mod. This adventure starts as any other, cutting down some trees and replanting them since I have to be as echofriendly as possible before the Terraria government tracks and hunts me down for not doing so. Exploration continues on the right side where the water changes to a purple color, meaning only one thing, that corruption is on the right side, and so is a snow biome, dungeon, and the abyss. I found a cave right after the giant tree. And since this was the early game, the most logical thing to do would be to explore it, right? This caving session starts really good with me getting my feet into a pair of Hermes boots, allowing me to reach insane speeds and never get outrun by any monster in this game. Then another pair of the exact same boots because why the hell would the game give me a cloud in a bottle? Mushroom biomes are always lovely since I could easily get some life crystals as well as truffle worms in preharm mode, making me think that I should definitely go for Duke Fishron as my first boss fight. Seeing that my inventory is full, I decided to go back home and do some quick organizing as well as working on a floating house. Nothing special, just a typical fantasm treehouse. The night started, so exploring the surface wasn’t on my checklist under this condition. So, the best task would be to do even more caving, getting my hands on a cloud in a bottle after previously complaining. Then getting another pair of Hermes boots since the game wants me to run. And guess what? Another pair. At least the spelanking session was a successful one with me returning home with no less than 300 HP. I was able to craft a topass hook as well as the megaluminous, a platinum pickaxe as well as the lucky horseshoe and a platinum helmet just for the sake of it. Exploration continued on the right side where I have reached the snowy bomb and a cave. Checked it and only found two life crystals and got out. Found another cave right after and stumbling upon perhaps the best structures that I could have found at this point considering the challenge that I’m currently doing. You see, this frozen traden laboratory happens to contain one of the most useful accessories for the next task, and that is the Arctic diving gear, which allows me to swim and breathe and also makes me shine like the sun when I’m balls deep in the abyss. Exploration continued on the left side, finding no pyramids. After spamming the left click in the desert, and eventually reaching the Jan Nest, where I found only two chests with nothing useful for this part, I guess I will continue going to the right side where I happen to find this in case no house. This actually looks incredibly cool, almost like a museum art showcase. I also reached the dungeon and noticed that it’s a green one, meaning that the shimmer can be anywhere between the beach and the jungle on the left side. Before reaching the sea, I also got in the corruption chasm and found the Calamity special chest with a lot of rotten chunks in it. and then finally reached the place where I was about to get my first weapon, the urchin stinger. A simple and consumable rogue weapon that nah, I’m joking, but it can be still considered as my first weapon since I will use some of these things in the near future. I started building a house, but the process wasn’t that simple, especially when you have a Florida man coming towards you and asking for $5 and a cigarette. I decided to dive deep into the sea and eventually reach the first layer, noticing a rusty chest with a rusty beacon prototype in it and then realizing what an idiot I am. You might know how much time I have wasted in my sentries only run because I didn’t get the rusty beacon prototype early, but rather crafted way later. My ignor said that it’s enough to check the surface. So yeah, I missed my sentry back then. But anyways, back to the game play and whoop, I’m dead. Well, at least I have the pylons, so I can access the sea over and over. But the problem is that I am way too slow in the water. So, I barely reached to fight the viper fish. And when I get to fight it, I have to pray for luck since the depth crusher is not 100% guaranteed. I have figured that I could check the surface chest for more loot and found not only the sulfur skin potion, but also the flipper potion, which helped a lot since I could reach the second layer faster and also have more air by the time I reach it. I also focused on getting the golden fishing rod from the angller using a game mechanic that is incredibly fun. Just get two flurry, kill one, it will drop the angler. Then get another flurry to kill the angller. Easy. He just got one of the best fishing rods. Anyways, back to hunting down viper fishes. But instead, I just died to sulfury poisoning and have no flipper potions left. Well, I could barely reach the second layer without that. And even if I did, I couldn’t even get to hang out the fishes because I would run out of air. So, the flipper potion is a must. I went to the planet toy to gather some more plants when this happened. Yeah, this was honestly the perfect setting for a horror movie. Darkness, blood, water, a swarm of enemies that wants to hunt me down. [ __ ] amazing. After a while, I managed to finally get the depth crusher. So, for now, I didn’t have to check the abyss anymore. Now that I have a problem with it, or I’m afraid, not at all. I continued to hunt down the blood moon enemies for the rest of the night. Then, I did some fishing in the sulfuros seas since there was a specific accessories to be acquired. The abyssal amulet, a personal favorite for such challenges. The adventure continues in the jungle where I find the last life crystal to be consumed as well as finding the sharpening