  1. I do this too. Near the end of the season, I’ll plant a cheap crop, and when the next season hits, it saves me a ton of time refilling and watering tiles (I have sprinklers)

  2. Actual biggest mistake: planting before strawberries, Hear me out
Is planting 40 parsnips really gonna help day 1? And you won’t have money to get the fiberglass rod (unless you reset alot or have op luck) and to plant stuff before the egg festival, it’ll just take up time that could be used fishing or mining to help get more sprinklers or money for strawberries! Also strawberries are just that good, if you’re planting anything else than strawberries after spring 13th, what are you doin?
This is from a “Min Max”ish perspective, there is no wrong way to play stardew, but for efficiency, i think holding off til strawberries is best.

  3. I planted my first ancient fruit seed in the fall of the first year, not knowing how long it would take to grow. Winter came and the fruit disappeared.
