Horrible weapon, the sword and the bow will still be the most practical
okay the lunge enchant is increadible! but the durability kinda breaks the fun part of it imo

Imo they need to make skeleton horses burn in daylight now too, but let us armor them to protect them. I want an armored skelly horse. Netherite horse armor would be cool too, even cooler on an undead horse!

I know there’s a RTS mod (minefortess I believe it’s called?) that explores the faction concept. Honestly if they added enemies from dungeons you could have an entire list of factions to choose from
Illagers
Witches (maybe as their own thing)
Villagers
Piglins
Undead
Enderlings
Plants (creepers, creaking & whispers & leap leaf from dungeons)
Golems, mounts & pets could be used for specific factions (Ex. spiders & undead horses for zombies & skeletons)
with the happy ghast and now nautilus having "home" positions, I would love to get a "roaming" option for tamed dogs and cats. One where they don't follow you, but aren't doomed to a fate of forever sitting in my house after i get them.

Spears are really complex, and hace range, it really smells like combat update
why doesn't the nautilus drop the nautilus shell..
They should make zombie nautilus aggressive and be ridable by drowns but not by the player

I hope we get more enchantments this one doesn't cover everything the Spear can do it would also be nice to add to what the Spear can do like Riptide.
Lunge enchantment is like a riptide enchantment but on land seems cool
You know I originally didn't care, but now that I'm seeing them swimming around in game I really wish that we got a rideable ammonite instead, and that the baby nautilus was just the actual nautilus, we don't have many fish in minecraft, I feel like it's almost a missed opportunity to make the nautilus so big. Plus it's just strange having the actual nautilus shell item that's small enough to fit in your hand, meanwhile the canon minecraft nautlius is like the size of a car
Also, this is purely me spitting out fun ideas and it's starting to slide into non vanilla territory, but if we did decide roll with the prehistoric theme, the ammonite could have it's own camel in the form of an orthoceras, where maybe it's not quite as fast or it doesn't give the water breathing effect when riding it, but instead it has an upgraded ram due to the pointy shell