station. really useful for the class that I am playing. And then crafting the rest of the platinum armor pieces. The elevator process starts, but honestly, it doesn’t serve any purpose at this point. So, I stopped shortly after. At least I got some extra platinum, so I was able to craft myself a watch because I always need to know the time. Well, it’s been a while since this adventure started. I have more than 7,000 characters written up up until now for the voice over, and yet there was no break caused by a boss fight. It is tiring to do such voiceovers, trust me. So breaks are always welcome. However, I will not just leave the boss fight and speed up the clip. I will actually make a short montage but still not commentate during it. There we go. One boss was taken down, a lot more to continue with. And without taking any longer break after crafting a brand new armor set, I just went back to the corruption and summoned the hive mine. Honestly, defeating this guy right now wasn’t really needed since it only unlocks a real life, only needed for the bundle of balloons, which I couldn’t craft anyway since I lacked five out of six accessories. Let’s go. Yeah, I suppose I will consider this fight as a test for the death crusher. And not going to lie, this weapon is incredibly good for the stage when you acquire it. I hope they won’t rebalance it after I release this video. The adventure continues in the underworld where I mine a lot of burning hot hell stone in order to craft a brand new armor set along with some tools. Then in the skies, where I go on a rampage and kill every harpy to ever exist because I am greedy. So greedy that I even spawned the king’s slime for more extra loot. Yeah, actually it was just slimy saddle that I wanted and I got it after killing king slime for like eight times. Next up, Krablon because he’s squishy like that and needs to give me two important items. Yep, the rage upgrade and the fungal clump are what I wanted. And now that I got them, I can turn even more Megalomaniac and continue my rampage against even more bosses. This time in the desert against this dried up assworm that actually gets demolished by the death crusher. Nice. A lot of bosses taken down, but still lacking mobility. So, how about I do something about that as well? Sandstorm in a bottle. All sorted. Goblin army all sorted. Or maybe not. Yeah, I guess I’m farming scouts near the beach and then raining with death crushers and rip tide projectiles. Let me absolutely beautiful. I love this subclass already. After a few minutes, the goblins have been taken down as well. So, how about I go and look out for the uh I mean the goblin stink rare. Actually, before I do that, how about I also defeat the queen bees. can get the witch doctor afterwards and get some sweet flask to help me with the DPS. Like every time, the queen bee is as annoying as your neighbor that rings the doorbell on a random weekend at 5:00 p.m. and violently ask you to lower the volume of the music. True story, by the way. After some exploring, I found the Clash Royale card that steals all my money and gives me the broken modifier and saved him. Anyways, and as I played the workshop, I saw this paid actor. Perfect for wasting my time even more. But at least I got some new shoes and balloons. So, I’m definitely cooler. As the day continued, I kept on completing side quests over and over, cutting down trees, replanting them, and thinking of how good this depth crusher is, as well as the upgrades. That made me think, would you guys be interested in a free weapons only run again, but with the abyss blades? If yes, leave a comment and I will check them after the next run. In the evening, I talked to this guy that randomly came in here and tried to sell fairy toys and got the bestformational accessory from him, the DPS meter, the one you always ask for. Then continued my adventure near the dungeon, fighting Papyrus with my death crusher, and noticing the game wants me to play catch. But instead of me catching Skeletron, he just spins away and despawns. Well, I wasn’t ending this night without any fight. So, here goes the eye of Cthulhu because my ADHD is way too strong and I have to constantly do something rather than sleeping and waiting for the next day. ADHD gets even stronger with me being all megalomaniac and going for yet another boss fight. There were close calls, but here we go. Yet another boss defeated. One step closer to defeating the wall of flesh. One step closer to gaining the best adrenaline performance since this guy gives me the adrenaline upgrade as well as some materials for a brand new armor set. Time to look for the shimmer. This being the first hell hole, then the second one and the third one. But the third time wasn’t the charm in this case. The night started, so I shifted my focus towards Skeletron, hoping that it won’t run away like a stupid [ __ ] that he is. There we have it. Skeleletron defeated. And this is an important part of this run since skeleton unlocks some new content in the biome that is the center of this run. The water filled hellhole that is the abyss. However, what I did was to check the dungeon and loot some chest while also saving the mechanic, crafting the lava charm and the terra spark woods afterwards and then build some more houses around the world. Now it was the time to check the abyss layers and loot everything. So here I am being as Romanian as possible and stealing everything without leaving any trace. Oh, actually I left a tombstone in here. Who even cares anymore? Just look at that inventory. Iron boots, ball of fugu, airring stuff, the few other accessories. What else would you want? Actually, maybe an alchemy and bewitching station since I totally