  1. Thing about the kraken is that most likely right after plantera youd either go to the dungeon or fight post plantera solar eclipse, and the eclipse drops the eye of cthulu, which is better in every way, so either you dont use the kraken at all or you use it for like 20 mins even if youre doing a yoyo only challenge

  2. The thing with sniper rifle is that you have to spec for it. You gotta reforge all your accessories to crit chance, but after that it gets super good. Trade off is defence tho, but you can stay back with the sniper anyway.

  3. Is nobody going to mention that the Shadowbeam staff is objectively a cracked weapon? It has instant projectile velocity while firing, so you only need to hold your cursor over the boss. It easily out damaged the spectre staff, too. I believe it does more damage on top of having a faster use time

  4. So uh, what's your definition of enjoyable ?
Because you say that things like guns or other weapon that just shoot a projectiles are fun to use when all you're doing is just shooting a projectiles and Yoyo's aren't when you actually have to interact with the game and put your yoyo where the enemies are.
But you also say that homing weapons are fun to use but summons aren't although summons are just homing weapons but with a cute little sprite…
Is it the sound they make ? Is it what makes a weapon enjoyable or not for you ? In that case I would agree for whip because the sound they make is really satisfying, but if it isn't what makes a whip more fun to use than yoyo's ?

  5. Desert tiger staff is incredible. At least in the fun department when used with the correct setup of firecracker stacking. It shreds through bosses with that setup quicker than regular whip stacking with other minions (and firecracker stacking is also easier than a regular whip stacking technique), and it is just incredibly cute.

  6. I have no clue why you don't like the piranha gun. Strength aside, its really fun to just shoot the enemy when you have an opening, preferably with stealth or something, and then focus on dodging while the piranhas do the work. Not only that, but it bounces through enemies, so its also fun in invasions.

  7. Main issue with shadowbeam staff vs crowded enemies is the fact every pierced enemy takes less damage, so if you hit like 8 enemies at once, the last one will take almost no damage whatsoever. Meanwhile you can get razor typhoon from fishron that shreds every crowd and does respectable knockback while shadowbeam only stuns for a very little time.

  8. You definitely underrated scourge, its really strong meele weapon that grants great crowd control and huge single target dps, very few weapons in the game keeps being good vs multi and single targets.
Thats why i also have an issue with vamp knives. Those are defo better than after first balance changes towards them. They have used to be bad, now they are just okay for my taste. They doesnt have that great dps, you have to get a bit closer to maximize its potential, it really tend to be situationally good for health regen. But it really slows you down at killing the boss. Thats why scourge is imho better, you can keep distance from enemy, deal tons of damage to it and be fairly safe since the distance is your saviour.
If you tend to get low hp relatively often you should either: check accesories for improvements or you do something wrong and need to practice.

  9. Dungeon also lost usefulness after introducing pylons. Before them there were only three sources of teleporting over the map: via teleportation potions, via recall and magic mirrors and via teleports sold by steampunker, which you only were able to connect by wires sold by mechanics.
Its not like i dislike pylons, but they were purely introduce to add npc happiness mechanism that wasnt necesarily appreciated by parts of terraria community.

  10. -Criticized Muramasa
    -Opinion disregarded

But seriously, the muramasa is fun as heck to use and good for crowds of enemies or keeping them away from you, especially with attack speed buffs.

  11. The main problem I have with the staff of the frost hydra sentry is that it doesn’t even live up to being a hydra, I’d expect that it would have multiple heads to shoot projectiles out of even if it kept the bad aim but to supplement that it’d have a decent range frostburn/aggro pulling aura effect on its projectiles so even if it misses it it’s still able to provide something you can work with better as a summoner while making it more unique

  12. Idk how many people even bother with OOA, but hydra there goes crazy. You get to place only 2, but they are free, have decent pierce and damage. If you go for the full armor set you can place like 5, unless you're doing a landmine strat hydra is the goat of sentries

  13. i have a few disagreements with some of the opinions in this video because duh it's the internet , but i have to just point out that the sniper rilfe can still very much be a good weapon with the correct build. with the right setup you can put out 2K+ damage shots really consistently and from an extreme range considering the sniper rifle's right click functionality. the satisfaction is also through the roof when using any non-chlorophyte bullets especially in PVP where the sniper rifle excels against practically anyone who isn't using the zenith

on the other hand the tactical shotgun is considered one of the worst ranged weapons by a lot of people . i personally think it's fine enough, but i find it funny how you put it above the sniper when a lot of people would disagree i imagine

