MINECRAFT JUST REVEALED INFO ON NEW ANIMALS, MINECART UPDATE, BLUEBERRIES + MORE!

A little bit more context on Mojang’s little blueberry slip up and how it just might be a little bit more. What kinds of animals we could potentially expect to come to Minecraft? Mojang’s 50-year plan. And of course, of course, the Schmenment update. Earlier this year, one of the coolest events of all time, the Tigimi Nenbon interview, a three-part epic Minecraft interview saga revealing information inside of Nenbon said, but also Mojang’s inner workings. Stuff was super juicy. Really, really cool. Well, sit back and buckle up, my fellow cats eye connoisseurs, because a second interview, we’ve got a brand new one. Just earlier this month with creator A dear TV, Olv the legend himself, well, he actually went live with a deer in a three and a halfhour long epic saga. Now, this interview saga is beautiful, but wasn’t in English. And that moment right there for me, a genius multilingual lad who only speaks one language. That would prove to be a roadblock. Oh, but that’s where my friend Clump comes in. Big shout out. I’m going go ahead and link Clump’s link down in the description. Go smash follow for me. Clump was able to watch the entire live stream when it happened and translate everything, specifically the key points, over to English for us. So, first, the general vibes of this interview. This was all done live over on YouTube. I’ll also leave a link to the live stream if you want to check it out yourself. The beginning of this live stream sees Olaf and Adar talking, chatting it up a little bit. Before too long, they hop into this little game called Roblox inside of the newest updates and then messing around down in their minds. A little bit later, they swing it over to a multiplayer server in a little game called Terraria, and they’re flying around, talking around, and doing things. And then a little bit later in this live stream, Olrav, the Minecraft developer in this instance, played a little bit of hideandsek with some of Adira’s viewers. And one of the coolest events of this interview saga, Olava then did a little bit of a Q&A with some of the winners, the top 10 of the hideand-seek miniame. Of course, all the while, while playing Minecraft for 3 and 1/2 hours, tons of stuff was talked all about involving a Mojang, a Minecraft, the updates, and more. Now, partially because it’s that romantic sunrise hour, but also because I think it’s a banger spot to start, let’s go ahead and kick everything off with Mojang’s long-term ambitions for this little game that we know and love. As we know, in years past, straight from the dev’s mouths themselves, they have declared that they have plans for Minecraft to be a 100redyearlong game and then more recently a 50-year long game. And great news for my long-term gamers out there because the 50-year plan, well, it’s still so on. We are so bad. According to Oaf, Mojang definitely still has plans to make Minecraft last, continue supporting and updating the game with new contents and features for at least 50 years into the future. Now, does that mean Mojang specifically knows all of the updates for the next 50 years? No, definitely not. They only plan a couple of years ahead, as in until like 2028. One of the juiciest little bits of information that Olaf said at one point he casually mentions that hey yeah I do kind of know some of the things that will come to the game even all the way out until 2028 that is if plans don’t change 2028 bro I mean I know it’s already 2025 halfway through over but dude man 2028 feels like a million lifetimes away that’s pretty insane oh my god dude oh the pandas my heart you’re So adorable, dude. Olaraf also confirms, like other devs have done before, that oh boy, at least some of the Minecraft devs, well, they’re currently working on a very large update behind the scenes that is coming to Minecraft. Well, in the future, dude, that gets me so excited. Like, what could it be? Next up, the Nether. Olaf’s been at Minecraft for a little bit of time, including development of the Nether update. In Minecraft, we got this fancy little nifty enchantment called soul speed. It goes under boots. When you have soul speed on and you put a boots on and you move around, there are these really cool little particles that’ll pop up as you run around on the soul sand. Well, in the live stream in this screenshot right here, never before seen, I believe, or showed off a little bit of an early version of soul speed particles. And actually, early on in this interview is really, really cool. Or was showing off on his machine like a bunch of different things from development that have never been seen before. basically just screen sharing different footage and screenshots of prototype to Minecraft features. Not only do I love that actually has documentation and has saved these files for all of these years, like 5 years now, but also that it would be so chill to show them to us. Like, dude, that’s so cool. Also, check out the statue built. It’s a copper statue or a statue with a copper bucket on it. Zooie. Now, moving on to the most intriguing experimental Minecraft update that has been experimental for 84 years now. The minecart update initially debuted to the Minecraft community last summer, about this time actually, and now a year later, is still experimental. But good news, Overap has revealed that a minecart update definitely is coming to the game at some point in the future. Who knows, maybe if you smash like on this video by the time this video is over. All right. All right. And I want to make it clear for the obuse angles out there. I actually have no control over the minecart updates, but it would be really cool if you smash like on this video. Nonetheless, our