forgot about them in my previous dungeon run. I was shocked to find the entrance to the archive since it usually takes a lot of time to reach it. But this time, I have reached it quite fast. Not to be outdone, I still had to find the shimmer. And having those three hell holes without any purpose made me realize that the shimmer might be right under the corruption. So, why not check that out? Worst case, I make yet another tunnel and so on. Okay, apparently it was right here. So, no need to get frustrated over wasting even more time. Well, let’s make a house in here for quick access and then also get the upgrades. Yeah, I was getting closer and closer to defeating the wall of flesh, but before I could do that, I still had to spend some money on reforges because this guy is a [ __ ] Anyways, I also did some fishing and yeah, that was it. I was ready for the wall of flesh back. Nothing holding me back. It was me, a depth crusher, a ball of fugu, and my blue to help me against this American taxinducing cluster of flesh. Yep, there we go. The wall of flesh has been defeated with ease. And now it’s time for a brand new stage of the game with me being able to get a lot of new armor sets, accessories, and weapons. Of course, my first concern was to relocate the NPCs from the jungle to somewhere more eastward since the corruption took over. This was really fun, especially with the giant turtles that are stalking me constantly. The adventure continues up in the heavens where a wyvern says hi and I start yelling while trying not to die to it since I want the salai fragments dropped by it. Now, what about the weapons? Well, it’s never been more easier and the joke writes itself. The Florida man is killed and it drops the gun. Well, for this part of the game, I will have to switch to playing as a ranger since the death crusher and the ball of fugu won’t be as strong as the gatigator. While caving, I also found a wizard staying next to the onyx laboratory. So, I saved him and then built a house for him just so I could get a rod of discord and some sweet smelling candles. I’ll also continue with souls of light gathering, jelly shimmering, grand jellatine crafting, inventory contemplating, and background analyzing. Hold on, what am I even doing next? Yeah, I guess that I will start with the bosses because there is nothing else that I can get. So, yeah, starting with the one and only retinas and spasmatism. Really easy to fight, totally bearable, not fist in the table inducing at all. I’m kidding. That was a stupid but acceptable fate. Nice. They have been taken down. So that means I can get my hands on some new shiny ores. Nephril and Orium both useful for a lot of [ __ ] such as pickaxes, anvils, armor sets, and more things that I won’t cover since why would I mention the longrange scissor array. Just for the sake of the long mining process, I crafted both the Miffil and Orum armor sets and then slid some more pirates since of course Terraria has to face some actors to waste my time. Yeah, I spent some more minutes with them, but at least I got a discount card that will help me with reforging accessories, especially considering that I don’t have infinite money in this run either. The adventure continues with me taking on the easiest mech, the prime minister, which definitely took one attempt, and I had absolutely no trouble with dodging the head, schools, and the laser. Instead, I decided to summon the worm and see how it goes. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. It turned out to be a success, but then I still had to take on Skeletor Prime. And apparently this guy was set to avenge his lost brothers and he killed me way too many times. I am 100% sure it’s not skill issue. Definitely not skill issue and rustiness. Definitely not a tired phantom. Definitely not a Terraria YouTuber with zero patience left. But you know what they say, trust the process. And so I did. So enjoy this fight that may be rage quit for two times. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Yes, the prime minister has finally been taken down. This guy ate my patience with sweet chili and made me yell a lot, but hey, it’s over. And it’s time for a brand new stage where I can get a lot of upgrades. Starting with an adventure emblem, continuing with angel threads, then farming for frogs since fishing was never an option despite having some really cool fishing gear. Getting the frog leg and the mother of all balloons afterwards. Next up, finding in the jungle, looking for chlorop and life roots, getting past the corrupted jungle and getting nothing from here, spotting planter bulbs, and deciding not to spend an entire year with making that planter arena and so on. After this caving session is the chlorified armor set that matters the most and the lack of life fruits. So, guess where I’m going next? Back to eyeing out life fruits for an overdose as well as a blood orange. Well, all these upgrades and still I wasn’t willing to continue with Plantera since I had another plan in my mind. First up, let’s take on a boss centered around the biome that created this challenge, the aquatic scourge. Yes, as I said, the weapons from the Sulur Sea count as well. So, be sure that I will be happy to see a summon weapon from this weird ass orb in my inventory. want to be out all done. I also wanted some stuff from the acid rain tier 2 enemies, but by the time I remember that got heavily nerfed, it was too late as the luck to get one Ortoa to spawn and drop the shell was way too high. And yeah, me and Luck are not usually on the same page. Well, I couldn’t summon the rain since I didn’t have the costic tier. So, what I could do instead was to focus on regular progression and continue with defeating Calamidas Clo in order to get even more accessories or damage. Heat. Heat. Now, in previous Calamity versions, after defeating Calamidas, the abyss would suffer some changes and death cells would be available. But nah, now we have to defeat Leviathan in order to get that. So, guess what I’m doing next? Failing horrendously because I cannot focus on dodging a meatball with the size of an average breakfast of mine. However, that was one awful attempt for training. Now, allow me to show you the real attempt. