I’ve always wanted to bring a part of India’s heritage into Minecraft, and after about a month of work, here’s my recreation of the Ghats of Varanasi, one of the oldest and most sacred cities in the world.
For those unfamiliar, ghats are long flights of steps leading to the River Ganga, where people gather for prayer, rituals, and festivals. They hold deep spiritual and cultural significance, symbolizing the flow of life itself. This build was my attempt to capture that atmosphere — the river, boats, lamps, and peaceful chaos of the ghats, all block by block. 🌊✨
