Soma is S tier just for the warframe reference alone. For nearly a decade now, I've bounced between terraria and warframe as my 2 favorite games of all time, so having the Soma in terraria is sooo sick to me. Also helps that it was (and still is) one of my favorite warframe weapons. It's been consistently solid throughout pretty much every meta shift the game's had over the years.

After beating calamitas I immediately crafted red sun and went to the DEEP and squared up with an adult eidolon