massive minecart update, it definitely Wait, did you just stop? Our massive minecart update definitely is still planned to actually come to the game. It’s just a matter of well, for one, whenever the update is actually finished, can it come to the game? And for two, if it’s an experimental toggle and not the main part of an update, it needs to fit the update theme. for our cool new little copper dropper update. The copper golem actually was a side addition to this update. You see, I guess in typical Minecraft dev fashion, they’re just obsessed with the copper and they knew they wanted another update all about copper and then they said, “Hey, wait a second. Wasn’t there a mod from the past that is copper?” So, I mean, obviously from the snapshots and everything that we’ve seen in the update so far, we know now that this update is all about copper. But the wild part to me is the fact that it’s not just starting with the copper golem. Like the devs had the idea to add more copper stuff into the game initially. Only after the devs had the idea of implementing some of this copper stuff, maybe the tools or blocks or whatever. All didn’t specifically say where the copper dropper update initially began, but only after the idea of adding some more copper stuff to the game did the devs then consider the copper golem and therefore consider reworking the copper golem for this brand new update. Now, on to the note of copper tools and armor and why the devs specifically flipped their vision with this stuff. If you can remember their initial statements when copper was added to the game in the caves and cliffs update, they stated pretty clearly that copper tools and armor would never be a thing. It wasn’t planned at all and it wouldn’t make sense with their vision for copper. Nowadays, they flipped it, turned it on its head, and we have copper tools and armor coming to the game sometime soon. The reason they’ve gone ahead and flipped their vision around here actually has to do with the caves and cliffs update and the gameplay loop changes that have been experienced and tested out by the Minecraft community over these past 5 years or so. In the olden days of Minecraft, if you played before caves and cliffs update, you will remember that iron was actually pretty easy to get early on. After the caves and cliffs update, I mean, it is the case. It’s still pretty easy to get, but it’s not always the case. instead. Obviously here, like just from the side of this random mountain, copper is way easier to get your hands on in large quantities early game than iron is. Realizing that iron is a little bit harder to find than it used to, and also my assumption here, probably realizing that iron is so so useful. Well, the devs changed their vision with copper and said, “Hey, wait a minute. With this stuff being so easy to get your hands on early game, wouldn’t it be cool if you could actually just well, you know, find the stuff super easily and upgrade your tools and arc?” Honestly, it’s so kind of them. We can save our precious iron for beautiful things like hopper and to farms and things like that. Meanwhile, we can take useless, despicable copper. And actually, well, it’s not so useless anymore. All right. Now, in a sneaky accidental reveal that still boggles my mind to this day how this actually happened. And an official video on the Minecraft YouTube channel, we got a glimpse of blueberries, blue glowberries in the background of like a million different screenshots. I don’t know how the Mojang team actually messed up so hard and dismissed everyone’s eyes, but it missed everyone’s eyes. Now, as you might remember, we talked about it shortly after this video dropped. The devs have gone ahead and clarified that the blueberry thing, well, it doesn’t actually hint at anything. It was a mistake. They’re working on future game drops all the time, but blue globe berries aren’t one of them. Or specifically, recolored glowberries. Yeah, that’s not a thing. But this warning here in hindsight and with the added context of Raf in this live stream h recolored glowberries aren’t an intended feature. Well, to me, now that I think about this a little bit more, I mean, yeah, obviously the devs aren’t going to add glowberries in the game, but just recolor them. That sneaky little wording right there is very interesting. When this topic of the weird glowberry nonsense came up in the Olaf live stream, Olaf said that basically, yeah, the devs are working on something and that definitely wasn’t meant to be shown off quite yet. Aha. So, it just makes me wonder what that thing actually could be. Like blueberries or different blue vines coming to the game. I don’t know. But Minecraft definitely does need a little bit more fruit. Berries, right? Animals, moss, obviously pretty big part of the game in Minecraft. One of the most interesting parts of this live stream with here is actually all about animals. Eventually, a little bit further on in this live stream, the topic of mobs and animals coming to Minecraft, what we could see and might not see, eventually came up and they talked all about it. Olaf said that the Minecraft devs, they don’t really always love the idea of adding more hostile or mean bad mobs that you need to take out and more specifically hostile bad animals pulled from the real world. So, like maybe for example, a shark like we’ve known about before. The devs really don’t love the idea of adding real world animals that are going to be mean and harmful to the player into the game. Instead, if they’re going to add a real world animal, they want to incentivize the player to be nice to that animal in the game and therefore maybe in the real world as well. So, connecting the dots and drawing my own conclusions here, that would