Did Roblox Just Fix The Platform..?
So, yesterday was a giant day for Roblox because they posted a bunch of things and did a bunch of things to try and fix the ongoing situation that we all know about. And today, I want to go over all of the major points that I saw yesterday to try and figure out if Roblox is maybe on a path of good or bad and to see if they actually maybe uh are doing a little bit better at saving themselves. But, you know, I I’ll spoil a little bit. The community is still on fire. So, and just so much more stuff I want to talk about. Okay, so let’s get into the first story, which just happens to be just a kind of tweet that I found interesting. And it’s that Roblox apparently lost 12.17 billion in market cap since August 6th, which is when all of this stuff started happening, which uh is a lot. I think it’s like 9% or something, I’ve heard. And if you don’t know, that’s not good. It’s not good at all. But either way, ever since this tweet came out, a bunch more things have came out from Roblox that were uh I guess more in the light of them trying to fix the issues because yeah, losing 9% of your market cap is not good as a company and makes you look terrible. So, since that has happened, Roblox has started doing some things to try and fix that problem with the one thing being them banning David Bazooki. Now, this was actually an accident, I’m pretty sure. I don’t know how this happened, but I guess it just kind of shows how Roblox moderation is not maybe the best because as of yesterday, David Bizooki’s Roblox account was completely terminated off of Roblox randomly in the middle of the day. Now, it was actually unbanned after a little bit. I think it was only like a couple minutes, maybe an hour. But, uh, regardless, this just shows how crazy Roblox’s moderation is, bro. The owner of Roblox, the CEO of Roblox, can literally just get terminated off of his own website for seemingly no reason. It’s just insane. I don’t even know how that happens. Now, a lot of people were thinking this was like something to do with like, you know, the lawsuits or something related to like the past week and a half, but it literally had nothing to do with anything cuz he got unbanned and nobody’s talked about it since. But, you know what? People have been talking about the Roblox Louisiana lawsuit. Because in my last video, I talked about how Louisiana’s attorney general, I guess, was suing Roblox for a bunch of allegations they were levying to the company. And basically, this lawsuit was such a big deal because of the the allegations that were being levied against Roblox. And it got to the point where Roblox actually had to respond in a giant newsroom post. So, I’m not going to be able to read the whole thing in this video. There’s probably going to be individual videos that go over this. But, as you can see, they said Roblox responds to the Louisiana AG lawsuit where if you scroll down, they kind of just defend themselves on a lot of the points that uh the attorney general made. And yeah, you can see there’s a very, very long post from this, but some of the main stuff they said in this uh post is like this stuff like this. Roblox publicly defends themselves against a Louisiana lawsuit claiming that their trust and safety team typically takes minutes to address inappropriate content, which you know, I mean, maybe sometimes, like when you report someone in text chat on a Roblox game, yeah, they usually get banned pretty quick, but anything other than that, it does take a little while. It really depends. You know what I mean? I mean, there has been times where I’ve reported stuff in Roblox games and they will literally get taken down dang near instantly, but there’s also been a lot of times where I’ve done that and it literally just never happens ever. You know what I mean? But yeah, regardless, they kind of just gassed themselves up here uh to defend themselves against these allegations. You know, they say Roblox has taken an industryleading stance on age-based communication and recently introduced new age estimation technology. They say stuff like safety is one of the most important challenges facing the online industry today, and we strongly believe the industry needs to work together to move this needle on safety. I could go over all of this, but they don’t really mention anything in specific or anything crazy. They just kind of say like, “Hey, we do have good safety on our platform. We swear.” And a lot of people on Twitter have been disagreeing with that and whatnot with yeah the main topic being the this part where it says for inappropriate content our trust and safety team takes action within minutes and a lot of people have been saying no that just doesn’t happen and whatnot. That’s just kind of the main thing that’s happened here. So yeah, Roblox is defending themselves against the lawsuit in a giant blog post. If you want to read it, you totally can. It’s uh it’s massive, but it is a lot of just like legal jargon and stuff like that. And like it’s also like very technical. So it’s like it’s like hard to kind of talk about in this video without falling asleep. That’s not the only response Roblox had yesterday because they uploaded like a bunch of stuff with this being one of them because on the dev forum they posted a huge dev forum post talking about strengthening their safety policies and tools. Now, this is made by RBX Rocket Man, who I think is Matt Kaufman, the main guy behind the uh safety stuff at Roblox. I think that’s his account. I could be wrong, but regardless, you can see that this post is ginormous, guys. It’s huge. But the main parts that people are looking at and taking note of is this part right here where it says blocking users under 17 from social hangouts and private spaces with experiences primarily set in private