Raids Base Sky Chests – Palworld Tides of Terraria
Hey, what’s up guys? Raids here. I’ve gotten questions and comments about my sky chests that I use in some raid bases. And in this video, I wanted to show you guys how I build them, how I get them up in the sky, and why it might be a good idea for you to use them in your own raid base, regardless of which level of progression you are in the game. It doesn’t really matter if you’re newer to raiding or very advanced. This is a cool thing for you to have in your raid base for a number of reasons. Uh, number one, they’re very durable. Number two, you can stack them up on the sky. And number three, they uh provide a anywhere location gravel uh a target. So let’s say that you’re fighting a dangerous raid boss now or in the future and uh you want to distract the boss, you want to stay in the base radius, which is very valuable in raids, if you’ve seen in my videos. Uh you can also drop pals um from the chest while still in base radius. So let’s say that I wanted to drop a rescue pal. I can do that safely from up here. uh and the rescue pal or the combat pal can be dropped from the safe vantage point of these chests uh to help in the raid. So um those are reasons why I like having them and they’ve been very useful to me in u various raids that I’ve done and various builds that I’ve used. Also they give you u a grappling uh points regardless of whether you’re using Gilclaw or regardless of whether you’re using a mount or not. They have uh mobility which is good. Not all builds that you use for raids you want a mount. So let’s go over how to build them. Very simple here. Uh, it’s advanced chests. Uh, the advanced chest has 15,000 HP. It is very tanky, very durable. Uh, modern raid bosses such as Xenolord Ultra and Moon Lord cannot break them. They just do not deal damage to structures. I don’t believe Moon Lord uh deals damage to structures at all. So, it looks like as rays are progress progressing harder and harder, the the devs seem to be moving in a direction where uh the base structures aren’t really a target. They’re not really vulnerable to damage. Uh, so the the chests do not catch fire, which is very important. So, they would don’t catch fire. They’re very durable. Uh you can fight Xeno Lord Ultra all day long and he won’t go through the 15,000 HP that the chest have. So, that’s good for you to keep in mind. Uh so, number one, they’re very durable. Uh here is how they how I build them. You basically uh jump up and chain build. And you’re going to see that my penings in the base are building regardless of height. You can uh scale these up as high as you want. So, here I’m just trying to get them up at the same level as my other ones. So, a note about the height. You don’t want to go up too high because if you go up too high and you find yourself on the ground, you’re not going going to be able to grapple onto them. So, you want them at a level where you can still grapple onto them from the ground to the top most floor. Uh, and you don’t want them too low because the point of it is for you to, you know, have a vantage point. You can build as many as you want. If you want to, you could cover the whole ceiling of your base with these. I’ve never done that, but I imagine that there might be some advantage to putting uh a whole second floor on your raid base here. Now, the reason that you don’t want to use foundations is because foundations can break. Um, and I really prefer having chest, the the floating obstacles. You could trap foundations, I guess. Some of the newer foundation structures are uh very durable. I actually have never tested foundations on on Xenolord. Uh, but I I don’t really need a whole floor. I just need like some vantage points. And these are very tanky. Uh, I’m actually haven’t tested the HP of foundations against chests. So if somebody in the comments can let me know uh whether foundations are as tanky as chests. Uh so once you have the uh altitude that you want, uh I’m going to start breaking everything from the fourth level down. And the reason for that is that when the boss targets you, the chests that are below the higher higher level are going to eat a lot of attack. So here I’m just breaking everything down or I don’t need it. So it has less to repair. And as you can see here, the ones that I built at the top still work. So you can see here that uh they don’t fall down. They still work. They’re still up in the sky. Uh here I’m just storing some mats, so they still work just fine. Um and I can grapple up to them. So here I’m showing you that this altitude is perfect for your grapple up to the topmost floor right here. So if I ever find myself on an on foot build and I don’t have gill claw or whatever, I can just use my grapple shot. Highest level grapple shot can take you across the base. You could glide across. Uh here I have a couple of them built. See how I’m gliding to and from. This provides a massive distraction regardless of build. That’s the cool thing. You don’t need gclaw. am amounts if you’re using an on- foot build. This is always very valuable to have in a dangerous raid, whether it be Moon Lord, um, Xenolord Ultra, whatever. It’s just a good to have. It’s good