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Yes, there we go. The big ass fat fish and the protector have been defeated. And it makes all the sense why the aby enemies suffer changes after this happens. Well, here I am about to get some materials that will be used to get my hands on some of the best weapons Armor has ever seen. I also stumbled upon a Colossal Squid and yeah, I had all the chances of defeating it, right guys? Even if it was, I wouldn’t have acquired anything from it since it has post only content. Yeah, I still had to go back to the lower layers of the abyss since I required void stone for what I was about to craft. The abyss blade was mine. And this moment marks the middle of this adventure with me finally deciding to move forward and continue with Of course, the queen bee has to spawn since it always has to add some spice to a fight that is already tricky and annoying enough. But the abyss blade was strong, so I didn’t really have any problems. It was the time to switch back to the melee class. So, here I am crafting the mechanical glove that I totally forgot about and then fighting another goblin army that spawn randomly. And this was kind of fortunate and you will see why in the late game. I also managed to craft the costic tier after shimmering the rusty beacon prototype and starting the tier 2 acid rain since I still wanted to get some items including a specific drop from the mini boss as well as the Orto Sera shell that I have missed during the first rain. Since I was playing mixed classes and was using sentries, I could wear old ones army sets. So, why not farm some defender medals? With the gear that I had, the tier 2 army was just a breeze, but I was gaining only 25 medals per army, and I needed 150 for an entire armor set. I was way too lazy to do the army six times. So, I decided to do it right after golem, being all cocky, thinking that I will defeat Betsy with ease while not using any sententuries or a specific arena. I went to the jungle temple and started making my way downwards, going through all these traps and enemies that are as annoying as a mosquito flying around my screen when streaming. True story, by the way. I eventually reached the main room, placed some platforms, and then started fighting golems. Moving on, I was still playing as the melee class, so I had to get even more upgrades. The first one being the fire gauntlet. And I required some skoria bars for that one. And not only, I will also craft the weapon since technically it’s a material from the abyss, so it’s allowed. I also crafted the void of extinction for even more extra damage. Then continued with even more fights. Yep, the cryionic bar was the only thing that I was missing before I could craft yet another HP upgrade. That is as tasty as it sounds. Next up was farming for even more medals. But now it was the tier three old ones army. And this was way tougher than I thought it would be. Despite having some success early on because of an incredibly good true melee weapon, it was best seat that ended this up with me only being able to collect a total of 145 medals. So, I needed five more. I was like, “What the hell? I’m not doing the army just for the sake of getting five more medals. If I’m doing it, I’m also defeating Betsy.” Well, true melee was good, but it could get even better if I could defeat a special boss. Take into consideration that I have the Vulcanite Lens. Also take into consideration that I don’t have any specific dash or dodge accessory or buffs. This will be interesting. Heat. Yeah, this could have turned really bad, but fortunately I did it. So, here we are with a brand new accessory that will help a lot. The next spikes are the literal proof that the height of a view is the perfect accessory for true melee players. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Yep. The hide of a view and the vulcanite lens are probably the best view at this point in Calamity. Calamity devs, if you see this video, never change this. I know what you did to the dragon’s rage. Please don’t do the same for the fulcanite lens. Anyways, I was finally able to get the Valhalla Knight armor, and trust me, I will eventually get to wear this when fighting Supreme Calamidas, and it wouldn’t be the first time when I would do that. Next up is another fight where I tried the true melee brute force attack, but failed horribly, and I had to improvise while struggling to survive. Enjoy. It was way too close, but here I am near the end of hard mode, ready to take on the pillars. Well, I started this event by talking to the cyborg about nanit and eventually playing with a drone since I could launch it into the orbit and get an achievement for that. This being a really cool game mechanic if you ask me. Next up, some would expect some extra grinding, but it has to be taken into consideration that I have defeated all the bosses, got all the upgrades for the accessories, got all the weapons that I could use, and that there is no other content for this specific part of the game. Well, without further ado, I will start the fight against Moolord. Enjoy. