If you were to ever risk the suffering and sorrow from attempting a hardcore run at this, you'd probably need to slab every single surface and ladder every wall and trapdoor every ceiling in the nether you intend to come back to — and behind you everywhere you go, too! Then torch everywhere in the overworld maybe out 1 or 2 chunks past your simulation distance (minimum 5, each chunk is 16 blocks, 7 chunks out for paranoia levels of safety, so torching up every single block out to 112 blocks in EVERY direction), and you'll… probably still need a bed in case some creeper pops out of a cave or ONE little dark square atop a boulder or villager's home you missed a distance away and wandered its merry little grassy ass over to you… then leave one chest after another every 6 or fewer squares between each other, empty from one and immediately turn around and fill the other, move between that and the next one… but super-slow super-coward play would be quite boring to watch, I suppose? And very boring to do? Interesting things happen in imperfection!
