  1. i just installed a mod to change my sleep time to x100 its normal speed, otherwise the 200 angler quests achievement would have been painful af. not wasting my time in this, i have some other things to do in the game

  2. to defend relogic here, i think the angler quest limit is done deliberately to discourage players from spending too much time on non stop fishing, you're not meant to waste half your playthrough fishing it's just a minor mechanic that you engage with to get buffs and the rewards are a fun little thing to make it interesting. as for the rng i personally agree that it's diabolical but the entire game is full of rng that's as bad or worse, i would be down but removing rng from the game would be a massive overhaul that goes against relogic's vision

  3. The one quest a day rule only exist because of multiplayer, you all have the same quest so you dont have to go different places to get rewards. They could make it so it gets rerandomized when all players deliver their fish and fix the problem but atleast the rule isnt there for no reason.

  4. I don't find the fishing mechanics unnecessary and boring, but I REALLY don't like Angler. If I could, I would delete Angler from the game and make his quest items craftable.

  5. here's an idea, you can take any amount of fishing quests that angler gives you and you start a bronze fishing quests you can go all the way to platinum fishing quests and as you go higher you can choose any fishing quests available and you unlock more as you go higher up the ranks and get better rewards and the also give you a guarantee reward for doing those fishing quests and the angler will show you which item you can get and certain quests when choosing quests and some can give you mutiple items but they are rare and also the quests you do in the day are a limited amount around 10 or 15 but you can unlock more as you get higher ranks and have a reroll system to change quests and those are limited only like 3 rerolls per day or with a reroll ticket you can find in chests or by doing fishing quests, kinda a fun way to make fishing more interesting and have a progression to it like the rest of the game and you also unlock new fishing items by defeating bosses or getting to hard mode.

  6. Fishing isn't even bad. People say it's boring because they don't commit a lot. Fishing is optional, and you can beat the entire game without even asking the angler a quest. If your lacking buff potions, you can spend a solid 5 minutes fishing in a biome and you'll get what you need.

  7. For the angler..
Should have the shop idea, but have a different currency needed to buy em. The only way to get that currency is angler quests.. (the more rarer the item is the more currency earned)

  8. Idea: use the shimmer on a Golden Carp to get a new item called the Master Angler Guidebook, a consumable item that (when used) allows two quests per day instead of one.
