Well… yeah, Bedrock is literally the upgraded version. The idea was that Minecraft was made on Java, a simple code language but it's not ideal for performance and quite frankly, suitable for gaming anymore.
Bedrock was born to be the solution, Minecraft, built from the ground up again using a new code language that's more suitable, but they did such a shit job that playing on Java is still a better experience

As a bedrock player, splitscreen is a good thing to have, and I can go back a couple years when me and the boys played together for the last time, before they moved 😔 you can emulate controller on Java, and the marketplace SUCKS only like 4 pvp packs are good (paid) or if you get something like realismcraft (worth 10 bucks imo) Java IS better in most cases, but the mu.tiplayer is better, and the hive is the ONLY good featured server ( debatably better than hypixel)
