re: omni-geodes, you can now trade them for stuff in the desert, and some of the extra minerals and artifacts are used for crafting and the fish ponds. If you check the Stardew wiki you can see which ones (most of them) are safe to sell. There have been a LOT of changes in the last couple of years.

Genuinely, it might be better to play from the beginning and see all the new stuff naturally as the game progresses so it doesn't confuse the heck out of you as new things happen.

it's been years for me too, so many updates and i cant even remember how to play stardew valley anymore 😂
If you go under the options menu you can zoom in and out to see the whole farm. Also if you're wanting to craft certain items you'll want to keep some of your gems and such. Check the items so you know what to keep or get rid of.
Would really love long play videos of you starting a new farm, to see all the new stuff. There is so much!

You can put sprinklers outside of the sand in the greenhouse. Iridium sprinkler set up is as you have it and then two on the wooden ridge on the left.