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. With Mulord shaking, I knew that two/3s of this game have been completed. But the unfortunate part is that probably the hardest part of this run is yet to come. Mulord has been defeated and the only thing that will change will be the boots and the fact that I get one more accessory slot. No new weapons also makes me change my perspective over this part of the run. Having to switch to the ranger class once again since I don’t really see how I could use the vulcanite lens or the abyss blade against any further bosses. The only boss that could give me anything useful right now is a dragon foley and it drops the dynamo stem cells which might bring some help for the ranger class. The fight went exactly as you would expect with me trying variations of the melee and rager classes while dying, not paying attention, yelling like a stupid little child, and not playing strategically at all. I’ve been playing only with offense accessories for so much. But I ignored the Asgard’s Valor, so now it was the time to get it and see that I actually get way further than before just because I could dash and dodge. Well, eventually this fight would end soon. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. GG’s. But the problem is that it only gets worse from now. Considering that even if I follow the regular progression, it won’t help me at all since my weapons have become weak as [ __ ] This fight against the guardians proved that I will have to do regular skip of mine. But that skip would imply wasting some hours and getting annoyed a lot during the process. The polterus fight was exactly how you would imagine it considering that my weapons are post early golem. So not that great for this point where the average DPS would be 7,000 to 10,000. Again, I tried a lot of weapons variations. Switching bullets, switching bullets again, and eventually realizing that I will have to get someone to help me. Well, too much offense accessories with a really bad weapon for this sage won’t help. So, how about I get an army to help me? I guess I will start with the cloud elemental, then go in the desert and get her two specific battles and eventually craft the heart of the waifu, which would help me with both damage and life regeneration. The next fight was far better with me almost killing poltergeist, but I still messed up really bad. So, I decided to get one more accessory to help me with mobility, regen, and most importantly, damage reduction. I required only one more material, and so I killed Jen Clam, went back home and crafted the absorber, and then also reforged every accessory to wording. At this point, surviving for a really long time was the only option left to be taken into consideration. But brute force fight with true melee can do nothing but only get me killed. I will have to play safe. In other words, what comes next is a fight that took me more than 10 minutes. So, enjoy the fast forwarded clip. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. That was close. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. There we go. Polter gas has been finally defeated. And this changes everything since it’s Polteras that changed the abyss for one last time. Unfortunately, before I could craft any new weapon, I still had to farm some new enemies. However, the one accessory that didn’t require any more farming was the abyssal diving suit. I went deep down in the abyss, reaching the fourth layer and starting to fight the reaper shark. And fortunately, the DPS was just enough to get it killed before I could lose my breath. With the weapon dropped by the reaper shark, I continued to hunt down even more enemies in here, and I could already feel the power that I was about to have. As I lost all my air bubbles, I decided to return home for a bit, craft the Neptune’s Bounty, which is the third and final upgrade for the Death Crusher and one of the main weapons to be used in this run, and then return back to the abyss and hunt down even more giant creatures that want to eat me alive. At one point, I was fighting all the mini bosses at the same time, and this truly felt like a cool anime fight in a really tight setting with slow movement. I killed the idolon worm and it dropped the void edge. A sword that was about to change everything since I totally forgot that this existed and didn’t take it into consideration for this run. After finishing with rounding up all the enemies from the fourth layer of the abyss and crafting the Omega blue armor, I moved on to the last part of this game and it started exactly as you would expect with me dying against Joe Duke. Also, speaking of Duke, I know I can spawn it by fishing in the sulfur sea, but he’s not an abyss of sulfur sea specific enemy lorewise, and it would have made the challenge a bit easier during the player and poltergeist stage. I wanted this run to be as fair as possible. So, that’s why I didn’t defeat fishron at all. Now, enjoy how I defeat the sulfurous version of fish run. Heat. Heat. There we go. Joe Biden dude defeated. And yep, a classical fantasm moment as well. There we go. I got the impaler and the tiny Joe to help me with further bosses. I tried this fight once again since I also wanted to get the sentry but to no avail for now. But I will try again later considering that the sentry is not that important against the devourer of gods. Now before I would attempt that bshit war, I would have to go through some other boss fights that I have skipped. But worry not since those will be just a breeze with the load out that I currently have. Well, two new accessories and a brand new ore to mine in order to get an armor set to be used later. And also a fruit, a pickaxe, and a badge of bravery. What else could anyone ask for? Maybe a simple victory against the boss that