spaces. Now, what does this mean? Okay. Well, if we scroll down, it says private spaces are defined as enclosed spaces that meet both of the following criteria. Designed for activities that are personal and secluded. For example, sleeping, changing clothes, and bathing. Okay. Designed for one person or for a very small number of people. example, a bathroom stall, a bedroom, or a small tent. But yeah, basically games that are fitting these criterias will no longer be able to be played by users under 17 on the platform, which is uh interesting. But that’s not the only part about this update that people have kind of been complaining about or either just looking at because there’s also this part where it says unrated experiences will now be made unavailable for all users. And if you don’t know what an unrated experience is, here’s my game for example. It’s any game that doesn’t have this thing on it. And to get this thing on your game, you have to like submit like a a quiz to Roblox. It’s a very very simple process that literally takes minutes. And basically, if your game doesn’t have a rating here, it will not be able to be played by anybody, which before I think it was only not able to be played by people under 13, I believe. And this has had a lot of people complaining and mad because means games that are like super duper old on Roblox will probably not be able to be played anymore because the developers that made them are not active or maybe lost their account years ago. Now, Roblox does say in the same thing here. It says, “More details will come on this soon, and we will address handling historic and abandoned legacy games.” So, it seems like Roblox has kind of already thought about that, but I guess we’ll just see what happens in the future because Roblox, I mean, kind of has had a habit of releasing updates that break old games despite them saying that they have plans for it. But, you know, I I don’t know. We’ll see. And either way, I think this is a good uh update as long as they make it so that legacy experiences will be okay. I mean, because if you do the like Roblox quiz, I assume your game has to be humanly reviewed. So, that’ll be a good way for Roblox to actually moderate these games properly and whatnot, which is good. But, this whole update up here with like the whole private spaces stuff has kind of been a pretty controversial one because it’s like, why is Roblox even trying to keep this on the website? Like, why not just ban these things outright? And well, it kind of seems like Roblox is starting to take that kind of approach because they have been banning a bunch of these bad games on Roblox that people have been wanting banned for years. For example, Roblox RTC tweeted out, “XYZ public bathroom simulator has finally been taken down.” But guys, it doesn’t even end there because they also had Club Iris taken down, which if you don’t know what this is, it’s like a very popular like club game from what I could from what I know. This has been on the website for like ages. I think I remember it from like 2017. Maybe I’m wrong, but this has just been a game that has been like flooded with, you know, people that, you know, are maybe not the best. Uh, it’s a club game. You know, it’s not it’s not the best thing to have on Roblox. And it has been finally taken down. But guys, it doesn’t end there because this is probably the biggest victory Roblox has had and will have in this whole video because after several years, which it’s crazy it’s happened this late, Dollhouse Roleplay has finally been taken down. If you guys don’t know what this game is, it’s just like a dollhouse game like where it’s a giant pink house where people can pretend to be dolls and whatever, but this game is never used in that purpose. It’s mainly used uh as like a hub for, you know, people to just do and say bad things on Roblox and uh you know, bypass stuff on the platform. It’s kind of just like attracted a player base that is never ever going to use the game for its intended purpose. And yeah, the players using it have kind of just been notorious for breaking the rules and like doing certain things that are not very cool on Roblox. I literally can’t go into details on it because but if you’ve been on like Tik Tok as of recent, like in the past month or so, you’ve probably seen people like trolling in this game. That’s a very very popular thing to do on Tik Tok right now. And now it’s not going to be able to happen anymore because the game is finally gone. And I I think this is the best thing they could have done in this situation. Like yes, this game did start out as something completely different and was taken over by bad people, but the developer themselves never ever cared to fix it seemingly. So, I think this deletion was very much deserved. And tell me what you guys think in the comments. Now, sadly, even though these games are deleted, I wouldn’t be surprised if they get like re-uploaded or something in the near future. And also, it kind of just sucks because yes, Roblox did delete these huge games that were causing a lot of problems on Roblox, but there’s still so many like smaller versions of these games that are virtually the exact same. Like if you just search up XYZ on Roblox, there is a lot of other games like that bathroom game that got banned. If you search up like Club, there’s probably a bunch of other Club games that are the exact same as Club Iris. And it seems like those games aren’t really getting deleted yet. I could be mistaken. Maybe people are just not reporting on them. But yeah, regardless, this is a good start to the update, but I just hope Roblox goes further with this. But at least like some of the main culprits that people have been talking about are gone. Now, on top of all of this, Roblox also announced that they are apparently going to