mean probably something like an alligator that is just ruthless and mean to the player that’s probably unlikely to come to the game. But on the other hand, something adorable, the furry, and cute, small, and maybe like a hamster specifically. Like the concept of a hamster was literally brought up in the live stream. Araf said, “Well, yeah, maybe something more like a hamster. Something more along that lines, just cute, adorable, furry that the player can interact with that is more likely to come to the game.” This does make me wonder though if a concept like, let’s say, maybe the alligator could come to the game, but not in a direct alligator form. And this is just my thinking here. Maybe if the devs wanted to add say an alligator to the game, they would do it in more of the sense kind of like the sniffer where it’s just something that is maybe functionally similar to something in the real world, but acts and looks completely different and is obviously called something different, too. Multiplayer Minecraft, obviously, it’s a big part of the game. The topic of multiplayer Minecraft and playing with your friends was actually a topic that came up at multiple times in this big long live stream. Now, as you might remember, in this video right here, we talked all about a secret surfer event Mojang recently had. Take a look at some of the more recent Minecraft updates. Trial Chamber, Happy Gas, and I mean, you think about the features. They’re all about making multiplayer in some way a little bit better. Like Corner Hard MC in his own live stream a couple of weeks ago, Olaf also stated the devs are highly concerned about multiplayer Minecraft and making it easier, more enjoyable. The fact that not one but two different devs that I believe work on very different parts of the game have recently said that Moang is highly focused on multiplayer and trying to make it better. Well, yeah. I mean, obviously taking the word straight up how they are there. It seems that multiplayer is a huge focus at Mojang right now in this modern era. Relating to multiplayer and specifically Java Edition, Olaraf stated that the devs love the idea of making multiplayer server multiplayer server management like even without realms a little bit easier and more intuitive for Java edition. Now, of course, you got to keep in mind I just want to make it clear that everything that I’m saying today, well, this is all paraphrasing all not exactly direct quotes here. Olaraf also stated that the devs do have a goal hopefully of one day having a little bit of crossplatform play action happening. Huh. So, this one, it really throws us back to that video from a couple of weeks ago. Check it out next after this video if you haven’t yet. It seems like that theory of Java Bedrock potential cross-platform play, well, it might not be so far-fetched. All right. All right. Now, we’ve got to talk about it. The end update, it’s inevitable that the end would come up in a live stream that involves the Minecraft devs. when the end update topic was brought up and it came up a couple of different times. But one of the most interesting things that Aruff said about it is that it’ll happen eventually and when it does happen, it’ll be surprising and unexpected. He also said that mods overhauling the end and you know like typically just overlaying a bunch of different biomes or whatever isn’t exactly what the devs want for the vision of an updated end. Instead, they still want this wasteland vibe, only with a little bit more content to it. Oh, we ah what that could actually mean. That’s crazy. I could go on about it all day long about maybe what the end and a wasteland version of the end, but just updated could actually look like, but the fact that many mods get it wrong, the idea of a Nether update except inside of the end, that’s not exactly it, huh? Vibrant visuals. on the topic of Minecraft’s most beautiful graphic update of all time. He said that it’s going to be different on Java. Now, I wish I could unpack this one a little bit more. I’m not too sure exactly what different means. This all makes me wonder, though, considering the fact that we already have colored lighting on Bedrock Edition aimed to vibrant visuals. Meanwhile, the Java dev said no to colored lighting on vibrant visuals. I wonder if that’s what different maybe means that maybe some vibrant visual features will be supported on one version. So colored lighting, it clearly works very well and does not affect performance over here at all. Maybe that will end up being the vibrant visuals on bedrock experience. Meanwhile, Java, if they can’t make it not affect performance, it just won’t be included on vibrant visuals Java. What Olaf actually meant by it being different, I I’m not too sure though. I don’t know if that’s exactly correct. Last but not least, vertical slabs. All right, so for this part, I’m not too sure of the context here. This definitely sounds like a joke, but when asked about a vertical slabs, said that he was under a contract and could not to talk about the vertical slabs. Um, that definitely sounds like a clever, funny way to just swerve the topic. Yeah, I’m not too sure if was very serious about that one, but I mean, I guess you never know. Clumpy, huge, huge thank you, man, for translating and watching this interview for me. I appreciate you. You’re a legend. The actual interview is really long and pretty cool to watch. If you’re one of those multilingualists who can speak multiple languages, check it out. It’s linked down below. There is a little bit more that we can go over, but this video is getting kind of long. So, if you want a part two, tap like. Thank you all so much for watching. It’s been me Wattles. Subscribe and I’ll see you tomorrow. Goodbye. [Music]

