Hey could you add a mod list if you used some?
I have 1200+ hours in the game and i only once got the Living hat… It's a pain to get. If you do more of this challange (which would be awesome) but with other colors, and you can't decide if something is xy color you could check what the game consider it. Either on the Wiki or using the Look Up Anything mod.

If it helps, the green rain tree will boost moss production on nearby trees. That's why it has a range outline like a scarecrow.

Green is my favorite color!! Shame there's not a lot of green to sell in Stardew. I think emeralds would be the best(?) item really.
For the color that would make the most in game, I think it's blue! Diamonds, blueberry, and ancient fruit make a lot of money.
But I could also argue yellow, corn produces a lot but isn't that profitable. However starfruit wine sells for a high price!
I think if I were to do this, I would probably go hard on fishing in spring and try to catch the legend so I could stick it in a fish pond. Legend roe, especially when aged, is worth so much money. But even if that didn't work out, largemouth bass roe would still make for some nice steady income. And in summer after the green rain, I'd plant mossy seeds to get giant fiddlehead ferns to tap! If you didn't know, you can plant the seed and pick it up with a pickaxe until it gives you the tree type you want – the seed that will turn into a giant fiddlehead is green.
I think red might be the most profitable though. For fish (and their roe) you've got the crimsonfish, lava eels, crabs, and lobsters. For crops, strawberries, rhubarb, cranberries, and sweet gem berries. And hot peppers, although those aren't worth very much. Rubies would be pretty good money too, especially if you got a couple crystalariums. And for forage, you've got coral year-round!
Yellow would also be pretty good, and might even beat out red. Sarfruit, gold bars, angler roe, pufferfish, honey/mead, and beer. Spring would probably just be a lot of sap though, with the occasional tulip that grew in as the right color

i think yellow would be the most profitable because of starfruit wine. but blue and red seem like good contenders as well (mostly with fish ponds, i was thinking caviar and crimsonfish roe. but of course wine is the best in any playthrough)

The reason you didn’t get the recipe was cuz you entered on a rainy day! It had to be a sunny day to get the cutscene and therefore unlock the recipe!

As a kid I used to make up my own challenges for my N64 games since I played it so often, I had a bunch of games fully memorized lol One of them were what I call 'color challenges' for various games. (Only using a certain colored item, only using a character that had a certain color, only winning a level by getting enough of a certain colored thing.) So I love how people are still coming up with their own challenges like this lol

I really recommend trying the "Bad Beach Farm" mod. It's a cozy little farm, with a lot of ups and a big down. It's honestly my favourite farm.