be making a safety council in in that same dev post because, as you can see, here’s a tweet that got a couple billion likes that says, “Roblox is making a safety council for creators to directly report stuff to them. This is a step in the right direction, which is uh interesting.” And then if we look at the screenshot they include here, the highlighted part says, “We are developing a community safety council that will be made up of members from our creator community.” So, I guess developers, YouTubers, people that are like connected with Roblox in some way will eventually get a direct line of communication with Roblox. And I guess these people that are going to, I guess, make up this safety council are going to be the people that will be making like some decisions on moderation actions and whatnot, which I I think is good because I feel like Roblox has been constantly told by the community of things that should not be on the platform and they just don’t care. Like with the whole Teddy situation, like people had to really complain about that for days just for them to actually take action against it. So, I hope with Roblox, you know, being more interactive with the community and making this community safety council, they’re more open to actually listening to their community and what stuff to moderate because like, bro, it’s so obvious to us as community members of bad stuff on the platform. And for some reason, when Roblox looks at it, they’re just like, they just sometimes don’t know what to do and it’s like, bro. But yeah, tell me what you guys think about this in the comments. Do you guys think this is something? I don’t know. So, now let’s talk about Roblox’s video they uploaded that is 46 minutes long. Oh my god. Now, I watched the whole thing at 2x speed, so maybe I missed a couple things, but I jotted down some notes. And sadly, a lot of this video is stuff that has already been talked about many, many times, or is already stuff that I mentioned earlier in this video, such as, you know, the safety council/trusted advisers thing that I just talked about, or how they talk about the new toos for private spaces and whatnot. But there’s also a lot of new topics they mentioned, such as them reclarifying why they don’t want vigilantes on the platform. And they said this, not verbatim, but this is just like my summarization of it. But they said that people used to have good intentions when doing vigilante work on Roblox. And Roblox actually used to pay attention to vigilantes pretty closely. But then Matt Kaufman said that these vigilantes started to do something different. They started to shift. They started to change and do things that were not really in line with Roblox’s terms of use. He then gives some examples of what kind of rules they were breaking, such as, you know, pretending to be different ages and whatnot, which I guess is against Roblox’s rules. And then I guess the main point that he drops here is that he alleges that these bad actors that these vigilantes are catching are sometimes or usually not reported until after it goes public. I guess now he doesn’t say that verbatim, but that’s kind of what he says here is that he says the reports aren’t really given to Roblox until after something happens to these people. And what he’s saying is he wants these people to get reported earlier, I guess. I don’t know. And then they were using that activity that happened on other platforms um to create situations that they would then video uh they would report to the police and then only after would they let Roblox know. Another thing Matt Kaufman says about vigilante groups is that a lot of the evidence that they give to Roblox about these people is a lot of times screenshots or stuff from offplatform that they can’t really verify. And they say that it’s impossible to really take action on people if it’s just screenshots because they say in the world of generative AI you could see what could happen or whatever. People say, “Well, gee, like look, it’s my screenshot. Like, why don’t you trust me, I just took the screenshot. I’m sending it to you.” But I would say, especially in today’s world of generative AI content, you could imagine what might happen if we started acting on evidence that was presented to us that’s collected on somebody else’s platform. And we we can’t do that. That would be a significant risk to the community and a significant risk in particular to the most popular people on the community um who end up being targets of this type of of uh activity. This is something that Roblox has mentioned in their previous blog post about this vigilante stuff. So, so it’s nothing really new, but what is new is they talk about Meep City and why they don’t actually ban Meep City. You know, I can see some of our community naming uh experiences on Roblox and to say take it down, take it down, take it down. I’d say examples could be Meep City, for example. Can you share like why should that be up? Should that be down? Like what’s up? Because Dave Bazooki asks why Meep City is still on the platform. And a conversation then opens about how they’re trying to be fair to developers and not ban games based on the community and players around it because that will open an attack vector. They say where I guess people would be able to theoretically flood any game they don’t like with bad players and get it banned which I guess could be true. And one thing that we really try to do is be fair to our developers and to not moderate them for the behavior of their users, right? That doesn’t seem fair at all. Then we’re taking a game down because users were in it behaving badly. Um, and that’s just that would open up an abuse factor that would mean that any game that, you know, people didn’t like the developer of or something, they could just flood it and behave badly