to have options for escape. It’s always good. Even if you really overpower a raid, it’s good to have it, right? It’s good to have it. We don’t know what the future holds. So, more strategies is the point of this channel. More raid strategies. The more options you have, the better. So, here I’m going to show you uh an actual example of Xenolord Ultra. Uh, I summoned Xenolord Ultra in the same raid base that we just built. And here I’m you’re going to see me waste I sped it up obviously for the purpose of the video. Here you’re going to see me waste the boss’s time and the boss is going to start chasing me from one chest to the other. And I’m just dodging a lot of attacks and grappling from one chest to the other. My shield comes back. I wasted so much of the boss’s time. I think I wasted like four minutes of the fight here. Um the only thing that you can’t block with this method is going to be cosmic meteor because obviously cosmic meteor is perfect tracking and the whole point of this is to do it without having to leave the base radius. There. I got caught by a beam slicer. But as you can see, the chests here are in a good height where you can dodge. I think there’s a raid that happened in the middle of the raid. So, we have a raid on a raid. A raid happened. Cosmic meters on the base now. You could also build chest really high to make you uh leave the base radius. If you make the chest really, really high, what’s going to happen if is if you go up to the very top, you’re going to lose aggro, which you could do. In that case, we’ll reset the boss. If you go up really high, the boss will reset aggro and go straight to your pal box. Uh I plan to do one of those, which might help. Uh but that’s going to be it for this video. video. I hope you guys found it helpful the why I have sky chest on my array base and what the purpose is. So, hope uh somebody found that helpful. Thank you as always for watching your comments. I will see you guys on the next one.

Advanced Chest is a level 58 tech: https://paldb.cc/en/Advanced_Chest Take a look at these structures for your raid base! I found them to be very helpful when playing with a variety of builds. Staying in the base radius is very valuable during a raid, because when you are inside or near the base radius you can take aggro, which wastes raid boss action economy, and that is a huge deal during a normal raid fight. My only problem with this strat is how expensive the hexiolite chests are to mass produce. Otherwise, this is great for pulling aggro!
(Yes, I know about the hexiolite dupe glitch with the chests, but that just feels like cheating)
I can confirm that Moon Lord can indeed destroy buildings as I've lost a couple of pal pods in a fight due to a ghost eye targeting a pal in the pod. He doesn't do much structure damage because all his attacks are homing or lock on and the bullets don't cause burn (thankfully).
You can put anything in the sky if you have enough space. This technique is useful in Raid base with: Pal expedition station, Pal pods, Pal terminal, Food box.
Also, if low on Hexolite, use Pal Dimensional Storage instead, it works fine (just requires some tricks to stack well).
Note that you pal can't repair using Repair kits in sky chests, the chest need to be available (for unknown reason).
Three things I wanna say:
1-) Good job, as always.
2-) Try using foundations/wall to reach the altitude you want then start building the chest pile, it should be faster and less expensive. Even to destroy, just destroy the bottom chest of the pile, then the foundation and all the structures will collapse.
3-) Did you try building the Pods high in the sky instead of on the ground? I play on official servers and it works just fine. Rescue and getting off the Pod works perfectly fine and my pals never get stuck in the Pods, because they just drop from the sky when done healing. This way, Pods will take a lot less damage, will rarely be on fire, pals in the Pods will rarely be targeted or hit by a random AoE attack and die at 1 HP and you have more free room on the floor to fight. I even have some hot tubes, Feed Box and Guild Chest in the sky.
I love making objects float in this game. Making the expedition station float above my base frees up so much space
I put down a temporary foundation and then just stack and climb a pylon or walls to my desired height. Place one or two roofs, then a chest and then what I want to float. BTW you can use the new railings to float stuff. And you can manually stack another railings ontop of one to use the floating railing as a grapple point.
Hey, what's the location of this new raid base? your video on it is unavailable now
Another way to build it you can just use the Pillar build to the height you want,
then a roof then the advance box on it, then stack advance box
break 1st advance box before break the foundation
Raids, build a floor and then build a treasure chest. Stack chests at this level. Break the chest at floor level then break the foundation and the floor the remaining chests above the floor will now float in the sky. This might be a little faster with less materials used.

Can I ask you offtopic? Is Xenolord with his exclusive skills good as a party combat pal?