Recently Ulraf, A Minecraf Developer, did a fascinating stream with AdirTV. Over the course of over 3 hours tons of details on new updates, mobs, and future plans for Minecraft were discussed. Thanks to Clump today we are taking a look at the highlights from the big interview!

  1. It would be such a shame to bring vibrant visuals to java without colored lighting. That's the perfect opportunity to add the feature that has been requested for years

  2. I'm gonna say it! Why didn't they add brown and black bears to normal biomes with the addition of the warm and cold variants of the main 3? Just give them the same behavior as the polar bear, neutral unless cubs are nearby. MC needs more animal mobs to really make the world feel alive like they say they want.

  3. If they want to make an end update, but they want the end to keep its "wasteland" look… d'you think they might put something inside the end islands, instead of on the surface? Imagine if the end islands were like geodes, and you had to break into them to discover what kind of biome they had inside! Mining for treasure in a whole new way–to find these hidden alcoves of life. That'd be a blast!

  4. What could be really fun for sharks if they wanna make sure people aren’t aggressive with them: make reef sharks, bamboo sharks and nurse sharks the ones added. They’re pretty widely known as being nice and very rare to bite. Plus they’re cute as hell and could be found around corals. Plus their designs would be so nice in the game

  5. Mojang says they don't want real animals being dangerous as if theyre isnt a giant hostile spider in their game (i guess its size makes it more fantasy like but still)

  6. I tested adding the copper minecart to Minecraft and it actually works really well! It slows down when it oxidises and can be waxed. It would fit in perfectly as it's faster but has a nerf.

  7. People are really missinterpret Mojang not wanting to add mean/hostile animals. The don't want people to hate the IRL animal if it's hostile in game and if they make it neutral or positive it could downplay the vary real danger of the animal especially if it's a animal that tends to be close to people like brown or black bears. The reason polar bears are the exception is because not a lot of people live around polar bears and those who do vary much know the danger of them.

  8. Alligator would be perfect if it was ruthless and very hard to kill, teach kids to stay away by my opinion, anyways it’s their game they can do whatever they want with it.