and get the game taken down. So, we don’t want to open up that abuse factor. We want to be fair. And they say to fix that problem, they’re I guess going to be working on something called bad scenes detection where basically I guess it works as some sort of like server moderation instead of working I guess based on the game where I guess if Roblox detects bad stuff happening in a Roblox server, it’ll shut down the whole server instead of the whole game, which is interesting. We’re doing a few things. One is we’re investing in what we’re calling bad scenes detection. Um so that we can actually moderate in the moment those servers and take them down if users are behaving badly. Um and we also occasionally um if we find that there’s a real preponderance of bad behavior in a game, we will reach out to the developer and work with them to make updates to the design of that game that we think will mitigate that harm. And then they also talk about how they also reach out to games with these problems like Meep City to try and help the developer fix these problems instead of just completely deleting the games straight up, which I don’t know. Tell me what you guys think about that in the comments. I’ve seen a lot of people mad at that. And yeah, tell me what you guys I think the bad scenes detection thing is pretty interesting cuz I don’t know how that would even work. But uh I guess we’ll have to wait and see. But that’s not even where it ends because Roblox also announced I guess their new Roblox moderation and whatnot called Sentinel AI and Roguard. Now these are two separate Roblox moderation AI things that work in two different ways. So Roguard is I guess their AI moderation bot that moderates AI. Super duper confusing and it’s also not something that really matters uh in the grand scheme of all the drama that’s been happening over the past couple weeks. But what does matter is the Sentinel moderation thing that they’re talking about. Because what this is is it’s a moderation tool that works long-term on Roblox accounts. So what it does is it takes data from everything you do on Roblox, the games you play, the people you add, the people that you unfriend on Roblox, the chats you make. It takes all of that data and it looks to see if you are an anomaly. It’s it checks to see if you are actually doing things that are not normal on Roblox in the long term. will then send your account to a human to check if you are actually doing bad stuff on the platform, which I find very interesting. Like I don’t know how this is going to work and how this is more beneficial than other types of moderation on the platform. But as you can see, Roblox also mentions this Sentinel AI moderation bot in their post about the Louisiana lawsuit. They say, “In August, we released our latest open-source model, Roblox Sentinel, an advanced AI powered system to help designed to detect bad stuff interactions early for faster intervention.” Okay, so this is, I guess, a moderation tool that is only really focusing on stuff that has kind of been complained about over the past couple weeks, which is interesting. I thought this is just like general moderation, but it’s specifically targeting uh bad stuff. But then it says, “Human experts will continue to be essential for investigating and intervening in the cases that the Sentinel detects.” So yeah, I guess Roblox has some other type of moderation tool/ AI bot that they’re working on that is I guess going to help with a lot of the complaints people have had as of recent. But again, it uses AI and a lot of people have been complaining about that. And again, nobody really knows how well this works because it literally like just released. So yeah, I guess we’ll see. But you can see this is what it says. It says using AI to help detect abnormal chat patterns. Tell me what you guys think. Do you guys think this is actually going to work? I don’t know. I don’t know. We’ll never know until it actually like starts being used a lot more frequently. But yeah, there’s a lot more stuff in this video uh that I didn’t really mention here because it’s just like a lot of fluff and a lot of Roblox blabber, dude. That’s what I say in every video. They just go on and on and on about a bunch of stuff. But all I know is that people are not impressed with this video. The dislike ratio is terrible and people are not happy. But tell me what you guys think in the comments. But yeah, do you guys think Roblox is saved? I can already tell what your opinion is.
In todays video Did Roblox Just Fix The Platform..? cause yesterday they released a BUNCH of updates, such as some new moderation bots…….. they banned a bunch of bad games after years… they dropped a huge video… and much more… but it seems like everyone is still mad … oof..

I used to see Roblox as a simple fun game. Now I hate it
AI is used for most moderations it doesnt makes sense y people dont like ai in that format
the answer: no
For as long as I've played Roblox, since I was in elementary school, had tix, bought robux, bought builders club, since I've gotten my driver's license, my first job, gone to college, and more… I've only known their moderation to be terrible. The reporting system to be worse and seemingly always getting worse. It has become a disappointment, gone so far as to eradicate any of my faith in their team when it comes to such, and it honestly doesn't surprise me that it has snowballed in this way. It's been a long time coming for them to get their just dues and for them to shape up in some way.
Yet, part of me still wonders "why now?". Why is it that they're finally pulling back the curtain on plans? Were there ever any plans prior to this? I'd want to ask, "how far does their greed go?" but it's beyond shame. It's to the cost of child-safety and I can't seem to remember when it wasn't.