  14. Muramasa's past huge benefit is that it was autoswing, now it kinda lost its touch compared to the slower pre hm swords tbh

  15. The water bolt used to be more useful as you could sometimes get it to generate above 0 depth, where the dungeon guardian spawns, allowing use throughout pre-hardmode. It suffers after the change in I think 1.4 that made it nearly impossible for it to generate above 0 depth

  16. The Handgun's main personality is that it MAKES the vastly superiour Phoenix Blaster. That alone makes it a great weapon, you can reliably beat the WoF and take the thing to early hardmode with ease. Especially hypocritical because you mentioned murasama crafting the Night's Edge. The Sniper Rifle is AWESOME, such another oddball weapon doesn't exist in the game. It has simultaneously one of the slowest fire rate, one of the highest single damage, critical chance and projectile speed in the game, and how dare you not mention the awesome screen expansion ability. I keep this thing on the side as a tool similar to binoculars, and it's really fun to one tap things with it.

Also you didn't talk about the fucking rocket launcher! Maybe do your job properly before you call the damn jousting lance of all weapons ''NOT FUN TO USE,'' jesus christ-

  17. I feel melee in general, but especially true melee is lacking in options to dodge close up and potentially a pogo or some way to latch/grapple onto enemies would go a long way for melee

  18. I think you used the lance wrong. It glows once you hit max velocity if I remember correctly. And has to be at the right angle. You can activate this max speed with dashes and angled bounces on the slime mount. Pretty fun weapon. Kinda useless though yeah.

  19. Did you know that with whips or by right clicking on enemies with your staff you can lock on to enemies? With whips in particular this usually increases their damage dramatically.

  20. I HATE THE PALADIN'S HAMMER SO MUCH. IT'S TERRIBLE AND I DON'T KNOW WHY I USED IT SO MUCH IN THE LEGACY VERSION. IT SUCKS SO BAD FOR WHERE IT'S AT.

I guess it is kinda coo- awesome though.

  21. I feel like the dungeon items were mostly designed to be used in the dungeon or other close quarters environments/normal enemies, not bosses.

  22. Frost Hydra's a sentry, not a summon; so unless you have a better sentry option, there's no opportunity cost in putting a couple in the arena before starting a boss fight. Just use the war table won in the Old One's Army to open a second sentry slot.

  23. 5:15 the vampire knives are honestly probably the worst semi-viable weapon in the game. It can only be used as a utility, and in bosses, normal weapons provide similar effective healing per second because they just end the fight quicker.

  24. The desert tiger staff is literally the best summoner option for events (which are important for summoner at that point) and golem around that point of progression… I would say it’s great or even amazing. It’s a little bad against flying enemies, but luckily golem is grounded.

It does so much damage. As a guy who just did master mode summon damage only on my phone a few weeks back…

This staff made golem a complete breeze on master mode. Where it exists within the summoner progression it’s great.

I literally beat queen slime, used the blade staff to beat the mechs and plantera, it did a great job but was struggling against golem.

So I farmed for a desert key for 20 minutes in the under ground dungeon. Got it, and then tried to grind for dungeon accessories.

Obviously since summoner has low defence I wanted to go get master ninja gear, a few paladin shields for the hero shield and/or frozen shield.

A morning star happened to drop aswell.
And in the space of an hour I had all the gear I needed to turn master mode golem into a light breeze. And the desert tiger staff was an integral part of that.

And importantly, the desert tiger staff with master ninja gear can easily take on the Martian saucer on master mode, which can then get the xeno staff, which is the best summon to get for pillars and daytime EOL.

So maybe comparatively to the other classes it’s only “good”. But the desert tiger staff fits so nicely into summoner progression, and it’s so easy to get, because you probably already know where the chest is.

I’m a stan of that lil kitty cat.

  25. Hard mods dungeon should be either after WoF or the Mech bosses. After Plantera is just so late and everything is overshadowed by something else outside of the dungeon imo