induced a lot of trauma. Heat. Heat. There we go. One more boss taken down. getting closer and closer to the end. Well, I suppose I should start with the event since there is nothing else to be done. One solar eclipse and two moons. Nothing special to say about this except for the fact that the Omega Blue armor is the MVP of this part of the game as always. Finally, I was able to craft the ascended spirit essence and with it every upgrade possible, a new armor set, a brand new shield and boots, the elemental gauntlet, as well as some more healing potions. There was no weapon to craft, but I still had to fight Joe Duke in order to get the Kadaavveros carryon. And finally, after a lot of fight, there it was. My arsenal was finally complete since this was the last weapon that I could acquire in this run. Actually, no. There is one more weapon that could be acquired, but it implies fighting Jerry, which I’m definitely not doing from now on. It’s just fighting over and over, failing in the process, but remaining as calm as possible since I knew that this was possible. I expected Yaron not to take ages, but this is what happens when you get cocky and not focus on dodging, but rather just run in circles and hope that no projectile gets to reach me. Well, without further ado, here goes the fight against the jungle dragon. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. There it goes. Along with yet another classical fantasm moment. The last epic gamer mining session starts right now with me constantly getting electrified by the oric ore always saying imagine dying to this in hardcore. I got to craft the last fruit for 25 extra HP. Then I continued with some Muslim accessory as well as the Oric Tesla armor set and the celestial tracers. The next step was to set up the traden computer and set up an arena for the exom fight. So what I did was to decrypt the schematic, go up to the skies and work on a sky bridge, craft the longrange sensor array, place it in the computer, build some more, do even more deforestation, decrypt even more schematics, and work even more on the sky bridge since I cannot solve this task with only one click. I crafted the beacon and then I was ready to start this fight. After going through this dialogue for the infinite time, I starting as any other time with a but shortly after. Apparently this was about to be tough. I kept on trying again and again, but I failed constantly and didn’t even get past defeating at least one exo boss. Now, remember when I said that it’s fortunate that I defeated the goblin army randomly in harm mode? Well, I’m switching to the summoner class, so I will have to get the nucleioenesis and the summoner helmet. It was this army of squids against the Ezomax, but the difference wasn’t really significant. So, I was like, man, you know what? Why not shift focus and try to defeat Supreme Calamidas instead? After all, this was sentries only all over again, but with some extra support from some incredibly good swords. So that means extra DPS. Yeah, the first fight wasn’t that amazing. But the next attempt proved that this fight would be as easy as you would think. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Oh, heat. Hey. Hey. Down down down down. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Yeah. Heat. Heat. Heat. N. Heat. Heat. N. Heat. Heat. New one. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Nice. Supreme Commodas has been defeated. And I could have been really proud to say that this challenge is over. But no, I’m far from that since I still have to defeat the Exomax. And trust me, despite defeating the final boss, I get almost nothing from it since the Calamity is the only accessory that might change things a little. Well, it was the fault to get spike all over again with me changing weapons from time to time, trying summoner and melee in mixed combination, but constantly dying due to bad dodging. However, failing is also part of the process. So, no matter how much this would take, I would have to bear with it and try to get as good as possible. From previous experiences, I know that the hardest part is right after Aries is defeated, but only if I have low HP and the revive cooldown is activated. If I happen to get past Eris’s death without having low HP or a revive cooldown, it would be Tanatos that might have a chance of killing me near the end. But maybe I managed to dodge. Maybe I’m actually not that bad at the game. Maybe I shut the hell up and let you enjoy the full fight against the Exomx. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat up here. Heat. Heat. A Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat up here. Heat. Heat. Heat up here. Heat up here. There we finally go. The Exomax have been defeated as well as Supreme Calamadas. So, it means that yet another challenge run of mine has been completed. And this was pretty fun except for a few parts there and there. I could finally rest well. Someone please tell me that the developers were joking with this guy when they decided on his name. Yeah, there we go. I suppose it is possible indeed to finish Terraria Calamity while using weapons from the abyss and sulfuru seas. This is how much time it took. Not a big difference from the specialist class run. This is the mod list as a proof that no other quality of life mods have been used. Well, yeah. Thank you guys for watching. Don’t forget to like and subscribe. Leave comments since they help with the algorithm and stay tuned for even more runs in the near future. Also, don’t forget to leave comments regarding a possible free weapons only rerun with the Neptune’s Bounty components only. I guess I will see you again in the next one. Stay safe out there and see you. Peace.
