I love how people see this mod as controversial to the point the creator got death threats and had to change it, but the hundreds of purn mods don’t get much controversy. Also there are horror mods for stardew valley, this isn’t the darkest mod by fair. I do unironically love that the creator did maliciously comply with the bs threats.

Speaking about mods for everything… there is ONE mod that isn't anywhere…literally anywhere (I know one is being made, but idk if the person has given up on it..). Marry/Dating Pierre mod. HEAR ME OUT ALRIGHT-? That man is such a wet cat…and I need him. Caroline has the wizard anyway! /silly
Whats so bad about butchering animals. Its a staple of life? Why beat around the bush. A farming game might as well allow another process that happens on farms
Do people not realize that if most people throughout history ate meat because it's a quick way to get fats and protein and because of that, butchering has always been done? Like, you do realize for most people that's just a way of life and isn't done out of cruelty? To threaten someone for making an animal husbandry mod based on realism is actually insane. They don't see the irony of their ACTUAL violence towards another person for something they could easily ignore. I for one, appreciate the amount of detail and care they put into it.
You didn't mention that you have the option to toggle off the "butcher" features if you want to. Having played with the mod in both formats, I would definitely recommend it in either.
With the butchering activated you have additional items that will be required for perfection and possibly the community center, but a new way to make money on animals. The creator has made it so the meat given is worth more than selling the animal outright, so it is worth it monetarily. It is also worth it to cook the new meat dishes, as they have some extremely good effects in keeping with the relative rarity of meat items.
Without butchering, you still have access to the insemination portion. It makes growing your animal herds significantly easier and more economical. It also actually gives you control over which animals you're getting more of, unlike the vanilla random pregnancy event. You also keep the ability to give treats to your animals, including pets. These treats vary by species and are both a kind of fun element role play wise, and a way of quickly building friendship with your animals.
Aw man, one of my favorite mods (That I have some of the addons for) is a dark mod when its teleportation to a place where meat grows on trees and the people wanna pet the cute cows
Oh reley, so is there a mod for the geneva cheklist, nukes, space marines, big robots, a faction of insane peaople with cybernetics and they also utilize eldrich horors, more warcrimes, beter torture?
I thought this was going in a completely different direction. I would have never guessed alien vegans with meat trees and impregnating pigs with syringes full of mushrooms.
God fucking damnit… When you said a mod for everything my mind instantly went there ain't a mod for animal marriage/illegal stuff and then you say animal husbandry… God damnit
