I had to look up what this event actually is when I was working on 100 percenting Terraria. They're kind of funny I guess, but completely and utterly worthless. Note: No, I did not successfully get every Terraria achievement like I wanted, I still need 140 fishing quests 😂
Funny thing is back in the day the first legion did have a use because you couldn’t get the snow biome in all worlds so it allowed you to get snow block but now I has no use unless your doing a sky block
This is easily the most surreal event in the game >Sprites that look like they were from the game’s launch >No unique drops >Hardmode exclusive And somehow, they have an achievement based around defeating them.
this is one of my favorite fights. every this is my favorite event. snowmen can drop presents, which means that you can summon the frost legion infinite times with good rng. also, they drop mech summons, so they’re overpowered in early harmode.
Honestly my least favourite is the Pirate Invasion. As useless as the frost legion is, you have to go out of your way to fight it, whereas I usually get bombarded by Pirate Invasions at the beginning of hardmode
Should be noted you don’t need it to be winter time to summon the event, it is just the easiest time of the year to get the item to summon the event, which can then be used at any time of the year. Additionally, you can obtain the item in hardmode post plantera because the day after a frost moon is concluded you can obtain presents from enemies. Same goes with pumpkin moon and goodie bags, which is much more useful because cosmetics do a whole lot more for a post platera player than anything you can get from presents

I hate the pirate event because it shows up whenever i least want it and only gives coins
I dont think ive ever done it or have come across a snow globe

I’ve only done it once, and that was for the Fargos accessories

The reason they drop snow is because it was not a renewable block in 1.1.

It did also allow Santa to spawn in your base during Christmas, but he didn’t give anything that was super useful