Terraria is a land of adventure! A land of mystery! A land that’s yours to shape, defend, and enjoy. Your options in Terraria are limitless. Are you an action gamer with an itchy trigger finger? A master builder? A collector? An explorer? There’s something for everyone.
Start by building basic shelter, then dig for ore and other resources. Discover and craft over 500 weapons of magic, ranged, melee and summon varieties, as well as armor, and use them to battle hundreds of different enemies. Soon you’ll be going head-to-head with any of a dozen enormous bosses. Go fishing, ride a mount, find Floating Islands, build houses for helpful NPCs, and much, much more.
The Calamity Mod is a large content mod for Terraria which adds many hours of endgame content and dozens of enemies and bosses dispersed throughout the vanilla game’s progression. The Calamity Mod also features several harder difficulty modes, five new biomes and new structures, a new class, more than forty new songs, over fifty recipes for previously uncraftable vanilla items and other assorted changes to vanilla gameplay.
I have done a 3 weapons only run previously on this channel and there were messages and comments regarding how Calamity would be beatable while only using the Depth Crusher, the Abyss Blade and the Neptune’s Bounty. I would love to know if you would be interested in such a run, which would be a subclass for today’s showcased subclass. The Abyss Weapons refer to any weapon that can be acquired in the Abyss (and Sulphurous Seas too), as well as weapons that can be crafted with materials obtained from the Abyss (for instance the Scoria Ores). It was a really fun challenge and I also played without the Quality of Life mods, so it was a bit more challenging compared to any previous run.
The music used is not composed by me.

Waiting for someone to do this

It would be cool to see a challenge where you can only use weapons that meet a certain condition, but you dont tell us what this condition is, so we have to guess

Yayy thanks for doing this! The Neptunes Bounty line are my favorite weapons. Also did a Neptunes Bounty run myself and it actually wasn’t too bad so you should totally do it!
I love ur videos so much i check every day to check if u posted a new vid. What woud i done if u were not in the world i woud be so sad ur vids bring me joy i wana play calamity with u
Could be amazing to see a hammers only challenge
Hammers weapons are considered as regular hammers as well as weapons that are look like hammer (or pneumohammers) or had a history of being a hammer
So basically you have to use marnite hammer with marnite headgear for damage, until you'll get depth crusher (you'll hold it for a long amount of time, trust me)
Goodluck, if you'll do this challenge, this is more, than possible, but really hard 🙂
depth crusher is my fav weapon line please
Honestly, the mini-montage during boss fights instead of just sped up fights IMO feels much better, the video is more full I feel like
What about a run only using weapons you hate?
Anyone know what the name of the song is at 50:01?
Just now i realised he was using the moab instead of wings
I absolutely LOVE the no QoL transition.
1:07:50 the goblin tinkerer also has a name like that: Basel Raiden John Clive Fantasy 16
Try beating calamity with only calamity (the acessory dropped by calamitas)
I’ve always wondered why most people never go for fledgling wings since calamity adds a pretty cheap recipe to get it
Man I can't even get past Devourer of the Gods with all weapons available, let alone do stuff like this 🙁
As an Romanian i love your jokes 😂
