Recently I got a little bored, and built a bunch of Brutalism and it really got me thinking about how much detail actually goes into a build. For this specific one I used buttons that matched my wall material on some of the big open spaces to make them feel a bit more cramped n cluttered. Because the material is the same as the wall the only real contrast that's visible is the shadowed faces of the buttons which I thought gave it a really interesting sort of effect where you know they're there but you still struggle to make them out. For anyone who wants to do this I would recommend using blocks with high contrast so the shadows don't get washed out or anything. For this image specifically I actually increased the contrast in photoshop a bit to make the shadows pop a little bit more.

Side Note if you like this sort of concrete brutal style I actually made a bunch of these similar sort of builds with really subtle detailing meant to trick the eye into seeing weird shapes. I cant really post those in here, sadly since they are all a little too broad to showcase a one single technique but if you wanted to see some of them I made a video about it. so if you're interested you can check it out….
