This Roblox Game Is Based on a TERRIFYING True Story… (99 Nights in the Forest)

Four kids, a plane crash, 40 days alone in one of the deadliest jungles on Earth. That’s the terrifying true story that inspired the super popular Roblox game called 99 Nights in the Forest. Because as we all know, the best kids games come from real life traumatic stories. Yay. Future Lauren here. So, I scripted and recorded this video literally right before the whole Roblox uh schle situation blew up. So, I just wanted to quickly mention it. Obviously, I am not a big part of the Roblox community. I might not even be considered part of the Roblox community cuz I only play games like once every couple months on there. So, I’d rather you go watch Creek’s video on the subject. I will link it in the description. This is what it looks like. But, I basically have the same thoughts and opinions on the situation as him, but he’s way more knowledgeable about all of it. So, I’d rather you hear it from him. But in short, one, I don’t support Roblox banning Schle. As far as I can see, he was doing things the right way and helping to protect kids on the platform. And two, the bigger thing, I still wanted to put this video out so that I can also be a part of a group that is saying that Roblox needs to do better. Roblox needs to do way more to protect specifically young people on its platform. I was unaware of a lot of stuff and I watched Creek’s video and I was like, “Wow, I can’t believe Roblox is letting this stuff slide even after getting it reported. So, do better Roblox. This is not it.” Okay, now back to past Lauren. From the moment you first launch the game, you’re immediately shown that this game is based on a true story. But some details have been changed. Reports were made of a deer standing on two legs in an unnatural way in the forest. The following week, four children went missing. It was clear something was very, very wrong with the forest. After the police search revealed no clues about the missing children, the forest was promptly locked to the public. You have 99 days to unravel the mysteries of the forest and figure out what is going on. The true story the game’s developers are referring to is known as the 2023. Hold on, I can’t say this first word. Kakea. Kada. Let’s say it all together. Kakeet. Kake. Kake. Keta. Kakeeta. Keta Keta Kak damn it. Whatever he said. Keta. The incident is known as the 2023 Keta Cessna station air crash. And it’s pretty dark. On May 1st, 2023, a Cessna 206 light aircraft with seven people on board crashed into the jungle in the Kaketa Kaueta. I already forgot. Keta Department of Colombia. The aircraft operated by Avian Line Charters departed from Oh, there’s no way I’m be going to be able to say that. That airport in Colombia on a domestic charter flight to San Jose de Guavier. That that place. However, at 7:34 a.m. local time, the pilot made a distress call reporting engine failure and radio contact was lost shortly after. On board the aircraft were the pilot, a local indigenous leader, and a mother with her four children, aged 13, nine, four, and only one years old. Sadly, the pilot and the local indigenous leader tragically died on impact, while the mother died 4 days after the crash. Miraculously, the four children survived. They began roaming the forest, surviving by eating cassava flour retrieved from the plane’s wreckage, as well as fruits and seeds from the trees and their surroundings. based on their knowledge of native plants as members of the Woto Indigenous Group 40 days after the crash on June 10th, 2023. The four children were found and evacuated to the Colombian capital Bogotaa for medical treatment. According to the rescuers, the children were malnourished and had many insect bites, but no major health issues. By the time the children were discovered, about 150 troops and rescuers and 200 volunteers from local indigenous groups were searching for them. They called the search Project Hope. President Pro said it was an example of total survival, which will remain in history and now also in Roblox. Now, you may have noticed that there’s no reference of a deer standing on two legs, but it somehow appears in the game. So that part of the game is actually based on a real urban legend called the windo. The windo is a mythological creature or evil spirit originating from algangquin folklore. The windo is often said to be a malevolent spirit sometimes depicted as a creature often with deer and humanlike characteristics who may possess human beings. It is said to cause its victims a feeling of insatiable hunger, the desire to eat other humans, and the desire to commit murder, which by the way, if you’re into dark we know all the dark and true stories or folklore, let’s check out this fun game for kids. Yay. Okay, so I have never played this game before. I don’t know what I’m supposed to be doing, but I guess each one is a group of five, so I’m going to join up with these guys. Guys look like you know what you’re doing with your basic Roblox skins. I’m sure we’re good. Survive 99 days. Find the missing ch Oh, finding the missing children will help. Cool. Chop trees and place wood on the fire. Got it. There we go. Okay, I figured out how to put stuff in here. I did it. I helped. Okay. Oh, missing dino kid. Okay. Locations. H. Oh, it tells