It took us around 4 months to get a Terraria speedrun we were happy with, but it’s finally here

My channel generally focuses on a more casual side of speedruns. With these videos I want to show off cool speedruns, explain how they work, and entertain. Hopefully you enjoy the content and maybe even take up speedrunning yourself, because it is truly a lot of fun!

  1. Terraria is an amazing game but my gosh the Speedrun was painful! I would do it again. 🙂

EDIT: Here's the seed for all the seed enjoyers!!!!! 1.1.2.932872851

  2. Before I played terraria I thought it was a joke to me but then after I played it, the game was truly an obsession for me

  3. How does the game run so smooth for one of the guys? it feels like it is not on 60hz, but 144 at least. Can someone tell?

  4. Not even in expert+, for shame! I'm kidding, this game is soooooo fun and i'm glad you guys decided to run Terraria. I think this game is in my top 3 for most time spent playing. I've been playing it since release and it's always so fun

  5. For anyone who hasn’t played Terraria please go give it a try. The game is not expensive at all and you can easily get 1000 hours of enjoyment out of it, and that isn’t even counting the amazing modding scene that it has.

  6. I remember when the wall of flesh was the end game boss.
Since the last time I've played the game, they've added a few extra bosses, it seems. There was no cultist for example. I think when I last played the last boss was the Golem.

  7. Heres whats going on:
In the source code, there's a class named "Tile" designed to store details about each tile, like its type and frame. Interestingly, the class doesn't directly include an "x" and "y" position. Instead, these positions are computed while iterating through a 2D array containing these "Tile" objects.

Through some clever mathematical calculations, rendering begins at the "cameraX" position and goes up to "cameraX + windowWidth" horizontally, and similarly for the vertical axis.

This takes up a load of ram, but not a lot of cpu power.

  8. Lunatic cultist glitch: if you make a platform just under the dungeon ceiling, only a few attacks can hit you (I.E. Ice shards + stars). Just need weapons that'll go through the wall!