I'm glad they're putting together a team; one guy was never enough. I do think there's still flaws with shutting down servers rather than entire games. After all, one bad apple shouldn't ruin the bushel, but it's not just one bad apple. The idea that bad people could bombard a game to get it removed isn't out of reach. If they wanted to, they still could, and it wouldn't be that much more difficult. Might even be easier, if they cleared most of the servers, and just had a few to pop into- that might just prevent players from playing the game in general. Imagine that you can't play in any server because the bad person just got another server shut down, and just because they're there, yours will be shut down too? Like that concept is flawed and I understand that there's not a lot around that which can be explored but these waters have been polluted for almost two decades now. This shouldn't have had to be this long of a wait to start fathoming mere ideas to deter this. I have fond memories on that platform, it hasn't been itself in years, everyone knows that. Events have been incomparable to the beauties they once were. This recent egg hunt was just as rotten as the past handful have shown to be. An egg with holes loses its yolk, the substance the shell protects. In this case, Roblox is that shell, and the yolk seems to be their platform.
I love Roblox, I don't love what it's become, who's in charge that thought preventing bad people from being arrested was a good idea, and who punished someone doing right for the benefit of the Roblox and local communities that may otherwise be negatively impacted by the bad people. Roblox no longer is Roblox. Roblox inspired creators and children alike to want to make good games. It's much rarer to see that anymore. It's seemingly more profitable to invest time in swiftly produced copied and pasted slop. That profit driven mindset is the real kick in the stomach to any Robloxian's imagination.
I hope they do better. This has always been heartbreaking.
Off chance any of their devs see this…
Truly, sincerely, good luck, and I hope that one day this creation will get the chance to flourish. A chance riddled with creativity from all faucets of the Roblox community and one that considers the youngest of their own to be the most important member of their community.
Thank you, for finally making any step in the right direction, the future starts now, and you shouldn't wait to start something. Those kids, if you can make it out of this will be vital to any hope of Roblox's future. They always have been. Even if some of them have taken the wrong route, they were once a valued member of Roblox, and the likelihood that they've done so because of Roblox isn't all that farfetched.
1:35 im sure a ton of people reported david bazucka and the poorly made AI moderation banned him
3:21 "We have good savety on our platform. WE SWEAR." Good one
what's the game name in the intro?
Ok so how about people who roleplay? That ai gonna detect something “bad” even though were not.
This month so far is wild
5:22 hell no every old roblox game will be unplayable now place roulettes are also 101% fucked
we need to put david in an insane asylum rn
I honestly hope this Lawsuit goes the whole way…
I've grown tired of major platforms and corporations going until they're finally backed into a corner, before hoping to pay the issue to go away, and once again bend and give "concessions" just to restore the former status quo at the lowest possible level, until the problem eventually repeats.

Everything David and Matt say is null and void. Don't believe anything they say when it comes to safety. Schlep TRIED sending them all the info that he had given to the police. Roblox bans Schlep, instead. David cares more about their image than the kids they host games for. Get rid if him and Matt and replace them both!
They will see if smth is an alt acc cuz of the same pic
Whats the game name
"all games without age ratings are now unplayable"
meanwhile, people who just wanna play the original 2018 version of happy oofday:
>ban schlep to try and stop your stonks from going down
>stonks go down
Why are corpo suits so stupid?
Along with schlep unbanned, we also need some good features that were removed like tix or idk
You can't fix what was always broken.
Getting mad when vigilantes don't report things to them, but then getting mad that vigilantes do report things to them is a crazy stance
I dont think this is enough. Since it took soo much just to make the most common sense of common sense moves, there has to be a change in security and CEO. AKA, replace the head of security as well as the CEO and anyone inheritly ignoring along with them too.
Roblox banned rate my avatar but not meepcity they both have same issue so what is Roblox doing
I think a lot that they are doing is genius and I wouldnt even think of it, and it is very smart to do stuff like modify games instead of ban them so players can't get devs banned, then to also do stuff like make it where a game needs to be moderated by staff to be played through the rating system, I think they are doing a lot better, (All for more stats and more investors)
what was the game he was playing in the 1st half of the video
what game r yu playing :3
All I hear is a pred protector trying to cover up his mistakes
to answer, no
funny how you bring up roblox losing so much money then tell the "kinda" good things, its obvious they are only doing these things because their losing money and getting backlash lol
Save us Google. Please save us Google🙏
fun fact I got a temp ban for saying stupid
and later someone I knew got banned for saying idiot
5:10 ARCHEXIMUS I SWEAR TO GOD
Yet y’all are mostly potemer protecters and you care about this
