The BEST Early Game Weapons in Terraria!
These are the best weapons you should get at the start of the game. If you’re playing melee, the go-to weapons you should be getting is the Amazon yo-yo, the blade of grass, and a star fury. Luckily, the yo-yo and blade of grass are both crafted from jungle materials, and the star fury is found in floating islands. For rangers, it’s the boomstick. This thing is crazy, and I’ve used it all the way up to Skeletron before. You’ll have to go to the jungle for it, but you’ll find it in a chest. For mage, the absolute best weapon that you could get is the demon scythe. That’s a bit too hard to get at first. So maybe get the wand of sparking or thunder zapper beforehand. Thorn Chakram is better than blade of grass and Amazon imo (blade of grass still best melee weapon for brain)

Terraria is a difficult game without a guide lol. It's fun without a guide though going in blindly for a great adventure. 👍🏻
For summoner it’s not the flinx staff but it’s Abigail’s flower because it can carry you in early hard mode due to the fact that it gets buffed upon entering hard mode
best melee for me is early game is volcano, or something… the fire sword

You should also look for a surface waterbolt as well for mage
Would the slime staff be a good replacement for the flinx staff if you happen to get lucky early on? Asking for a friend.
If you are a calamity player remember that the reaver shark allows you to go straight to hellstone pre boss
