I use unicorn to cheese queen bee (since if there’s a bee then you can use enemies to hurt her aka cool farm ideas for grenades.) and I use the skeleton to cheese any other boss since get a heart statue and the invisibility frames from the skeleton you basically are unstoppable
I usually collect all statues I find and eventually I usually build a fight chamber where all the statues are hooked to a short timer so I can fight waves of enemies to test weapons. With a pigron statue you can farm bacon if I recall correctly
Here are some of the most useful statues in my opinion: Granite golem statue: -Infinite blocks -Infinite gems via the geodes -Extra decent money from night vision helmets Bomb statue: -Literally spawns inifnite bombs for free Slime statue: -Infinite gel, and the drops are less restricted than other statues, making farming them much more automatic
Hoplite statues are my favorite to (ab)use. Early game, their armor set is decent with knockback immunity, and you can easily get a hefty amount of javelins.

Use a bird statue to spawn birds that you can collect with a net and then sell.

Just kidding. I used slime and rabbit statues to get lots of loot and sell it (after the slime or rabbit is killed)
I once had a glowing mushroom biome with a wraith statue trap off screen, mobs kept spawning on the pressure plate and spawning wraiths
I use statues with nimbus rod and spectre armor to have a lot of passive healing
Bast, heart, and star are the only good ones
The star statue gives you manna too

An enemy I don’t find the most often is the goblin scouts, but because I found a statue for them, I got the banner really quickly.

It always annoys me that you cant use critter statues to catch bait. God forbid they make ANYTHING about fishing less tedious.
Was playing ranger for the first time, found the flamethrower, and proceeded to kill 4000 blue slimes from a statue for ammo. Fun times