me. Okay. Oh, god. Okay. All right. All right. So, he was taken by the the deer man. I got it. Night is approaching. Oh god. Oh, it’s instant night. Ah. Okay. So, we just have to make sure. What is that noise? Oh. Oh god. Oh, where’s he going? Don’t go to that guy. Oh, you can fight him off. Thank you, hero. Oh, we survived the night. Oh, who’s this man? A bunny. Oh, a pelt trader. Just wanted to test for science if I could hit him with an axe. That’s all that was. Ooh, somewhere deep in the forest. Ah, missing store. Ooh. Uh, what was it just showing him eating something? Oh, the goat built a map. Thank you, the goat. Ooh, so we have to get over there. Is that where the child is? Uh-oh. What is that? Oh god, two people died. You seemed like you knew what you were doing. Oh, I might be the only one left. I need bandages. Sure. You better still be here. Got got him. Uh, what’s it? Ooh. Okay. Oh, I got a body. Can I take it? Oh, I took it. Okay, I took the body. Somewhere deep in the forest. Oh, no. We got to help the kid. So, are we just looking in these cabins for kids? Are these the ones? They didn’t have any. Something mysterious is flying above you. Aliens. We got aliens now. Rangers log. Something very strange has been going on in the park. A few days ago, I noticed a deer standing on his hind legs and looking at me. At first, I thought it was a human. It wouldn’t move closer to me. It just stood there staring at me. Ooh. Oh my god. It’s the plane like from the real story. I feel like this is a rare thing to find in this game. Is it rare? Oh, there’s a picture back here. It hates all light, flashlights, fire, etc. Good to know. Oh, I can get a good axe. A mysterious group makes its way toward your campfire. Who is Who is this? Oh, the deer. We’re going to die. Oh, we’re definitely going to die. Oh, he’s dead. Okay, almost lost my cool there for a second. Oh, a cultist gem. Mine. What’s a cultist gem do? Oh god. Well, hopefully that’s what I was supposed to do. I think it was. Oh yeah. Okay, we got one now. You’re all welcome. Hey guys, what should I do with the body? Oh, I burned him. Bye, cultist. Okay, what’s the owl has woken up. What’s that? Is it going to come grab us from above? Ooh, what’s this place? Note from hunter. They told me never to hunt here. The deer behave differently. I should have listened. It’s outside right now, staring at me through the window. Bullets don’t work on it. I don’t think I’ll survive the night. I was about to freak out if it was if it was in a window. Why are we not going to save the kid? Can I go check that out? Yeah, sure. Before I progress too far, I hear the child crying. Okay, these guys have collars. Are these like bad wolves? Do I have to take them out or or are they Oh, god. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh, I’m dead. Oh, I’m going to die. Oh, I’m dead. No. No. Sorry, kid. I’ll be back somewhere. Yeah, I know. There’s a I know. I don’t know if I want to revive either of you. Now I’m alone. It’s fine. You know what? I’ll probably thrive. We’re going to thrive. We don’t need our team. But when I tell you that I was one of the only people going out to get stuff, now you know. The other ones just sat there and died. You know, I shouldn’t speak ill of the dead. I got to do this alone. Oh god. Oh, there’s no way. No, I meant to want to revive. Oh, hey, I’m playing again on another day cuz I just keep thinking about this game. But look how much I am thriving and I have been alone the whole time. Right, kid? We’re on day 12. I got my kid. I got all this cooked meat. I did all this myself. I got this. And we’re we’re out here thriving without anybody to starve to death next to me. That’s where my problem lied. Having other people here. And so because my other two playthroughs were all messed up cuz I filmed them incorrectly, I was like, I have to play the game again. Okay. And here I am. Oh yeah, I spawned by like all of this stuff, too, which definitely helped me. Oh, yes. Oh, rifle ammo. I don’t have a rifle. I haven’t seen a rifle. What’s a rifle? Oh. Oh. Oh. Okay. Oh. Oh. Oh, here we go. Yeah, forgot about the fuel. Oo, yeah, I grew a garden. Yay me. Look at this garden. Isn’t this nice, kid? Let’s get to sit by the fire. You’re so well taken care of by me with no other people on our team to bring us down. Oh yeah, warm clothing. I guess I’ll need this at some point. Good thing I hung on to the bunny foots. What does that mean? Can I not go in here? Uh, nope. Yep. Can’t go in there. Oh god, it’s those people again. Should I fortify my base? Maybe. Bear traps. Does that help? Log wall. Oh, I don’t even have enough for the log wall. All right, bear traps it is. I just keep running in circles. Ow. Am I safe? Ah. Welcome to the bear trap. The bear trap’s doing nothing. The bear trap’s doing nothing. Ah. Okay. Well, at least the deer is gone, so I can roam. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Really? You shot me from behind? Oh, he’s glitched out. Oh my god. I can’t do it. I can’t do it. I’ve made so much progress. Okay, maybe I can’t do it alone. Maybe, you know, I was trash talking everybody, but maybe, you know, it’s not worth going broke over. Maybe I need to try again with a a team. Maybe I need to stop playing this game. Yeah, probably. That’s probably the correct answer.
